Best coffee I’ve tried in my travels! I own a coffee shop in Colorado and make a point to try any local coffee shop I can find, bigger bonus if they roast their own coffee. Bergies came highly recommended by some locals, so we sought it out. The shop was very unique, with an awesome patio. Loved the merchandise and how they are mission oriented in everything they sell. The drinks we got were great-espresso was smokey and unique and tasty. I bought a bag of the Ethiopia whole bean to try and home and WOW! I cannot get enough of it. What a great roast! I love my own Ethiopian coffee that we roast, but Bergies has me beat with this brew! I’m sad I’m already half way through the bag. I will definitely be back. Great job Bergies!

Bergies is a local shop in downtown Gilbert. Even though the building is old it is well kept. They have a beautiful yard where one can sit and drink their coffee which Bergies roasts on site. The coffee is bought by Bergies and roasted on site. The beans and roasts constantly change which is to the delight of coffee drinkers in the area. Great, local shop with great, freshly roasted beans, for a wonderfully brewed cup of coffee.

We went here on Saturday and were double charged for our order. Here's a list of what we did to try and have it reversed, - called the store and left a message - stopped into the store and talked to the cashier - left another message for the owner - waited all of Sunday for a follow up, didn’t get it - called them before close, left another message for the owner; was told to expect a call shortly - waited for the owner to call, now they’re closed ... and here we are now. They're basically dodging us at this point. It’s almost comical. Edit: Despite the response from the owner, everything I wrote is true. Sorry to be so blunt about our experience, but I feel equally insulted being asked to exercise a little patience when I gave your business multiple opportunities to correct things. As an adult with a banking account, I understand what a pending transaction entails. I called my bank after you failed to get back to me in the time I was quoted by multiple employees -- they confirmed my card WAS charged and together we opened up a charge back case. While I can appreciate you made an effort to reach out eventually, by the time you did, I already resolved things the tedious way. I stand behind my original review.

Staff is super nice. I am not a coffee drinker but I meet business associates there. They do have some non coffee drink options that are pretty good. Great atmosphere. Love to sit in their courtyard in the winter when the weather is so gorgeous and just relax and enjoy the environment.

My wife and I visited this place yesterday and we were thoroughly impressed. The nitro cold brew was incredibly flavorful and my wife loved the watermelon tajin lemonade which was also great. The staff here is great. I order the peppermint mocha frape with the coconut milk, and it is delicious. The atmosphere here is vibrant. I also had one of the chocolate muffins, which need improvement in the richness of the chocolate and the muffin was a little dry. The coffee is bomb though.

My favorite coffee shop in the Phoenix metro area. Super chill vibes and very friendly staff. We bring our pups and sit on the patio in the early weekend mornings. It’s very nice as they often have live music. I have an iced mocha every time and it’s freaking great. My girlfriend loves her hazelnut lattes. Dogs love the shade and the outdoor cooling contraption’s. We drive 20 mins to get to Bergies and I would drive another 20 for this place. Indoor seating is very limited but you want to chill outside with some tunes, trust me.

When purchasing, the barista told me the coffee would be right out. I took that to mean that if I went out to the garden, they would bring it out. They let it sit on the counter for 15 min and the coffee was just average. The barista was in and out of the garden. It would have been easy to bring it or let me know it was ready. Why collect a tip at the register? I would not return. The garden is nice but the service is not worth it.

The atmosphere and location is amazing. There's a small amount of seating inside but majority is outside and in the shade. I enjoy coffee but I'm can't speak to the quality of the coffee since a lot of it tastes similar to me. But to go there for a meeting or to hang out with friends I highly recommend it.

The roasters here know how to roast beans without over roasting them! If you have a fully automatic espresso machine with quality interior grinders, the oil of over roasted coffee beans will clog those grinders, necessitating service. I always get our coffee beans here!

My first time going here was pretty good. The house is from the early 1900 which is now used as the coffee house. Its fairly small inside, great coffee, nice apparel and miscellaneous coffee selection, has a courtyard to sit outside. Just be careful for the birds that poop on ya if you sat under a tree.

