Team cannot show up on time, despite my standing booking as the first appointment of the day. Worse, when they call to "update" on arrival, they continue to underestimate, assuring me they will arrive in 20 minutes, then taking 40 to actually show up. Dispatch is friendly and sympathetic on the phone, but has apparently been unable to actually do anything about the problem, including failing to follow through on their promise to assign a new team to our account or even showing an awareness that I've complained multiple times. Not worth your time.

I had great service! It has been a long time since my apartment was thoroughly cleaned, so it needed the works! The team that came was early, worked hard for two hours, and really helped me out! The place looks great now, and I appreciate all they did! I feel bad for the person who I think was allergic to my two cats, but no one complained (I heard sneezing). Thanks again - my fiance and I are thinking about having this done regularly!

Have had a few issues, mainly them being late. Be mindful of the 2 hrs window they give themselves, meaning if you schedule the 10:30-12:30, they could show at 12:30 and start. That makes for a potentially 4 hr wait to have the job done (depending on size of your place). I personally like to be around (let them in and out ) and not leave a key or codeto get in when I'm not here. Personal preference. Had to cancel the service for too many hiccups for this and a few other reasons. Inconvenient and inconstant service performance.

UNRELIABLE. PAID $150 for NO CALL, NO SHOW. I saw that Maids in Black had some good recommendations, so I booked, and paid for service. On the day of, I called to confirm my appointment. (I hadn't received a call and wanted to make sure my appointment was on their books since I was sending my husband and three kids out of the house for the day to make room for the maids.) I received a call back that my appointment was on and the maids would be seeing me shortly. My arrival time was between 2:30-4:30. I began to get worried at 3:00 and called. No answer. Called again at 3:30, no answer. After two more unanswered attempts, I finally got a hold of someone at 4:30. They told me that no one would be able to make the appointment because the maids had been confused about the schedule. I was informed I would have to wait 3-5 days for a refund of the $160 and that there were no more weekend appointments. All the rep could say was "sorry," but didn't seem willing to compensate for the inconvenience even though I had spent 4 hours of a Saturday afternoon waiting and had paid to have my kids out of the house for the time.

Easy to work with, great website, easy to schedule, easy to re-schedule. Maids in Black always does an excellent job and they have always been flexible when last-minute things arise (as they always do). We have a door knob key safe like realtors use and just put it out on the day of the cleaning. But that's not because we don't trust them, we absolutely do. Their service has been a tremendous help and knowing we can count on them is priceless. We were hesitant to let anyone into our home (and our lives), but we're glad we chose Maids in Black.

I could not wait to return home the day Maids in Black came to my place. What I saw was beyond impressive. From their customer service to their cleaning, it was hassle-free, responsive and in a word AMAZING. I booked an appointment with them after getting frustrated about the state of my home after coming back from a long overseas deployment. I applied for services on Thumbtack and their team quickly responded with a quote. I then went on the read more about them and out of the many quotes I received, I decided to give them a try. There was a brief discrepancy in the days I booked, however a quick email and a follow-up call from the team later and it was all straightened out in a professional and friendly manner. My boyfriend, was bothering me about the "hassle" it would be to have the team cleaning, but after he saw the work that was done, I heard NO COMPLAINTS! In fact he called so excited that the team did a great job. I will absolutely book again and recommend them to others!

On top of the quality of the service you provide, you won’t feel like you are ripped off, because their rates are quite okay

Was able to text to set up an appointment after my apartment flooded, they had a team there in under 15 minutes and I couldn't even believe I walked into the same apartment I had left after water and dirty had covered the whole apartment. They went above and beyond even washing, drying and folding, my piles of clothes intended for laundry that were flooded as well. Highly, highly recommend this company.

I've been using MaidsInBlack for about a year or so now and they always do a great job! The maids are punctual, friendly and always have a great eye for detail. I even picked up a cool way of making my bed from them :) I feel like I'll have that new house feel for at least a month

I requested two people for two hours to clean an entire floor of the house, including living room, kitchen, dining room, a bathroom, corridore and entrance, and I specifically asked (and expected) them to accurately clean the area. They cleaned everything in 45 minutes, in a very superficial way, and wanted to leave after 45 minutes, whith the house just barely cleaned. The spots that were on the floors where still there after they cleaned, and they didn't do a thorough job at all. On top of this they were one hour late

This company was wonderful to work with. I was setting up a cleaning of a friend's home as a gift while she was having her first baby. She was concerned about bending over after the C-section and I asked that they pay close attention to the trim base, floors, etc. They did an AMAZING job. She said it was the best present she received. I am having back surgery and plan to use them again for my house. They responded to emails quickly and when I forgot to leave a tip in my friend's house they let me add it to my credit card with no problem. I would highly recommend Maids in Black to all of my family and friends!

I wanted to try out professional cleaning on my 1 bedroom apartment w/ wood flooring throughout. I'm already a clean person so I really needed things like baseboards, windows and my hard wood floors tended to. I booked for 9/2 and was given a time range of 12:30-2:30Pm. I received a call on the day of my appointment asking if the maids could come a little earlier (12:15) which was absolutely fine! I was greeted by two women, I briefly introduced myself, advised that there was a dog present and that I'd be taking her with me while they clean. I briefed them on what to do with my laundry that I didn't have time to pick up (I did not pay for laundry services) I let them know that I would be leaving and would return once complete. About two hours later, I arrived home....I will start with the positive, the bathroom is clean, they dusted, and cleaned my dogs cage. Now....my apartment does not smell like it has been cleaned...I literally smell no cleaning products. My baseboards are untouched, windows as well. They even left dishes on my counter top. My counter top was half way wiped, I purposely didn't clean one particular spot to see if they would be attentive to an entire area. My floors were not swept or mopped. My couches were not moved one bit to sweep anything under them or around. Everything that was on the floor when I left (ex: removable sticky juice spot) is still there. I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. I feel like I've wasted my money. My apartment literally looks the same aside from them picking my laundry off of the floor and making my bed. They cleaned the bathroom, which is a nuisance of mine to do...but the job I received is no where near $140 worth for a one bedroom 900sqft apartment. I am unimpressed to say the least. I have contacted customer service who has been most helpful in arranging a date for the team to come do a re-clean. Unfortunately I now have to wait 3 additional days...as I said, I'm already a clean person with impeccable design, so it's not that hard to make my apartment appear nice. If it counts....They definitely arranged my pillows on the couch great... This has ruined my weekend plans..not to mention I left them a $30 cash tip in advance thinking it would give them the extra "push" to do an outstanding job. I am now out of $170 and still have dirty dishes on the dirty countertop, dirty baseboards, dirty wood floors and dirty window ceils..If I could, I would take my time and money back. I suppose I will update my review in three days once the team comes to reclean but I can't imagine giving a better review or having a more positive outlook when I expected the best out of the service the first time as I paid for. Sigh. I get more annoyed the more I look around, I literally wasted an entire day expecting to come home happy.
