Perhaps the most comforting of coffee shops I’ve tried. Coffee is neither pretentious nor expensive. The space is small, but never crowded. There are books and games, local artwork hangs from the walls, and the place feels more or less like your living room. It’s a wonderful place to grab a coffee, whether to drink on the go or to sit awhile with some Thoreau, and just enjoy the day.

Best tasting cup of drip coffee in the Valley. There are so many coffee joints that are hipster and eclectic but their coffee will suck. This place actually makes good coffee. Good coffee= coffee that has a good taste that doesn't require a bunch of sugar and cream.

The place is very clean and well put together with the decor. Although it is very spacious there is not much seating inside or outside. I ordered a coffee and a muffin. I asked for room for cream but the server filled it tithe very top. First issue was that she ignored my request. The second was that the coffee was way too hot that I couldn't sip any to make room. The last issue was that I had to walk carefully to not spill any coffee in the floor or on myself or anybody else as I looked for a lid. The coffe and muffin were good but nothing special. Better option elsewhere but it was not bad.

This place is a little gem, it's a great place to study get work done, Wi-Fi is fast, the expresso pulls are parfait, and the folks at work they're down to earth. Get the cinnamon roll heated up :-)

I love going to king coffee. Whether it's for a quick coffee and go or to sit and hang out. The atmosphere allows for both. Mostly students and professors hang out here, but it's got a cozy small coffee shop feel.

I love this place. Found it on accident a few years ago and couldn't have asked for a better happy-accident. Cold brew here is strong and keeps you going!! Coffee is always good here and so is the atmosphere. Great place for study sessions, hangouts, and coffee dates. The staff here is amazing too.

Quaint little indie coffeeshop tucked away in Tempe. I ordered an Iced White Mocha and it was excellent, along with being a fair bit cheaper than Starbucks. The atmosphere was nice, too, great for writing or studying, and I loved that a local artist had some watercolors hung up. Cool touch. I will say though that the couches there are godawfully uncomfortable. I hovered over giving them a four star review for that, but the quality of the coffee pushed it to five.

A nice little coffee shop, but friendly staff. The signage out front could be a bit better as i found it really hard to spot it while driving. Also, parking is in the back of the building.

Easily one of my favorite spots in Tempe. The atmosphere is so laid back and cozy. I get so much done when I study or work here, especially if I can grab one of the little nooks in the back! My roommate and I are here all the time and pretty much always get an iced matcha, dirty chai, or hazelnut latte and they're all SO GOOD. If you're looking for a good place to grab some coffee, hang out, or get work done I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Wish I could give a 3.8, it's hard to get in here and the parking lot is small, shop is best suited to pedestrian customers, but the service was decent and have a good atmosphere

King Coffee and their owners are rad. Awesome spot in the heart of Tempe for students and locals to grab a well brewed cup of Joe. The plaza is a cool spot that offers a unique boutique next door as well as a bookstore and Pilates studio. Awesome place to grab a coffee and people watch! Have seen this commercial spot for a long time and have always wanted someone to open up a coffee shop there. If you go to ASU you have to check this place out in between classes.

It's a great spot to meet friends for coffee, grab a quick snack, and/or study in between classes. I've tried their iced Caramel Macchiato and it did not disappoint!

King Coffee has become my go to coffee shop in Tempe and for good reason. It is a close walk from ASU campus, the staff is always friendly, and everything I have had off of the menu has been excellent. They have a good variety of drinks and baked goods. For baked goods, I'd recommend the strudel. They also have plenty of non dairy options (coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk) which is a plus. They seem to use some of the best beans, as I have never had a cup of coffee there that has tasted burnt or too bitter. All of their teas are loose leaf and brewed to order. My favorite is the lavender Earl grey.

Drip Coffee is decent. Atmosphere is cozy and calm. Prefer King Coffee to nearby cartel coffee, because Cartel drip is acidic with poor flavor. King is milder but better balanced.

King Coffee provides an excellent environment for crackin' the books. Perfectly located next to ASU's Tempe campus, this is a great spot for Sun Devils. King offers two private study coves, where you can get some real work done. Latte was wonderful, music playlist was even better. Welcoming environment and great service.

Small shop, but easy to find. Parking in the back. Outdoor seating, small & cozy inside, relaxing and really good prices on coffee. I ordered an Iced Caramel Latte, the coffee was good and not too sweet but not very flavorful. Maybe it’s what I ordered, maybe it was too much ice and got diluted not sure but could’ve used just a dab more of flavor or stronger coffee.

King coffee is a reasonably priced small coffee shop just outside ASU. I think they are a bit cheaper than Cartel, their mocha, espresso, and other products are solid. I usually go for their cold brew which hits hard and is usually on point. Parking can be tricky, usually in the back there are spots though.

First time in to King Coffee. This place had a great vibe, seating nooks, and a good coffee menu with fresh pastries. Walking distance from ASU Tempe campus and worth the trip. The cheese danish was perfect - not too sweet. And the cappuccino was awesome. Would return!
