Nice coffee shop with lots of space to sit or play board games. They also provide their own board games. The music is pretty loud though so I feel like it would be distracting if trying to work, but haven’t tried that yet. There is patio seating, though, so you can have a bit more quiet out there. Coffee was good. Lots of coffee and tea options.
Great atmosphere and coffee. Friendly staff.
Great coffee shop nestled on the corner of Olde Town Arvada. Staff is super nice, with great smiles. Warm ambiance. Fantastic tea and coffee selections with pastries available as well. Don't miss out!
MUST TRY the Lavendar Latte, with a CBD Shot. I had the most relaxing and pain free evening. The smell of this coffee was so good, the lavendar immediately calmed my busy mind. The $4 CBD shot was well worth it, and in my opinion $4 was a GREAT DEAL! You can also purchase CBD bags of coffee here, I have never seen anywhere else. I enjoy their lighting and cute little succulents they have. Thank you for being here and being a great place in the community
Long line, but really interesting and exciting flavors. I had lavender iced tea and my partner had a killer bee (cayenne, cinnamon, honey) latte - both quite wonderful!!
Delicious coffee drinks expertly prepared complete with decorations in foam atop your latte.
Great coffee and people.
Amazing coffee. Their chai is to die for. The empanadas went smaller- that was a bummer. That salsa though...
This is definitely a rad place to spend your time drinking espresso and getting work done or even listening to the live music on the weekends. They get a huge rush on the weekend but let me tell you, it will always be worth the wait! Can't say enough good things about Hunter Bay and their amazing staff! Always friendly and helpful, plus their new sandwhich menu is pretty kick ass!
Ordered an iced americano with a shot of cbd, paid and tipped. Guy makes a hot cup of americano, then pours it into a mixer cup that is full of ice, then pours in the cbd shot, ok. He then filled a to-go cup with more ice, poured in the warm watered down drink, diluting it even more. After a long pause he said to me he doesn’t know what to do with the rest. I asked if I could have the rest and he took another pause to think about that then said, “Nnnno”, and he dumped it. So, I left with 1/3 of my $8 coffee. Nice job guys.
Delicious coffee (I had a mocha cappuccino) and food decently priced, and a very cool interior. My only complaint was that I found the music to be a little loud (although I will say the music was awesome), and there were no comfy seats, only tables and chairs. But there were plenty of outlets and seating, so it is the perfect place to study or meet people!
Great coffee and a great atmosphere! The man who runs the place, affectionately known as "Bird" by those who know him, has a great story to tell and an amazing passion for great coffee. I was lucky enough to discover this place opening weekend, and I will absolutely be back.
Their coffee & drinks are delicious. I haven’t had their sandwiches, but friends have told me that they are great. It is a bit pricey but I know that what I’m getting is good quality. We usually get coffee beans to take home, and they offer a free cup of coffee with that.
Wow! I love this place! New to the area and stopped in to check it out. They make all of their beans and syrups right in the shop which I thought was really neat. Best espresso in Olde town, not even a contest! The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable too. If you come on a Sunday morning be prepared to wait a couple of extra minutes because they were packed! Worth the wait, though. Will definitely be back.
It's your regular coffee shop with seating inside and outside. They also occasionally have live music.
Great coffee...Great atmosphere...great snacks....even some gluten free options!!!
BEST CHAI LATTE in town! You've got to chai it. Honestly best I've had in all of the Denver area. Cool local artwork on the walls, and it's always changing. Sandwiches are pretty good too. (wish your stickers were free though)
Excellent service, great London Fog with almond milk, and delicious roasted beans that I love using for our pour over and Chemex. You guys have awesome hours, too! I'm excited to frequently visit -- fantastic addition to Olde Town :)
Great coffee and a great spot to hang out.
Really neat little coffee shop. Friendly staff and cool art. Coffee was great
Coffee (lattes) and chai and service all good, but the music performers do NOT need amplification, the space is not so big for that. Even though it was hot out on the sidewalk tables, we had to retreat to hear ourselves. Too bad, inside space nice when not so loud.
The empenads are great
I've been several times. Great nitro iced coffee. The staff were friendly and fast. The music volume was at just the right level.
Amazing coffee, amazing sandwiches and amazing staff make this place an Amazing place to go. Nice patio area right on the corner too! Come support a local coffee spot!
Medium roast coffee too bitter
Hunter Bay coffee was a pleasant surprise in Arvada. The coffee and banana bread is very good! They roast in house, offer organic free-trade coffee, and have a nice atmosphere. Definitely a hip place to chill!
