Visiting Breckenridge and wanted to grab a quick breakfast only to end up having to leave immediately. We have a registered service animal, fully trained and with a obviously apparent vest. If his owner does not have him to check food, it could result in a deathly allergic reaction. Since the dog is not feeling well, his owner took him outside to see if he would eat something to help only to have a waiter yell at her for 'leaving a mess' when she was actively trying to take care of the spilt dogfood. Just because you can't SEE that someone has a disability does not mean it dosen't exists. Having rules against dogs in you're restaurant is understandable but you CAN NOT discriminate against people with disabilities and their trained service animals. We will not be returning.

This place gets busy for breakfast, so be ready for a wait. We were told 30 minutes for a party of 2 on a Saturday morning (probably peak hours). But here's a protip: check the bar. It's open seating and serves the full menu. We got lucky and found a spot immediately. As far as the food, the veggie benedict tasted good, but was cold. I suspect they refrigerated the English muffins or tomatoes and didn't bother to warm them up. We also got waffles, but they were dry and gritty. Overall the food was only so-so.

Great breakfast for when you need to get up early seeing as how most businesses in Breckenridge take their time to open up. The Main Street location is really ideal especially with the arcade downstairs that serves pizza. Though to be honest sometimes it seems like they’re too busy or the kitchen is small because all of our meals (bacon & eggs) came out cold/room temperature

So there are a bunch of breakfast/coffee shops in Breckenridge and I am so happy we found this one. First, we got very lucky that we beat the rush to get in here. There was a line of people as we were leaving so go here EARLY. The food was excellent though, even though you may say well it's only breakfast it was great. I had the eggs Benedict which was very good, my son had the chicken fried steak which was awesome and my other son had the cheesesteak omelet which was really great. This is not a big place so if you want to have a great breakfast again get there early enough to get a seat. I loved this place and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Columbine cafe to anyone looking for the best breakfast spot in Breckenridge.

I really wanted this place to be 5 stars, but they fell down in several areas. The good: The service was great. My breakfast burrito was very good and my wife’s eggs were cooked perfectly. The not so good: For a breakfast place, they are in desperate need of better coffee. The hash browns were under cooked and the grits were barely warm. These are easily fixable problems they need to be addressed.

The food here was ok. I ate breakfast here my first and last day in Breckenridge. My last day, I want a two eggs plate with one egg over medium and one scrambled. I was told by the server that they had to be cooked the same way. Who does that? Then I asked him for a straw, he came back with his hand on one end and put it on the table. A straw with no paper on it. I doubt seriously if I eat here again.

The bartender Kevin was super friendly. There was a great atmosphere, prices were really affordable for the big portions and great quality of service. I walked in after twelve hours of travel and felt at home. Kevin and Columbine cafe embody the spirit of Colorado.

Amazing breakfast and worth the wait! They have a great little bar that you can start the day off right before you fill up with any of the delightful breakfast options. The service staff is great and they are all friendly and helpful. The location is perfect because of its location on Main Street. So after you’re finished getting some fuel it’s easy then to stroll all the other shops in Breckenridge.

Two words... Pumpkin Pancakes! THE BEST we’ve ever had! I don’t usually like pancakes so I agreed to split a savory (hash) dish and the pumpkin pancakes. The hash was delicious, but I didn’t want to share the pancakes at all! They’re seasonal so get them when you can!

Stay away from this place. They value attitude over customers. We showed up 20 minutes before they were closing. Place was 3/4 empty. We had four in our party, two of them were parking the car. The host refused to seat us until all of our party was there. We asked if he could just let the two of us sit since they were soon to close and we wanted to water and after all the place was 3/4 empty. Nope, he said, arrogantly, that’s my number one rule. Funny. We thought the number one rule of a restaurant ought to be the customers get to eat and have a good experience. This guy clearly didn’t care, and it seems like he had dished out this awful attitude before. Find another place in Breckenridge. There are many good ones.

Best breakfast place in Breckenridge! Be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes ... but it'll be worth it. The homemade biscuits are huge and not to be missed. Also the Courtyard Special provides an enormous amount of deliciousness for a great price.

The manager actually raised his voice and yelled at me for bringing a stroller into the restaurant. What poor service. He could have asked me instead of yelling. Most places in breck have a sign posted if they don't want strollers in their stores. Maybe they should take a hint. I left the establishment. They were not accommodating and didn't even apologize.

