Over priced drinks etc. Hot chocolate..not hot. Wouldn't recomend this place. Its cute and cozy but over priced..more then what Starbucks charges..next time im going to Starbucks.

Christa Fletcher

Love this place. Everyone is kind. The atmosphere is one of the best to chill or work in. Its one of my fav places to sit and work from. I usually am a basic Americano with honey kind of girl but I tend to try new things here. Their Honey Latte is great if you are in the mood for some creamy goodness.

Alexander Torres

Excellent tasting pastries, tastes very home made. My chai was brewed on the spot from their own house mix. Solid coffee spot in the area.

Wes Chapman

My Granddaughter lives there with her friend from ASA

Ralph Muzio

Coffee and Quiche! Mmmm!

Mark Holgate

Meh. The coffee was average. Everyone raves about the honey vanilla latte. It was different, but the coffee roast was so boring that it didn't really do anything for me.

Nessa P

Try the iced honey vanilla latte... delicious! And the scones are a must!

Alex

For an area saturated with coffeeshops, Giant coffee stands out. With delicious beans and a laid back atmosphere you can't beat this spot.

Sarah Boggan

The smoothest coffee and espresso you’ll ever have. I love the vibe at Giant and it’s a great place to work or read while enjoying a first-class espresso drink or cup of coffee. Baked goods are always creative and well-done. Tea service and iced tea are always good as well.

John Estrada

Inside is very nice and has a unique design to it. We got a pumpkin muffin and a cookie both very nice and tasty. The coffee was a disappointment. It was too hot and tasted close to burnt and watery. The big problem is the location itself. It not easy to find nor get to. Parking is nearly non existent unless you want to risk parking at the CVS, which has several signs warning of tow away. Despite the good pasteries, coffee is in the title and if an establishment cant deliver on the coffee then why bother visiting them? There are far better options for coffee downtown than this place.

I came in just in time for Pastry Happy Hour. I enjoyed both the lemon-poppy seed scone and the sugar cinnamon muffin. The coffee was delicious and service great. I even relieved a free top-up. Too bad iLahey close early. The night owl in me would love to chill out here with a book and coffee late into the evening.

Rachael Mann

Perfect for offsite meetings- quiet atmosphere, free internet

Michael Gaman

Nice coffee shop / boutique in Phoenix. Tables are spaced nicely and there are some great spots to work from the laptop, specifically the high top tables are great for standing and they have convenient electrical outlets. The tea is pretty good; I haven't tried the coffee.

Mario Rodrigo Del Angel

Once you manage to park and come inside, you'll notice it's the type of place that wants to remain hidden. The interior design is simple yet organised. Having frequented multiple coffee shops around the city, I had high expectations of the beverages. It wasn't the case. Pictured here is honey vanilla latte. It tasted like the vanilla-flavoured milk one can purchase in grocery stores. No espresso or honey flavour. Their service was subpar, as well.

John S

Great cold brew and place to take and talk with my niece.

Mike Riccitelli

Really cool place with sweet folks and delicious pastries and drinks plus I had a lovely vegetable quiche

Best honey vanilla latte!!

Sebastian Mychel Cruze

A hidden gem. It took a little bit of maneuvering to find where to park, but I’m glad I found it. This is a good spot with a unique environment.

Fallon Leyba

Cool atmosphere! My Chai latte was okay—nothing to write home about—but the decor is wonderful, with huge floor to ceiling windows. Service was excellent.

Matthew Green

This place is great! Food was delivered fast and the service was friendly.

Matthew Klassen

A great place to hang out and read or work. Very good coffee. Close to the library.

Alexander Ellison

Visited this super cool place based on my daughter’s recommendation and we really liked. They serve various coffee blends and a great macchiato along with light eating items. The ambience is great and connected to it, is this funky clothing shop.

CHRIS & MIKE

The cappuccino here is filled with flavor and done to perfection. I also appreciate the low noise level here, it definitely makes it easy to do work in a social environment without having to bring out the noise cancelling headphones. Thanks for an Awesome experience Gaint Coffee!

Khurram Hassan

Great coffee spot with yummy freshly baked goods. The breakfast burrito is delicious and comes with a great salsa. Our 7 year old enjoyed the boiled eggs. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean and new. Comfy seating with places to plug in your phones and laptops. The strawberry preserves we're phenomenal.

Gigi Qtvv

Really good coffee!! Definitely recommend the iced honey latte!

