We stumbled across this place in google. Otherwise you would easily miss it. This place has amazing food and service! I had the catfish, hush puppies and fried green tomatoes. Our server was Annie and she was awesome! We even met the owner during our visit. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious...We loved it so much Friday night that we went back again Saturday night...We are from Iowa and drove down for the Foreigners concert and was recommended to go to The Hollywood Cafe...Don't let the outside of the building scare you...Go in...enjoy the hospitality and have some amazing southern food... next time we are on the area we'll definitely be back ☺

I've literally only talked 3 bites and am just amazed how great the ribs are. I got the 1/2 with 2 sides. There potato salad is awesome. I came off time so slow. Service was great and food came fast. This is a little place tucked back. If it had not been recommended I'd just driven by. So consider this a recommendation :)

The first time we went there was awesome experience, but the second time we brought our friend , it was horrible. Their food is very big portion which is very good. But the second time we waited nearly 1hrs, eventually we have to leave to eat Wendy's instead. It was busy which we understood the food may slow but from beginning to step in no people come to help us table and menu and water etc... very bad experience after that night. Go there if you are local!

I have been to The Hollywood several times to pick up to go orders and they use to be really good and always got my order right but they have really went down hill lately. They totally got my order wrong; guess I should have checked it before I left. I will not be getting food from them again.

It doesn’t look like much from the outside, in fact it’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. Inside though there is a quirky mix of antique, blues, and historic decor. I went here with my family and had a good time. We had good service, though it was late and there were only a few tables our food came out promptly. Most of our party ordered the fried catfish and loved it! I ordered a burger and it was good as well. The fried green tomato appetizer was almost as good as my mom’s fried green tomatoes and the onion rings I got with my burger were a close second to the best I’ve ever had.

Best food of our cross country road trip. After eating great food all over the country (especially down south), there could be only one that takes the top spot. The Hollywood was it. The fried pickles. The fried green tomatoes. The hush puppies. The ribs. Everything was ridiculous. Plus, the staff and atmosphere only added to the experience. Keep it up. Please please please! If you are within 50 miles of this place, eat here.

Oh mayne! I'm glad this restaurant is over an hour away from my home. If not. I would really gain 30lbs. The frog legs, catfish, and beef stew were insanely good. Heck, their cornbread was better than mine. Now that's saying something! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Tunica area. It is worth the stop!

After a difficult time FINDING the place, we were welcomed in and attended by friendly folk. The food was very good. I had catfish, turnip greens and fried pickles and hush puppies. Pickles beets were good too. I recommend this place!

It took forever for us to get attention from the waitress. It was me and my husband and my daughter and when we walked in we noticed that it was mostly white people and we are black. We were asked by a young black waitress how many and we said three and she turned and looked around and we chose a table and sit down. When someone came to the table to take our order we were not ready to order and we asked for a couple minutes. Well to make a long story short after about twenty minutes she still had not come back and otber people had come in that were white and the waitress that had come to our table was white and she rushed to serve all the white people first. I waited another ten minutes and I told my husband to let's leave but he said wait so I did, so about two minutes later I decided to call her to tell her that we were ready to order. We ordered and it took another twenty minutes before we got our food so we will not be going back to Hollywood cafe. You could tell we were not wanted there.

Casino food is quite pricy, so I ventured out for local fair. This cafe is filled with: history, good food, and a friendly atmosphere. The servers were patient with us, as the menu was new to us. I chose some delicious Southern fried chicken. This place is the place for comfort food. We finished our meal with some delicious cake. Please take suggestions from your server. We finished by taking pictures of this historical building. I highly recommend it.

What an awesome place! My wife and I just visited Tunica and stopped at Hollywood Cafe on a whim. It was so good, that we had lunch there again on our way home to Tennessee. The food was superb and the service excellent. I had the catfish platter (twice) and my wife had the Hollywood Burger. She really liked her Burger and my catfish was phenomenal. The hush puppies and fries were fantastic too. We also had the fried pickles and fried green tomato appetizer combo. The fried pickles were the best I've ever had. The place is old, and not much to look at from the outside, but you must stop here for lunch, at least, if you're in the area. It is a famous blues club also, with great history. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

We may be the only people who've traveled hundreds of miles out of our way to come back to Tunica to eat at the Hollywood Cafe. I tried their fried pickles about 4 years ago, but had just eaten breakfast at Harrah's, so we were not ready to eat a whole meal. We vowed to come back someday and eat, which we did last week. The fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, and onion rings in "THE HOLLYWOOD CAFÉ “VEGETABLE PLATE” PLATTER" were great. Also, the ribs were wondeerful. Everything we ate their was outstanding, and the service and atmosphere were perfect.

Was merely visiting the town for the casinos until we stumbled upon this place. The staff (Anne & Terri) were phenomenal and the food was outstanding, I am well traveled and the bellybuster burger was by far the best I ever had. We made it a point to eat there 4 times during our weeks stay, the old historical motif sets a very welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The portions and pricing were extremely affordable .If you visit the area and don't stop in then "SHAME ON YOU", did I mention the finger lickin' good deserts, mmm'mmmm. I just wish they had one at home in Kentucky.