1. Couldn’t break a ticket so I ended up paying 57$ for food as a college student. 2. Patty melt comes with onions and mushrooms and nothing else. Rye bread is bland; meat was not seasoned, food was bland as the day is long. 3. Service was slow. Waited 45 minutes for a table, and even after being seated it took our waiter several trips just to get us beverages. Food took nearly an hour to be brought to table. This is honestly some of the blandest food I’ve ever had and honestly made me question wether the restraint was bad, or if people in Colorado truly fit the mold when it comes to northers hating spices.

I had the classic eggs Benedict. Very good. Wife had single Columbine pancake. Also very good. A single pancake is plenty for a breakfast. It was probably 10 inches across. Service from Kevin was great. Kept our coffee and hot tea filled. Crowded at about 9:30 a.m., but food and service were still tasty and prompt. Pricing also very reasonable.

Great place, friendly staff. The food here was delicious and presented well. If you're going for breakfast I recommend the corned beef hash, absolutely amazing and made from scratch. The staff was outstanding, our waitress even gave us coffee to go after our meal. My wife hurt herself the day before and our waitress took the initiative to give us a bag of ice for the injury. I could go on and on about this one, but do yourself a favor and check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

I feel like my 34 years wandering aimlessly on this earth culminated in our morning trip to Columbine Cafe. OH MY STARS, WHAT A DELICIOUS BREAKFAST. Got the courtyard special and had my mind blown with savory goodness. Also, my wife got the Breck scramble and we split both meals, so I had a pretty good sampling / helping of every breakfast item on their menu and it truly may have been the best breakfast I've ever had. Even the drip coffee was something special. Check this place out if you know what's good for you!

Great breakfast in the town center of Breckenridge. You have to navigate a bit of an alley way to find it, but it's worth the shuffle. Plenty of hearty breakfast options to choose from, as well as some healthier fare. Great service and also kid friendly. I highly recommend during a ski trip to "carbo-load".

Busy breakfast spot serving spicy bloodies and tasty breakfast. They offer a side of sliced tomatoes when I skipped the toast & pancakes. Yay! Get the biscuits - so good! However, the grits were barely warm & not great. Sit outside & enjoy!

This food is fantastic! Huge portions and a friendly server. The host at the beginning was rude, however. I mean, he was downright a drag to communicate with. We had a party of 7 with our seventh driving around the town trying to park. The host made us stand at the door of an empty restaurant until our last party member entered. And then recounted us to be absolutely sure we were all there. It was awkward to say the least and I hope not standard practice for this establishment. Please educate your host on how to properly address situations like this. If almost the entire party is present, seat them. If you make excuses for this, then expect people to seek service elsewhere and leave low grade reviews like this. It’s not Columbine granting us the privilege to eat there... It’s customers like us paying you to stay in business.

Place is known for breakfast. I had Salmon & eggs Benedict, delicious big portion. Hubby had courtyard special, which is basically a large portion of everything. Service was excellent except the hostess, no smile or greeting & we felt like we were a bother to her. She just needs to be pulled aside & explain how she is the first impression a costumer has; so until the server came we were unsure we wanted to stay. Server had a big smile, and very informative.

Nice place to eat, with plenty of breakfast options. Prices are reasonable, especially for a ski resort town. We ate there on a Wednesday, and, according to the bar tender, it was unusually busy. He did warn us that Saturday and Sunday were very busy--an hour wait--unless you get there at 7:30. Food was tasty, and my wife said her mimosa was awesome.

Food is good but the service is lousy. The waiter/bartender openly talking about how they don't need to do better because they'll have business regardless. Besides that, it's slow, small and crowded. No substitutions, no split checks which goes to further that they just want to do the minimum. I get that they're always busy and don't really need to do better (because of tourism) but that's a terrible attitude to have.

The bar tender is flat out rude. We came in. There was a wait. The owner said there was a table open at the bar. So we sat. After 15 minutes I went up to the bar. She would not even make eye contact. I asked for menus. She handed them. I went back up to the bar to attempt to order my food. She completely ignored me and proceeded to take drink orders. She would not even make eye contact. The food isn’t that great so why would you even bother? The staff is generally very unfriendly and act like they cannot be bothered.
