Here you have all the reviews of people like you who are consuming the products and services of Another Broken Egg Cafe (Coffee Shop) in Alabama.
At present the firm has a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 578 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is very high, and it is based on a high number of reviews, so we may think that the evaluation is very credible. If many people have bothered to give their score when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This belongs to the category of Brunch restaurant.
I thought I had already reviewed this place. I loved it. The gluten free pancakes with that caramel sauce, delicious. Our waitress was very attentive, sensitive to my allergen needs, and accommodating. The Brazilian coffee was not for either of us. It's been a while now so I guess it's time to come back and jar my memory! Cute, colorful, quaint, bright. If you park in the back, you can walk through their back door, but they greet and seat in the front. You may have to wait for a table. I will put the name of our waitress if I see her again.
Food is excellent and the service is good. We have monthly business meetings here because of convenience and speediness of the food. It is slightly overpriced which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. Otherwise, I definitely recommend!
Great place to eat! Go early in the morning and get a seat outside over looking the river. Very peaceful especially when they leave the radio system turned off. Everything is good on their menu. Great place to enjoy breakfast with the family.
Interesting breakfast menu. It was tasty and service was great. Unfortunately the toilets were very grubby and dusty. It was like the sink and toilet was wiped down but everything was thick with dust and fingerprints. The floors were sticky and made shoes squeak. I'm not a germaphobe but it was a disappointment considering everything else was so nice
Really good food with delightful menu choices. A perfect location and interior is clean, fresh and inviting. Also one of the few open on a Sunday morning. The downside is the wait time. It seems there is not a good handle on turning tables. There are three to four wait staff hanging out at the reception desk at any one time. As our party sat waiting for an open table, and watching several groups exit during that time, it struck me that perhaps a few of those staff might be put to better use busing tables and reducing wait time.
Great food! And the servers are friendly!
Nice staff but way too slow, had to wait 30 minutes for two eggs and four slices of bacon. Kitchen staff didn't seem interested or working with a purpose...frequent breaks, eating and drinking in the kitchen while serving food to the public was a no go when I managed a restaurant. They can and have to do better.
Small location but the staff was incredibly friendly & attentive. After being seated we got our food in about 15-20 minutes & it was a packed house. Recommend 10/10 times.
We were a party of 3, only one of us received our food as ordered. Over medium eggs come to the table over hard, yoke completely paste. Biscuit comes as a muffin. Server not friendly or even pleasant. Haven't been back.
I could eat here every day!
Very delicious very good I'll definitely go back again
Fast. Friendly, quality food and services! Great variety of choices even for a vegan...!!! Wonderful bar including Bailey's and Bloody Mary. The most fantastic view of the UA canoeing team. One of Tuscaloosa's best treats for everyone!
Great service. Food was good.
The food and coffee was good as always, but the service was well below average. We were seated at 8:10 and ordered by 8:15. Our breakfasts were served (probably) around 8:30 or so which was good, but after that we never saw our waitress again. It was a business meeting so we really didn't start looking for her until a little after 9:00. We looked up every 3 to 4 minutes trying to spot our server. Finally at 9:25, we got the attention of a young lady who we thought we our server. When she turned to look at us and we realized that she wasn't our server, we said oops sorry, but we are trying to get our check so we can leave. She gave us the strangest "why are you talking to me look" and walked away, but did not tell our server we were looking for her. It wasn't until 9:35 when our server finally came to our table, by that time we were both very late for our next appointments. Not sure what was happening behind the scenes in the restaurant that morning, but it was more stressful than enjoyable meal for me.
Really good breakfast/lunch place. The staff is really nice.
This place was delicious! I had the chicken and waffles and it had a somewhat spicy sweet syrup mixture instead of just plain ole syrup. The food was wonderful. I would definitely go back if I lived closer!
So this another amazing visit to ABE, and this time I brought friends.! They loved it. We had amazing mimosas and great breakfast before heading to the track for Carb day! We decided to sit at the bar and have our meal and we had an amazing bartender. He was super knowledgeable and made our visit worth while.
Like going there for breakfast delicious omelets
Wonderful service and food. Just busy busy. May take a minute to get seated. Awesome omelets. Wish they stayed open after midnight.
Great atmosphere and amazing food!!! We live in Michigan and were on our way through from Kentucky and made a special stop here. Can't wait until next time.
First visit and I will definitely return. Best omlette, I've ever had. Staff was very accommodating to a large party, kept coffee full and were very nice. Fast, friendly and so good.
Always a great brunch place! The quality of food & service is consistent. Plenty of options that can catch your eye, even if you’re usually not too big on breakfast foods.
Not as impressed with this location as I am with the newer one in Fisher's. The presentation was so-so, and the taste matched. I also got a spiked coffee, and it was definitely not the same recipe. I think I'll stick to the other location from now on.
Grits had no taste Pancake was hard Sausage and eggs were cold My soda was never brought to me Seems like there was a shortage of staff therefore the entire process from ordering to paying was poor. Would not recommend unless they are not busy and are able to provide better servic . Gave 2 stars only because the hostess was somewhat attentive and meal was under $60 for 4 people.
Beautiful restaurant. We sat outside and it was really nice. Great food and service.
Beinets are awesome. Atmosphere is pleasant. Service is great.
Breakfast by the River A morning with a hearty delicious breakfast, refills to your coffee and sitting outside fresh air and quiet.. I real golden moment for any visit to Tuscaloosa if you are looking for a respite and a touch of nature. At 9 am sitting outside and in the shade while having breakfast was nice even in summer. Recommend ypu try
Amazing breakfast!!! Did you say Peach Bellini? Wanna come back!!!
Great breakfast place with an amazing view outside
Food was excellent, with lots of options. Calories are listed next to each item, which is helpful. Only taking off one star because service was rather slow when we went. Otherwise great!
Excellent service, loved my breakfast
Great gluten free options, staff was friendly and helpful
Foos is always AMAZING!! Service could be better. But, when food finally gets to the table...it's worth the wait!!
Great food and prices and service
I love this place. I'm from Gonzales but lived in BR for years. I currently live in Lake Charles and we dont have good restaurants like this for breakfast. I order everything I thought I might want lol it was amazing especially the shrimp and grits
Food is quite overpriced for brunch style food. The location is excellent though for the view, so it evens out.
My personal favorite place in T-town for great views, decent food and moderately affordable price. Ideal for bringing your date for brunch if you live near the campus. Weekends not recommended for lines.
The best place to go for breakfast. Usually there is a waiting if 30 to 45 mins if you are in a group. But if you are alone you may be lucky to get a chair by the bar. Food is delicious.
Great food, always crowded. Make reservations.
This was our first time at the broken egg and we were so impressed! The menu was full of delicious sounding food and somehow we finally decided on the blueberry bread French toast and an egg Benedict. Sooooo scrumptious!! Everything was cooked perfectly! We live over an hour away and my husband is already plotting to come back. The only downfall is we tragically forgot our leftovers. We'll be back again soon!
High! But good!
The food was amazing along with our server but from the moment my friend and I walked in the hostess wasn’t welcoming and was rude to my friends and I.
This place use to be good when they first opened. The staff has gone down hill since, every employee I’ve come into contact with seems to not want to be there. Food is usually on point, but I’ve stopped going here because the service is painfully subpar. Our last experience we were sat at a table outside and forgotten about for 10/15 mins, we ended up walking next door to river.
I didn't wanna go home. Food is AMAZING.
I've been to better locations. So I will not discredit the true taste of this restaurant. But I wasn't pleased with receiving a warm more on the cooler side meal. I was given eggs that weren't really fresh and it seen to be (1) egg. My French toast was ok, I enjoyed the grits. Overall I would not recommend this location.
They were very nice and fast service. The food was good and the atmosphere was relaxed.
Pricey but very good.
Unique spot. A definite yes to experience. My only critique would be to have your waitress ease up on the hard sell. And she never did bring my lemon even after being asked twice. Food and atmosphere really nice. Waitress was only a small blip.
The food is always delicious and the service great!
Didnt eat much. But the service was dope. Just had some fried potatoes. Good enough
Seating staff were bad, took almost 10 minutes for them to come and attend us. Food and waiters are great
The food was fairly good. I had the Eggs Benedict the ham that was on it was extremely salty and had to take it off to eat it. My husband had a waffle and eggs he said was alright. The service was a bunch of young girls that didn't seem to care if you were there or not. We had to keep asking for more coffee our drinks to be refilled, extra napkins. We probably wouldn't go back.