Nice, comfy and cozy coffee shop. The coffee is great here. Very friendly service, Tyler is the best. Great place for a quick cup of coffee OR a nice place to relax with coffee and food.
Love this place. Great coffee. Great people.
Walked in and told the young man working there, “what do you recommend” he was like “uhh” “uhh” a latte or a coffee anything is good.. Come on man give me a break the ice cream shop next door was much better and more professional. I asked what time do you guys close and he was like 6 so I was like perfect I started typing stuff for work and out of nowhere they start cleaning up and stacking chairs they actually closed at 5 I asked If he wanted me to leave and he was like yeah actually... not good customer service and the drink I got was horrible....
Great location close to train, vegan, paleo and gluten friendly., hip vibe and great drinks.
Great latte at HBCR and I loved the friendly, informative staff and bright, big space to spread out and get work done. Lots of power outlets and good music, too. Bonus points for the house-made lavender syrup and one of the gals bringing another patron's dog a bowl of water on the patio. You can't go wrong whether you're looking for a place to grab a quick coffee or a place to meet a friend and settle in for a bit. We'll be back when in the area. Highly recommend!
Awesome place!
Good coffee and friendly staff. I'm glad to have them in Olde Town
Great staff, great coffee, great dog treats.
Great atmosphere. Price are pretty standard as a coffee house.
Expertly pulled espresso and expertly roasted coffee
I love this little place! Such a perfect little location and i love how simple it is. Very reasonable prices, great environment, and super nice staff. it is really perfect for a meeting or a place to work away from home. p.s. (Great place for photographers)
The coffee here is to die for and the customer service is so inviting and overall really great!
Expensive I don't think it's worth the prices
Great food. My wife had a croissant breakfast sandwich and I had the WTF Toast. We had the Nitro Coldbrew and we highly recommend eating here. When we’re back in town we’ll come back and eat again.
Wonderful coffee shop! The drinks are made well & the staff is super friendly, it’s always a joy to stop by. They sell beans, pastries & sandwiches as well with plenty of space to sit & work.
Beautiful local coffee shop. Coffee is of very high quality, roasted in-house in clear view, and available in to-go bags (some infused with CBD!). Vegan snacks and pastries are available as well; highly recommend their donuts. Local artists have a command over the walls and cool art is hung everywhere. The manager and her fiancé are cheery hosts happy to impart knowledge of roasting and brewing. All-in-all, this cafe holds a special place in my heart as a gem in Arvada. It’s welcoming atmosphere and extremely high caliber of product will have me coming back whenever I’m in the area.
Loudest coffee shop in which I've ever drank coffee. Cashier didn't say thanks, even when I tipped him!
I love love love this coffee shop! Super friendly staff, and they have some freaking Delish sandwiches too!
I've been coming to Hunter Bay Coffee at least weekly for a few months now. It all started when I ran out of coffee at home and I stopped by to buy some coffee beans as it was closer to my house than the grocery store. The coffee made from those beans is the best I've ever had. As I returned I was more and more impressed. The cold brew coffee - superb. The nitro cold brew coffee - second to none. The drip coffee - amazing. Sandwiches - extremely tasty. The staff has been quite friendly. They continually amaze me with their generosity and kindness. There are 5 coffee shops within walking distance of my house and this is now always my go-to. I even have a bunch of free stuff on my Starbucks loyalty card and I keep coming here. It's just so much better
I hardly ever write reviews but my experience here was memorably bad. I asked the cashier what was in their “speciality latte” and she looked at me like I had two heads and said “I don’t understand what you’re asking.” I then tried to explain I just wanted to know what was in it besides the normal latte stuff and she still acted like she had no idea what I was saying. I gave up with her and just ordered a medium of it. When I got my drink, it was easily the smallest latte I’ve ever gotten at any coffee shop. Ambience of the place is cool but customer service and price leave a LOT to be desired.
Cool people, great coffee. Didnt try any food, but looked good so I will next time. Love new coffee shops, and now it's on my list.
If you are looking for local coffee roaster with great ambiance and friendly service, don't look any further you are here.
Love this place. Good coffee and a wonderful staff make this a regular stop on farmers market day.
Great people and the best peppermint tea! And Matcha latte!
Great customer service and great coffee! They always work with me whenever if an issue arises (which is very infrequent) and go above and beyond to fix it.
Good coffee (I had the nitro cold brew coffee with an added shot of CBD). I found the prices fair and the quality of coffee great. A range of coffee beans/grounds and accessories available to purchase (including CBD coffee) and pretty cool decor in a spacious setting. A great place to kick-start the morning.