Daniel Fieldstone

If you need a small coffee there is a place down the street called Small Coffee. The largest cup you can get there is only one milliliter. The smallest size you can get is .3 picoliter. They specialize in service coffee to microorganisms.

Hug A Wookie

Very nice looking shop, very clean and the staff were nice. I don't think there is enough seating though the was only maybe 10-12 people there and seating was full. Since this is a coffee shop people just seemed to linger so finding somewhere to seat in the shop was slow going.

Candace Twill

Dirty Chai Tea is delicious here. People are very nice and welcoming.

Taylor Frame

Killer coffee. Rad vibes. Come here. Don't be lame.

Tom Keilty

Independent well run coffee shop with clean modern design.

Maria Castro

The seating arrangements aren't great but it's a cute place

Thomas Calo

Adequate work space and a cool vibe. Employees are friendly, music isn't blaring, and coffee and snacks are good. Just had their carrot cake muffin, which was incredible.

dan bolin

Unique coffee and good small eats.

Theresa Rink

Delicious food, friendly service, rekaxed atmosphere. And the boutique next door is wonderful.

Maxwell Henderson

I'm an Avid coffee shop goer, and enjoy spending a couple of hours reading in a good one. This shop did not have the best coffee I've had, but the venue itself was my favorite in the area by far. Less crowded and more comfortable. Also a variety of seating and good tunes.

diane gomez

It was a cute atmosphere my husband's breakfast burrito took forever to warm and the sausage was still cold

Cha-Say Klein

Great food but pricy

Rachael Wright

While passing through Phoenix they didn't mind us camping out all day to catch up on online errands using their fast, free Wi-Fi. It appears this is a great place for a brainstorming business sesh alone or scheming with others. Strong coffee and delicious treats. No Splenda. Truvia and simple syrup.

Camille Baldwin

Came here because it was within walking distance of the art museum and I was really impressed! Great coffee and great atmosphere! Plenty of room for studying or just hanging out with a friend.

courts pryce

Cool place and coffee shop. Nice location and near Burton Barr library when it reopens. The barista was pleasant and helped explain what items were and provided recommendations. Ended up selecting the cold brew and it was good. Also tried the macchiato and added in vanilla. They use monin here!

jhonny resendiz

Very good coffee place.

Alkyrie Wellington

Fantastic coffee, cool seating at a great location.

William Creamer

Good place to go for a cup and chill or talk to people who are there.

Allison Holly

I'm not impressed with "giant" coffee. The cold brew only comes in 12 and 16oz sizes? That's not giant. It also tastes burnt and watery and I don't taste any of the vanilla I asked for. If you like a modern rustic aesthetic and bad, overpriced coffee then this place is for you. I gave 3 stars for the very classic (which is what I like) looking painting hanging in the shop. It was the only pleasing thing to look at.

Michael Bedore

Excellent latte excellent Suites excellent burrito love the Ambiance and customer service

Jacquelyn Seto

Very cute coffee spot. Service was good. Love the atmosphere, abundant study space, and simple enough menu. I will certainly be back. Thanks for a great first experience and morning latte!

AnnaMarie Nelson

Great atmosphere ❤

Lynne Dorsey

Nice drinks and service.

heather tugung

The coffee and lemonade here are good

Klaus-Tycho Foerster

Great coffee, great place to work for a bit.

Erik Orwoll

Extremely friendly place. And great coffee :)

ismael gonzalez

Great coffee.

Jorge Mejia

Very nice!

Peter Lepp-Forest

Great place, great coffee selection even in the august heat.

David Moody

The atmosphere is inviting. There are ample places to sit. The music they play is an eclectic collection of post-rock meets ambient indie. Refills are $0.50 but have quarters.

Austin Bingham

Quiche was cold. Workers take the only two parking spots in front and send put out when we asked for anything. Atmosphere was decent.

DeJean Brown

Well, now... my search for urban style coffee shops continues in the downtown region. Found a gem of a shop at this spot! The atmosphere was the perfect feel of young urban energy, without immaturity. Just earlier that week, I stopped by a newly opened coffee shop located on Roosevelt. The facilities were off the chain. However, when I approached the counter, I was greeted... wait, no... I actually wasn't greeted! In fact, I got the feeling that I wasn't welcome there. Needless to say, I chose to take my business elsewhere. So, finding giant vindicated my efforts to find the next cool shop for me to chill at. Anthony made the experience that much more enjoyable. He was familiar with the latest in music (you know, the kind that you don't hear played on the radio all day long) and the many styles of good coffee. This is a definite new spot for me to hang at while going over scripts, planning exercise routines for clients or just to get a taste of energy from urban life.

