If you go in late at night expect a bad time. I was the only one who snuck in and out in under a half hour. Heard several tables complain they'd been there over and hour. One tables order was lost and another to go order seemed to be lost too. There's was one server there doing a great job of trying to manage all of the tables trying to clean up the mess of the other waiters. He's the one who took care of me and got me in and out so quickly.

Worst meal I have ever eaten at Denny's steak was over cooked and tough. The rice wasnt cooked at all. The squash was barely cooked and sitting in a quarter of an inch of grease and no garlic toast. Good thing I got pancakes for the dog. He was kind enough to share. Will not stop here again.

Put in order, and after40 minutes for a simple grand slam order, we ask waitress about our order. She sent manager over. Manager said she would get the cook moving. After 10 minutes more, we cancelled and left. Don't know what the problem was, they were not exceptional busy. Other customers seemed to be having the same problem.

My husband and I Was there tonight and the waitress started out really friendly but she seemed a little confused. After about 35 minutes or so hear table 24.? Puzzled I'm still wondering where our food is. A staff member is at a table next to us and my husband asked. She tells us they had a mix up and had put our our in the system and pushed it to the front of the line. Needless to say, i wasn't happy and after about 5 more minutes we left. Only after observing our server and the cook in a heated argument. Poor management. Poor staff. I was so looking forward to that meal...

I waited a while to be seated and after the waitress brought my drink she went into visiting mode at the counter. I was waiting for her to take my order and I kept looking at her while she was looking at me and I finally just got up and left. She was too busy visiting to take my order.

13 total tables in the restaurant and running 38 minute breakfast tickets. Woman at the front complaining she doesn't have time for the phone each time it rings. Eggs were hot. Pancakes sat in the window for 25 minutes so...they were inedible. Restaurants run well with a manager present

I do like to visit Denny's a few times a month but Sunday mornings are pretty busy compared to evenings but the wait time still isn't normally that bad. Their prices are reasonable and they they have a larger menu than a lot of restaurants in the area. For the most part the food is good but I have had over cooked food a few times. I do recommend the buttermilk pancakes they are better than most.

Everything was almost as good as usual. I ordered the Bourbon Bacon burger. It was cooked good, but the presentation was off. It was stacked lopsided and it slid out the side. The waitress was exceptionally good.

Denny's is the Standard of Diner eating. So many semi truck drivers can't be wrong. Good hot food. Okay Coffee. Over the top breakfast selection and desserts for the kid in all of us. All this with family friendly prices. This is a great place for a coffee rest stop or a full service meal. (But they really need to work on the coffee quality...just saying)

Went in, added our name to the wait list, even though there were at least 10 open tables. Waited about 20 minutes, and a second host/server started seating people without looking at the list. I stood there for another 5 minutes and then left. Bad service, no coordination. We were probably the 3rd party to leave before being seated.

Denny's is a great "late-nite" spot. Restaurant is clean and orderly. Service is friendly and well paced. The food has been cooked nicely and never a wrong order. Most importantly: never will your mug remain empty; hardly will it even get low.

However, Denny's found the jewel they have been in need of for a very long time and her name is Miranda. The food was good once we received it, it took 55 minutes from order to table. Also when the eggs arrived, over medium, the whites were still runny. The bacon and sausage were Luke warm along with the hashbrowns. We had to wait on the toast and English muffin because I guess 55 minutes was not not enough to toast the bread. The restaurant was not very busy either. A couple that came in about 30 minutes after we did got their meal at the same time.

Love our local Denny’s; friendly and helpful staff, and the food is as good or better than other local chains, and more affordable. Denny’s has become my friends’ place of choice to gather after a meeting, or just when we want to share a meal and talk— they don’t mind when we linger after a meal to visit, and we have come to think of some of veteran staff as friends. (However, we are mindful if they are busy not to tie up tables they need to reseat, and we reflect the extra service in the gratuity— always pay servers for their work, a tip is not a gift, it is due compensation.) Highly recommend Denny’s for any casual gathering to share a meal and relax with family or friends.

Tuesday, Jun 19, 2018 14:30 The worst Denny's I've ever been! Asked for a cup of coffee. She (server) took used cup that was left by previous guest and gave me coffee in it without washing it! I told her that the cup was dirty and she brought another cup that was dipped in mayonnaise or something. I asked for a clean cup again. Then she unwillingly took it and finally gave me a clean nice.... paper cup! What a great service! Not stopping here again!

I am usually a regular here at this particular place. Nice staff for waiters. Tonight on this particular night after I got done with work I put in my usual order and everything as I am sitting at my table management for tonight is sitting at a booth table talking with customers for over 10 minutes and is not helping the staff with anything at tables. Everything is scattered and unorganized and he seemed like he really didnt care about what was going on around him or what needed to be done.

