Really good shrimp. Tacos look amazing but I wasn't a fan of the fish. What makes this place shine is the really good friendly employees. If the owner reads this he needs to give his employees kudos for making the place friendly and inviting and service oriented.

Amazing fish tacos! They are messy but they taste incredible! Everything in their menu is delicious and you won’t go wrong with anything that you order! We originally went to the original Coconut’s Fish Cafe in Maui and it was so good we ate their almost every day! This one isn’t quite as good but is pretty close for not being on the ocean where you can get super fresh fish!

I live in Chattanooga, TN and was looking for good food whilst traveling here on business. The photo of the Pokē bowl really caught my attention and it didn't disappoint in the least. I actually had to lookup how to eat it because it's a little overwhelming at first. The way I came to think of it was as if it were an exotic Cobb salad with many items over a bed of rice. The service here was excellent with the staff cheerful and engaging.

Known for it's fantastic fish tacos. Food is brought to your table after you order. Great selection of seafood. A sit-down fast food restaurant with gourmet food. If you come for lunch, come early! It's worth the wait. A fun place with both young and old crowd attending. A must-try if you've never had a fish taco.

This is a nice little restaurant that specializes in seafood.you have to go up to the counter to place your order and they give you a number to place on your table. The food came out quick and warm.probably the best fish tacos I've had in a very long time. My wife had the shrimp tacos and they were also very good. The prices were reasonable.

The fish tacos are delicious. You get two corn tortillas per taco and they are loaded with fish and fresh mango salsa. They sauce is spicy and plentiful - the first tortilla soaks it up and the outer tortilla keeps your hands from getting all messy. I got the cole slaw on the side this time because it was too big to eat without it falling apart last time. I also had a side order of fries which is enough for 2 people. I took 1 taco and half the fries home because I was stuffed. Great food and lots of it.

I've also reviewed the original Coconuts in Maui and this location is equally as good! We are repeat customers and have tried it all. Favorites include the Coconut Shrimp appetizer, Ahi Poke appetizer (personally could eat this everywhere), Mahi-Mahi Local Style, and the fish tacos any which way! It's a fast-casual that serves alcohol and has a great selection of craft beers.

Great, healthy fare for a reasonable price. While not as inexpensive as "normal" fast food it is really a step up in quality compared to the traditional burger and fries. I have not had a bad meal there in all the times that I have eater there. The employees are also very nice and accommodating which helps the experience.

We stopped by this restuarant on our way to sedona and I must say we made a good choice for lunch. This is a casual restaurant with a very simple mission. Provide food for hungry customers. We had fish tacos and pan fried mahi. You order at the back counter. The wine selection was good. The food arrived at our table quickly. It was fresh and tasted great. If you like good fresh food and just want to grab a bite then for sure give this place a tryrestaurant a try

Its gluten free which is necessary for me, and 1 taco is filling so 2 was an incredible meal and then some! Fresh ingredients, full of flavor! Yum!

A delightful place for simple fish dishes Hawaiian style. Mahi Mahi, Ono and Ahi always available. Also, shrimp and salads all fresh. My date and I had mahi mahi fish and chips. Can have on small tortillas, as appetizers or as a meal with fresh cole slaw.

Top Maui restaurant? I never heard of this place before I moved here. Plus when you are from Hawaii you don't put Maui, HI as your location.. You from Lahaina, Makawao, Wailuku? Unknown dat kine no good brah. The food was eh, their poke isn't authentic even though they claim to be from Da Islands. Only get one guy working there from Maui and braddah man apparently grew up on Da Mainland and not on the islands. Locals from back home just go to L&L

The atmosphere was not even close of Hawaii. No aloha, mahalo and at one point had to look closely at the gals cap to see if she was even an employee. Since we were traveling with a 6 and 7 year old we took the recommendation of our resorts concierge. Ultimately, we left disappointed and will never return. The resort will also be informed of their poor referral. My 6 year recieved a toddler portion of mac and cheese, leaving her still hungry!! My husband's cole slaw looked to be family size and was very thick and heavy. Then his calamari arrived... over fried (looking around everyone's plate looked overdone). His basket also had MORE cole slaw. Ick.. My plate of seafood pasta was tasty, but very rich and thick. Included was a huge bread smothered in cheese. My 7 year old was delighted with his hot dog on a sesame seeded bun. Since my heart has not stopped, I just thought I would share my experience while I have time. Service, ok. Bussing, understaffed. Utensils, needed restock. Atmosphere, fast food joint. Food.. so so.

Usually I write lengthy reviews. Tonight I shall try to be succinct. I visited this place today when I had very little time. But, the temptation of Fish Tacos was more than I could bear. I ordred for Take Out and asked if I could sit down. 'Certainly' was the answer and I sat at a table while I waited - I didn't have to clutter the counter area up by standing around, as if I were, well, cluttering up the place. My order arrived in very good time considering the fact the place was lunchtime busy. Oh, bliss. These are Fish Tacos to be savoured, not scoffed down quickly before racing to one's 1pm appointment. Supposedly on a strict diet, I didn't eat all the tacos. Even so, I had plenty and more than enough to spare. Little bits of mango and yummy coconuty scrumptiousness and generous pieces of fish. For a moment in time, I was in heaven. I am so impressed that even when rushed off their feet, the service is friendly and the food - well the Fish Tacos anyway, delicious. I'm going back for Fish and Chips next week. Oh dear, I went on and on again, didn't I...

Went there for with a large group of friends for lunch. The place was crowded, but the staff was so friendly. They helped us with seating, joining the smaller tables to make a long one. The food was amazing, large portion sizes and piping hot. Between us we ordered fish tacos, coconut shrimp, fish burger and fish and fries. Everything came out really fresh and the food portion was huge. I would definitely be going there again.

The FLW location of Coconuts is the best!!! Always delish. Daughter loved the tacos. Son enjoyed cajon mahi, but a little dry. My husband and I frequently get the macadamia crusted mahi and it NEVER disappoints.

Like another reviewer, we made a point of trying this place because of the reviews we read. I had the fish tacos, and what I got was NOT a taco but a pile of soggy vegetables with a few very small pieces of dry fish, and tacos that were stale and hard except where the vegetables piled on top of them had made them gooey. You’re supposed to be able to pick up a taco and eat it with your hands (“A taco is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling”)….NOT these things, whatever they are! I ate about half of one taco (they serve two per order) and I simply quit….not good at all and way too hot! My wife had the fish and chips and ate a couple of bites of the fish and couldn’t eat any more – the breading had a funky taste. Moreover the place has no ambience at all – very small and noisy, and our table was sticky – had to clean it myself! Well, at least my curiosity is satisfied, though I have no idea what the folks who give this place 5 stars are comparing it to.

You can't beat the fish tacos. They have lots if other options, all look delicious. The decor is tropical Hawaiian and the big screens around the dining area are filled with surfing and ocean images. If you want a beer they have a good selection to go with your meal. Coconut's is our go to place for fish tacos.

Very sad to find out upon requesting fresh tarro chips for their poki. They told me they only make them once a day in the morning because they have no room for them. You’re telling me I’m paying $15 for 8 hour old tarro chips. Disgusting. Why can’t you fry fresh chips like everywhere else for that price.
