Montero's isn't a place I would recommend. We ordered our appetizer, glazed shrimp. Our shrimp arrived with haste. However our main course after 45 mins hadn't arrived yet. After running our waitress down we were informed that the cook hadn't even started to prepare our food. We were told the alligator didn't smell right so they were recooking our meal. No thanks an hour is long enough. Understaffed poor service.

Jerk chicken and fish tacos were very good as were onion rings and fried green tomatoes. Philly cheese steak was terrible. Meat over cooked, almost no green peppers and no onions on it. It was almost inedible. It was 56 degrees outside and felt colder in restaurant. Owner is only one who could change.thermostat and she was not there

Been here a here times. Burgers are amazing. The kids meal with corn dogs were delicious. This most recent time I ordered the BBQ spud and the whole potato taste sour. Very disappointed.

Our server Chuck was great and the food was delicious! I had the calamari for me meal and I am stuffed. My brother got the Montego burger and says he would highly recommend it. My son got the kids chicken fingers and the the serving was enough for an adult at kids pricing. They had the Auburn game on and they just came back and whipped Texas A&M for a big one win. They also have a huge array of beer options on tap.

Overcrowded little hangout full of extremely boisterous local regulars -- the noise they made playing games was deafening. And the grits in the shrimp & grits were not salted, a boneheaded mistake that you can't just remedy with a salt shaker. Only good thing was service.

Fun environment, excellent service, food was delicious! I had the mahi waffle fries and grits with a blue margarita it was very good! My husband had a huge cheeseburger with deep fried pickles and fries we also tried the calamari. Everything was wonderful.

This Montego's, in my opinion is waaay better than the downtown location. Had steak taco's (I think tacos) anyway downtown location was pretty subpar. So I was kind of reluctant to try this restaurant's newer west Mobile location, but, I was really impressed by the food, service and set up. When u walk in there are plenty of tables close together but not too close. You can sit at the bar and drink. They have great tap selection, as well as your liquor needs. They have special drinks and I think I saw frozen margaritas, a must for Mexican all though I prefer rocks. Great food, great service, and great ambiance. Laid back and locally owned check out this gem u wont be disappointed...

Went there with my boyfriend and his son. The fried pickles were delicious. I got the burger-they forgot my bacon but other than that-very tasty. My boyfriend ordered the jerk chicken tacos. they were full of flavor. His son ordered the nachos. There was so much food piled on them and they were great!! Service was good too. I suggest eating outside because it's a little dark and small inside.

The food is always great. The atmosphere inside is relaxed and very, very small. Excellent selection of draft beers. Shotgun Betty is my current fave. I enjoy this place because the service is prompt and polite but not overbearing. This place is frills free, just the way I like it. The French fries are outstanding and the bread on the shrimp po'boy is just right.

I use to love this restaurant until I went to the west mobile location on Airport. The service was abysmal. We waited forever to be seated, our server Katherine was rude and had the social graces of a pig. According to the staff there was no manager available. I have messaged and called the owner several times and still no response. I will never go back. If you notice from above reviews, bad customer service is a theme at this location.

The fish tacos were wonderful and my hubby said the same thing about the pork tacos. The fried pickles were yummy as well. The lunch portions were more than enough. Our server Chuck was super nice and took good care of us. We will be returning!

Great beer selection, changes often. Had the regular hamburger, it was massive and messy, but that's ok there were plenty of napkins. Had the onion rings. I probably will not order the onion rings again, the batter does not hold to the onion and I felt like I was just eating greasy onions. The fries dill pickles were some of the best I have had. Service was spot on this visit.

Went to the one west Mobile, the food was grease. Had cheese grits and shrimp, if you want cheese with some grits then it would be fine. Way too much cheese. Came with two sides ordered fried green tomatoes they had no taste.

Awesome burgers sized to feed a Marine infantry squad! Great selection of beers, ales, and porters....48 taps in all. I'm a stout and porter fan, and they always have 6-10 available along with old reliable, Guinness. Nice peeps, good eats, and awesome beer selection. 5 stars!

