REVIEWS OF Black Cup IN Alaska

Samuel Epp

With a unique house blend and a chummy West Coast feel. Black Cup is the only prime late night coffee stop in Anchorage.

Larry Hale

Only recently discovered this coffee shop. They have the best coffee in Anchorage! Also, have wifi and lots of tables.

Daniel Lam

Delicious coffee. Great music. Great decor. Great atmosphere. Chai was a bit underwhelming. You have to volunteer "for here" otherwise you get a to-go cup.

Shawn DiMascio

This place has good coffee choices backed up by a great atmosphere and wonderful staff who serve everything with a smile. I highly suggest taking the time to go in, pull up a chair and enjoy one of their many aromatic and beautifully crafted coffees.

Minji Kwon

It was vibrant and lively space. Bring headphones if you need to study as it can get pretty loud!

Jerre Hudgins

Good atmosphere, but didn't care for the coffee that much. Definitely a good place to unwind or have good conversation. Check it out.

Rahilah Taylor

Great place, nice ambiance, awesome staff, and really laid back clientele. Alaska is definitely moving up into the hipster world with this place. I really enjoyed the drip coffee. They offer a great selection and the staff is knowledgeable with the notes and flavors of the different brews available. This is a must try place!

Ruben Guzman Jr

A beautifully put together coffee house! Very industrial and modern look to it. The baristas are friendly and greet you with a smile. Didn’t try the coffee but the Greek yogurt was on point! Free, fast WiFi. Also, they gave me an option of having a metal spoon

Douglas Anderson

Best coffee roaster in Anchorage, Alaska. I tried them all and Black Cup wins hands down.

Margaret Wiltfong Tovrea

Several folks were greeted by name! That's pretty special!

Houston Laws

Coffee and great service, what more?!

Devin Reiss

Great coffee shop that has great gelato.

Ike Waits

I have been going here many years. Great coffee and friendly staff.

Randy Brown

Lovely atmosphere. Very film noir meets Brooklyn hipster. Sad it's in a strip mall.

George Beaty

Coffee wasn't even close to being hot. Service was about the worst I've experienced with practiced rudeness. No greeting, no thank you. The kiss my ass was implied in a big way.

Terika Kons

Good high-end, gourmet coffee, very smooth. Not much for "foofy" coffee drinkers. Limited syrups. Soy & Coconut milks - no almond. Unique hot chocolate. Limited pre-packed food options. Atmosphere: limited seating, tables close together, not super cozy. Lap top workers seem to like it here. Open late.

Brandon D'Alimonte

Good coffee but nothing really special. Inside is clean/modern which I usually don't enjoy in my coffee shop experience but this one is very nice and fits the area.

Miles Jones

Very good coffee. Fast service

Rebekah Cruz

Great atmosphere. We love to come by, enjoy a cup and play board games. Also, a good location.

Brandon Musgrove

It's alright. The coffee was actually kind of sour. I'm not sure I'll come back to tell you the truth.

Brice Wilbanks

Good coffee and experience. I really like the design of the cafe and its retro feel. However, the chairs are not as inviting for long periods of stay and restrooms were dirty on my last visit. Overall nice place for a cup of coffee if your stay is somewhat short.

Sarah Katari

Always a lovely, professional environment

Julia Taylor

Good coffee, free wifi and lots of room to spread out if you need to get work done.

Sharon Miller

Owner Jared is a jerk.

Megan Rowe

This is my favorite place to study in town. The new mint cardamom tea is delicious. The baristas are all really kind and hip. The atmosphere and decor is some of the best in town.

Alison Kelley

My go-to coffee shop. Traditional cappuccinos, nice drip options, and spot-on Americanos (Americani?). Great service. Order your drink once and they'll usually remember it next time. Lord of sorry exposure windows make this a sweet place to drink in precious winter sun.

KJK Comics

All other coffee tastes like ash after tasting their brew. Go to the Black Cup at your own risk! You might leave with higher standards.

Kaya Tanksley

The prices were very fair. The staff was really great and exciting and energetic. The atmosphere was very inviting. It was the perfect start to a Monday morning.