Danny Middleton

Great choices, good coffee and set-up, hard to get parking though.

Wendell BArcelona

I tried Giant for the first time about a week ago. For starters, parking is limited & I had to park across the at CVS parking lot. I imagine at some point CVS will get tired of people using their lot. The inside of the shop is pretty cool. I ordered my vanilla latte and a pastry treat. The coffee temperature was Luke warm but the pastry was great. As I sat across the person I came to meet there and tried to have a conversation. The music playing in the shop was a little too loud for conversation, I felt like I was trying to have a conversation at a club! The overall experience was disappointing, it would've been a cool place if only they would focus more on quality of their products they're putting out than the whole " hipster " scene their trying to be.

Mike Shipley

the hot young stud with the facial hair and the gorgeous tattoo art all over his upper body is my new barrister boyfriend!!

Mazie Maxwell

Its okay. It is always crowded with no where to sit. Their cofde is gross and really expensive.

Sam Leyvas

Stopped by around 1:30 pm on a Friday. Ordered a latte w/ oat milk and a slice of veggie quiche. The Good: the service was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. The barista had specific answers to my dumb question about oat vs almond milk. She was also proactive in letting me know that the slice of quiche would take 10 mins to heat in the toaster oven BEFORE I paid for it. I appreciated the heads-up. The latte was smooth and quite good. I expected run-of-the-mill quiche and got something more. Very flavorful with good depth - I really enjoyed it and would def try it again. The Mediocre: TEMPERATURE! Is it just me or are more and more coffee shops afraid to serve HOT espresso drinks? In short, my latte was only two degrees this side of hot. Will definitely make it a point to ask for a HOT drink next time. Also, despite 10 minutes in the toaster oven...the quiche was served with with an uneven mix of hot, cold, and lukewarm spots. It wasn’t the end of the world, but still kind of a bummer - particularly given how flavorful it was otherwise. Extras: fresh flowers and lots of natural lighting everywhere. Bottom line: would definitely recommend and will be back. If you like your drink hot...be sure to ask.

Toby Passmore

I love this place! It's a favorite for my wife and I!

Mike Bolitho

Really good coffee. Seating is just alright though. It's mostly farm style seating along two long tables. There's some high top counter space and then a few seats up front (that are very uncomfortable). This seems to be aimed at remote workers and doesn't really feel like a welcoming "cafe setting" which is why it went from 4 to 3 stars. If you're looking to work, great. If you want to meet up with a friend or two, find another place.

Rob Lopez

The most eclectic mix of music and ideas in one small cube in downtown phx. Big windows and cool drawings

J Herz

Great local coffee shop with a relaxed vibe.

Luis Alonzo

Don't order a mocha... You'll get a hot chocolate. Plus the staff doesn't have time for you. "you can read the label, they are attached," if you ask what something is. =-/

Ruben DeLaHuerta

my favorite coffee shop in Phoenix! Great atmosphere, great coffee and pastries and great staff as well. The only downside is the wifi isn't great and they close early (6pm.) But other than that, like I said, my favorite coffee shop in Phx.

Todd Barsalou

Great atmosphere, nice staff, and good food but their coffee is terrible.

Ashley Wheeler

This is a great place to sit and work for a few hours!

Charles Burch

The quiche is excellent!

Julie R. Neidlinger

Cool, trendy, if you're into that. Friendly staff, but it might take you a long time to get what you ordered. Not a ton of seating, and not much for parking. The food was good, though, and it's a uniquely designed space. For some reason, they were playing heavy metal music the morning we were there. Bizarre.

Gio Z

Excellent atmosphere. Yummy drinks and tasty snacks.

Rachel Archelaus

This is a great coffee shop for people wanting to chill out and get some work done. They offer a wonderful variety of coffees and snacks. There is a glass wall which lets in lots of natural light. The staff is always friendly and it's never overly crowded.

victor lopez

Good service...thx

Charlotte Klofkorn

This place was really excellent.

joseph reyes

You can read review until your blue in the face. Every one is critic, right. Today goal to indulge and try only the espresso and Giants Game is on point. Their Con Panna had just the right amount of whip cream. Is there cream as rich or de'lish as Lola's no. But doesn't have to be! Both Lola and Giant have some of the best espressos in the downtown area. I dig...

Jacqueline Phillips

Cool place!