Went here for breakfast today. We were seated right away with 6 people so that was nice, but then that is where it all fell apart. We were seated for at least 15 min before we had to ask for a waitress to come over. One of the managers came and took our drink orders. The waitress was then there soon after to take our meal orders. When we finally got our food one person did not get all of what was supposed to be on the burger. One person ordered biscuts and gravy and it looked like a suausage link had just been cut up and added to the top, one person had a hair in their food. Waitress only came back one time for refills. One person got up and got their own refill. When we went to pay the General Manager was cashing us out, we stated that we were not impressed, she asked why, and we proceded to tell why, but while we were talking (taking and not in any way being rude, just voicing concern) she did not make eye contact one time and she was busy doing other things behind the register. She handed back money and that was it. There was not an apopogy or an explination, or reaction, just handed money back. We would have paid our bill in full without question, just wanted to voice our concerns. We will definetly not be returning to this facility.

I placed a togo order totalling about $50. I used to frequent this Dennys location, but hadn't been there in awhile. It wasn't even that busy. I came in after 20 minutes, the time I was told it would take to make my order. I stood around for about fifteen more minutes, after telling the wait staff I was here to pick up my order. I saw one of the girls trying to bag my order, then become frustrated because it wasn't all there. Finally a Host came over and informed me that it would be another ten or 15 minutes until my order was ready. He said the kitchen was understaffed, and the manager had just gone back to help them. So, they already had the 20 mins to prepare my order, and I waited around for another half an hour. My chicken strips, which were apparently the hold up, were warm and delicious! The rest of the food was complete trash, at that point. 50 bucks wasted. Id rather have just cooked dinner myself. Very disappointed. Won't be back anytime soon.

One waitress on duty. With 8 tables to serve. She had to let several people coming in that she was the only one and that they would have to wait approximately 1 hr for their food. She was not kidding. We waited one hour for our food. The food was sub-par. I asked for medium-raw steak and they brought out a fully cooked tough steak. I don't blame the waitress. She did as best as she could. It was a Thursday and a group was playing chess in the back area of the dining room. Too much for 1 waitress.

I am often at Flying J's with a Denny's in it. This one, by far, had the best service and friendliest staff in comparison to the others I have been at. I ordered a Cobb salad which is my usual, and it was fresh, and properly made (as in all of the ingredients were there and was presented nicely).

So we have a hate, hate, hate, hate, love relationship with this Denny's. I am giving them 5 stars now. That may change? We will see!! Over the past 10 years we have been to this Denny's several times. EVERY SINGLE time it doesn't matter if we are there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner....the food is horrible and the service is worse. We decided to give them yet another try on Saturday. This time the food was great, the service was quick and friendly, and we finally had a good experience here!

I couldn't sleep and got hungry around 3am. I googled 24 hr restaurants near me and Denny's was the first and closest of all given. As soon as I entered Denny's, I was greeted by Brenda. Brenda was a young vibrant hostess/waitress. Brenda was very welcoming and friendly. She served me promptly and pleasantly. Fred took my food request and made me the best sandwich of prime beef I have ever had! Fred and Brenda worked together as a team to make sure my visit was more than a delight. I am very excited to see them at Denny's again!

Want the best service in town way out in Northwest Davenport off I-80 exit, there are several great servers but Kathy is the B.E.S.T. Food is good, plenty of variety to choose from, if you leave hungry, you really weren't hungry now were You? I say that because of the variety. While you're there it is attached to the FLYING J TRUCK/TRAVEL STOP. Pick up snacks, games, beverages, gas and diesel. Clean restrooms every time I've been through there. The cooks are great. If you need your food tweaked just a little - for example I don't like cheese on my eggs, they'll go out of there way and make sure there is NO cheese on my eggs. Easy on/off ramp. Give it a try. I know you'll be happy. The portions & prices are beyond fair. :-) No...I do NOT work there. I shop out in the vicinity so I go in quite often.

We got there and there were plenty of seats available and only 3 other groups of diners, we were told very rudely that " it was gonna be a minuite." After about 15 minuites we were seated our service from there was good, the food was good. This was the worst Denny's I have ever eaten in the place had a funny smell to it. There was only 1 other couple dining when we arrived. There was dirty tables everywhere and no one seemed to care to clean them. Our order was messed up some missing items and only saw the waitress when we ordered and then when she brought our food. Asked to have ticket adjusted and she asked if we wanted our missing items to go...REALLY????

I am not one for reviews but after literally just leaving this place, I feel like I need to express my concerns. The ceiling was falling in in several places, new hire couldn't keep up with the few customers that where in the dinning room. The cook(s?) was rude as hell to said new hire (snapped at here for asking questions etc), took forever on our orders and both where missing items. (Bacon, avocado.) I'll never be back here again, I'm forever traumatized.

Wish I could comment without 'contributing' a star. Mgr Toni, absolutely worthless. Meal cold, 30 mins after receiving my order I had to walk to waitress for a drink refill. 4 customers in restaurant, 3 waitresses 1 mgr. They made it clear I was interrupting their beauty pageant. Never Again.