Top 5 omelette ever. Shrimp & Grits fantastic. Server very friendly.
Quality of food was not as we expected and fell below average. Usually I see this place packed on Saturday and Sundays' mornings and we wanted to check it out but I think it is over rated. Not sure if it was a one time issue or something else. We could have enjoyed our food for the same price or less somewhere else. Not going to recommend whether to visit or not till I try it one more time but I will wait till someone invites me to try it :) as I don't want to waster another $20-25 on breakfast that does not taste good.
Shrimp and Grits are excellent! Best I've had Period! I Can't wait to try other menu items.
Amazing food; always a long wait on the weekends (60+ mins) but once your seated the service is great and the food is worth the wait
I love this place. I always get the lobster and brie omelette with the city grits. It's something you have to taste. It is so good
Lobster and Brie Omelet is perfect. & service is absolutely superior!
I hate eggs. I will never eat here again. Place smells like sulfur.
Delicious food and fast/kind service
Have been enjoying going to Another Broken Egg on Perkins as the staff there is so friendly. Food is a bit more inconsistent, but I stick to the basics. I'm missing the little muffin basket they use to offer when first opened.
Amazing place for breakfast and brunch. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Also offers alcoholic beverages. The Smoked Salmon Benedict is amazing.
Delicious!!! Best mimosas and food in town. Had the shrimp and grits and it was Amazing
Good and fast service. Veggie option available and very kid friendly
Eclectic menu, with a great drink list. Charming atmosphere with the best service I’ve had in months by a young lady named Nici. Truly wonderful experience with my wife and mom. Thanks!
Good selection of creative breakfast or brunch foods. Good and fast service. Fresh juices. Definitely top end of brunch eateries.
Not very happy.. I placed a to go order and when I called to pick up they told me that they are close!! No one called me to let me know that they close so I never got my food.. not very happy. Very unprofessional
We Chose To Sit On The Patio That Over Looks The Black Warrior River. the Weather Was Awesome And Staff Was Very Friendly!! But Our Server AMIE Was Very Professional And Showed Us Great Hospitality!! Food Was BOMB And We Will Definitely Be Back!!
It was yummy and the staff was very friendly. My husband enjoyed the super tight pants all the servers wore... me not so much.
We came in during a very busy time and only waited 10mins. I told them it was my first time and they have me free items and explained the menu well.
Horrifying. I am both gluten and dairy free. I visited here for my first breakfast on a week long business trip. When I ordered I specifically requested gluten and dairy free options. Waiting 45 minutes for 2 scrambled eggs and pancakes, the server had brought me normal buttermilk pancakes. Just as I was finishing my meal a line cook comes with the ACTUAL pancakes I ordered. I felt exquisitely awful the entire week thanks to their incompetence.
Excellent food and service, priced fairly. Be prepared to wait as they are usually very busy. Try the Steel Cut Oatmeal — yum!
Food was great but our waitress forgot us. They weren't busy at all but we waited a long time for our food. We sat outside and the view was awesome. The food was great.
Great mimosas, love the French toast and beautiful scenery on the patio and pet friendly, one waiter brought out dog for our dog
This place always has really good food and service! Get here early-- there's always a wait... but it's for a good reason! ☺
Sis brought me here...It was cool but the food was average and they served burnt pancakes
Amazing resturaunt. Great am iance, friendly staff, and awesome menu selections. They have the normal breakfast fare, but all with a twist. The city grits are incredible, even if you are not a fan of grits. There can be a bit of a wait at times, but even when they are slammed I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for breakfast or brunch.
Food is phenomenal and the staff is extremely professional. Highly recommended!!
Great breakfast spot, traditional and unique choices. Excellent service, will come back often.
Absolutely delicious with so many options to choose from for a wonderful breakfast meal. Staff was very friendly and the ambience is warm and inviting
Love this place, my personal favorite breakfast spot. Get here early to beat the rush!
Great service. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Highly recommend the City grits.
They set us at the smallest table in place!!! service is very slow!!! terrible place recommend going somewhere else!!!
Haven't had a bad meal or bad service yet! Our waiter was Jared and he was a Handsome and pleasant young fella. My husband ordered the Bacquezo Omelette with grits, potatoes and an English muffin. He rated it a 10/10 and finished ALL of it. He also enjoyed his mango kiwis mimosa! I ordered an Earl Grey Tea along with the Lobster and Brie Omelette add mushrooms with grits and multigrain toast. Phenomenal! I couldn't finish my meal so I took it to go. If you are deciding on where to eat please don't hesitate to give them a try. I Promise you will LOVE it! ❤
Excellent choice. Eat outside on the river. Fantastic food and friendly staff.
Good brunch. Bloody Marys that aren't girly.
The food and customer service were good. A bit on the sweet side for my taste. But I would try some other plates for sure, to see what else they have to offer.
Amazing eggs will be back again!
Never let's me down. Food and service is very good.
Excellent food variety. Great coffee. Good ambiance and a nicely lit space. HOWEVER - I knock one star down because every time I want to eat here, there's a 2h wait, easily. Even if you use the NoWait app like they suggest, I've found myself waiting 40+ minutes AFTER the hour and a half NoWait "wait time". I usually plan on heading to the local farmer's market close to the restaurant, and do a 1h walk along the river... and I still end up waiting. While I get they're busy, I've waited a half hour inside the place while seeing, easily, 5 to 6 empty tables and nobody sitting people in them. I get that probably the kitchen is overwhelmed, but you guys could sit people when tables are available, let them know about the wait, and leave them with some coffee so they can at least sit and relax instead of keeping the entrance overwhelmed with people waiting. Other than that, food is excellent, service is great.
Best breakfast/brunch in Tuscaloosa!
Food was great, but service sub-par. The waitress bought us our tickets when we weren't finished. She grabbed my plate while I was eating, and then when I asked for a cranberry juice refill, she said to me "well, we usually charge for cranberry but I'll give it to you for free since you already have your ticket." I didn't ask for my ticket. I was more than willing to pay for a refill. The whole time, we just felt like we were being pushed out. I'd give it another chance, but not with her again.
The fried green tomatoes with crab cakes were delicious and the biscuit beignets were to die for!!!! I seriously could have made my entire breakfast of those beignets and would have been satisfied.
Unique restaurant with great service and excellent food and drink menu! The food was delicious!
My food was absolutely delicious! My first visit and I will definitely be back. I ordered the veggie omelette and added a banana pancake with fruit. The presentation was gorgeous and the taste was phenomenal. I was so pleased with my meal and my waitress Nicole was awesome. I'm new to the area and I think I found my new fav breakfast/brunch spot.
Good experience. Shelly was great.
Customer service is always superb! The food is fantastic! They aim to please!
A.B.E. provides a quaint relaxed dining experience. They menu offer diverse items to satisfy the pallet of all patrons.
Recently attempted dining here with my family for Sunday brunch and let's just say it was such a long wait that we ended up leaving after not being served our food for an hour. Not to mention we waited for 30-35 minutes to be seated prior to waiting. The manager barely said anything when we were getting up to leave and told us we were next in line back in the kitchen after we put our order an hour ago. Then just blankly stared and watched us walk out.??? We ended up going to Market District since they serve brunch past 2 pm. Not sure I'll be back. Customer service is everything - or should be these days.
The service was great--really friendly people. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. Dry omelette, chewy potatoes, etc. Nothing personal, but I probably wouldn't go back.
I really don't understand the hype of this place. The food sounds good when you read it off the menu but is very disappointing in real life. Service is ok. They seem to try real hard but the delivery is just ok.
Great service
Always hit or miss on service and food. WAY overpriced for what you get.
The coldbrew is great! Enjoyed my meal too.
Always delicious!
It was ok, my food was kind of cold. The potatoes were a bit old tasting, not fresh at all, but my over medium eggs were good.
The food was delicious and the staff was friendly!
Right on the River Walk and so delicious! I had the full on breakfast - bacon, eggs, grits, toast, juice, and some ahh-mazing coffee! I am definitely going back!
While everyone serving was very polite and respectful... One 6 inch pancake for $3 was a joke. Coffee wasn't that great. And my main dish came out like it had been sitting under a lamp for a while... Food was pretty good though.
I loved this place, it had amazing service, the staff was so kind, and gave us a free platter for being first time visitors
Great food and really nice staff.