Liam Floyd

I really enjoy the atmosphere of Black Cup, I personally don't prefer their coffee black. I find it to be a bit to acidic for my taste, I typically get a White Mocha Breve. The baristas are kind and know what they are doing most of the time. About 10% of the time my drink is made incorrectly or not to my liking. But when it is made correctly, it's phenomenal!

Connor Reynolds

This was my first time here. The staff are genuinely nice people who love what they do. The barista that put in my order took the time to check ingredients and make sure that what she was serving me was actually vegan. Much appreciated! They have dairy alternatives like almond milk, coconut milk, and soy milk. The overall atmosphere of Black Cup is warm and inviting. Plenty of seating and space to grab coffee with a few friends or do some online work (WiFi is available). The menu is simple and delicious, with decent prices and various sizes. I would definitely suggest this place to friends and I will be back very soon.

Rachel Newell

Coffee is great. Close to the rock gym, campus, hours rock, staff is lovely, bright enough to keep me focused, comfortable enough to hang out all day, outlets everywhere... the only problem is finding a table.

Don Graham

Favourite people meet and work here.

Johannes Meyer

Great if you can find a table!

Olga Moza

Excellent coffee! Clean place. Very polite baristas. Definitely coming back!

Amber Basel

We love to get our coffee beans there but honestly wish there were another great roaster in town. Unfortunately, when it comes to waiting on a drink, I’ve never waiting less than 10 minutes. I was a barista for 10+ years and it’s just absolutely ridiculous how long it takes to make a decaf Americano. Today I waited over 15min and finally just told them I had to leave and not to make it. She didn’t seem too bothered by it, seeing that she was busy talking up some guy while slowly making 1 drink at a time with a line of about 6 drinks total....

John Buckingham

Very friendly staff and great coffee.

Trevor Soderholm

Great coffee. Can be crowded (but that's always a good sign). Tried a pastry that was pretty good.

Gradey Iverson

Wonderful cup of joe in a good environment

Nathan Smith

We ordered cold brew and hot chocolate. The cold brew tasted like tobacco water. The hot chocolate was fine, albeit bland and tasted like every other hot chocolate. We also got the chocolate croissant, the bear claw, and the blueberry muffin. The bear claw is good. The croissant was not good at all, not enough filling and too dry. The muffin was decent, plenty of fruit and sugar.

Drew Clavelot

I highly recommend getting a doppio. They have the best espresso I've ever had. The drip coffee is great. I haven't expanded to anything else they offer, but I can only imagine it is top notch.

Ashlee Weatherly

Great coffee. Friendly baristas. Not a good place to do work/study —music is loud and not very relaxing and internet is slow :(

William Werden

Cozy and quaint! Good service, good crowd with great food and coffee!

Constance Mason

Great coffee but was super busy at 10am on a weekday!

aj radick

I come here almost everyday. I practically live here. Since the budget cuts at UAA, the library closes early. Its easier for me to come to the coffee shop. I live right down the road and plus, I can walk right up and get more coffee. AND they're open till 11. Can't beat that! They are always busy, but they are also always friendly. Most of these guys are working and going to school. I give them props. One thing though, you guys should totally get a punch card/rewards card. I'm pretty sure I spend $100+ a month there! Can't wait to see if you open a new location too. I just can't go anywhere else. Bye Starbucks. Cheers

Leah Jones

Really neat boutique coffee shop. Clean and well decorated on the inside. Friendly staff and delicious coffee. This will be a go to for sure. They have a few items for sale as far as food goes, mostly pastries and such.

Tim Ivanitskiy

This coffee shop has a very relaxed atmosphere. The place is very clean, people are friendly, and the coffee is outstanding! Edit: I have been here multiple times and still not disappointed. Loved it every time. The bore tide is the default roast they use in the lattes and it's got a sweet texture to it. All their roasts are pretty light and that means you need less of the coffee for the same among of caffeine boost. The process of roasting coffee beans very dark destroys a lot of the caffeine. Go to black cup, give it a try. They're local, been around since the seventies, and they know what they are doing.