Sadly, it seems this place has gone downhill over the years. Only 1/3 of the beer taps were filled (maybe 7-8 beers on tap). Food was just okay...$13 for 3 fish tacos on cold flour tortillas. No more “all you can eat” tacos on Thursdays. Both of the beers I had were either terrible or flat. I asked for the beer my friend had while pointing at it and the server brought me the one he tasted and did not like. The overall environment seemed like a total dive (dark inside, hardly customers...)

The food here is great and the staff is friendly and never takes too long to bring the food. The one complaint I have is that brunch is only served on sunday. If brunch were served here in Saturdays, I'd probably be there everything saturday for it. The steak and eggs dish was one if the best things I've ever had in my life and I dont understand why you would only serve it on sunday.

I've always loved this place. Today I tried the jamaican jerk chicken tacos and I don't know if I'll ever order anything else again. They were that good. Try them. Also ask about the loaded potato salad (it wasn't on the menu but they had it and it was gOOOD)

Can't say enough. I was told to get the shrimp tacos with the Caribbean glaze and that's what I got grilled with a side of potato salad. And boy am I glad I did. The flavors exploded off the plate and there was not a bit left o. The plate. The beer selection was just as good and the server I had was just as great. When. You come in ask for Michelle great server with a bubbly personality and attentive.

I used to love eating at the downtown location before they closed. Now I visit the Airport Road location.The Famous Fish Tacos were my thing- fried or grilled. However, the carryout orders I received this past Thursday has changed that. It looks like they took 1 fish and split it into 3 tiny strips to make 3 tacos. In all my time of eating here that has never been the portion of fish for fish tacos. Not good at all. I'm done.

This was our first time here. The food was good but it was not exactly hot. Our waiter was a terrible listener I said no lemon, I got lemon!! I even removed my lemon and made a big deal about wiping off my glass and still continued getting lemons. Now I am sitting waiting on my check it’s been 15 minutes I am inside the restaurant and literally see no one. I could walk out! They are so clueless l don’t think they would notice!

Tried coming here about 6 months ago and waited 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us (there was maybe 5 guest inside) and nobody did so we left. Went again and got seated immediately, the shrimp tacos were great!! The service however was awful. Was there 2 1/2 hours. Kept forgetting drinks, would be a 20 minute span before we would see our server again. Seems like the entire restaurant was having the same experience.

Loved it. Tried it for the first time and it was great! I had the Jag burger. It had the fried pickles on top. It was huge and I could only eat half. My husband had the Full Monte and it was ginormous! He couldn't finish it either! The drinks were good I had the breezey it was $7 and was about 12oz which was a good deal. We also had the wings which were fried perfectly in my opinion. Great place and great servers, very friendly. Definitely recommend and will return again!

Our group that was dining that night was "old school" so nicley put we are not up to date on alot of the newer type drinks. But as we dined and googled different drinks to try we would show them to our server, who also was bartending, and he politely made each drink we found on the internet. This night out was a definitely a 5 star night. Great food. Awesome drinks. And wonderful service. This has become my go to place.

The food is as good as it looks! It’s a cute little neighborhood bar but the stands on its own, very fresh large portion unique flavors and delicious! Service was amazing, I wish I could remember the waitresses name but she was fantastic and super super helpful! Definitely recommend this place the only thing I don’t recommend is the jerk chicken tacos, The chicken tasted good but the coleslaw was too sweet and it just did not work together.

MCB is amazing! The space is small, so at busy times you can expect to wait, but it's worth it. I live closer to this location but work near the downtown location. I know it's the same restaurant, but this location on Airport Blvd is 100x better. The staff is more responsive and kinder, the food is always fresh, hot and delicious, and the drinks are on point. Unfortunately I cannot the same about the downtown location. I likely won't be back to that one. So if you're in West Mobile, or if you're willing to come out this way, stop by MCB!
