Great Sunday morning breakfast stop.

Great Chicago-style restaurant. My wife had a patty melt which was perfectly prepared. Very tasty and a nice sized burger. I had the "Chicagoan", which is an Italian beef sandwich. It came dipped and with giardiniera peppers, just the way I like it. The sandwich filled the whole plate and was delicious! However, the au jus was really, really salty. Both sandwiches came with delicious waffle fries. The service was good and everyone was really friendly. The inside - and outside - was very clean, which I personally appreciate. I would definitely come back!

Great atmosphere, service, and food! Plenty of seating outdoors (dog friendly), attentive staff/owners (pretty sure they're the owners anyhow) with prompt service. Breakfast was perfect (Mountaineer and Carnivore) with favorite part being the coffee and cinnamon roll. I wasn't a huge fan of the gravy (with biscuit, though biscuit was good) but it could be a regional thing as I'm from Texas (?) so maybe it's that. It wasn't bad it just wasn't as white and peppery as I'm used to. Will definitely make this our regular place!

17.00 for coffee,2 eggs and bacon a little steep. They were out of hash browns and from the time she took my order until food arrived was nearly 2 hrs. Staff was super nice and kept apologizing for the wait.

New owners at this establishment. Changes? Absolutely not. Incredible service, friendly waitress with personality, food was hot and tasty! First class. New owners are just as spot on as previous. Highly recommended! Best breakfast joint in the area!

It was out first time there this morning and the patio is dog friendly. Very unique, quiet as far as toad noise, clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. Biscuits and muffins are generous and delicious. The owner did stop by to introduce himself and we had a wonderful conversation and am looking forward to comeing back to try more recipies. I also was introduced to their cook that has been there for 22 years and just fell in love with him as far as great energy. They also said they are experimenting with vegan entree's and will be adding more to their menu. Really looking forward to that. Great vibe all around.

I've had biscuits and gravy since a child, i'm 68 now. Went here because they advertise "Best B&G in carefree". They are not the best in carefree or anywhere else in the USA. Took two bites, the second bite, just to make sure. They took b&g to a different level, not anywhere near mine. Wife had pancakes, just ok, but they have great coffee!

I have only ate here once, but I can promise you it will not be the last. The coffee was great and I loved the Mason water jar. A very nice touch and something unique to the coffee shop. I had the Gonzo Borrito with a side of pancakes and home fries. I was stuffed to say the least. Besides the great food I was most impressed with the service. My waitress made me feel like she was only serving me. Honestly was amazed by how well she knew exactly what I wanted or needed right before I was even going to ask for it! Sammy you are awesome!!

Sadly this beautifull charming quaint cozy Cave Creek cafe location is the perfect place to enjoy an overpriced boring and bland dish menu served quickly by nice and friendly people. It's a real shame to discover delicious food is not awaiting your arrival. Higher standards and better taste can be experienced at a local Denny's Resturant.

Hmmm. The place is nice. But when making a strawberry ice cream shake. With rainbow jimmies. Finishing the shake. Was a massive surprise. 3 balls at the bottom. Hmm unknown Turned out to be choc malt balls. Question: what if I was allergic to chocolate or any type of the malt. Then this would end differently. The new owners made improvements on the space. Inside space was much bigger and brighter. Coffee was very good as was the food. Service was ok but plates were brought out individually. I chaulk it up to server's inexperience but she was friendly and attentive. She will be very good at some point. We will be back.

This was a nice place to eat. Food portions were large and tasty. Live music plays here on the weekends. There is Bar or dining seating serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have tv's to watch sports.

Yummy! This is the only place I've found that still has the sausage patties that were once in every cafe and coffee shop in the West. It has a neighborly, welcoming feel you don't often get at a restaurant anymore. This was our first visit, but definitely not the last!

We have been taking the almost hour drive to this restaurant for breakfast every year for as long as I can remember when we come out to visit family each spring. The food is always Excellent, with good portions and reasonable pricing. You can bring your dog if you would like if you are dining on the outside patio, and there are some heaters in case there is a chill in the air.

A nice local cafe where a good mix of lunch and breakfast, Americana and Southwest can be had. The shop is family owned and run. They are known for their large cinnamon rolls but also feature other favorites featuring ingredients like green chili and grub steak. For the more health conscious, the salads are abundant and customizable. There is a large outdoor seating area to take advantage of the gorgeous Carefree mornings with breakfast and a bottomless cup of coffee. The Carefree town center is adjacent to the restaurant with abundant shops, kids play areas. The staff is gracious and welcoming, I have made this a frequent stop.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but we went on a really busy weekend... Our waitress said food should take about 25 minutes because they were really busy, totally understandable... Well an hour and 15 minutes later our food came out. My husband was ready to go and just as we were about to walk out our food came, finally. I ordered the busict and gravy. So good, they do a house made gravy with bacon chunks, but it was a $3 up charge to add 2 eggs and a $4 up charge for a side of hashbrowns ... Every breakfast place I go to has all that included.... My husband order the mountaineer, 2 eggs, ham, hashbrowns, connimon roll and a biscuit with gravy comes with it all... Got a side of bacon to go with it for $4.50... So $50 later for breakfast with a lemonade coffee and milk an hour and 15 minutes later.... I think we will try it again when there isn't a festival going on. The owners son (I think) came in to bus and help with dishes and he did an amazing job, I would of rather had him as my server, maybe I wouldn't have to wait for silverware after my food was dropped and wouldn't have to find some myself....

do not eat here—- it was not good——the eggs benedict was cold and english muffin wasn’t toasted. my friends breakfast had under cooked eggs and was sent back and they forgot to redo it. the cinnamon roll was heated in the microwave and then sat in the window—so it was hard as a rock. I was never asked for a refill on my coffee—-it was a total waste we left disappointed and hungry