Kyle Pace

Great vibe, great coffee, and open late during the school year. What more could one ask for?

Duygu Oztek

Great coffee in town!

Don Krupski

A neat place to go on Sunday morning for a great latte. I like the remodel. Latte temperature and art are perfect.

Suzanne Fonova

I've been going here for a year or two, and its my go-to spot for studying. It has a nice atmosphere so even if people talk, it won't distract you. The drip is really good, I suggest alpenglow! You can also go here for business or meetings which a lot of people do.

Chelsea Ana

I personally really love the space, it's comfortably quiet and the perfect place for studying with a good cup of coffee. There are plenty of spaces and large windows for natural light. A couple large and small tables make it good for groups as well as spreading your work out. I overall think the service and quality is great!

Russ Matthess

Too busy for their own good. Every time I've come here, seating is at a premium. So they're doing coffee right but the trade off is being so popular you have nowhere to sit.

Steve He

Update your schedule on Google if you close at 8 in summer. Misleading information making people waste time.

Jaemi Jose

The best coffee! The ambience was really nice with beautiful lighting and small private spaces.

Archana Rao

Great coffee! And the cutest doggie outside!!

Larry Apalatea

Great coffee and service. Place is cozy where you can find time to enjoy your coffee and relax.

Jozph G

Another overpriced coffee shop for the yuppie, computer internet coffee shop lovers. It's a nice place to be served your coffee in an actual stoneware coffee cup not the paper kind design for travel. It does have a larger capacity for it's patrons, which is a bonus and their pastries are par with the rest of the coffee shops. It is one of the better Midtown spots to pick up a cup of java.

Robert Juckett

Amazing coffee, also offers hot apple cider in the winter. Also has really good snacks (cookies, etc) and a decent selection of teas

Tyrell B

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Artisan coffee isn't really my thing, but its still pretty cool learning about it. The prices are cheaper and the staff seems much more welcoming than Steam Dot. They make a really tasty Panini that comes with complimentary chips too! They keep pretty late hours and have wifi as well. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because there has been a few times I've come in and they've been out of stock of one thing or another.

Leland Jones

Amazing coffee, amd amazing environment! Great place for business or studying! Quiet sections, open sections, private sections, and open sections! Great bathrooms, great service, and just a wonderful place to grab a cup of joe! Highly recommend this place! Will definitely be going here more often!

Jim Avery

They must be doing something right, the place is always crowded. I enjoyed a mocha, it was very rich and had a hint of some spice I couldn't identify. Intriguing selection of ground coffee.

Silas Vongsamath

It's a busy cafe, atmosphere is busy really studious on Sunday. Staff is friendly and welcoming, tea is good, coffee is good, it's good.

Theodore Combos

The best coffee shop in Anchorage! Delicious craft coffee, friendly staff, warm and comfortable decor, and super fast WiFi! Great to meet up with a friend, get some coffee to go, or sit and get some work done.

Landis Loftin

I like to sit here and do work on my laptop. It is a wonderful environment for socializing all while still getting some work done. Quite cosy in the back and somewhat cramped at times in the front. Fun selection of drinks and small foods.

Efraim Natal

Friendly staff. Good coffee. Interesting atmosphere. Mildly cramped bar, but device friendly with port access under the bar.

Doug Stucki

Best coffee in Anchorage! Even better than most coffee in Seattle. Nice little cafe with a good vibe. All the baristas are friendly and welcoming. Very clean as well. Highly recommend it!

Al

Pros: Best coffee in town. Best baristas in town. Cons: Often gets crowded. You can find slightly better ambiance elsewhere.

sophia cruikshank

Prefect Carmel cappuccino and just the right blunt undertones without the Starbucks citrus yuck.

Matthew Vincent

This is the best cup of coffee in Alaska that I know of. The roast is amazing, the blend is amazing, and the flavour is great!

Kyle Foster

Nice to find a local coffee shop that is open late in Anchorage. Nice place!

M. Park

Love the interior and fast free internet.

