It's good but I wouldn't order the entree pasta again. It came with obviously the same slices of chicken they use on sandwiches and I don't know what happened with the garlic bread but it had no flavor but soggy except two bites of grainy garlic powder. I don't mind the powder but it was uneven and I question what was spread on it. Service was great. So was the coffee and the bite I tried of my BF's sandwich was good too. I just wouldn't pay $8 for sandwich meat on pasta and whatever you'd call that bread.

Love this place but I feel like the food has not been the same sense it opened... I have been going to a different Coner Bakery for the past 15 years in orange county and their food has not changed over the year it remains the same. So maybe it's a Bakersfield thing where things are amazing when they 1St open but then it's all down hill from there, but I hope not because I love Corner Bakery and I would hate to have to drive out of town just to eat there

I love corner bakery but I just went yesterday bought a chicken carbonara and it was really cold so I ask if they can change it they offered be pastries but I said no I just want my food .. when they gave me my food it was still the same thing just a little bit more heated. I didn't want to complain and I was really hungry so I just ate half and when I got home I ended having diarrhea and vomiting. And I'm pregnant and it was just a really bad experience that day.

Great place to grab a meal in downtown Los Angeles, although it's more for the workers looking for lunch on a weekday. Their service is fast and their people are very nice. I love getting the pick 2 option which allows you almost unlimited combinations of 2 half portions from their soup, salad, sandwich, or panini menus.

This place is bad! This was my first visit and I found it under staff. Over 11 tables with plates from previous customers. We waited for our food and coffee for over 30 min. I had to go and ask for my latte, my wife wanted a refill on hers and the self serving stations were empty. May others around me had to the same.When our food finally got to us it was 1/2 cold. All of these are the reasons why I will never come back. NOT EVEN JUST FOR COFFEE!!

I really like the dishes here, on paper. I've been here 3-4 times, and everything I've ordered on the menu always sounded great. And, to be fair, I've never had a bad meal here, but, for whatever reason, the execution always felt lacking.Too salty, too sweet, too much sauce, not enough sauce, etc. Without exception, every meal I've ever had here was OK, and just OK. I couldn't remember what I ordered last time I was there because the trip was just that unmemorable.

The Corner Bakery offers a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches, and soups. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the Chicken Apple Sausage Panini or I usually go for cinnamon roll if I get a sweet tooth craving. For lunch, I go for the club panini. While the lines can get long from 7-9am and from 12-1:30pm from all the professionals working around the downtown LA area, usually the wait time isn't longer than 15 minutes.

Incredibly poorly managed. 9 am on a Saturday. One new kid at the register, very slow and got one of our oatmeal orders very wrong. They are out of cinnamon rolls...at a bakery. Trying to order their cinnamon french toast. I asked if i can just order plain french toast? Nope! Ok, eggs with orange juice. Ok, out of orange juice too. Cashier at least tried to give us a free soda. Saw a kids apple juice and gave that free instead so that was nice. Eggs arrive with dry toast. Ask if they have jelly. After a few minutes server comes back empty handed. Out of all their jellies. Asked for butter and received. What well managed bakery is out of o.j., cinammon french toast, jelly, and who knows what else, at 9 am? Food was good though, and they rectified the incorrect oatmeal quickly.

I've always loved Corner Bakery. I was so pleased when this location opened! This is the largest one I've been to and truly enjoy grabbing a cup of soup or panini there. The staff is beyond nice and helpful especially since I go in on my own with my young toddler. Very clean everytime we go in and the baked goodies are delicious.

Asked Bixby what the best sandwich place in Bakersfield was. Two came up and they were right next to each other. Choose Corner Bakery because of the seating but I'll return because of the deliciously fresh food, great service and the generous portions. Very poor customer service. Came here for lunch to try it out and I’ll never be coming back to this location. I received bad customer service from the cashier(Elizabeth) who had an attitude and when she gave me the food I had ordered she got mad when I asked her if it included a side because she never asked me what side I wanted in the beginning. She already had chips in the bag where my order was in. When I told her that I wanted a Caesar as the side she got mad and when she told the cook to make the Caesar they were both giving an attitude to each other. After receiving my Caesar I told the cook thank you and he completely ignored me. I know he heard me because he was looking at me.

