The restaurant was very clean, we were greeted as we walked in and was told to sit anywhere we would like. There were 4 tables at this time to choose from, Heidi our waitress was very attentive to our needs. When we ordered, the food was there in about 12 minuets or so. Large portions very, very tasty. Full of flavor. Just like home made and after being asked if there was anything else we needed the bill came. For the amount of food we received the price in my opinion was very good. We will definitely eat there again.

I wish I could give this place at least 4 stars, for their kindness in allowing me to come in 5 minutes before closing to eat. But their fare for those who don't eat beef and pork, is limited at best. I tried to avoid it, but didn't want just a chicken sandwich. Their prices were way too high. My sandwich and a sideccost almost $11. Add a drink to that, and you're looking at $14 per person for fried food. Service was lacking, no one came to check on us, other than to drop off the check and collect payment. Overall, the food was bland. I unfortunately won't be back.

This place is a cozy little diner with very hospitable staff and great home-cooked type food. I didn't get pictures of the menu but to give you an Idea on the price's they have, my wife and I spent $32.13 on a full Ham steak, sausage & Swiss cheese omelette with two eggs, two sides of hashbrowns, toast, biscuits & gravy, two chocolate milks and a lemonade. We used no coupons and none of food was on a special.

98% of the food is homemade! As soon as I took a bite of the biscuit and gravy I had flashbacks to my childhood and my mom’s homemade gravy in her cast iron skillet. So so good! And I got French toast. I asked for it crispy...so happy! Usually I get it at places and it’s still all soft like bread. No no no. I like things CRISPY! My mom got the omelette...had like bacon and onions and cheddar cheese in it, she said it was the best omelette she’s ever had! She said she hates when u get an omelette and all u taste is the “egg” taste...she said here all u taste is the bacon, onions and cheese, that it was PERFECT! Tomorrow we are on our way outta town back to Bakersfield and we are gonna eat here again for breakfast, ha! Highly recommend it, quickly made great homemade food, and service with a smile :)

If you've never been to this fine establishment, it is a must. I strongly doubt that there is any better mom and pop restaurant in the United States, and I have traveled from South Carolina to California and all in between. From the cheap prices, extraordinary service, extremely short wait times, to the exemplary quality of food, this restaurant is a true jem in a desolate wasteland of poor service and cheap quality. It is a must, if you have never been.

I have been eating here literally along as I can remember and, while the biscuits and gravy will never live up to the ones my four-year kid self fell in love with 36 years ago, the breakfast special with one biscuit w/ gravy, two eggs, and hashbrowns for ~$6 is still my go-to breakfast every time I come. They have all your standard breakfast and lunch items: chicken fried steak and eggs, club sandwiches, etc., but I reccomend anything with the homemade chili (be it chili-cheese omelet, or chili-size (open-faced chili-cheese burger) with fries)! Suzie hasn't owned the Bonanza for a long while, but the traditions of friendly service and good down-home food she started--much like the Suzie Special--have stuck around!

Small hometown restaurant. Friendly staff. For it being the lunch hour they weren’t that busy. Our choice for lunch was chicken fried steak and eggs with side of biscuits and gravy. Steak was over cooked and over salted. Biscuits and gravy had no flavor whatsoever. Hash browns were browned on the top but the middle was uncooked. Maybe the cook was having a bad day. We are new residents and are looking for a good place to eat

Great service here, we got our food quickly. Some of the food seemed to lack seasoning, like the gravy, it wasn't awful but it sort of tasted like nothing. My Colorado omelet was good but confusing because the stuff inside the omelet was bringing hot and the outside of the omelet was lukewarm so when the inside was cool enough to eat the outside was pretty cold but it had good flavor. The didn't have flavored coffee so we didnt try any coffee. They brought our son crayons and a coloring book. Chicken fried steak was a thin one, reviews seemed to rave about it but we thought it was just alright. The table next to ours was pouring salt and pepper on their food so I guess we were not the only ones thinking it lacked flavor.

This is our regular Sunday brunch place. The food is regular breakfast/lunch fare, expertly prepared and simply served...which is exactly what these meals are all about. Be sure to try their deep fried hash browns: one of Bonanza's signature sides!

Small, but comfortable restaurant. We were there for breakfast, but could get anything off the menu, so I had chicken breast. It was a bit chewy, but tasted ok. The other two people I was with had no complaints about their food. Service was very good. I did not use the restroom, so can't comment on the cleanliness of that, but the dining area was fine. We had to walk though an area with tables to leave and there were little kids hunkering under, and running around the tables, which I found to be irritating. The place was crowded, which made it very hard to avoid having them smack into you.. Other than that, it was good. Prices were average for the area.