Jonathan Robinson

EVERYTHING that Snow City does is 5 star,....service, food quality,.... Recommend the Crabby OMLET is my favorite, Hash brown potatoes are home made, tea selections are great..... Locals and travelers come here......Get in EARLY for Breakfast/Lunch to minimize waits....Enjoy. :-)

Thurimen Mitphen

Hipster joint. Walked in and saw multiple people using their MacBooks working on what I can only assume is their screenplay. Coffee was good. I ordered a cup of black coffee as their name suggests. No complaints. Service was good. Coffee was good. I'd go there and work on my screenplay too but I don't have a MacBook.

Walter Zimmerman

Best coffee shop in town!

Tyler Moyer

This is easily the best coffee shop in town. The roasts are incredible, baristas are wonderful, and the atmosphere is fabulous, upbeat and still relaxed. This is certainly a third wave coffee shop so if you're a Starbucks half cafe macchiato type of person I would give this a pass, but if you're a coffee lover stop in and give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

Randall Danes

A great place for specialty coffee drinks and light food. Friendly staff. Quite popular.

Lydia Page

Usually pretty busy And coffee is Pretty Good

Chase Warren

On a busy Sunday afternoon the staff was too busy to get my order right, but made it a priority to stop making drinks and harass a man that had quietly walked in to presumably find a spot to sit before ordering. They stopped the man to inform him he'd need to buy something to be permitted to stay, "that will be $2.50 for a cup" one barista told the man who acknowledged the statement, then proceeded to find a spot to sit down. At this point that same barista stopped serving the long line of customers and began to ask the now seated man to show him the money. Quietly the man slowly began searching his pockets for requested $2.50($2.50 for cup of drip coffee! but thats a different complaint). The man couldn't find the money. When I offered to buy the man his cup, I was told that would not be allowed by the barista. I gave a few dollars to the man his cup and left. Not long after, the man exited and walked off. The man was dressed in all dark clothing and carried a small backpack. If you care to judge a person by their appearance, you may determine this man may very well be homeless. So here is my problem. If a well dressed woman had walked in talking loudly on her cellphone had walked past the counter to use the bathroom before paying, would they have stopped her? If an overly enthusiastic man came in and recognized a friend in the back, threw his hands in the air and yelled to their friend across the room until they noticed them, then sat down to continue taljing so loud that eveyone coyld hear, would the barista stop serving waiting customers to demand $2.50? No, no they would not. Black Cup cares more about kicking out undesirables than providing good service. Service isn't even good when they aren't slammed. They are so pretentious you'd think you were in Seattle. I'll never give another cent to this business.

Phil Izon

Best Cafe in Anchorage, very enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere.

Jonathan Redfearn

A mix of modern and classic styles. The best place to work or study, with the best coffee.

Heren Huang

Fast service, fair prices, free WiFi. Large variety of seating between bars and comfy chairs and hard seats... What more could you ask for?

Steven Sobotor

I would like to have given a better review because the coffee was superb. What holds me back from giving a better rating is the total lack of interaction by the staff... I didn't get any kind of greeting, smile or even an acknowledgement of my presence. Once I placed my order the gentleman asked here or to go and my name. End of this part of the experience. No thank you or anything.. It was 3 in the afternoon and perhaps they needed a break or whatever excuse I need to try and search for.. Next stop getting the large Americano. At this point I expected little and was not disappointed... But now to the point of my final realization that these wonderful young people are just not personable. With my coffee in hand I went to do the fixing part, which for me is just a slight coloration of cream which is half and half actually, but it was empty.... So I returned to the counter, where the lady was finishing up an order with the empty container.. Though I was but two and a half feet from her I received no eye contact or recognition of being there at all.. I wasn't sure if she could see me or just had enough people in her life for one day... She finished up with the other guest and turned the cold shoulder to me and began to rinse her equipment. My friend had been seated and was finishing up a rather nice looking Danish?? Then my still muted server started to move away from me and the counter.. I was not sure if I had to call her attention to me or just give up on my quest for cream. As she walked around the back of the work space she fetched a container and filled my container . She never once said a word to me but I thanked her and helped myself to the half and half and replaced the container to the station where I found it... But the coffee was good even though I found the rest of the experience less than welcoming!

scott stanford

Such a great place. I don't know Anchorage at all. Didn't expect to find this. Really cool place with a hip, classy vibe. Super friendly women working. One shared her incredible playlist with me. Music was great. Coffee was very good. Can't wait to come back.