We have tried to eat there twice with no luck. The first time we stood at the door for a half hour. A table close to the front let us know they had been waiting for a ticket to check out for 45 minutes. We finally gave up and left. Tonight we showed up to empty dirty tables. We stood at the front for ten minutes before someone finally told a waitress to come see us. She let us know she had to wipe off a couple of tables and she would be back. 10 more minutes pass and tables still dirty. The waitress was told again we were up front. Someone else came and cleaned table and sat us. We sat there for another 10 minutes before we had to request our waitress. She comes back to let us know she would be back in a few minutes. While waiting for our missing waitress they managed to set the next table and promptly take drink orders and still no acknowledgment we are in the same building. That was our cue to leave. We won't be back and famous gives no cause for lousy service. They are always helpful at the blue and white

I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! we drove to this restaurant from Detroit. We did it because the walking in Memphis song mentions this place. Boy did it not disappoint. Andy our waiter was as polite and helpful as any wait person I've ever encountered. My only regret is I didn't get to see Mrs. Muriel Wilkins, perform on her normal Friday night. It was a different band, who was entertaining as hell. That 22 oz ribeye was cooked to perfection and one of the better Steaks I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Saw this place on the Travel Channel. Small place that doesn't look like much but amazing food and service. Annie was our server and very attentive and welcoming. She even got us the local travel brouchure with their ad to get us a free appetizer. I had the catfish dinner which was amazing. Mom had the pork chop special which was very good and the girlfriend had the pulled pork which was delicious. Onion rings are huge and you get more than enough to share. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Delicious fried pickles! Visiting Tunica and just happened across this restaurant. They’re apparently known for their fried pickles as it’s on their signs. The building looks really rundown but once inside the restaurant you see how it adds to the ambiance. They offer a split appetizer where you can get a smaller portion of two different appetizers instead of one bigger portion. We had their fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. The fried pickles were AMAZING! The ranch was SO GOOD, too.This was my favorite part of a delicious meal. My boyfriend and I shared two entrees, the club sandwich and a triple cheeseburger. The burger was cooked to perfection and the club sandwich was magnificent. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The fried okra was average. The greens, however, tasted like they had come from a can. For the split appetizer, cheeseburger with a side of greens, club sandwich with a side of fried okra, one draft IPA and 2 ice waters (which they charge 50 cents a glass for) our total ticket before tipping was $33.85. It was worth every penny! The desserts looked Delite, too, but we were too stuffed to try it!

Camping near Vicksburg, saw a piece on Public TV about the MS Delta. The restaurant was featured on it. Checked the map and got there at noon. We wanted frog legs because the TV mentioned them. None! Best steak sandwich I have ever eaten, excellent coleslaw. Fried green tomatoes, fried dill pickles, fried Jalapenos, and onion rings delicious. This wasn't a drive-in or a diner, so it must be a "dive." Loved it. Good service,, good food, good prices, and in the middle of nowhere! Our kind of place.

By far a must stop on any trip! We come from Iowa to eat here at the PHBA world. They have the best catfish ever! The staff is super friendly and the food is excellent. Read up on the history. This place has quite the story. Many celebrities have been here and showcased the Hollywood in their arts. Large, southern helpings at affordable rates and a good selection of drinks including Southern Prohibition lager that is outstanding! Make sure to say hello to Muriel on the way out.

My coworkers and I have given them so many chances to get it right. Shame on us for going back every few weeks. The place is a joke. Hire a new staff or close it down.

Wanted to try it because we saw it on TV. Waited 15 minutes before anyone even took the drink order. Fried pickles are amazing (their signature dish). Then another 30 minutes before food came out. Some dishes were good; others not so good. Probably will not be back.

The front of the building is parallel to the road so it can be easy to drive by. The building does not have a handicap entrance. There is a small porch with about 4 steps on each end. Entering the building is like stepping into the past of Mississippi. Dark stained hardwood floors, distressed plaster walls decorated with whimsical pictures, photos of blues and country singers and even a photo of Sammy Haggar posing with the server we had who's name is Karen. The place is small but welcoming and has a bar with drink specials. The bar had an interesting setup. Again there was an array of interesting pictures, musical instruments and antique furnishings. Casual dining atmosphere that one might expect to see on the television show, "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". Karen was a gem and she made you feel like you were family coming to visit her. She was so nice and personable and gave us recommendations. She also offered suggestions and described the food perfectly. Really nice lady! All of the staff was welcoming including the cook that prepared our food perfectly. We arrived about 25 minutes before they closed and we were welcomed like they had all the time in the world. And it was on July 4th. We apologized for our late arrival and we were assured that it was not a problem. We were their last customers of the day and were made to feel like we were their first. The food was outstanding. Appetizers were generous and could easily be shared among 2-3 people. There were many side selections to choose from. Their menu is strictly southern cooking from BBQ about any way you want it to collard greens, fried green tomatoes and fried dill pickles. They have a dipping sauce of wine cheese served with the fried dill pickles that we could have drank with a straw it was so good. If you like good southern food, casual dining and friendly people, this is the place to visit in Tunica just a few minutes away from the casinos.

We were in Tunica, and wanted to try a famous local place. We found it. The server Anjanette was excellent. I had the burger with fried pickles. Both were good and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the catfish. I tried it and it was the best catfish I've had in a long time. The only bad thing I can say is the sausage and cheese plate wasn't worth the price. 7 pieces of very thin sliced smoked sausage and a few cheese cubes with packets of club crackers wasn't what I expected. But all in all a 5 star place with a great country feel and excellent food. I can't wait to go back to order the catfish. Thanks for the great meal!!
