Went here with high expectations. Ordered my food and after 45 minutes of waiting I approached the counter to inquire about my food. Apparently they took the order and completely forgot to make it. Pretty lousy service. Food would have tasted better if I didn't have a bad taste in my mouth from the bad service.

I was in town for business and was bored with the other sandwich shops in town, when I found this spot for lunch. It has a warm, inviting, "local" feel to it. I had the goddess wrap with chicken, and it was absolutely fantastic. It came with southwestern potato salad (the daily side), which was equally delicious. It was such a unique combination of ingredients that just worked together perfectly. I would highly recommend.

Great sandwiches and soups. Staff always seems to be smiling. Explained about a milk allergy and the wait staff made sure I knew that even the bread had milk products in it and they could sub out a wrap or make it into a salad. One of the top spots in Niantic.

Cafe sol is a long standing solid bet for fresh healthy eating with a local touch and feel. You would be hard pressed to find more welcoming and present owners who are backed by equally friendly and dedicated staff. Oh and their bike rack is in the shape of.... a bike. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

I am a coffee fanatic if you follow my reviews. I wanted to camp outside and never leave. Of course it was due to a cute woman there but anyhow, back to the subject. I highly recommend their espresso. They actually know how to make it the right way!!!!

A life in our Cabin

The coffee was pretty good here but the sandwiches were 50/50. I gave three stars due to the fact that the smoothies are made from purées rather than real fruit and veggies, needless to say we didn't order one. The atmosphere was pleasant but the person who took our order didn't have the best personality.

We love getting lunch for the office at Cafe SoL. The only complaint we have, is that their hours of operation change too much. When it says they are open, often we have called and no answer. Other than that we LOVE Cafe SoL.

Healthy, flavor-rich sandwiches and wraps, alongside a nice variety of hot beverages, baked goods, and breakfast foods. Interesting decor, and a great location in historic Niantic. Being walking distance from one of the Book Barn locations doesn't hurt either.

Really great place. Everyone is very friendly and the food is wonderful. They don't put a whole bunch of goop into the food so you get to taste the natural flavors. Serving sizes are perfect and the prices aren't bad. Overall, a pleasant place.

Amazing restaurant with excellent food and a warm and friendly staff. I ordered the BLAT, which is basically a BLT with avocado. It was delicious. The staff greets you very warmly and is attentive to your needs, refilling your water and clearing your dishes and checking to make sure you don't need anything else. Just a very nice place down on Main Street in Niantic. I'll definitely go again.

My first time at Café SoL and I loved it! I ordered the Triple B wrap, and everything was fresh and delicious! The service was very friendly. Be aware that it does take them time to prepare your fresh mouth watering food, so be sure to call ahead if you need it to go. I plan on making this a weekly stop since I work right around the corner! Can't wait to go back!

Got dip plate and kid's plain quesadilla. Pretty good overall. Black bean dip was a little bland but strong on raw garlic. Could toss in some cilantro or something. Hummus was good and tasted like it was prepared onsite. Veggies had been cut previously and celery had some brown. Quesadilla was plain as ordered. Service was slow and disorganized but people were "nice". We had hoped to stop in for a quick bite but ended up there for just under an hour. Hot mint chocolate was not remarkable and tasted like powdered mix with froth.

Good spot for a quick breakfast and to get some work done. The oatmeal was delicious and came in a big cup. The bagel sandwich we got was really great made with fresh ingredients. But the macchiato was just okay. The bathroom in this place was tiny. Overall, sandwiches and coffee were a win.

Have eaten here several times, and everything is super good. Staff is friendly. My only negative is their barbecue Chicken salad has cold barbecue chicken. If you haven’t ever had cold uncooked barbecue sauce on cold chicken, you see what I mean. Really weird. But generally every thing is on point.

This place has everything you need to feel comfortable and enjoy a good meal. The food has a good amount of variety, and there are many different drinks to enjoy depending on the time of day and weather. The atmosphere is cozy with a slightly hippie vibe. Colorful walls adorned with a large combination of artwork. This was a home away from home back when I was a teenager.

The picture below is the extended basic with bacon (aka a bacon, egg, & cheese). They added a surprising special sauce with a mustard flavor, which was surprising since it isn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. They serve Ashlawn Farm coffee and overall they are friendly and provide good service.

Not the friendliest of staff and very unprofessional. Waited 15 minutes for two bagels with cream cheese and it wasn't even that busy inside. Definitely not the greatest customer service. All the girls were talking to eachother in the back and moving very slowly. Their cookies/muffins aren't covered and are just sitting out while customers can easily hang over them (since we accidentally found ourselves doing that while we waited for our food) so that is definitely not sanitary.