Priscilla Velarde

The service and coffee is amazing. I have only visited a few times and they are quick to recognize me. This has become my favorite coffee in Alaska.

John Schaff

Intelligently and artistically roasted beans, obviously sourced from farms that take pride in their product. The baristas know what they are doing and will dump a shot down the drain and recalibrate the grinder if the shot isn't perfect. My standard drink is an americano with a little heavy cream and I look forward to it each day knowing that I will get a consistently great tasting drink.

Caitlin Mocan

This place is my favorite spot to get coffee in Anchorage, best coffee, they have great donuts and great customer service. I didn't get the drink I ordered today (it still tasted great) but when I called to let them know they handled it very well, thank you for being awesome black cup <3

Jeff Brasel

Great place! Delicious coffee drinks and friendly staff. Glad we found it!

Crandall W

Open to anyone that has money...water is free haha!

Vincent Michel

The other day, I was there with my daughter getting coffee I went outside to have a smoke, and do some online banking. Now don't get me wrong your coffee is good. I was brought up with maners, to be respectful to the old, to women of all ages. So when I heard, that the police were going to be called on me. For being respectful to other. Well it's time to leave, I well not be coming back to your store. I well not apology for how I was raised!

Mama Rora

Lovely service, fair prices and an amazing atmosphere. This is the place to go if you love coffee.

Van Strebe

Just amazing coffee. Good service.

Sarah Lindamood

This is my new favorite coffee date and work date place. It's brilliantly located near midtown and the highway and surrounded by other charming shops. The coffee is great, the food lovely and delicious, the staff is well-defined and courteous. There is a very old-world feel without being pretentious. I love this place.

Joseph Cosgriff

Great coffee. Nice atmosphere. Seating can be difficult to find at times.

Andrew Elegante

Brisk, airy coffee shop with lots of work/sit/chat space, free WiFi, free parking, interesting people to watch and a variety of coffee items and baked goods. I ordered the mocha which has more spice to it than a standard mocha (I liked this). It was also a bit too sweet for my taste. Sat at a table to do some work. Every table has an outlet which is very nice. There are group tables and lots of bar style solo stools. Did not try the pour overs because of my caffeine sensitivity but they advertise that the coffee is best enjoyed black so the flavors must be good. Really would have liked to try the Guatemalan with cherry notes...

Bill Kennedy

Great coffee!!

Teva Wiese

Classy location, great coffee, friendly service, and fair prices. What more can you ask for?? Definitely recommend over Kaladi's or Steamdot

Scott McDonald

Good WiFi. Easy service. Clean.

Lars Danner

This place has good coffee and a nice atmosphere.

Doris Williams

Great coffee Clean Great service Wi-fi

Alex Odegaard

Best coffee place in town. The only criticism I could give is that during peak hours it can be difficult to find a table.

Ryan Horton

Some of the smoothest coffee I've tasted in Anchorage.

Shawnalee Whitney

Busy, centrally-located Kaladi Brothers location. Their coffee is consistently good and expertly prepared. Unfortunately, Black Cup's new look just isn't as warm and appealing to me as it was before the remodel. It seems kind of cold now.

Brett Liscinsky

Nice atmosphere. Great coffee!

Lachlan Gerrety

Charming cafe with a good atmosphere, nice staff, and great coffee and pastries.

Abigail Michel

Come here often for studying or just to grab some coffee and relax for a while. Employees are friendly and the drinks are good. Though drinking here so often has made me dislike coffee from Starbucks

breck Rumley

Modern decor and quick service!

Yariv Cohen

They didn’t have brew coffee so they gave me Americano without asking me. I don’t like americano and it didn’t taste good.

Chelsea Cassell

The coffee here is great and the atmosphere is pleasant. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is it is often quite busy and finding a place to sit for more than one person can be difficult to impossible.

