I enjoyed my meal at City Cafe last night. I had two eggs toes deli ham and french fries gloves iced tea to drink and vanilla ice cream with syrup for dessert. I'm a veteran so I can get 10% discount on my meal even when I bring a friend with me.

This is my second time eating here. I just left with my oldest daughter. I had a taste for waffles, so she took me to Huntsville. I had a waffle with 2 scramble eggs and two sausages with coffee and she had French toast with scramble eggs and coffee. The price was reasonable. The diner was clean and staff was friendly.

If you're looking for some amazing authentic food, whether it's Greek, Italian, etc this is the place to go. Located near the Parkway Place Mall on Drake Ave in Huntsville, AL. The amount of food you get is well worth what you're going to pay. The staff is also great, very friendly and always come around to ask if you need anything else. Definitely stop here and check out the food or even just their desert options.

Really large menu, this usually makes me sceptical of the qualuty. My girlfriend had chicken parmesan, I had a Philly cheese steak wrap. Her food was okay, chicken was obviously from frozen, marinara sauce leaves a little to be desired, (it's a bit bland) spaghetti is hard to screw up. The cheese steak wrap was hot and fresh, shaved steak and cheese in a tortilla isn't really too complicated. Would go back, just keep to the simpler foods to avoid disappointment.

Highly recommend!! Had my first experience at City Cafe tonight. I was very surprised with the variety of options offered on the menu. Not only was the food great but the portions were huge. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be served, even with our party of 18. Very satisfied with the service we received and as I stated before.... highly recommend City Cafe. I will be returning again soon.

Today was our very first visit City Cafe Diner we were warmly greeted and seated drink orders taken immediately and filled properly server gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted then she came into her orders only waited about 7 minutes or our food everything arrived well-prepared piping hot cooked to order looking around the dining area everything was well kept spotlessly clean even saw some of the employees cleaning away from eating customers keeping the dining area spotless our server was excellent absolutely no complaints about City Cafe Diner one of our best experiences in the City of Huntsville we highly recommend

Great Greek and American food with lots of choices on the menu. The cake and pie case greet you at the door but be ready to order desert to go because you will eat so much of the huge servings of delicious food! Breakfast served all day and not just the regular fare-pages of choices as well as several daily specials to choose from. We had the souvlaki tonight with the best grilled chicken I have ever eaten. The fries were hot and the service was fast. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. And you get a basket of fresh bread and cheese spread while you wait. Can’t wait to go back to Huntsville and City Cafe Diner again!!!

Great place, great food, excellent staff I wanted to make sure you guys get the credit you deserve after what I witnessed today with one of your servers and that rude customer who looked like they just wanted a comped meal and YouTube views since they were filming the ongoing conversation. This place has some of the best homestyle cooking I have ever eaten in a restaurant. We stopped here looking for a good restaurant while traveling yesterday and they did not disappoint. The cake was delicious too, we tried the chocolate/strawberry cake. Very fast service as well. They brought us some type of spinach appetizers before our meal came out and they were so good, O forgot to ask what it was. We already have plans of going back. Can't wait to tell my coworkers to try it out.

I ask for sauteed green beans they gave me plain no seasoning at all my fries sucked but the country fried steak was the only perfect thing on the meal plate.The server was horrible she hung up front most of the time. Place was kind of dirty also and kinda needs a update also. Was not happy at all with the first time experience was horrible and, probably will not give it a second chance.

Portions are awesome. Prices are a little high, but the friendly service, expansive menu, and truly quality food make up for that. They have anything your hungry heart could desire, from great Greek food (though I'd skip the soups next time; they're bland and gummy) to excellent home cooked American fare. Their hamburger steak is savory excellence; their chicken piccata is JUST like my favourite recipe; their fries are just right, and their gyros are hugely satisfying. And we took ours to go. We'll probably go again soon.

I am not a huge fan of this place, but my boyfriend loves their Greek food. The last time we went, I ordered an omelet, and found 3 huge chunks of egg shell in it. They didn't charge me for it, thankfully.. but it was still upsetting. Same trip, my cousin ordered the shepherds pie, and the meat inside was pink..so he also had to send his back and order something else. Hopefully this was a fluke, and they fired that cook! Bottom line.. they have a huge menu with a big variety of food, so there is something for everyone.. but I have not enjoyed any of the American (or Italian) foods on their menu, other than the country fried steak. Go if you like Greek! And they have an impressive selection of desserts.. expensive slices of cake..but enough to share with 2 or 3 people.

I have never had a bad dish here and the service is always good too. I brought a friend out to this place that had never eaten here and he loved it as well. This trip I had a gyro and tater salad and it was delicious. The portions are so large it's hard to save room for dessert. And let me tell you this you need to do that, there cakes are amazing!

Great place to eat! Lots of cuisine choices - Mexican, Greek, Italian, American, &c. I had a vegetarian quesadilla, which was very good. Excellent service. Atmosphere is a little lacking, which is why I have it four stars. Desserts are 10 out of 5 stars! Amazing choices. Great place to go just for dessert and coffee! Highly recommended.

Their Bible-sized menu had many verses, but one of the most curious was the claim that their gyros were the BIGGEST AND BEST in town. So, of course I had to try it. With every bite being a marriage of fluffy pita, succulent and seared lamb, crisp veggies and tangy tzatziki sauce, I'm proud to say I'm a true believer.

We went on a Sunday for lunch. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time, but waited for a server for longer than I'd like. When we were waited on, our server was nice and very good. The food was phenomenal. I had the rotisserie chicken wrap. It was delicious. This is a favorite spot so we'll definitely be back.