Kristie Guess

Delicious coffee and great service...very nice

Rocky Hanish

Great place to work, wonderful staff and great tunes

Bill McComas

Very good coffee. Love their breakfast burrito.

Catherine King

I had a single shot of espresso and my husband had a coffee black while traveling in downtown Phoenix. Quality and taste are excellent. We make our own espresso, lattes etc. at home and are picky with taste. Giant Coffee is delicious.

David Guerrero

Smart tasting lattes and dark chocolate mochas (I'd guess 70% or higher). The pastries are great too. Awesome low sugar options.

Kenia Pineda

Love their coffee drive out of the way to grab a honey latte

KJ Hatch

Great coffee and baked goods. Friendly and helpful service.

David Madar

This place has gone down hill. Coffee is subpar relative to other local options for craft coffee. Over priced, too trendy for my taste.

Melissa Gordon

Drink tried: honey vanilla latte. Giant Coffee is the best! Perfect for studying, great atmosphere, amazing coffee. Trendy decor, and very inviting. Perfect downtown location, and right next to the PHX art museum.

Master Aurther Noble

Great coffee and store full of goodies clothing etc.

elizabeth Allen

Spacious but the modern furnature does not hold even a cup of coffee well. Trendy but impractical.

John Haro

Must try the honey vanilla latte with oat milk

James Helman

Wonderful coffee spot downtown.

Cary McKinney

Nice atmosphere! Somewhat of a new age hipster feel. Coffee is ok but the pastries and baked goods are amazing!

Chris Hays

Good coffee, great breakfast burrito, good quiet environment to work on computer.

THE_5_GOD Kendrick

I simply love it.

Terry Peterson

Good coffee, nice atmosphere and good wifi.

Sami Beaudin

Good coffee, good pastries. The music was too loud to focus on anything though. Needed to be turned down a few notches.

dave crothall

Friendly folks. Espresso could be better. Not the cleanest coffee shop.

india muhammad

Very very rude service... my child was cussed out by an employee for something she didn’t do and the employee didn’t get in trouble so I would not recommend this place at all

Jose Areta

Specialty coffee? Sure? BAD tasting coffee. Beans seem to be not bad, but the taste of our capuccinos was watery and with some serious off flavours. Not what we payed for. Barista needs to keep learn to dial the grinder and clean equipment PROPERLY on a daily basis. Minor but latte art was shameful. Needs to learn to pour milk too.

Jose Nava

Eclectic coffee shop. Good coffee and tasty pastries. Kinda of hidden so you have to look really good.

Bob Thomas

I was going to try it out. They have an express line for 2.00 coffee. I stood there for 5 mins never being acknowledged. 3 workers not waiting on customers. Dont go here. Stay with starbucks. This plsce seems snootie and slow. Stay away

Renn Arterius

The customers are a little stuck up, but the employees are awesome AND THEY HAVE VEGAN STUFF!!! It's so hard to find vegan treats these days! Also the tea is so good I didn't have to put any honey or sugar in it! Tasted fresh & Organic!

Karen Shepherd

Giant Coffee has always provided excellent coffee and breakfast burritos for me! I've never had a bad experience.

Neelkanth Bardhan

Tried the Honey Vanilla latte based on other reviewers' recommendations. Pretty underwhelming in my opinion.

Erik Wright

I have heard the coffee here is really good. Not being a coffee drinker, there are few options. The baked goods are good and the ambiance is nice. Have to say their chai tea is awful, with a very strong coffee taste to it.

Michael Beausoleil

Great rosettess and baristas wearing leather aprons! All I want in a coffee shop.

Hypnotic Network

Excellant

Brooke Clark

Always a solid choice. Tasty coffee, urban vibe

Sean Crown

The atmosphere, the drink menu, the service, the food, the vibe... what an absolutely perfect establishment. Bravo to their staffs..

Matthew L

Absolutely love this coffee shop. The clarity of the pour over is up there with some of my favourite coffee shops across the states. There's not a lot of seating, so, if it is busy, don't expect a lot of study room. However, the staff is incredibly fast, efficient, kind, and quality.

Virginia Miller

While I can't complain about the quality of the food and caliber of the coffee, I did have an odd/quirky customer service experience. At first, the barista seemed to be somewhat funny and charming. However, when I went to order, he had his elbows on the counter with his hands covering his face looking at me through his fingers. I didn't acknowledge this when I ordered bc I simply wanted my coffee and blueberry muffin, and it was too early for me to form a question. After a bit of waiting, I had a picturesque latte (complete with froth flourishes) ready to go. Overall, I might go again if there were changes made to the order experience.