This place was amazing with a warm and friendly staff. We plan to go back with alot of friends before we leave Baton R.ouge
The hostess was wonderful! She helped us sit and get the baby together with the high chair and the bags we had. The servers were great and they made us feel welcomed and the food was great. It was my first time, but it definitely won't be my last!
Great experience and wonderful food I will admit it did come to my table kind of cold, which is a bummer especially involving eggs! But I will definitely be returning due to the amazing drinks food and service just wish it came out hot not cold. It wasn’t even room temp it was just cold... like I said it’s worth a revisit despite that and I’m looking forward to bring family from out of town here to try it
My sister and I dropped in for brunch today. I had the two egg breakfast with a side of cheese grits and sweet ham. With one of their signature black cherry mimosas to drink. It was delicious and the view as well as our server were both lovely. We'll be back soon!
The service and atmosphere were excellent! The food was very tasty. All around a great place. I am looking forward to going back.
I have been here before and had a great experience, which is why I came back. However, I will not return. Our waitress was so rude and gave us smirks when we wanted to add/take away from a dish. I got gluten free avocado toast and it was awful. The bread tasted stale and the avocado was smeared on like it was butter. So thin. It was also brown, avocado is green!!! I had to return it and ask for something else. I am never one to not like my dish at a restaurant. There was also a large grasshopper on the ceiling so we told the waiter and her response was 'well our door is closed'. That is not how you should treat your customers.
Well I went to get some breakfast and I can say I was not disappointed. The waitress from the bar took my order, she was very nice and always made sure my coffee was topped off. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast with scrambled eggs with veggies. The eggs were very good, the bacon was thick and crispy and the French toast was amazing with just amount of sweetness and fruits. The coffee was good as well.
Asia took good care of us, and the food was great!
My wife and I ate here on a Tuesday morning. When we initially walked in, there was no host or hostess to greet, so I was expecting a bad experience. After about 2 minutes we were greeted by a friendly server, who seated us and got our beverages immediately. We were given an order of complimentary Biscuit Beignets, since this was our first visit there. I ordered the sweet potato pancakes and my wife ordered the Irish cream pancakes. The food was delicious and the portions are generous. The service was also very good. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
Great service a little pricey
Good breakfast spot..great service
More than delicious!
Good breakfast food, great service! A little expensive.
Outside deck is lovely. Food is great. Mimosas are yummy
Great food! Fast, friendly service. First-time patrons receive a complimentary half order of biscuit beignets.
We had a party of 6, From Kokomo, 1st time visiting! Our waitress Hailey was Awesome, Hospitality was Good & Our Breakfast was Delicious! & Thank you to the Manager! We will be back!
Stopped in for a quick brunch. Food is innovative and delicious .A bit pricey for some items but very reasonable overall.
Very good breakfast!
excellent food and service. Grits were out of this world......
Excellent food and specialty drinks. Prices reasonable. Staff attentive to their patrons. Good place for brunch!
Very good fokd and great service and management
Did the Sunday brunch. It was excellent! It's pretty popular so there was a 30 minute wait. We ate at the bar to avoid the wait. The bartender, Daniel, was great! Definitely go back!
By far the best place to eat in Baton Rouge.
Food was ok. Service was very slow. Took us nearly 45 minutes to get our check, as people waited in line for a table. Lots of employees standing around hostess/carryout counter. In other words, it is ran terribly inefficient. Also, they were out of breakfast potatoes and were subbing tater tots.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, terrific service!
Loved everything but the price. I'd come again, but only if I was feeling rich that day. $50 for breakfast?
Great atmosphere, better food. Must try for breakfast.
Great breakfast, but even better service - they really like to know their guests and take care of them.
Bacon was overcooked & tasted awful Waitress did not bring more coffee, after I asked her for more. Hostess brought us more coffee.
Food is great service is a little slow.
The food is very good and menu is thoughtful towards those with food sensitivity. Will definitely return
I love bringing my freshman daughter here for brunch when we visit!
Have been to the location in Destin dozens of times, but this was our first trip to Tuscaloosa. Food is always great, the service very attentive, and you always have leftovers for later.
Sat for an hour and a half before getting our food. Food was cold. The front house was very understaffed.
My wife and I didn't get to try the food. We were asked if a 30 minute wait was OK when we arrived. That was absolutely no problem for a Sunday morning. The problem was that we watched two white couples walk in, give their name and phone number, and a be seated before we were. We decided to leave. I will say that I have been to other Another Broken Egg establishments. The hostess really ruined the experience. She didn't greet us as we walked in, but did greet the other two families. We stood at the counter when we walked in, but I had to address her for her to even take our name and phone number. I may visit other locations, but I will not revisit this one.
Great service and atmosphere. There is a gluten free menu with a variety of pancake flavors.
Good food and good atmosphere. A bit on the pricey side.
Great breakfast food! I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was amazing!
Food and service was great.
Food is good. Service was horrible. Server did not turn in our order correctly. We waited a half hour. She never came to our table to refill coffee and tea. When we stopped her and asked about our food she copped an attitude. Finally manager came to the table said server didn't put order in. But now they did send it in. Neither manager not server apologized. It took about an hour. Not sure I would go back.
Incredible had multiple different items and everything was excellent
Great Food Excellent Service!!!
I had the very tasty eggs Benedict. Be sure to arrive early or be expected to wait up to 45 minutes. This place gets extremely crowded. I had an Irish coffee that wasn't overpowering. Expect to be here for an hour or so. This was my first time there so I was really excited. If you love breakfast foods, this place has you covered. Their biscuits tasted like my grandmother's. A Baton Rouge staple not to be missed.
This was my first time here. I enjoyed myself. The customer service was great. Heather was great.
Good food, but WAYYY too much hype. You can barely park. And I personally can get this quality of breakfast ANYWHERE.
This was my first time to Another Broken Egg. I totally enjoyed my visit! The service was great, the food great, and the environment great! I am definitely going to return soon!
Good food i guess
One of my favorite brunch spots. In fact, I stop in every now and then just to enjor an ABE Bloody Mary. Did you know they sell their bloody Mary mix? Well they do... but nothing beats one made there from their pepper infused vodka. The food is always good, no matter what I order and I have never been disappointed with my service.
Food super good
Everything is delicious, even the healthy stuff. Quinoa bowl is great, I always have a little of my wife's. I love all the eggs Benedict options and shrimp and grits. Their bacon and fresh tomatoes adds so much to everything. Also very kid friendly for brunch, although it gets a little loud during lunch for our sanity keeping up with our kids.
First time here and I will definitely will be going back!
Friendly employees and delicious food! Great combination!
Today I placed an order through Waiter for fried green tomatoes and crab cakes, plus a gluten free pancake, with chicken tenders. Almost the exact same thing I ordered two days ago, except two days ago I added an additional pancake. I received everything on my order except for my orange juice. When I realized I called and the bartender told me I could come back and get it. However I had an appointment and the restaurant closes at 2 pm so I wasn't able to go back. Today I didnt received my gluten free pancake. I called and the bartender told me they were going to call me to tell me I don't get the pancake because I didn't pay for it. This is the same bartender who i just received my order from and the same bartender who just read my order back to me. I explained to her there is NO additional cost for the gluten free pancake on the Waiter app, so I shouldn't be penalized for an error on the part of Waiter and the restaurant. Because I am sure I am not the first person who has brought this to their attention. She wanted to transfer me to someone else, I told her not to bother I'll call Waiter. The manager who was on duty told the Waiter representative the same thing even though the rep was looking at my receipt and understood it as a part of the order. I work in customer service and sometimes you're right and sometimes you're wrong, and in this case Another Broken Egg was definitely wrong. Too bad the manager on 2.6.2019 decided to use poor judgment on this simple customer service issue, for what would equate to be a $2 pancake. This is the worst service I have ever received from a restaurant. I will never recommend or step foot in this restaurant ever again. And lucky for you I was headed out of town and didnt realize the mistake soon, because I would have most certainly brought back the entire order and request a full refund. It's not about the money, it's the principle.
Family breakfast and it was amazing and the Apple Pie Mamosa is the best.
Visited that place last weekend during breakfast hours. It was the second time having breakfast there. First time I was very happy with the food, drinks and service. Service still very good and friendly. But this time it was very disappointing when the service told us that they got rid of the espresso machine and now they can not serve any italien style coffee any more. On top due to the missing milk foam there is no hot chocolate any more and that was a real treat for the kids. So I am not sure if I will come again. A good coffee is a must for a perfect breakfast....
my mom.loves their Lobster and Bree omelette! has to.gonthere everytime she visits
Very friendly and great place
Great food and great service! We always checkin on Yelp prior to arriving, and are seated as soon as we walk in.
