I was lucky enough to receive a complimentary cleaning in exchange for an honest review. First off the owner Ben showed up with the cleaner, just to introduce himself - which was stellar. Ali was our cleaner and she was so sweet. She was incredibly nice to my daughter who wanted to watch her clean. Ali asked me what I wanted done and worked really hard. She was here close to 3 hours. She spent a lot of time on our kitchen and bathroom. Our sink has never looked so clean - ever! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I asked her to dust and wipe down surfaces and there were a few areas (mainly hanging shelves) that didn't get dusted. However, I will add that those areas are quite cluttered and I didn't specifically point them out. I will use Rain City Maids again in the future. Overall I was happy with the service.

EDIT: Rain City maids made it right - they contacted me directly and were very professional about asking for a repeat visit with a supervisor. I was very happy with the result - I came home and was wowed by the result. Thank you Rain City Maids :) I was not happy with my service for how expensive it was and how little was done. The sinks in the bathroom were still dirty and the shower glass still hadn't been wiped despite that being "checked" on the evaluation box at the end. The woman who cleaned my place also showed up at 5 minutes to noon even though I was scheduled at 11. She was very nice and pleasant (I left the key and then went to work) but I don't think this kind of cleaning (kitchen counters wiped, no vacuuming, etc.) merits "2 hours" of cleaning service.

I was fortunate enough to get a free cleaning for an honest review and I couldn't be happier about being able to report that I will absolutely use Rain City Maids again. I had a great experience with Rain City Maids. I've had bad experiences with other cleaning companys so I was a little hesitant about trying another. But, after months of being ill my house needed help! First off I was very impressed with the communication. Ben was very patient and worked with our schedules to get a perfect time for me, and the ladies that came to do the cleaning were wonderful. My cat is also not super friendly so I was a little bit concerned but everyone was in one piece when I came home. Update 01/08: I had completed their survey after the cleaning and they had immediately offered me a next day no-cost re-cleaning which I could not accept as I had moved out. They did not respond to my suggestion for a partial refund at that point but later (after this review) I was offered the partial refund and it was resolved to my satisfaction. Original review: The team assigned to me (Cameron and Willow) didn't prioritize as per my requirements and kept insisting they had enough time for everything. However they ran out of time (even though I had booked one additional hour) and left without cleaning some of the important areas. If you are booking with them ensure you are at home and are constantly monitoring the cleaning.

Rain City Maids made our home shine! Today Lizzie and Jen spent hours meticulously cleaning our home for our initial cleaning. I wasn't sure what to expect because it's been a while since we've had our house professionally cleaned and I am very neat and clean, but they far exceeded my expectations! I thought that my home was pretty clean before they came, but now it is immaculate! I've hired a few different home cleaning services in the past, both around here and on the east coast, and this was by far the best cleaning that someone else has provided my home! What I think stands out about Rain City before hiring them is: - They advertise that they use all natural cleaning products (and bring all of their own supplies and equipment) - They are local to Kirkland and a family-owned small business, so I knew they'd take pride in their work For those of you who may be new to hiring a house cleaning service (or, like me, it's been a while), here's an overview of what they did: - Dusted furniture, doors, baseboards, windowsills, etc., and polished furniture - Thoroughly cleaned bathrooms (They spent extra time scrubbing all of the hard water off of our master shower doors, and I don't think they've looked that clean since we bought the house new a year ago!) - Cleaned all visible surfaces in kitchen, including polishing appliances and stove hood, and they even cleaned our kitchen chairs, which is no small task since I have a kindergartner and toddler! (I was told that inside of appliances can be added, but I didn't need that today) - Vacuumed and mopped floors, including stairs (we have hardwood, carpet, and tile) - Made beds with fresh sheets - Emptied garbage - Cleaned laundry room (wiped washer and dryer, cleaned utility sink) They were extremely friendly, detail-oriented, and arrived on time. They answered all of my questions and walked me though their process before they began and then walked through again at the end to make sure that I was happy with their work. They even said that if I notice anything later that they missed, to call and they'd be happy to come back to clean it. As a busy mom of two little ones who is fairly home-proud, I highly recommend Rain City Maids!!!