Luke Parker

Is the difficult review to write because this place is pretty uneven. When the doors of the coffee shop or open in fall and spring it is a wonderful place to sit; this is hands-down the reason to come to this coffee shop. When the doors are closed you become aware that the seating is really weird, and if you have a laptop it is difficult to find a spot to plug it in. The coffee is not that great, but the milk is incredible.

Jason Betts

Great coffee... the staff was very sweet.

Kimberlee Swisher

Natural light, friendly local business, delicious coffee, and really amazing muffins. Great place to meet or work.

Kelsey Fortenberry

Giant was at one point my go to shop for coffee. They served great coffee and food and the atmosphere was perfect for spending time reading and doing homework. Giant WAS the place for any specialty coffee enthusiast. While it is understandable why they had to change roasters, there are other aspects of the shop that are changing that take away from the details that at one time set Giant apart from other shops. Today I spent $6 on a honey vanilla latte that tasted like flavored milk. It seems like focus has been shifted away from the natural flavors of the coffee itself. The quality that went into their handcrafted beverages has drastically declined and they don’t even have lids that fit their cold cups properly. I may have been willing to look past one poorly crafted beverage and give the shop a second chance had my iced latte not leaked into my cup holder and onto my clothes because the lid didn’t fit the cup well enough. The shop was once staffed by enthusiastic baristas that we’re knowledgeable about coffee and truly cared about the quality of the drinks they made. Sadly, that is no longer the case. One of the gals behind the counter spoke very openly about not wanting to be there and was obviously not concerned about customer service. Giants attention to detail was what made the shop my top choice over others for over three years. Sadly, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Spilled Rootbeer

Pretty great, the coffee was nice!

Robert Billings

The location is really cool. Coffee isn't the best but it will get you moving. Food options are pretty good if you need more.

Philip Pease

Good place to rest and friendly

Nicole !

Giant Coffee has a really nice hipster atmosphere and is perfectly located near the the library. It's everything you'd hope for in a local coffee shop, modern look, and the vegan pastries. I wasn't able to give them 5 start though, because the service could have been faster, my friend had waited quite a while for some toast as did I for my pastries.

L

Honey vanilla latte is the only flavored coffee drink I've ever fallen in love with, with that being said I firmly believe that most folks looking for mochas should go ahead and go to Starbucks and leave the staff at Giant free to make excellent americanos for me. :) The staff here is excellent and they pull consistently good shots.

Shawnee Blacklove

Great staff and wonderful atmosphere

Andrew Michael

Ok The food is reasonably priced, and they have an ok atmosphere, but they had kicked someone out because there was some one else that want to sit in their spot.

郭藍山

It's joyful to enjoy coffee here. I surfed internet here several times. Generally you don't have to make appointment.

Michael Finkelstein

They serve Four Barrel coffee which is one of the top 5 roasters in thr country in my opinion. I really like the prosciutto & eggs as well. Probably the best, classy, relatively non pretentious coffee shop in downtown Phoenix. I prefer it over Lux due to the quality of coffee and reduced number of horrible people.

Kalyn Dowdle

Focused, positive, bright atmosphere. Next to the cutest boutique ever.

Rachel Huddlestone

Good cold brew iced coffee and tasty veggie quiche!

Eric Elliott

Owned by Matt of Matts Big Breakfast fame.....same killer quality and service

Michael Whildon

Mellow atmosphere and excellent cookies

Marvic Navida

Great place to do some work or studying. Nice relaxing music to go with the coffee of your choice.

Cliff Matthews

This place is great! Coffee is solid, it's a nice place to work, and when the weather is nice, they open up the front of the shop and it's open air! Perfect!

Alvaro Vazquez

Great coffee shop but I drink their tea... and they also have local beers and wine!!

Franklin Alvarez

Great spot for a quick drink on the go

Andrew Burchill

Hip, trendy, good sweets and coffee. A BIT pricey though. Not in the greatest part of town either.

Jayson Matthews

Giant Coffee is one of Downtown/Central Phoenix’s best cafes. The owner of Matt’s Big Breakfast, focused on coffee, the food, and the space. All three make this place an excellent place to work, hang with friends, or grab a quick cup before work. I especially enjoy their space on Fall and Spring days as they open up the front and create an indoor/outdoor space. Plus, if you have time to eat there, their breakfast burritos are excellent.

Gay Evangelista

Only had a drink. Refills cost $.59. not enough seats.