The food is ok. Just no wow factor.
These hostesses are a new kind of incompetent. There are three at the stand at any given time, yet only one does any actual work. When they tell you there’s a wait, they just smile at you in a vague manner without taking your name or number. When it inevitably becomes too much for them to remember, they fail to put people on the actual wait list in the order they came in. When it comes time to call someone for their table, they all clump together at the stand while one person whispers the guest’s name. I seriously think they might all be high. Edit: Servers and food are outstanding and delicious, though! The hostesses need some refresher training.
Great food and service!
Awesome Food And The Apple juice Is Slammin Mmmmm Delicious And I'm Definitely Coming Back!
The best vegan omelette I have ever had.
Been to this establishment only a handful of times and each time has been great. This place can be a little overwhelming with the amount of people and wait times but can be worth it if you stick it out. The food is good and probably one of the best breakfast places here.
Great service and great food!
Yummy food, nice employees
It was so refreshing to visit a place you can go eat and have the service, and the quality of the service being checked and checked again, the food was excellent This is a place I will definitely visit again.
My sister ordered my food while in the restaurant and when she brought it home it was wrong. My biscuit was broken into pieces so I couldn’t even attempt to make the breakfast sandwich I ordered at home. Was missing a key part of the sandwich. It was a mess
Didn’t like the lobster omelette that I ordered. I sent it back and they were very accommodating. Tried the blueberry French toast and it was very good!
Early morning around 715 is the perfect time to go here because it's not crowded yet and the service is fast. One of the omelets is always a solid choice.
Absolutely good food & customer! I will be back again & again!
Food was fast and very good. Server must have been having some sort of problem. Late to table. Not friendly and only checked on us once and apologized for doing so? Very mediocre service with no smiles. If you need to go - go home!
The food is just okay, I used to love this place but the last few times we went it just wasn't that good.
It had good food. I really don't like the location.
Food was great and if not for our server this place would have received 5 stars. No pancakes included and had to wait longer for them. Didn't provide butter for English muffins and had to flag him down for some. No syrup for pancakes and had to flag him down again. He seemed like a fish out of water, clueless about providing good service.
Not impressed with service or the food.
Loved it! Even though it was crowded on a typical Sunday morning, the service was still very good! I ordered a veggie omelette and a lemon blueberry pancake, both of which were fantastic. I also got a mimosas pitcher, which was a little pricy for the amount of drink, but still worth it. One negative thing though: the grits had no flavor. Maybe it was just the batch that I had, but they were watery and flavorless. Other than the grits that I had as a side dish, I loved brunching there!
The City Grits are amazing!!! Get them if you can. Overall the food is pretty good, some things are better than others of course.
The food was really good and I would eat here everyday if I could!
This is my favorite restaurant to get brunch here in Indy. Their food is flavorful and tasty. My parents also loved it. This is not a great place if you are on a diet. It is excellent if you want southern comfort food.
Excellent service, excellent food. Had a very important meeting and the staff was tremendous.
Wonderful food and atmosphere!
Beautiful and friendly staff. Great food! Good portions.
Great food, drinks, and service. Recommend visiting if you’re in the area. Our server Asia did an incredible job putting up with our group of 8. Nothing but smiles.
All our meals were excellent as well as the service - best dining experience of the year for me
The eggs, susage & waffle were tasty. but arrived tepid. I enjoy hot food served hot hot at room temperature.
Loved the New Orleans flair and enjoyed our delicious food!
Food was good, the wait staff was exceptional.
I love it. Good new Orleans home cooked meals. Good seasoning. Big portions. Polite staff which is rare in this day and age.
Fantastic eatery over looking the river.
A bit pricey but delicious
Just enjoyed another amazing breakfast at Another Broken Egg in Tuscaloosa. This is a must every time we are in town visit our son at the University of Alabama - Roll Tide! Enjoyed the lovely patio overlooking the Black Warrior River... food is simply amazing every single time. Service - top notch. Jenna T served me today and couldn't be more accommodating, great recommendations on food, and on top of anything I needed. Will be back for sure!!
We did not have a positive experience here. It was our first time and we won't be back.
Very good. A little heavy but that could have been me wanting to eat everything in front of me. Quick turnaround from ordering to food at the table. Will be back.
Awesome breakfast, and great service! We had the Lobster Brie Omlet, and the Crab Cake Benedict. The mimosas were delicious, as was the food! Highly recommended.
Staff was very kind and helpful, but the food was not up to par and priced on the high side.
Great breakfast place. Sausage was little on the spicy side but was excellent. ALWAYS GET THE BEGINETS!
Great and very filling dining experience. We had to wait, though, for 30 minutes and apparently were passed over on waiting list, despite responding as soon as we got the confirmation text.
Good food and excellent service. A slight adjustment to seasoning and a little more attention to detail would get five stars.
Fantastic variety of everything from a traditional breakfast to high end modern versions of breakfast. Everything is well prepared.
First time their it was awesome very friendly environment
Service was good and fairly quick. The food was good. Not a fan of the scrambled eggs but all the other food yummy.
Great food and service. Fresh and flavorful!
Great good!! Getting a little pricey though! And pay attention to the temps! There have been many times where I have to eat with a Winter jacket on!
Second time coming here. I got the biscuits and gravy this time. The gravy was good, one biscuit was better then the other. The other was hard as a rock and couldn't even be finished. Luckily I was full. The rest of the food was okay, but no setting I would get again. Our waiter was good and on top of things though. I'll probably go back and try something else. It's just right around the corner from me.
Our server, Shai was outstanding!!! She is very good at what she does, awesome customer service experience. Great service and thank you Becky for coming by and showing awesome customer service from a manager.
Very cute cafe. Sit in dining. Waitress was great and so was the food!
Incredible service, great food and a bar all within a quaint little breakfast diner. I can't believe I just discovered this place. As a first time customer they made me feel wonderful!
Absolutely phenomenal food great place to go we're not from the area and the name we were kind of leery on but the food and the staff were wonderful!
Horrible service. My food took 45 minutes to come out and the waitress never stopped by the table to check on us or update us on our food. When I got my pancakes one of them were not cooked all the way thru and my husband's bacon was hard to chew. I would not eat here again. I'm only giving them 2 stars because the manager came over to talk to us after I complained. She offered us a coupon for free biscuits or something. I gave it to a lady with kids because I knew I'd never use it.
Great selection and service. Ingredients are fresh, choices are varied and the staff is very friendly.
Amazing food and atmosphere
Great food but my favorite has been removed from the menu!
Great food..service and management
Small selection of food done well. Lots of southern seafood twists on breakfast classics. Breakfast bar has unique alcoholic creations.
Best thing that happened to me during the ice storm is I went here for breakfast. My daughter and I had one of the best breakfasts in recent memories. Their country gravy has just the right twist of pepper and the eggs cooked exactly to order. The price is right for the portion and quality. Service was also great. Glad I went their. Even got a military discount.
Their lobster and brie omelette is amazing and I've never had a better mimosa than their black cherry mimosa. Staff is more helpful in the early hours.
I am the president for a UA alumni group. Over the past few months we have been working with the restaurant to schedule a brunch meeting. We confirmed the reservation one week ago with management. Upon arriving an hour early this morning I was handed off to a manager (red headed guy) who bled incompetence before he even opened his mouth. His first words were “I don’t know...”. After I made the situation clear and showed him the email we used to confirm, his response was “We must not have written it down.” He did propose a solution to provide us an area that would not accommodate our numbers with no telling how long of a wait which was not a solution at all. Sheer incompetence. Luckily, Legends restaurant at Hotel Capstone accommodated us short notice.
Great staff, great food! Lacy was awesome this morning!
This is a great place. You must try their Belgian waffles!
Food was ok, lacked flavour... good service
The food was excellent! Service, not as timley as I expected. Considering there were not many customers. We, myself and a friend,we're the only customers in out waitress section for a while and when other customers did arrive, with larger parties, they all received their food before we did. But overall the food was great!!!
Food and service was good. Professional and courteous staff. Waitress made sure that we were comfortable and that our needs were being met.
