On March 14th, I discovered 2-3 inches of standing water in my basement. My daughter called NorthStar Restoration and we were added to their quickly growing list of people dealing with water damage after quickly melting snow was coupled with a lot of rain. We were immediately given suggestions of what to do to prevent further damage and how to move things along to help the restoration process. Once we were able to get the water out of the basement and to get the carpet & padding removed, NorthStar was at our home the next day to start the drying process. Jay and his team members worked efficiently and sat with us to explain the process despite being overloaded with work. They returned a few more times over the next 5 days to check the progress and eventually remove the equipment. I am grateful for the NorthStar Team for their dedication and professionalism during a stressful event. Their knowledge along with their efficiency will always be appreciated by my family and I. While I hope to never need their services in this capacity again, I know without a doubt who I would call if I do.

I had an emergency issue concerning Aromatic cedar dust in which I had completely contaminated my entire home. The cedar dust was produced by a wood work project where I had done much fine sanding. As matters developed, I developed a severe respiratory reaction to the point of near respiratory failure. I literally could not enter my home without the use of a dust sanding mask. I contacted NorhStar Thursday morning, and they were able to get several Heppa Filter systems installed in my house the same day in the afternoon. By rescheduling another client's appointment, they were able to get a duct cleaning and home cleaning crew into my home the following Tuesday. I had contacted several other restoration companies prior to NorthStar, but none were able to provide help sooner than a month out. The cleaning crew took down and wiped off everything on all my shelves and flat surfaces, wiped down the shelves and flat surfaces themselves and, heppa vacuumed all floors on both my main level and throughout my entire basement area. The basement was a true challenge as this included all my work shelves, tools, furnace area, et. al. While they did this, ducts were cleaned. Even with the heppa filters and the through wipe down, I found red cedar dust had settled out of the air the day after the first clean up, thankfully only in my wood working area. I contacted NorthStar and they sent the cleaning crew back later that same day, and again the following day to finish up. They actually had to vacuum and wipe down the walls of my work area as the dust had adhered to them also. Need I say was a truly extensive mess!!!! The level of service provided was outstanding. Even moreso with their understanding the emergency nature of the situation facing me and their getting me the help I needed as quickly as they did. I was literally unable to live in my home for 5 days as going inside without a mask on was impossible for me. I hardily recommend this company.

Im a uber driver. I had a passenger vomit in my car. I called several places that either didnt clean bodily fluids or couldn't do it for a few days. However Northstar called me back right away and had great communication and by a miracle could get me in right away! Once it was done they explained the process they used to clean my car. My car looked and smelled great! Im very please with the work they did! Highly recommend!

I had Northstar Restoration Services come clean my duct work and dryer vent. The guys that came in did a good job, but when cleaning the dryer vent from the outside they sucked the plastic cover off into their machine and it got shredded. I was originally told that I could replace it fairly cheaply on my own, which I did, but they ended up reimbursing me for the cost of the new cover and part of the vent cleaning as well. They also forgot to plug one of the holes they drilled into my duct work and I was told I would be sent a plug to fill it, but never received it. Overall though, I would recommend them.