Great place, thank you guys)
Bright, spacious coffee roaster in historic old town Arvada. Friendly service and excellent "chocolate like" nitrogen cold brew. Good nutty espresso flavor when Breve style. They have breakfast empanadas and a variety of baked goods, including sandwiches for lunch.
Since my initial review, they've posted their hours and I've gone in several more times. I've come to absolutely fall in love with this coffee shop. Great vibes, always new local art on the walls, fantastic coffee, fantastic people. Initial review: Barista just didn't seem to give a care in the world. Not friendly or homey. I got kicked out right after I ordered because they were closing. They need to post their hours so people can make the decision as to whether they should go or not.
I’m not too sold on the overall nitro cold brew revolution. However their homemade nitro with dark roast cold brew is excellent.
Awesome place, love the ambiance! Great coffee! There is always a long line that seemingly takes forever to get through - maybe a small price to pay for such fresh coffee! Also, skip the food. Not worth the price! It's very expensive for what it is... This place is wonderful if you're trying to enjoy a cup and catch up with a friend or knock out some work!
Great food and location, unfortunately I came for the coffee. The espresso wasn’t brewed very well and the beans were over roasted.
Arrived mid afternoon and spent over an hour working at one of the tables near the entrance. Ordered a spicy dirty chai latte ($6.50), which came in a to go cup (I didn't clarify and not sure if they do regular mugs or not, but tend to enjoy the option when dining in). The barista warned me that spicy was indeed spicy, and she was correct. Overall, I like spicy so enjoyed it still. The ambiance of the place is good for working or small talk with a friend. The music volume is low and reasonable, with ample seating including a small outdoor patio area. Staff was friendly and seem to have fun amongst each other, which always adds positive energy to the room when getting work done. I'll gladly come back here for coffee and work.
Fun atmosphere and a good location in Olde Town Arvada. I like a dark roast that is full bodied...the coffee could have been a little stronger so next time I'll try a different drink....i had a 1/2 caf drip.
Fun locally owned coffee shop
Great tasting coffee. Was great to be in a place where employees are engaged, hustling, and happy.
Lovely people, nice space, good coffee. Service 5. Coffee 4. Atmosphere 4. Value 4.
Best latte ever and the friendly service makes you feel like home.
Their breakfast sandwich was AMAZING. it's the kind of breakfast sandwich I always crave but can never find anywhere: buttery croissant, avocado, peppers, tomatoes, egg, and strong flavored swiss. Thanks for making my morning today! Will be back when I'm in Arvada again!
Great local coffee shop. Haven't tried the food yet but it always looks good.
Great coffee. Nice people.
Stopped in on an early Fall Saturday and it this place was a very nice stop. Great coffee and a old Town feel. This will be part of our to-do list when we visit Olde Town Arvada.
GREAT new addition to Olde Town Arvada - a must go to if you like coffee!!
Very friendly neigborhood coffee shop. Good food, good choices and great coffee
Not my favorite coffee, but the atmosphere is great and they have a lot of seating there.
Friendly staff and good coffee. Breakfast sandwiches are especially tasty.
Espresso was decent, perhaps a bit over extracted leading to a bit of bitterness, to my palette at least. Music was much too loud for a coffee shop..not very relaxing. I was asked if coffee was for here or to go, i said 'here' and i was served in a paper cup anyway. Seems odd. Why bother asking? Probably by default the best place in Olde Town so i will try it again but at first blush not yet up to Crema, Huckleberry, Black Eye, Box Car level.
Delicious espresso.
Wonderful friendly atmosphere, the coffee selections are plenty and they have all varieties of milks to suit all your dietary needs. We had a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious!! There are plenty of electricity outlets to juice up all your machines.
Delicious coffee, friendly staff...Amazing art!
Coffee was good, but definitely didn't get a very welcoming vibe. Barista immediately informed us upon ordering that they were closing in one hour, making me feel rushed, and the music was so loud that normal volume conversation was impossible.
A wonderful little, cozy coffee shop! Their nitro cold brew is great and I highly recommend the Empanadas!
Friendly staff, welcoming rustic atmosphere, good light, multiple exits, smooth shots. They don't have variety of sizes for those among us that have a more robust demand for morning joe, but what they do pack into a 12oz latte is noteworthy. Definitely worth your time if you're in the area. 4/5 for limited sizes. (Would be half a star were there such a thing.)
Some of the smoothest coffee I've ever had
Excellent coffee...staff....and atmosphere
The Smell when you enter, sublime!
Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Family friendly Friday night. Local artist work on display. Great coffee and education!
Amazing tea!
My favorite local shop and roaster! I'm just getting into coffee and the baristas are knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. In the past I would come by, grab a sandwich and maybe some milk based drink, but I took for granted the variety of beans, roasts, and care that goes into the coffee here. I'm still learning, but Hunter Bay helped me appreciate coffee in the same way that most in Colorado appreciate a craft brew, wine, or spirit.
Best coffee in town. I live in Erie and it's totally worth the drive!
Great coffee and breakfast - their breakfast sandwiches are ridiculously good for the price, and they have good pastries. The light roast coffee isn't my favorite, but their medium is wonderful. Really enjoyable spot to enjoy your coffee and breakfast and get some work done.
Cozy with great coffee and nice staff. Need a couch or two!
A great addition to Arvada's growing and trendy scene. In a world full of quick convenience, it's nice to slow down and enjoy drinking coffee in a relaxing environment. The chill modern music added perfect ambiance. Staff said they make everything in house, so this adds even more to the appeal as I sure if you wanted to know exactly what your eating or drinking, they'd be able to tell you.
The staff was very nice. The coffee is a little bitter.
Coffee is excellent, staff is really helpful and friendly.
Not only did I have an delicious iced latte (or two) and breakfast sandwich, the staff was absolutely incredible. They were kind and genuinely enjoyed interacting with their customers. The space itself was so neat and comfortable. I would 100% spend any cold morning or rainy afternoon here, but unfortunately I live 500 miles away... Anyway, my experience was 10 out of 10.
Not sure if it was the time of day or what, but this place has a very, very loud atmosphere. Not a good place to study or go for a quiet relaxing coffee.
Locals reviews will say anything to influence their points and hits. I am a customer service rep and this wasn't service. "Do you want a Starbucks style macchiato?" Is what I was asked when I asked for a macchiato. I am not sure if that was pretentious host hospitality, I'm not. Seemed like he had other things to do than to be more congenial. Then the barista sounded like a millenial who was bored off his butt. Since when did baristas emo attitude become the new rock star? You see its not the product that sells, its the attitude and personality. 73% of communication is thru facial expression, then tone and words. In this case it was tone more than facial expressions. And $5 for a small macchiato...at least Starbucks gives more macchiato for the $5 I pay for a grande.
Good coffee and atmosphere!
Was visiting the area and needed some fresh roasted, whole bean. Contacted them via email and AJ, the roaster, immediate got back to me with the info I needed. We went to the shop and he wasn't there but both of the girls working were more than helpful! AJ then sent me several emails to ensure everything was fine and we love the beans. Got the Trout Slayer which is single origin Columbian medium roast! Hard to find service like this these days! Wish we were closer!
Incredibly friendly staff and a fantastic nitro cold brew. Also you should try a sandwich.
Best mocha ever! Really cute and homey
Great coffee! Super friendly people and always a great vibe. The guest art rotation is really nice too!
Great coffee—the dark roast is flavorful, yet not over-roasted. Barista drinks like dirty chai and mocha are well executed. Breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. They start with a pre-made egg patty, then you can build your own. Free WiFi. They roast their own coffee. The toaster takes up a good part of the space. Friendly service. They make regulars feel extra special, while being welcoming to first-timers. I like the idea of their Buddy Board, where regulars can buy a friend a drink.
The coffee is pretty good and glad to find coffee I like that isn't starbucks. I felt there was a problem with the barista... he was friendly to people his age and regulars however not so much otherwise.. the actual problem was the $3.99 americano I bought . ..without a thx or any acknowledgement he ended the transaction, not offering the 1cent change. I'm not willing to Ask for my penny back, even on principle. But.. when did it become okay to keep any money, even as low as 1cent if it isn't offered to you? Possibly he knew I wasn't leaving a tip (since I gave him exact change +1cent)& maybe he felt entitled to be dismissive, or, maybe he was distracted however..I actually held out my hand for the 'change'. He closed the drawer and began waiting on the next customer. I could ask for the change or..leave my tip in a review. I chose the latter, only because I shouldn't have to ask for my change.
Lovely coffee drinks with interesting flavors, like lavender and honey rose lattes! Excellent baristas and a fun vibe!
They are friendly here. Great location. Very good coffee. Kids are welcome.
Great coffe and awesome customer service, tip them!!
Hunters Bay Coffee is excellent! I like going here to grab a cup and do a little work on my laptop. The coffee is really good!