I absolutely love it! Great service and great food! As a first time customer I even got a free half order of their biscuit beignets which were awesome. They have an unorthodox menu with a ton of atypical breakfast fair as well as the classics, because who can pass up some good ol'fashion biscuits and gravy. Will definitely be back soon, and many times after!
Amzing food! Great service! Private room was a little loud even with the doors closed. But all in all a GOOD Experience...
Our visit was a couple days after UA graduation, so I suppose you have to take that into account, but they were out of two items my wife ordered: crab cakes and champagne (for a mimosa). My lobster and brie omelet was decent, but not as hot as I would have liked. Maybe it sat a little too long after it was plated? You'd have to look hard to find much lobster in it too. Waitress was friendly and apologetic about the items that had run out. For a place that wasn't so busy, it could have been a little cleaner. Overall, it was OK but not a definite "go-to" place to frequent.
Well that concept is really cool. The food was average. Our server was average at best and to follow up that performance. When my wife asked for a to go cup of coffee and she brought her an empty cup. That's said the food was really ok but it was way over priced. One glass of orange juice was $4.00. Over all the concept is cool but the service was awful and pricing is to high.
A great find. Pitcher mimosas and bloody Mary's. More and different choices of very good food.
Wonderful! Wonderfully unique menu items in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Even traditional items have been given a twist of new life that warrants that you give it a taste!
BEST place for breakfast or brunch. Treated us like we were family from the moment we walked in. It's like they don't meet strangers. Sally is the most awesome waitress, although every waitress was wonderful and attentive. Georgette was an awesome hostess. The manager even made rounds to the tables.
Great breakfast and brunch food. Consistent quality. Always enjoy our time there
This cafe has a fantastic gluten free menu. My pancakes tasted great. You also get a nice view of the river while you eat. I would definitely eat here again.
Had to wait for a while for an outside table. Need to have a time limit for outside seating. We had came and gone people haven't moved. Nice view of river.
Unfortunately, I’m not quite sure if I want to come back after today’s experience. First off, this restaurant is a dog friendly establishment. They allow people to bring their dogs to sit outside on their lovely back patio. I have brought my dog here a few times and have never had an issue with signing in for the reservation. We typically come here for brunch over the weekends and really enjoy the outside atmosphere. Well, today when I walked through the door with my dog, the hostess was incredibly rude to us. Our initial encounter was her panicking because the dog was inside. Mind you, the dog wasn’t roaming the entire restaurant. He was standing 5 feet from the door for a total of a few minutes. She seemed a bit overwhelmed already and was complaining to the other hostesses that there was a dog inside and she was having to deal with that. I’m sorry, but if you can’t handle a hostess position at a restaurant, then you’re probably not going to make it very far in life... She made it seem like it was the end of the world because my dog was standing in front of the hostess stand. Again, we were nowhere near people’s tables or food.... Let me just make a point here, if you’re going to be a dog friendly establishment then every employee needs to be thoroughly trained on how to act towards costumers who come in with their dogs...or just don’t be dog friendly. Easy as that. At the end of the day, my dog wasn’t the problem. It was a hostess who doesn’t understand how to do her job. She made me feel unwelcome just because I had a dog. We ended up going to Five restaurant downtown and guess what? They greeted me and my pup with warm smiles and great food! Even brought out a dog bowl full of fresh water for him! Now that’s how it’s supposed to be done. Do better Another Broken Egg!
Favorite breakfast place of all time. Delicious food and great service boozy coffee and drinks to get your morning off to a nice toasty start. The atmosphere and courteous waitresses make it an inviting place for an upscale breakfast.
Great service. Friendly vibes and wonderful atmosphere. The shrimp and grits were amazing!!
Great place for breakfast and lunch with great service
Great place for breakfast overlooking the River on this beautiful fall morning! The food was wonderful! Thanks for a very pleasing dinning experience!
Excellent service and flavorful food
Home made sausage wasn't that good too spicy maybe stick to America but great food.
Excellent breakfast. We
Great place for breakfast or brunch. Get there early or you will have to wait, but stay it is worth it.
Great brunch selections and of course the Black Cherry Mimosas are delicious..
The only reason why I'm even giving 2 stars is because the food was pretty good. BUT the service absolutely sucked, and it was very pricey. If I'm paying $40+ for food, I expect to see my waitress at least twice. I sat with an empty drink for almost the entirety of my meal, and eventually had to flag down someone else to get me a drink. Our waitress, Jenna, took forever to even bring out the menus. And after 20 minutes of waiting, she eventually remember to run my card and bring our receipt. The place was not busy at all, but our experience was terrible. Do not recommend unless you like over priced food and wasting 2 hours of your life.
Probably the best breakfast I’ve had in Tuscaloosa, but it can get crowded and then take foreverrrrr to get your food.
I loved the atmosphere. Great waiter, he was very helpful. The food was outstanding! Good job guys.
Great breakfast choices. They have GF pancakes too. Would definitely go back again.
Great food and drinks. Prefect place for brunch.
AMAZING RESTAURANT. Went with a group of coworkers. Everyone loved their food and was pleased that they were able to seat us in the private room.
Great food and great service
The shrimp and grits oh my goodness so delicious. The people are very friendly and the service is great to don't have to wait long at all for your food
Had a nice brunch experience. Service was friendly and prompt and the seats by the river on their balcony was very relaxing. However the food was only satisfactory and the overall feel of the menu gave the impression that everything had been over-engineered by marketing. I personally prefer simple things done well but this place is more of a complicated things done so-so. Would still go there to enjoy a meal but isn't top of my list.
Nice pll
Food was ok but the service was great
The food here is amazing and the staff are awesome! Expect a decent crowd Sunday mornings after church lets out, it gets pretty busy starting around 930-10am.
It was a long wait, but well worth it!
Was greeted as soon as we came in. Restaurant was very busy. Was able to be seated in under 5 minutes. The menu items were a little pricey for breakfast at first glance. Quality of the food was very good. Food was hot and decent portions. Appeared to be many business groups meeting there at the time we were in the restaurant
FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. Staff was courteous
Best French toast in all the land!
I love their food here and they have a ton of great drinks too!
This location is the best! Portions are large. Priced fairly. Staff is friendly, attentive, and fast. Shrimp n Grits are are among the best I’ve had. The Cinnamon Roll French Toast dish will put you in a sugar coma, but it’s worth it. The Floridian Omelette is very good, very big and full of fresh ingredients, especially lump crab. This is a great place to enjoy a meal, and mimosa or cocktail after a long nights work.
The shrimp and grits are bomb!!
Man they're Awesome
Loved this place. Dropped in while visiting in the Indy area and my wife and I were very pleased. It was noon when we got there, but I had breakfast while my wife had lunch. I asked for blueberries to be added to my Belgian waffles and they were very amenable. I added their house patty sausage and a side and really enjoyed it. My wife had the Nellie's chicken sandwich; had avocado and lots of things she likes. Was more than she could finish. The staff was very friendly and didn't act rushed. We'd go back often if we lived here.
Excellent food and service!
Can't say enough good about this restaurant! Staff was very friendly and food was eggcellant!
The food is so Yummy! Lots of choices and really good scones. I love the mismatched China and the service and atmosphere is great.
Great food and setting on the balcony overlooking the river was great! The crab cakes eggs Benedict were the best outside of Baltimore and the candied bacon French toast was sinful.
Amazing food and service
First time ever at Another Broken Egg. I work in IT and I was not able to connect to the internet no matter what I did. Found cardboard in my meal, so they gave it to me for free. It tasted fine and I waitress was good.
I believe I was here on other business, don't recall eating here, I've heard they're pretty good though
Omg I love the new Orleans theme... it is to die for
Delicious brunch site
Food is delicious love to treat myself to this place occasionally .
The service was great, the food was exceptional. Shrimp and grits with a little kick, yum. Great experience here for it being my first time.
Very tasty, with a nice view of the river highly reccomend for brunch or breakfeast. Huge variety of items on their menu from waffles and pancakes to omelets and sandwhiches.
The Floridian omelet is unique and awesome!
Great food, really fast/friendly service. Shainekia was our server and she is one of the best waitresses we've had in Baton Rouge.
Incredible selection, something for every taste. A little more pricey the most breakfast places but great service, clean, atmosphere, and indoor or on the river dining make up for it. I will definitely be going back again
Best brunch place around and worth the money!