City Cafe Diner is AWESOME. Best meal we have had out and about in a long time. Service was top notch. Friendly atmosphere and great food, you can't get better than that. Food comes to the table so hot you swear they are cooking it at the next booth. Wife got the shrimp and spinach stuffed chicken with noodles and it was piping hot and every bite had shrimp in it. I had a Greek type meal and you would swear you were in Greece getting the meal. It was amazing. The amount of food for the price is outstanding. Extra large portions for a very small price. Deserts are amazing also. Many choices, from cheese cake, all different flavored cakes to pies. And the portions of cake you get is like you get almost a quarter of the cake. OUTSTANDING place, a CAN'T MISS Restaurant.

O....M.....G!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you are hungry when you come to this place, cause the food portions are huuuuge. I'm serious, I ordered a dish, which also came with lobster bisque AND house salad. The food was fresh, as it did not take them long to bring it out. Mind you, it was a Saturday and PACKED! Nevertheless, my waitress was ON HER JOB!! She was great: very courteous and always made sure that I didn't run out of coffee and water. I then splurged and ordered the Volcano cheesecake (I think that's the name of it). I say splurged because it cost $8: folks, please do not let that throw you off. You are NOT getting some small, thin slice of cheesecake like the kind at Wal-Mart. This cheesecake slice was so big, it FILLED an entire to go box....and the to go box WAS NOT SMALL. All in all, the service was great, the ambiance was wonderful and relaxing (the 80's music was playing outside, not inside), the food was (a) fresh (b) hot (c) very delicious. And lastly, you will leave this place FULL. When you enter the place waiting to be seated, take the time to look to your right at the dessert case. Go ahead and plan out your dessert, because you won't regret it! I'm DEFINITELY going to frequent this place.

I ordered the Lobster Sensation. The lobster was imitation, and the salmon was noregion slices which made the meal extremely salted. I'm very disappointed as I ordered as take-out. They have an amazing selection of dessert. I recommend the cake or pies displayed up front.

Normally my wife, kids, and I like the City Cafe Diner because of their huge menu and delicious desserts. However on our most recent trip there it seemed like they were short staffed. The service was slow, they were out of several things on the menu, they had almost no desserts, our food was not good, and the dining area floor was messy. It was hardly worth the money. We will give them another try. If the experience is not better we won't be going back. I would give them a lower rating if I had not had positive experiences there in the past.

The family and I decided to visit City Cafe Diner in Huntsville, Alabama on Father's Day. Every breakfast restaurant in town was extremely busy. The resturant staff was efficient and we were quickly seated. The menu is eclectic. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak and my daughteres enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the chicken sandwich. They offered a military discount.

Went to the City Cafe Diner tonight; it's an interesting place. It has a varied menu, but the food is filling, and good. They bring warm bread with a cheese spread that has Italian type flavor - very tasty. I had a Reuben wrap which was very good - nice and flavorful. My husband had the zorba plate - a Greek sampler whuch included a gyro - very tasty. There is so much food!!! We had to bring it home. They are also known for there desserts (and no lie! Awesome!) Now we had to try dessert but we couldn't eat it--we had to bring it home it was a Blondie: a cake layered with chocolate chip cookie base, cheese cake, cake... Wow!! (Had to split it between three people there was no way to eat it all by yourself! We ate it the next day. Super sweet. Not sure I'd get another but it was very much worth trying) The wait staff is friendly, and they make the visit enjoyable. Only thing: repairs are needed. One chair was repaired with duct tape, although I appreciated the practicality of it. I do recommend this place if you want hearty, tasty food.

This is the place to come if you want to delight your taste buds. Their menu reaches many, if not most, appetites. They start you off with warm bread and butter. I ordered the fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravy. They were so tender I didn't really need a knife. If you like rice pudding you won't be able to stop yourself with theirs. This establishment is highly recommended.

I usually LOVE city Cafe however today was a major disappointment. First off waitress messed my order up, the food was bland and not good at all. The omlette was a joke. The woman who was at the check out was rude and didn't seem to care that I didn't enjoy my meal. All she did was rudely mumble "did you let your server know?" The one who already messed up our order? No I did not. She already was not concerned about the order she got wrong.

It was so delicious! The food is very well cooked, and there's lots of it. The diner has a very good atmosphere, and they are never understaffed. Also, WARNING the desserts are HUGE. I've heard good things about this place but we were very disappointed. There is a really strong musty smell as soon as you walk in, and was even stronger in the restrooms. We almost turned around and left but decided to give the food a try. Our server messed up one of our orders and we were overcharged due to this error. The food was highly disappointing. The turkey sausage was disgusting and the hashbrowns had no flavor. The pancakes were ok and the omelet my husband got was good despite not being correct. The water tasted like tap water and what I could see of a handwashing station looked grimy like it could use a scrubbing with a toothbrush. I hate to know what the rest of the kitchen looks like. The only positive was the bread was good .

Great chain restaurant for home cooked food! They have a huge assortment of layered cakes. This particular location gave us complimentary appetizers and had fast service. The chicken biscuits and gravy are tasty! All their breakfast foods are great! They have a book for a menu and so far everything we have tried was delicious!

Was amazing! Took my husband there for Father's Day. Not only did we expect a long wait but also assumed the service would be lousy due to the volume of business. We expected this no matter where we went with it being a holiday. It was the complete opposite! We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving and our order was out promptly as well. They were even clearing the tables quickly and preparing them for the next guest! WOW! Thank you for making our special day even more enjoyable. ☺