I highly recommend Rain City Maids! I first tried Merry Maids, and was so disappointed with their first clean that I fired them and called Rain City Maids. Lilly and Kaitlyn were my crew, and they did an amazing job. I showed them the bottom of my tub, so they could see that hard water had made it ‘uncleanable’ – for years! You can make it clean, of course, but it still looks dirty - I just wanted them to know not to work too hard on it. Imagine my surprise when I can home to a sparkling WHITE bathtub! I have no idea how they did it… even bleach didn’t work for me! The whole house sparkles. Also, the products they use don’t leave a chemical smell behind. The people in the office are super-responsive, send reminders. Their arrival window is just one hour (Merry Maids is two, and they arrived on hour three). I’m looking forward to a long relationship with Rain City Maids!

Aliya did a great job cleaning our apartment!! The only thing to mention is I'll have her use our mop next time since it seems to work better on our hardwood floors and to have her spend just an extra few minutes cleaning the outside of our kitchen cabinets since obviously we are messy cooks!!! But otherwise she did a fantastic job and overall Rain City Maids has been extremely flexible with our schedule and they have kept good communication!! Rain City Maids is awesome!!! LeAnna came to clean my house and she was punctual, professional, friendly, and made my house her concentrated priority. I loved that she set my blinking clock in the bedroom and arranged my cookbooks on the kitchen counter. From my first call to them til the last room cleaning, LeAnna did a great job- my floors, counters, microwave, stove, windowsills and furniture are all shiny and dust free. My boyfriend and I needed to clean our house before his parents visited for a few days. We have a small house with 4 BR, 2.5 BA. Rain City Maids were super professional from beginning to end! They even had a quality control supervisor come towards the end of the scheduled clean to check over everything, give the girls feedback and ask them to do some things better. (They'd done such a good job I couldn't see anything they could do better, but their supervisor pointed out a stain that she wanted them to work harder on, and she apologized to me when they couldn't get it out even with pulling out all the stops). They left a checklist that listed every single cleaning process they'd gone through for each room. I believe there was a follow-up call the next day too to see if we had any questions or concerns. Best cleaning service I've ever hired; I'll definitely use them again!

Once again, Rain City Maids did an incredible job!!!!!! I LOVE everything about Rain City Maids. My favorite thing of all, is that I NEVER need to pick up the phone. Everything is done conveniently online, which I love. All I have to do is arrange for the cleaners to get in and the rest happens like magic!! On a personal note, I was fired at the start of the year, which resulted in me being incredibly depressed. I did minimal cleaning for over three months, taking care of the kitchen but not much else. I finally got a job and decided to have my place cleaned as a reward to myself. Professional cleaning is a luxury that I really can't afford, but let me tell you, this was worth EVERY penny. So many tiny details were attended to... Including things I didn't even ask for. Coming home from work that night was such a treat. It was literally like the angels started signing the moment I opened my door. I have had consistently good experiences with Rain City Maids and would recommend them to anyone.