Got the chicken & waffles. Very good. The chicken was cut almost bite size and had an unusual smooth batter with a hint of spice. There was a chipotle syrup I didn't expect, but I liked the spicy little kick it gave. I drizzled it on under the regular syrup. The coffee & service were excellent, too. It was a very enjoyable experience. It was my first time there & I was treating my sister. We both left very satisfied with the chicken & waffles.
The crab cakes are very good and crumble
Great quality breakfast
Great tasting food and a huge drink menu
The food was excellent and our waiter was so awesome! However, I am only giving 4 stars due to the wait. The staff said it would be a 30 minute wait. This was fine as it was a Sunday morning and fairly crowded. We gave our number and waited for a notification. It was well over thirty minutes before we got a text. When we got inside the couple that came in after us were not only seated, but had already gotten their food. We looked around, and several people (2 person parties) had been seated that arrived after us. We will definitely go again, but hope to have a better wait time experience.
This is our niece's favorite stop for brunch so we had to try it when visiting her at UA. It was as good as she said it would be! Two of us had brunch and the other two had sandwiches and all the food was hot and delicious! The waitress couldn't have been any better and the service was great. So many yummy choices on the menu that it's hard to pick just one!
I had the lobster and Brie omelet. Was so delicious!
I ordered for take out. Service was still friendly and excellent. Bacon and cream omelette with chiorzo. Absolutely delicious. Comfortable atmosphere in full service bar. Next time I will dine in
Food was cold, coffee came out with the food, hash browns were burnt ends of the potatoes and about a 1/4 cup at most. Hostess was terrible but our server was sweet. Won't be back. Spend your money in locally owned restaurants.
Food and service were great... but atmosphere was a bit off putting... not what i expected when thinking of Broken Egg cafe. Not sure if they had a mad rush and it was just dirty and messy for this visit or if it is the norm for them. Not at all like the one in Mandeville/Covington. The food was good though and the service great.
Had the Blackstone eggs Benedict with city grits. Meal was prepared well and the taste was great. Wish you got a bit more cause it was so good.
Service was great, the food was not. The shrimp and grits were sub-par. The ommette was dry. The fruit was fresh and ripe.
I'll definitely be back in a couple of weeks when my schedule slows.I love this location right on the river walk. A great place to come and walk with the ladies and then go for brunch. The food was quick, hot and good. Our waitress was attentive to us and we never needed anything for long we have eaten at other locations and I think this is the best one. Thank you
Best food iv ever had hands down . I'd recommend the louisiana skillet .
Love this place Beautiful views, good breakfast and good service Outside is the only way. The AC inside is set so low, we instantly start freezing Everytime. If outside had a long wait we would go somewhere else just because of that...
Best breakfast by far I've had! Everything is fresh and chef comes out and checks on every table individually to see how the food was!!
Staff was super attentive. Food was delish. Manager engaged in conversation with us & made it a personal experience. They let us sample the city grits, they were so yummy! French toast is always my favorite!
Food is decent. They tout themselves as southern breakfast with a twist, but also offer traditional fare. I had the eggs benedict. Kids had waffles and pancakes. Husband had biscuits and gravy. Prices are a bit high for breakfast. Service was mediocre but the server also seemed less experienced and new to the restaurant.
My sister and I are from Texas and we came to Louisiana for a family emergency. We came to Another Broken Egg for breakfast and we ordered our food when we received the phone call that our grandmother had passed away. We had to cancel our order and the waiter that we had, his name is Patrick by the way. Was awesome, this is by far the best place and best people. I would highly recommend this place to eat.
Very delightful atmosphere, and the service was very helpful. The food was delicious and plenty. The menu has alot to choose from. Definently will be coming back!
Great food friendly staff
Great menu. Good variety. All tasty with excellent service
Best brunch place in t-town. It's a little pricey, but the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is amazing, especially if you eat on the porch outside so you can get a view of the river while enjoying your meal.
Was expecting great things from this tiny breakfast spot. I was disappointed. It kind of smelled like dirty mop water. The service was slow. The food quality was mediocre at best. I probably will not return.
The chile-quiles were absolutely amazing. The chorizo sauce was a bit runny so I would recommend ordering this with a side of toast or a biscuit if you want to get every last drop. The beans with goat cheese were a perfect side pairing for this dish. Excellent meal.
Great food, but pricey. My wife and I ended up paying approximately $30 for breakfast for two. On the plus side though the staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is just about perfect. Best grits I've had since my mom used to make them.
Service is good and food is very consistent. Friendly staff and management.
Lovely service. The staff was very friendly and my daughter loves the complimentary yogurt.
Minus the wait, this place is perfect. Great food, great staff, great location.
The food was just amazing and the waitress was excellent
I love this restaurant!!! Food is delicious, the staff is very attentive and the environment is comfortable either inside or outside. Recommended 100%
Service quality can diminish albeit slightly when they are very busy, the only reason for 4 stars. Other then that the taste, environment and quality of service has been standard for all of the years I have spent at eating at the establishment.
Mannnnnn let me tell y'all about these city grits and shrimp and grits. I promise they will make your entire life better. Emma and Taylor are the bomb with a twist of cute.... thanks girls
Salmon bowl was on point. The restaurant was packed and we had a large group. The manager came and checked on us multiple times to let us know they were getting our tables together. I've never seen a manager come to take care of a large family at any restaurant b4 we were seated. Phenomenal customer service.
Great atmosphere
Quality service cleanliness courtesy pricing is acceptable for this area they actually know what over hard on eggs is
I really enjoyed my food after it had to be taken back because I bit into a sausage. I got the Louisiana Crawfish bowl with no sausage (I'm a pescaterian). If I wasn't already partaking in my very delicious strawberry mimosa, I probably would've requested the check right there and left. I would definitely try this place out again, but hopefully next time they won't traumatize me with the yuck taste of meat.
1st time great food, great scenery great taste
The chicken and waffles are my favorite! Service is always excellent!
This is a great restaurant chain, and this location is no exception. I am not sure how long the restaurant has been there, but it seems like it is always packed with people. The wait for it can be 2 and a half to 3 hours I have heard from some people, but they do use the Nowait app, so it makes it easier for you get there when the table is ready.
Good service, excellent food. I highly recommend their City Grits. Their coffee left something to be desired, but was by no means bad. Go earlier for better service; they close at 2 so after about 1pm the staff becomes busier with side work for close.
Really disappointing. I had a very simple meal. Scrambled eggs, ham, and one buttermilk pancake. Not sure what they cook the eggs in, but they had a weird flavor, like either coconut oil or some kind of artificial butter flavor cooking oil.. I really just wanted eggs. Not some kind of artificial weird flavored eggs. The pancake was truly like cardboard. When you think buttermilk pancakes, don't you think fluffy? It was about 1/8" thick. I picked it up off my plate and it retained it's shape. I could've thrown it like a frisbee. It was flavorless. I pictured a nice warm fluffy pancake with melting whipped butter on top. I got a thin, stiff, dry thing with nothing on top. I asked for butter and the waitress brought some of those cold, hard butter packs. No way it was going to melt on that pancake. The ham was ok in flavor, but also thin and rather dry.
Had the Huevos Ranchos with Chorizo - hatch green chilies and black beans topped with over easy eggs for the added indulgence. One of my favorite breakfast experiences. Great coffee or feeling more adventurous the Bloody Mary's & Mimosa ' s that are a great brunch addition. Sat at Bar and received excellent service.
Great food and service
Perfect place for breakfast! Been there several times with my friends and they all enjoyed it so much! Nice staff and wonderful food!
Food is tasy. Serve is good but veiws are awesome.
Good place for breakfast/brunch, though the wait is usually 30-45 minutes on weekends.
Wow! Our server recommended the shrimp and andouille over city grits - something I never would have chosen, and it was sooo good. Omlettes were awesome and waffles looked great.
Added a little variety to my taste buds with this amazing creole dishes
A little loud inside for my personal taste, and there was a 45 minute wait. But all in all, the food was REALLY good. I had the crawfish skillet with onions, and potatoes, etc and it was great. Really loved the andouie sausage.
Great service and great food
Ordered oatmeal..thick and very dri. server said they are cooking without adding water. Didn't know that was possible??
Food was excellent... might be a good idea to call ahead beforehand, the wait was pretty long.
I appreciate that the staff was extremely conscious of my fatal egg and peanut allergies. They accommodated me well and the food was delicious!