I love the Corner Bakery. It's one of my favorite places to eat. This location is beautiful. The service is excellent and very fast. The food is very fresh and tasty. It was really nice because I had my service animal with me and I was not hassled. We were even allowed to stay inside. My service animal is a small dog and since he hurt his back he was in a stroller. I was able to stroll him around comfortably and actually sit at a table comfortably without getting in the way of other patrons.

Ordered one sandwich and was told they didnt have it that the menu was old. Took pulled pork so not to make her waite. It was close to cold, the cheese hadn't begun to melt. Bread was not tasty at all. Cesar salad had no taste. I did get some dressing and it was ok then. Capachino tasted watered down. It was clean!

There's so much "hating" (as the kids say) upon this cafe and bear in mind that the employees are working to the best of their abilities to provide exceptional service. Notwithstanding the fact, that it's in a busy location adjecent to the Metro Center and plenty of people have anxiety to not arrive late to work. The demand is high and there's only so much that they can do for their customers. I've felt compelled to share an experience among fellow reviewers and interested readers. About a month ago I've purchased a sandwich, I noticed that it had great flavor and finished it. Later I was notified that a cook named Susan made it, she did a great job! Ericka is a friendly cashier and gave excellent service to customers, myself included. They're a very knowledgeable upon the menu and drinks. That's the way restaurants should be! I love the busy Downtown atmosphere in contrast to the ease of calmness inside the cafe. Great job!

This was a very pleasant experience. Place clean, staff helpful and friendly. Food was delicious, fresh and exactly what I would have expected. I like the location of this restaurant. Outside seating with not a terrible view. It can be seen from the road but it's a very busy street corner so if you're not stuck at the red light its going to be a challenge. Handicap accessible, restrooms, perfect for for any age.

I order online today 02/05/18 a breakfast (American Scrambler) that was supposed to include potatoes, I even asked for red bell peppers to bé added at an extra charge which was okay but then when I picked up my order there were no potatoes at all. I asked the guy who handed me my order what happened and he simply said oh we dont have anymore potatoes and we dont serve them after 11am but hello, no where on the website states that and they still charge me for the whole meal? What kind of service is that? And when I told him that he simply said "oh but we gave you fruit" Uh excuse me, I wasnt told or asked if I wanted that. People, I recommend you check your order and make sure its complete before even paying. I work in the same building, for sure I'm telling all my co workers to check their food or simply not go anymore. Bad bad bad

First time JESSICA answered, second time REBECCA answered and they were both so helpful. I finally ordered with KASS for catering and she made sure i was taken care of. I always had great service, tasty food, and order was always correct when eating in. Not so much when ordering takeout online. I ordered cavatapi pasta with a salad. This comes with a free garlic bread. I recieved linguini pasta, and a salad with the wrong type of dressing and no bread. Similar order, but not what I wanted. The pasta was also a smaller amount than what I usually receive in store. It had less noodles and what seemed as the same amount of sauce. This resulted in a soup like meal. The salad was also placed on top of the hot pasta resulting in a hot salad. Disappointed, and not worth ordering online. I will rather wait for my food at the restaurant and get it correct.

The food was is good. I'm a regular customer at other corner bakery cafes, but this one for being so new the cleanliness doesn't even rate up to satisfactory for my standards. I tried three different Tables each had been cleaned but still had smudges of food or jelly on them. Kind of like a quick wipe job. The windows are filthy with hand prints on nearly everyone of them, and this was in the morning so I'm guessing they don't clean them in the evening before they close. It made me wonder what the kitchen looks like if the rest of the place isn't maintained very well. Again the food was as good as any other corner bakery, it's just hard for me to fully enjoy my meal when I'm looking around at at the cleanliness of this nice cafe. I hope this is helpful so that management can focus a little more on maintaining a cleaner atmosphere for there customers. I will be back to this corner bakery in the near future to eat and see if this review has helped out at all.