Brandon Wasserburger

These guys should be ranked higher than 4.5. They're really good. Awesome mochas and great atmosphere.

Rory Adair

Always a great place to have a sit-down for coffee. Lovely atmosphere. Gets pretty crowded midday though.

Crystal Horman

Friendly and personable staff. The atmosphere is spectacular loved the space. Great strong coffee.

Meg DeLorey

I don't drink coffee, but their hot chocolate is wonderful. I'll walk over from Barnes & Noble to get my hot chocolate here rather than at the cafe there. The food is much better too, fresh and delicious.

Meg Phillips

I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't speak to that, but I love a good hot chocolate and they are the best I've found so far. Also, reusable cups/mugs earn you a small discount. I've found some good books on the shelf by the door, conveniently located where one can browse the free books while waiting to order.

Christopher Seipp

Great coffee

Gregg Kennedy

Had really good scones

Margaret Robinson

Nice coffee shop for visiting with friends or working. Great coffee!

Garrett Floyd

I'm very torn in writing this review. Black Cup serves some of the best coffee in town, but I struggle to get past the shortcomings of the location itself. On my last several visits, the common areas have been exceptionally unclean. The floors appear to have not been swept or mopped in days, and my backpack has stains to prove it. I did not look closely at the food and coffee preparation areas, but hopefully they are better maintained. The ceiling was dripping water onto my table, barely missing my laptop. When I informed the staff, they replied that they were aware but had no plans to fix the leak. One of the two bathrooms had a broken toilet that would not flush, and unfortunately one or more previous occupants had found out too late in their visit... Until the proprietors make some much-needed repairs and institute better cleanliness standards, I do not plan to revisit Black Cup.

Staci Duquet

My friend took me here for the first time today and this is by far the best coffee place! I think stopping here after climbing at the rock gym will become a routine! It's got a rustic, modern look to it and the way they decorated for Christmas is gorgeous. Great atmosphere for studying too. If you're in the area, do NOT skip out on this place. Stop by and ask for their Soy vanilla latte! You won't regret it ;)

Kelli L

I think their coffee is good, but they really do not know how to brew tea. The water wasn't hot enough to brew my oolong tea. I even went back and had the water switched out once. It still was more like water than tea. I gave up and left.

David Brown

Pretty good cup of coffee. I went for tea once too. The food is good but over priced.

Karanime Nielsen

Excellent coffee. Local roaster. Highly recommended.

Pauline Fusco

I have had less good cups of coffee here, but in general, top three of anchorage coffee shops.

Cairo

You can taste the high quality of the beans. Free refills on plain coffee and great service.

Michael James

Calm and comfortable for an impromptu meeting and the coffee is always reliably good.

Christina B

Delicious coffee and tea. Thanks for a great experience!

Ross Johnston

My favorite place for coffee meetings. It's intimate and busy at the same time.

Sarah Greenwood

The shop itself is easy to access and very attractive inside. The large windows and different styles of seating (bar seating, group tables, couches, small tables) is very enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the menu is straight forward and fairly priced. I loved the art on the top of my friends vanilla latte, and my mocha was to die for! It's like they used Mexican chocolate, the flavor was very unique and I enjoyed every drop. I will be back!

Luke O'Neil

Probably the best coffee in Anchorage. Perfect for single origin pour overs.

Nicole Deren

Great coffee and service but half the time I stop by there is a long line for coffee and no available seating.

Kelley Merrill

Unpretentious, classy, casual, and great coffee. I brought my mom in, who normally gets her coffee from mcdonalds, and when she asked for some over sweetened over fluffed drink she normally gets at a drive through and she wasn't laughed out the door. The person taking our order was friendly, patient, and helpful. Thank you!!! Oh, she loved what she got btw.

Bruce Boyes

Good coffee and pastries, including vegan, with a cool vibe

Ben Kitzmiller

Good latte skillz. Lots of nuts in the lemon poppy seed muffin, I liked it.

Erin G.