Bergie's has a great whimsical outdoor seating area that often has live music. The place feels laid back, relaxed and pleasant. I am not a huge fan of their coffee unfortunately. Their signature drinks taste too syrupy for me, their espresso didn't seem impressive for the price, and the one time I got regular coffee there, it tasted a bit burned. I get the feeling you're paying mainly for the vibe, but if you want a serious cup of coffee, this might not be your best option. If you're a fan of sugary beverages and like outdoor seating space, then this is more up your alley.

Costa Rica beans the best and great place to buy fresh roasted coffee beans. It's a cozy, local, funky (in an old converted house?) in the heart of Gilbert old town restaurant row. Great meeting place, lots of outdoor seating, if all the restaurants nearby have a wait on the weekends, Bergies is the place to go, have a coffee, and wait! it can get crowded, especially weekends.

I was looking for a local coffee place on my trip out to AZ. I was staying on the Mesa/Gilbert line and this was only a couple miles away. I am very glad I went to this place first! In previous trips I had gone to some chains in the area that do a lot of flavors and special mixes. I am into just a black coffee. Bergies is perfect. I have been consistently getting a cold brew and a hot drip coffee. Both are exactly as they should be. I drink both black without any sweetener. Neither were bitter our sour and both were pleasant to drink. It was so good that I bought beans (Costa Rica) to bring home and brew with. They also have an online store so I can order it from across the country. My girlfriend and her mother are both big tea fans, and they have been enjoying both their iced and hot teas. I know their hot coffee bean changes day to day (I have had the Guatemala, Honduras, and Costa Rica), but I am unsure what bean(s?) they use for their cold brew. The staff were supper helpful and nice (definitely tip worthy). Whenever I am back in town I will explicitly seek this place out.

Friendly and efficient barristas serve up some.of the best coffee drinks. You'll be hypnotized by the coffee aroma as soon as you walk into the quaint and historic tiny little building. I ordered a spicy Mexican mocha. It was superb! Just the right amount of spice and chocolate with milk and espresso. Whichever espresso beans they used certainly made this drink one of the smoothest, tastiest mocha I've had in a long time. I'd you're familiar with Abuelita you'll know the type of flavor I'm talking about. Bergie's version was 10xs better. Typical baked God's are available although I didn't try any. There's plenty of outdoor seating with a pleasant, country outdoor feeling. I highly recommend Bergie's.

Absolutely love the entire experience of going to this cute little coffee shop. They actually roast their own beans right there on property and have a very nice variety of the different kinds coffee to choose from daily. On most days, weather permitting, sitting outside to sip your drink is the best place to relax. They have bird feeders that attract many birds for added entertainment. Plenty of tables around mixed in w/ beautiful potted plants/herbs. The staff is always so personable too. Certain days, mostly on the weekend, they will have a local music group outside playing for a few hours. Highly suggest if in the area of downtown Gilbert, stop in and get some delicious coffee.

Bergies Coffee House in Downtown Gilbert is a really great place to grab a cup of coffee, a snack, and just chill out. The weekend mornings are especially nice! There is usually Iive entertainment, and the people watching is good fun. It's definitely a hidden gem. You should check it out for that old school Gilbert vibe!

Decent coffee with a cool atmosphere. It was hotter inside than out though. I can't imagine how awful it would be to work in those conditions. That is likely why the lady taking our order was not the most friendly. The coffee itself was good but I like heavy cream in my coffee rather than half and half and they don't carry it. They also only have 3 sugar free flavors so they aren't very keto/low carb or diabetic friendly. I mostly enjoyed the large dog friendly seating area complete with live music and an eclectic style.

Had to come check this place out after dining at Chandler downtown Cafe. Had a breakfast there at Chandler downtown Cafe and ask the ladies where they brew their coffee from which is Bergie's coffee in downtown Gilbert. Stopped by and checked it out was super impressed. the roasted coffee here is so freaking good and amazing! Definitely coming back to buy more coffee for home!

Great little coffee shop. I even buy coffee for my own coffee maker from them. Farmhouse blender it pretty amazing. Staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is really neat. I would totally suggest this place to anyone who enjoys coffee.

I really liked the atmosphere there. Their garden is beautiful and floral, which immediately calms you down. They had lots of seats available, so finding a cozy spot to enjoy my tea was no trouble. The only complaint I had was that they had no fruits or vegetables to order off the menu. Besides that, this place is great.