Visited for the first time with my daughter on Saturday, June 24. We had an excellent experience and will definitely be back! Our server was fantastic & very knowledgeable about the menu, pointing out some of her favorite things & the most popular items. My daughter had the crab cake benedict and I had the biscuits and gravy. The portion sizes were large & the food was delicious. And of course, the free order of beignets they give for first-timers was a pleasant & unexpected delight. The manager, Jay, surprised me with the envelope towards the end of the meal that I got for being a first-timer. I'm excited to see what's in it, because I now need to visit with my husband & son, who I think will love Another Broken Egg Cafe just as much as my daughter & I did.
Excellent service, kind staff, tasty breakfast... Very accommodating! We love this place!
Slow service and greasy food. Price was way too high for the poor service when they weren't busy.
Food was ok...service could use some improvement.....cook needs to be instructed on the difference between over easy and over medium.
I love there Cajun take on breakfast and brunch! Great servers as well.
Love the Bananas Foster pancakes & smoked salmon eggs Benedict
So darn good
Service was excellent and food tasted great. Could not have done anything better. I saw what I believed to be the manager train on the spot while I was getting checked on, his focus on service is a lost art among many restaurants today. All the servers seemed to be very friendly and even better appear to be happy with their job. My server was Brandon and he was super helpful and attentive. Very highly recommend.
Excellent food and service. One of my favorite brunch places. Never disappointed here.
Great Food. Reasonable prices. I had the Lobster and Brie Omelet with Champagne Butter Sauce... Yummy!
Food Great... Service???Hello anyone there? Was excited to eat here based on the reviews as well as not having this chain in Minnesota. Unfortunately my experience was not what I anticipated. To start off the service was nonexistent. We were escorted to our seats and then waited 10 minutes for someone to come over with menus and take our drink order. Ok your thinking they were busy....nope we were one of four tables. I think the bus boy may have been the one who finally took our order because I never saw him again. About 15 minutes later our food was delivered by whom I believe was the manager based on her apologies for the delays. On a positive note the food was great. After completing our meal we then waited for over 10 minutes and had to finally ask the manager for our bill since she was the only one we saw working. As a token of kindness she comped the $3 app.
The wait staff "Jess" was great, Dave the bartender was amazing, the food was outstanding, Miles was the best and the only reason I am making this a 3. Unfortunately, Jay the "manager" is possibly the worst employee I have ever come in contact with. As a small business owner I would never allow this person work with my customers. Not only is he inept with handling restaurant traffic, he is rude and will never understand customer service. He told us he was the "owner" and could leave if we didn't like the way he handled "his" restaurant. Three or four employees apologized afterwards for his behavior and lack of candor. That's embarrassing for your restaurant, yet shows the integrity of the rest of your team. I will come back, only because of their actions and words. If I see him when I walk in with my family, we will certainly leave. Please take action.
I love this place. I'm glad the chain has spread to serval states. I used to only be able to enjoy in on vacation to Florida.
Excellent, very friendly service...food was delicious.
Always a lot of delicious food
I've had breakfast here several times, including once with SEVERAL toddlers. Always a pleasant experience. Wait staff is always SUPER nice, food is pretty quick and tasty, and despite the name, they have a pretty diverse menu. Plus, it's a good location--plenty of parking, near the river and farmers' market, etc.
My dad and I loved this place, but now it’s WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!
Well worth the 30 minute wait!!! Gave us time to catch up as a family. I ordered the B.L.A.S.T and OMG, TALK ABOUT AMAZING! Had a beautiful brunch on the patio overlooking the water. Amazing sweet tea, with awesome service in a wonderful atmosphere! Definitely will be coming back on our next vacation!
Good Food friendly service
Food is not great, and service was just as good. We had a guy, i think his name was Cody, couldnt be more annoyed with having to serve us lol. I mean no your welcome when we said thank you, just stone faced the whole time serving our table. Wont be going back.
Great food and service I highly recommend this establishment
Fantastic service and food.
Food is alright, staff are perfectly friendly. But waiting 45 for a table and then another 45 for food during "non-peak" hours really soured my experience. Would not advise going here if you're hungry now. And if you do, reserve a table online.
Delicious brunch food, though service is not super fast. I've had both the breakfast and lunch meals, and both are amazing. Usually it isn't too crowded. The staff is friendly, though I often have my drink sitting empty as they can be less than perfectly attentive. It's a great place though, and I definitely recommend.
My roommate and I both frequent here. Since moving to the north side about 2 years ago, this has been my favorite breakfast spot. Best service/staff/FOOD!!!!!
OMG great service! Chase wonderful! Did was amazing! Coffee fresh!
little bit pricy for eggs
Fantastic omelettes, quick and attentive service, tasty dark roast coffee, just about everything I want in a satisfying breakfast stop!
Atmosphere is very soothing!
Everything was really good from the service to the food!
Lovely menu options. Their take on typical breakfast and brunch items are welcome reimaginings or just outright unique. Nice atmosphere, bright and clean. Usually busy, but the staff always manages to keep things flowing without making you feel crowded or hurried.
Great food. And service was great.
Had their Lobster & Brie omelet... was very delish
The food is excellent but it is a bit too expensive for what it is. The menu reads almost like a Bob Evans but the quality is much better. I'd definitely recommend going here if you want a great tasting breakfast with quality diner style coffee. Be prepared to spend a bit more than you'd expect but in my opinion, it is worth it on occasion.
Very good food, excellent Libations, and good friendly service
Amazing service. Hostess was very welcoming and a joy to talk to. Serving staff was professional and warm. A great place to enjoy company and the attending staff. Food was flawless and menu was easy to read and understand. Definitely a must try to those visiting.
Excellent food and service. Nice view of the river, too. Seafood omlet and scrambles are among the best I've ever had.
This was my first experience here, and now I'm obsessed!! The foid and service were phenomenal, and as first timers they went out of their way to make us happy.
My favorite breakfast place
Best bacon in Indy! Fast and friendly. Convenient location along Meridian/465.
Excellent staff! Friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. The food was delicious and we left there stuffed.
Awesome food. Usually a wait, but totally worth it.
Very good food. Menu kinda made me nervous but waitress was super helpful and explained everything very thouroughly.
Every time we've been, there's a wait, but they use texting and you can check your place in line via the Yelp app. The food is a bit on the pricey side but it is worth it definitely. Very different menu with interesting flavors and new things to try. Service is hit and miss, pretty dependant on how busy they are. Overall LOVE the food and my husband claims they have the best coffee in the city.
Nice atmosphere and the food and staff are excellent!
Our favourite breakfast place in Baton Rouge. The food did not disappoint again. Sweet and savoury dishes are great with mimosas on the weekend
Great service and food
Always good and dependable. Nice wait staff and really good food.
Nice place to have breakfast , a n extensive list of many options fro breakfast , the only draw back is time to get upper order. very nice informative staff
Nice environment, beautiful view, and great service, really really nice atmosphere. And the food was delicious.
Great service nice atmosphere and the food is just like big mama cooking
A wonderful place to enjoy breakfast and lunch meals. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This place is always busy, so sometimes there might be a little bit of a wait. The staff are very family friendly. I enjoyed an omelette with spinach, bacon, cheese and onions. The coffee was good.
Great gluten free pancakes! Food was good but we didn't get alcohol and still the bill was $87 with tip for 4 people! 5 for food but 1 for cost. So 3 stars.
The service and my waitress was very nice to us. Food was very good, especially the city grits. The whole menu is good. You can not go wrong.
Food was excellent. Went late morning early afternoon and sat on the patio. It was relaxing service was good and I would recommend the lemon blueberry mimosas. Also they are pet friendly! Offered my little guy a bandana and of course a bowl of water. Will be back for sure!
The lobster and brie omelet was delicious. The lobster was perfectly cooked and the waitress was pleasant. She was timely with her check-ins and genuinely interested in doing her job properly. I love the atmosphere at the Perkins Road location. You're always greeted with a smile. The parking can be challenging at times, but the food and service makes the challenge with parking worth it.
Wonderful food and service!!!
Nice people, clean, but took almost 3/4 hour to get our breakfast. The meal was tasty blueberry french toast, briscut and gravy but needed a lot more gravy. Coffee was so hot, I needed four ice cubes to cool it down enough to drink. Some if tou like it that way I'm sure.
Yummy food.
Got there at 1:35 and they close at 2:00 it was not a problem great panini, wife loved her crab cake and fried green tomatoes.
Great view of the river. We got free beignets since it was our first time. Mimosas were great and the omelet and potatoes were very good!