Standard good lunch and breakfast. I wish their selection was bigger, the menu is somewhat limited. Portions could be better as well, sandwiches always come out looking small. The Anaheim scrambler with fruit is a good wake up. Prices are so-so, you'll spend $8 plus tax for a regular turkey sandwich. All in all a decent breakfast/lunch spot but there are much better options.

If you like Panera, you'll enjoy Corner Bakery. The staff is always friendly and this location is always spotless. Plenty of space inside the restaurant, but they are working on an outside patio for those who are adventurous. Food is good, although the prices may be considered a tad too high for the meal selection. Be sure to try their iced teas.

I stopped at this location for lunch and waited 30 min for my food before I walked to the register to cancel as I had to return to work. The manager apologized and packed my food to go quickly and refunded the full amount. Stuff happens but its how it is fixed that matters. Thank you.

I rarely give a 5-star rating, but this one earns it. Fresh, tasty, healthy. I'm not too into cookies or muffins or cakes (although they look delicious), but try the panini! Or the salads. Or the subs. Or the soups. It's all good, and they're super friendly, welcoming people there. It's way better than any overly-trendy bakery style café that might be down the street.

Corner Bakery is a solid establishment. I've been to this location near my work probably more than the one by my house. I have my usually go to of chicken pomodori with a side Caesar salad instead of the chips. It's only like a buck or so extra. The service is always spot on. I've never had to wait a long time or have my order wrong. The staff are all super communicative and they all seem to enjoy helping and serving their patrons. If you're in the area give this corner bakery location a try.

Very cute inside and the outdoor patio is a nice touch. It seems like it would be a good place to sit and have a coffee or study. We ordered paninis, the Cali Grilled Veggie was good but really drippy and I can't confirm how fresh the veggies were but they seemed canned or overcooked (I checked the calorie count later and it was around 800 so I wouldn't say it was exactly healthy!) Overall, it was cute but I dont think I'll be going back.

The food was mediocre at best. The bread seam stale and it's supposed to be a bakery. I was not impressed and have no intention of returning. It's just one more fast food with very very high prices. You're better off going to Burger King or McDonalds.

When ordering by phone. Pleadebe sure you check order before leaving. Never trust anyone because chances are you will be missing a side. Very fast and efficient service. Every person at this location is very helpful. The can be a but slow at times with the food, but when it does arrive, it is good. Also must try a pastry or cookie that they sell. The items being freshly baked in house is always hard to past up. I would come back to this Corner Bakery and try their specials next time.

I asked for large cup of coffee and they gave me a half of the cup. So essentially I got a small cup for the large price. I complained to them and within the next day I got a reply. Very nice and polite. I was offered a free large cup on the house. So I guess in the end they are trying to keep up the customer satisfaction. But then again the coffee on the second cup doesn't taste as good as usual. Nonetheless, it's still good gesture so I decided to give them 3 stars

The mandarin oranges in my (in and of itself mediocre) salad were rotten and fermented and spoiled the taste of the rest of the salad! When I brought this issue to the attention of the staff, she shrugged disinterestedly and did absolutely nothing. Serving rotting food - wow!

Food was good, but expensive, however that is likely for obvious reasons as this chain focuses on organics and health foods. There's a lot of options, and surprisingly the portions are large enough so that even a voracious eater like myself is full with the full sandwich or pick two menu options. I would recommend this place for the more well off, health minded crowd, and it's definitely a place to go for of you're looking for a good atmosphere!

The line was incredibly long, and when we finally got to the front, they were out of half the things we tried to order. Once we ordered it took over 40 minutes to get our food. We discovered that, despite making dietary restrictions clear when ordering, they put in something that a member of our party was allergic to. Not wanting to wait for another eternity, we ended up switching plates. Really disappointing.