I am a truck driver so I have limited places to eat at . I stay at this Flying J quite often and when I do I like to eat at this Dennys because I like their food. However, I went in to just get a sandwich to go today and right before I walked in a huge crowd of people walked up so I knew it was going to take a while to seat all of these folks so I walked on in and as I was asking the waitress for a menu, which she didn't mind handing to me, the 'hostess' told me I needed to wait at the door. I did not acknowledge her I just took the menu and went out into the waiting room to look at it and to give her time to seat all of those people. After they were seated I walked up to the counter/register with menu in hand and she totally ignored me and seated 2 more parties that came in after I did. I waited. She came back up to the register shaking her head and rolling her eyes giving me the impression that having to seat these people was an imposition even though it is her job. So I started to tell her I just wanted to place a to go order and she interrupted me with "wait a minute" so I stood there for a few more minutes until I decided that I was going to be more of an imposition than she could handle. So I put the menu on the counter and told her never mind, I would come back later. She responded with "if you could just wait a minute I'll take your order" I just said no don't worry about it and left. I truly believe that if you do not enjoy what you do for a living, you should find something else because you will never be successful in a position you hate doing and it was evident that she hates her job. It's a shame because like I said this Dennys has really good food, good wait staff but a horrible hostess.

Getting ahold of this restaurant through the phone is like pulling teeth. They are so busy they cant answer the phone. They are always short handed so the servers have to work twice as hard and the wait for customers is twice as long. This a problem I have noticed every single time I have went to this Dennys over the last few years.I think their very upper management should do a little more training for these people, a little more hands on work to figure out their problems, and a little more hiring instead of letting this restaurant drown in poor service and short handed staff while they know what is going on in this place. The managers and what they have as far as servers are always on the floor serving and do a phenomenal job as far as what they have to work with. It is sad really because they have so much potential here but not alot of support from what I can tell and they can't seem to keep people. The food has always been good and top notch even if I do have to wait an hour to get it. Whatever you do, never visit this restaurant on sunday mornings.

As a Quality Assurance specialist I'm surprised the manager cooked the food himself, and the chicken strips still got to the table and to my mother bright pink and frozen in the middle , you suppose to temp any chicken after you cook it, how would it have been able to be served still frozen and pink in the middle, I think this place need a health inspection soon, the service was good I feel sorry for our service Merrit because her boss was sending her out with food undercooked and over cooked, I will be making a complaint to cooperate, about the stand in manager.

The service was great, but the old lady who took our bill was quite rude. We were a party of 5. We asked for cash back so we could leave a tip on the table for our server, who had black hair, some tattoos and wristbands and was exceptional. It was a large tip, so we wanted her to know it was from us and that we appreciated her service. Well, the old lady who took our bill said she could give us cash back, then at the end of the order refused to and said “well, she will get the tip at the end of the day”. When we explained why we wanted cash back she said, and I quote “what difference does it make how she gets it? She’s getting it at the end of the day”. She was snarky and had an attitude the whole time, and if not for the waitresses amazing service this would have been a 1 star review.

I do appreciate the new owner in the manager of Denny's in for Denny's corporation coming in and being here for a couple years now they have improved in this newer manager has really helped helped the hospitality and have a hostess at the entrance would be a little bit more helpful when it's a slow time in that when the workers look up and see me or the waitress looks up and sees there's somebody waiting to be seated they need to work on that more improvement I would highly recommend Danny's to any people visiting ,but I highly strongly suggest that they improve more that when customers come in that they don't have to stand around as much to wait when it's slow I think that meets and break any kind of restaurant when they have to stay and wait to be seated and wait to be seated more than a couple of minutes that's where they could improve I would highly highly recommend this for any when coming into the Quad Cities and needing a place to eat very very good eating and very friendly family atmosphere to eat at I wish to remain anonymous on this suggestion

We usually receive excellent service and food here but the staff seemed distracted today. A lot of gossiping and chatter going on and slow service. Food was cold and not very tasty. The waitress provided additional beverages before our glasses were even half empty for a "just in case" but I think it was just so she didn't have to check back in on us and could talk to her group of friends that came in after us and her coworker. Really disappointing.

It must depend on who is working here and what shift it is for you to receive good service and food. The good reviews must either be fake or from people who won the good crew lottery because all of the bad reviews seem to be spot on. (My Visit: 7-14-19 @ 9pm.) Let me summarize all of them for you. 1. The crew socializes too much. 2. Servers are air heads that leave food in the window to get cold. (My Sizzling Skillet wasn't sizzling!) 3. Portions are small. (I was still very hungry after my not sizzling skillet.) 4. The cooks are slow as ____. (insert your own choice word.) 5. The place is not busy, they can't handle the few customers they have and the floor is dirty. Tables were cleaned with new settings but trash under tables remained. Next morning @ 7:45 ... Understaffed. 1 server, 1 cook, 1 busboy... No cashier. Pancakes and eggs overcooked. Server was nice and doing the best she could to help everyone and be a stand in cashier. Wow, but others were impatient and rude. Place needs new management.