Great breakfast. Lots of selections. And of course great service!
Our first visit. A little pricey, but was very full when we were done. And the food was excellent.
Nice restaurant with great food & river view!! I recommend the shrimp & grits!!
This place serves up some very tasty breakfast and lunch items. Everything always tastes fresh. The only negatives are that the food is a little pricey, and if you go on Sunday, at least, be prepared to wait a while before you're seated. Still, once you're seated service is good. I wish they didn't close so early though, since breakfast for dinner is nice sometimes.
Service was great and the food was even better. I will definitely go back.
Food and service were excellent.
Can't beat the outside tables on balcony, overlooking the river. Food is great. Drinks and service quite good, big improvement from years past. Gets super crowded for a while mid-morning, so try to go early or late.
Great service. Great breakfast
Fun breakfast place with great food and a nice view of the River
Crawfish omelet and grits served up just right.
I had fried chicken and waffles, tasted very good!
Great breakfast, great service
Wait wasn't as long as we thought it would be. Staff is so super friendly. Pancakes were abit undercooked in the middle but they replaced them right away and double checked they were cooked to perfection. The poached eggs were slightly overcooked but it was ok cause the Blackstone eggs Benedict was a delicious dish none the less. Will def come again.
Beautiful restaurant, Awesome view outside overlooking the river. The food is so Yummy! Lots of choices and really good scones.
Great food and great service
Great sevice
Really delicious food. Definitely go for the City Grits. And, do yourself a real favor, and request Aaron as your server. He's a joy.
Love this place for breakfast.
Great place to eat. Went for my birthday, had the southwest scramble and biscuit beignets, which were amazing!
Great place food was good.. we sat at the bar for our first visit.. I wish we would have sat at a table do the the waitress... but there where a lot of ppl waiting. I can say this I HAVR FOUND MY NEE BREAKFAST SPOT!!!
I love this place. The food is always EXCELLENT!!! The atmosphere is great!! If the wait is long I sit at the bar and eat, where I enjoy great conversations and amazing Mimosa!!!
Great place! This was my first time and I WI be back. I had the Quinoa Power Bowl and it was AMAZING. It's been a while since I had healthy food taste so great. The service was good and despite how busy the restaurant was, people received their food in a very reasonable time frame. Be prepared to wait Sunday morning! This place is popular and I see why!
We love ABE and this location is no different. It's an excellent brunch place Sundays and wasn't too busy. The food is always good, and the waitress was extremely courteous and prompt. I'd recommend it to anyone. Will return.
Service was great!!! The food was awesome. Try the shrimp and grits you won't be disappointed!!!
After an hour wait still didnt get a table so cant rate the food. Guessing there's an app to get put on waitlist and those there in person get pushed. Had indicated would take outdoor seating but 5 minutes later outdoor seating was put up for grabs so...
If you're on a diet, this is the place to cheat... and worth every calorie. Service and food is fabulous. But make sure to get one thing (or five or six things)... Beignets were "to die for". #beignetlove
Server was fast and professional. Food was delicious, hot, fresh and fast
Fantastic service, the quality of food was superb; management was excellent! Also was given beignets because we was first time customer's.
Yummy! Lots of Gluten free options!
Okay... 3 star at its best. I was expecting The amazing service and amazing food that I get every time we eat another broken egg when we are on vacation in Florida. It says on their website it’s the same company but the food wasn’t up to par with what they serve in Florida. When we were seated we told the girl that we had an appointment that was a mile up the road and was in a hour & 20 minutes.... we ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs, city grits and biscuit and my son and I were gonna share. The biscuit was so hard I had to dig out the soft middle to eat... bacon was GREAT , city grits were good but a little warmer then room temp, as was the rest of everything. Not sure what happened but we sat for a while waiting and almost just walked out. We will try one of the other locations next time we are wanting brunch. The restaurant was clean... and the staff was nice.!we should have asked for a manager but just didn’t have time to wait.
Very friendly and gave exemplary service.
Beautiful venue, service was great, and the food was wonderful. I really enjoyed the hand patted sausage.
Ordered the Traditional.. BLAND. silverware was dirty. Askd for grits gave potatoes.. city grits was cold. Im gonna try brunch later to see if they can redeem.
Awesome view outside overlooking the river. The breakfast is amazing. The staff is very friendly. Amazing spot to have brunch:)
Good service and home cooked meals...
The best breakfast and excellent customer service. Love everything! I love the little mugs.
Great non traditional/ traditional breakfast place. Best bloody mary in this area!!
Be prepared to wait if you go on a popular day, but it's worth it if you've planned for it!
The staff was great, and the food was delicious! Had the cutest to go boxes and bags!
Food is always excellently prepared and service is consistently good.
Enjoyed the food, really tasty.
The atmosphere overlooking the Warrior River is awesome. The food is 5 star. The staff is friendly and constantly making sure you have what you want. I recommend the Salmon Power Bowl. It is for people that love to eat healthy and fresh. I highly recommend this place.
Great atmosphere and the servers do their best to give you great service with a great attitude. It can take a minute to get your food but it is always top notch. This isnt your typical IHOP/Waffle House quality breakfast. Thus, it also comes with a steeper price tag, but man do you get your moneys worth, both in quality and quantity.
The prices are fair for the portion sizes. In general, I enjoy the food. I recommend trying the Floridian omelette. Some of the alcoholic beverages are a tad too sweet for my liking, but if you are into that, they have plenty of options. The waitress treated me very kindly & checked on me just the right amount of times to ask how everything was going. Overall, a rather pleasant experience.
The first cup of coffee was cold, like left over cold, seems the server should have noticed the cup was cold. I had to ask for a hot one, . The food was bland no flavor and I had ordered a Cajun omelette.
The staff is very nice, even with a fussy baby they were kind and accommodating.
Everything is always fresh and delicious, the staff is always super friendly. Go in and ask for Alisha! She’s our favorite!
Good food exceptional Service Great pricing go here at least once a week
Great service. Sat at the bar. Sad to see the espresso machine was gone..
My family and I had an excellent time here. The staff was kind and friendly. Our food was wonderful.
This place is great. The service here is just amazing, from coming into the door and it being held open for us in the rain, to getting our check. I'm so impressedI got the fried chicken and waffles. I'll say the waffle was a little dry but nothing a little butter couldn't fix. The Chipotle honey I asked for this on the side because I'm not into that sweet heat flavor. Best grits. I'm so picky on that and these were delicious. Bacon to perfection. It's flattened out and crispy like it's baked. My boyfriend got poached eggs with a biscuit and bacon. He ate it quickly so I assume it was good.It took me a bit to eat my plate because it was a good amount of food. I'll eat it tomorrow. Bless this place for it's service though.
Love this place. Excellent breakfast. High end though rather than a diner.
The service was very bad. I did speak to a manager about the situation and she was very understanding and was willing to send a gift card since reimbursement was not possible. I appreciate the manager and will raise my rating because she was helpful.
Poor service and bad tasting food. Very uncomfortable seating.
Grossly overpriced and slow service
Starting to get a sour smell.
Very good and unique brunch dishes. Will plan to make it a regular brunch dining experience!
Good service and exceptionally friendly staff. The food was great. As a first time customer, I got to try a complementary serving of their beignets, which were rich and delicious! I only wish I lived closer so I could come back more often.
The Shrimp 'n' Grits were amazing!!and the Mimosas were everything
The view is very relaxing. The smoked salmon Benedict was delicious. The coffee is eh...all in all it's worth it.
GREAT EXPERIENCE. FIRST TIME EATING HERE. ENJOYED THE BISCUIT BEIGNETS. GREETED AND SEATED RIGHT AWAY. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WITH THE MENU. I ORDERED THE SOUTHERN BENEDICT, VERY AUTHENTIC SOUTHERN STYLE, VERY TASTY. MY WIFE ORDERED THE FRENCH TOAST, SHE ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH, NICE SIZE PORTION. WILL BE BACK TO TRY MORE OF THE MENU.
Tasty goodness. A tad pricey though.
Great staff and food
This place has mythical status among Tuscaloosa residents. I only just recently went for the first time, and it lived up to the hype. Their breakfast food was to die for, and their mimosas woke me up in the best way. I think the only downside of this place is the price, which, if you want the best menu items (crabcake benedict was fantastic) can get a little high.
Lot of food for a great price!
great environment. it always feels cozy and the food is amazing
Loved the Juavos Rancheros
