LOOK ELSEWHERE! Needed two lights (already purchased and unboxed) hung on the front of the house beside the door. Old lights were already removed. Simply hang the new ones. 3-hours later they are up, but obviously crooked - because they were poorly installed he used half a bottle of caulk to seal around the edges. I would have been better off installing myself. Terrible Job - When confronted the answer was "they built the house wrong." Folks, this is a square brick colonial home. Will now need to have them professionaly removed and re-hung.

wish I could give it a 1/2 star.. On the phone, I was quoted under $500 to install steps to my front porch- 3 steps, 2 railings, risers, and spindles... I told "Jeff" to schedule the job and we discussed what type of wood to use- treated or non-treated. I told him let's go with treated so my house doesn't look like it's under construction for the summer and I'll be able to stain them right away. Once the contractor arrived, he told me it would be an additional $200 to finish the job. I told him that I was "OK" with that and to start the job. After the job was complete, I asked him when I could schedule him to do the stain work. He told me not for at least 6-9 months as this is treated wood. I told him I asked for non-treated so that I would be able to stain right away.. Also, the bill came to almost $1200.. I notified Tony Kendall right away and he said he would knock it down to $900. Which is still $200 more than what the contractor quoted and almost $400 more than what "Jeff" quoted. A few months went by and the original contractor leaves me a voicemail stating that he's at my house looking for his money since He wrecked his truck and needed money to get it fixed. I called Tony and told him don't ever have anyone from you company come knocking on my door demanding money for a job that was over quoted and not done correctly. Tony then threatened to come to my house and rip the stairs off my house. I told him that I will have this conversation documented by the local authorities. Tony has since contacted 3 collection agencies in an attempt to collect on his $900 bill. After telling all 3 agencies what had happened they proceeded to not take the case. Tony has since contacted another agency asking for money. All of this has violated the Pennsylvanie Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protections Law. In PA, it is considered "unfair" for a company to do the following... (v) represent that goods or services have sponsorship and approval (vii) represent that goods or services are of a particular standard or quality approved by consumer (xii) engaging in any deceptive services that creates confusion or misunderstanding of services DO NOT EVER ENGAGE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY SERVICES.....

I cannot give enough praise to the work performed by Mr Handyman of Northern Pittsburgh. I was in the process of selling my house, and coming out of the inspection the buyers wanted a bit of work done that was beyond my capability. I called Mr Handyman and they had someone out to do the work within a few days (the work required cutting out a bunch of plaster from the ceiling, allowing it to dry, replacing it with drywall, and texturing the drywall). Everything at the end looked phenomenal. As I approached the sale date of my home, a borough inspection required a few more items done - specifically raising the height of two railings, one of which was outside. I only had about two weeks to get this done, but Mr. Handyman came up with a plan for the work and had it done before closing. Everything looked absolutely amazing, and I will 100% be using them again.

I have uses Mr. Handyman for a variety of jobs and they have been excellent. I am actually amazed at the extent of the skill set that their technicians possess. They have done everything for me from minor plumbing jobs to sofit and facia repair with a lot of jobs in between. Their prices are fair and they do not waste time which would run up the hourly charges. i highly recommend these folks, especially when handyman job around your house may be a little above the pay grade of the average homeowner.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS First off, they don't do work by the project. It's done on hourly rates only. If two guys are needed, they will charge you for each guy's time. I needed a powder room ceiling painted, a foyer ceiling painted, and my gutters cleaned out. For the painting, I will say, the guy did a good job. In total, that took him about three hours to finish. Then the gutters. He did the back gutters first as they are not as high up, needing a 20 foot ladder to reach. They were done in about 10 minutes. When going to the front of the house, he asked me to help him hold the ladder, which just barely reached the top. He cleaned out the left section on the front of our house, but then told me that he would have to come back with a longer ladder. He then handed me a bill for $600. I asked if the cleaning of the right side of my gutters were included and he said yes, and that someone would come by in a few days to finish. A few days later, Josh calls me and says that someone can come out on a Friday to do the work. Friday morning, Josh calls and says that the person that was supposed to come out could not make it. THAT'S IT. No attempt to refund my money, call back to set up an appointment or any other action that would show that they actually are concerned about servicing a customer. So, today, (8/26/15) I called and got Jeff. I asked him when someone was coming out to finish the job, and he informed me that it would take two guys, and they would charge me for each guy's time. Here's the kicker. He says two guys are needed because of OSHA rules, yet it was all right for me to hold the ladder for the other guy. Needless to say, I'm not happy and will NEVER use this company again, and will not recommend them to anyone. If you are stuck using this company, get EVERYTHING in WRITING for what they are going to do. I doubt they will honor their word, but it might save you the trouble that I went through. Good luck.