I no longer go anywhere else. Once tasting their wonderful cup of awesomeness, there's no other shop that compares! And the great people that work there, make it even better. And it's not just myself that goes here, my whole family of 8 go! They have great hot chocolate, for the kiddo's!

Chris Lokanin

Great environment and ☕ coffee

Myra Scholze

Great atmosphere. I love doing homework here in the evenings. Tonight I'm enjoying a warm apple cider!

L B

My first time in this original Anchorage, AK coffee house, delightfully NOT closed on easter Sunday like a lot of places in town. Not that Anchorage is all that conservative. Seems folks here just like their time off any time they can get it. GREAT mocha: creamy, hot, double shot, with 2% milk as I requested, no whipped cream cuz I don't like it. Unlike Kaladi's which only serves whole milk, or is it 1/2 n 1/2? The cafe is modern and classic at the same time. I came to meet new friend. My only complaint, suggstion really, is to offer a few more comfortable chairs. Yeah I know is means we sit a bit longer , maybe without buying something else. These old bones need some cushion! And, I have the income to spend more if Im comfortable enough to stay longer.

Robert Rumohr

Wonderful coffee from a well respected local roaster and passionate people. I love this place!

Karin Klaassen

The best tasting coffee! Warm and personable atmosphere

Shiri Segal

I like their coffee and the decor...but the biggest reason why I would go there was they were open until 10 or 11 pm. I could get so much work done...but that’s no longer the case. Now they are just a generic coffee place to me..like Starbucks; which is also open until just 8.

Mark Beiler

Best coffee roasters in Alaska by far.

Lee wally

Best lattes in Anchorage so far everytime so far! Only wished they have the punch cards rewards!

Tory Adams

Consistently excellent coffee and a wonderful crew. There isn't anything to dislike.

Jason Karpinski

Great place for coffee, tea, breakfast items, etc. Only complaint is that it's so popular, that there's not enough seating.

Cybele LeClare

Its comfortable, sleek atmosphere, free wifi, great coffee... wish there were more breakfast items to eat. :)

Peter Nordlund

Amazing... service, coffee and eats!

TJ Stubblefield

High quality coffee and skilled baristas. Can be hard or impossible to find a place to sit during busy times.

Brooke lynn

Really chill atmosphere. They always are so nice and make good coffee. Wifi zone.

Eli Matthews

Amazing drinks and service. Just wish they had more food options!

Kristian Erickson

Excellent upscale version of our hometown coffee company. We don't need the escapee coffee company from the Pike Place Market to enjoy good coffee in Anchorage! I ought to know, I patronized the very first location of the mermaid-logo mega corporate coffee giant back in the sixties.

Jesse Aronson

Black cup is a staple in Anchorage's coffee community. The trendy shop is matched with its friendly staff, and the coffee is up to the standards expected by the coffee-snobs in Anchorage.

milo eakins

cute little shop. delicious chai.

Heather Dukes

Great sludge cup and yummy cake donuts.

Kelly Marie Partner

The caramel latte was delicious. Maybe a little expensive for an everyday coffee place, but certainly worth an occasional treat. Staff was very friendly on the way in and out. Lots of seating inside, mostly 2-person tables, some for 4, and one large table for a group of 6-8.

bettie page

Great service and the baristas pretty much pull the best shot in all of Anchorage. Worth skipping the drive throughs and sometumes ling lines.

phyllis timario

Beautiful place, decor and setup but disappointed at how filthy it was. Floors and seats. I had a latte with whip cream and was afraid to use the plastic spoons because I already felt dirty being there. I asked the barista for a cup of water and she almost gave me a cup she ran her fingers across trying to remove what looked like coffee grounds...

Levi T

Staff makes an effort to know their regular customers. The coffee is great and the atmosphere so welcoming. One of my favorite places to get work done.

Tristen Ray

Oh my god i lIve and breathe this coffe shop. Its got the BEST cold brew. The baristas always make my drink right. Their natural flavoring syrups are perfect and theres something about this quaint little shop me and all my friends are in love with. ☆☆☆☆☆

Ana Johnson

Great atmosphere and pretty good service. My coffee wasn't amazing but it tasted fine.
