Back in the day bar. Like going back in time. Definitely a locals bar. but they were very friendly to this non-local. I wasn't planning on eating and then I found Escargot on the menu. Snails are very difficult to find these days. They were baked in a ceramic dish with cheese, butter and tons of garlic. They were delicious and there had to be at least 10 pieces. It is also served with two pieces of sourdough like toast that is great for dipping in the sauce. They have a nice selection of craft drafts. The barkeep is super friendly and did the follow-up that is rare to find these days. Nice ambiance. Plenty of off street parking in the rear.

I have always loved "The Road". I lived in the neighborhood for a few years and this place is an absolute treasure. Live music on weekends, and great beer and food served all the time. They tend to even be open in snowstorms, if you need a warm place to eat a burger and sit by the fireplace.

I went there for my nephews birthday before going to Nazcart we had and excellent meal of prime rib they have and outside patio it was a great experience, all the staff and the owner are very polite. So if you get a chance to go there to eat I would have to say go.

The food is the reason to eat here. The lasagna is really good and enough for two meals. If you like meat loaf it is shockingly good. Nachos are excellent choice to start but you might not eat your dinner if you finish the nachos.

The nachos are the best in the area. Huge portion for the price. I always get mine with chilly, but plain and chicken versions are available. They have a decent variety of beers on tap and the staff and locals always seem friendly. I've been going here for nachos a long time and they are consistently delightful.

Stopped in for dinner. It was early - 5pmish and not that busy. Food was good but service super slow. They had two cooks and others that arrived after us with larger parties received their meals before us. There were only two in my party. They did have a very nice fire going!

what a pleasant surprise. We had the escargot, mac and cheese, and turkey dinner. All of it was great. Service was fantastic- friendly, prompt. Nice beer and wine selection AND happy hour is 11:00-6:00 Monday through Friday.

We took a chance on a Google Map search because we didn’t know the area! When we first walked in, we were a little nervous because we only saw the bar, but around the corner was the rustic dinning room! Whew! The menu had so many great options that it was hard to choose! All seemed like mom’s homemade dinners! The food did not disappoint! Very large portions with that down home taste! Next time we pass through, we will stop back for another great meal!

The place is nice, beautiful fireplace. The food is terrible. Everything is so bland. The mac and cheese was dry and I couldn't taste any cheese. The turkey was very dry and had a strange flavor that I just can't put my finger on. The "lump crab" cakes were all cake, no crab. The crab cakes tasted like crushed ritz crackers. The lasagna was so plain. It tasted like a lasagna you could buy in the frozen section of the grocery. The mashed potatoes and vegetable sides were the only things that I enjoyed. The worst part is the prices. They charge a lot of money for food that is just mediocre...or less than. The high prices do not reflect the quality of food.

Bartender was somewhat helpful: felt ignored. Food is mediocre compared to the price point. I Didn't get the caesar salad dressing; was more like watered down italian. Ive had great burgers and other.. a lil disappointed this time. Prices have no reflection towards quality of food served . A little skewed... bust still love my neighborhood establishment!