Disclaimer: I am writing this review for them to get a $10.00 discount on my next service. EDIT: Ben from Rain City Maids sent me an email a few hours after I posted this, thanking me for the review, but requested that I remove the disclaimer notice above. Please note that being transparent about compensation received for reviews is critical to consumer protection and journalistic ethics. Bear this in mind when doing business with Rain City Maids. That said, here is my unedited, honest review of their services: I am very commonly harassed by my landlords about the cleanliness of my meager living space, and they tend to only give us 48 hours notice if they plan to inspect us. I work several jobs to afford this hole in the wall, so I don't have time to scrub the place down every time management decides to drop by. Before every inspection, I'd easily not be able to sleep until afterward; I'd either be at work or cleaning my tiny apt at home. Finally, I bit the bullet last fall and asked for help. Their price was reasonable, but I wouldn't call it affordable, and that's mainly because I'm very, very poor. The service landed in the ballpark of $250 for four hours, which was much better than most cleaning services I'd requested quotes from upon receiving that month's inspection notice. Since I only get 48 hours before each inspection, the primary issue I ran into when trying to find a cleaning service was the availability. Most of them said that two business days was just too short a time frame. But I'm just not notified any sooner...there's nothing I can do about it. Rain City was highly responsive (answered all my calls and all my questions) and was very willing to accommodate me. They scheduled me barely within my requested window and assured me that if ANY appointments were cancelled, they'd let me know. As I work all the time, I could not be there during the cleaning, so the cleaning associate was at home with my roommate, who is mentally ill and disabled. I explained her disabilities and triggers to the Rain City associate, who'd assured me that great care would be taken around my roommate. The only other cleaning service I'd courted who I got this far into scheduling with (to the point that I'd even been able to mention this stipulation in the first place) had caused them to increase their quote for me to over $2,000.00. As I don't make much money and had to charge the service to my credit card, they also made sure they got me into the most cost-effective pricing for my unit size. They were very up-front about their time and fee restrictions and gave me the best deal they could offer without undercutting their bottom line or showing favoritism. I don't recall the actual results of the service. They were good enough to ensure we passed the inspection, but I don't personally recall seeing much of a difference myself, and my management said there was a lot left to be desired. (Though this was most likely due to the fact that my roommate is unable to clean up after herself due to her disability, moreso than the quality of Rain City's service.) But you know what they say: If something is done right, it will seem as if nothing was done at all. I'm sincerely grateful for Rain City's accommodation, understanding and human touch. I will be utilizing the discount this review gets me to start scheduling a monthly service to help me achieve a more sound work-chore-life balance.

Rain City Maids I’ve used rain city maids a few times now – first time for a deep clean of the house about 3 weeks after we moved in, and I was so impressed with their work that I’ve since hired them for a regular twice a month cleaning. Their rates are very competitive – and great quality for the price. What do I like about them? On time, great communication, clean very thoroughly, and best of all the house doesn’t smell like bleach when they’re done. I’ve got a small child, and I really appreciate that non-toxic chemicals are used throughout the house. They’re very friendly and easy-going which makes the whole experience very pleasant. Will definitely keep using them and would recommend them gladly!

I have been using rain city maids for about a year now. When I first started service they were really helpful and answered all my questions. They always do an amazing job. They have been consistent and flexible, which I appreciate. They made is very easy to get on a regular schedule with the date and time that best fit my schedule. I am very particular how things get cleaned in my home and they have been open to those needs. I have not been disappointed since I began using their cleaning services. They have e-mail reminders every week and then an extra follow up email reminder a couple days before, which also very helpful. If I have needed to call in for any change or request someone usually always answers or they are very quick at responding back. I haven't had any issues with any of the maids that come out. It is usually the same person every time. Everyone has been trust worthy and I have never had any issues. I would completely recommend Rain City Maids if you were looking for a home cleaning service.

I've never had home cleaning service before but have always wanted to and finally pulled the trigger as it was just getting to be too much with work-life balance and kids. I asked my friends for recommendations and one of them had mentioned Rain City Maids. She said that they were a little pricier than others but she's been happy with them (and she's pretty particular about things so if she's happy, then they must be good!) I sent a quote request through Yelp (along with a few other companies) and they were the only ones that actually got back to me with a quote (others were asking for size of my home, wanted to come look at the space for a price quote, etc) AND they gave me a call to follow-up on my quote request within a few hours of my request. I was able to book them for that same week and was provided with emails on what to expect, reminders, etc. The two maids showed up within the time frame they quoted me and just jumped straight in to it. I was quote for 2 hours of service but as they were nearing the end of their time, they asked if it would be ok if they stayed an extra 15 minutes each. The owner even called me to confirm that they had spoke to me to validate the extra service time. I felt like the time they were asking for was justified and they weren't just working slowly purposefully. Their manager also showed up to do a quality check of their work and could be seen wiping down the door frames and doing little extra touches. Afterwards, my hubs and I were both impressed at how clean the floor felt and how they got all the little crevices in the bathroom and even removed some soap that had been stuck since we moved in to the home! They followed up with an email asking how the service went and when I asked questions, they responded right away and answered all the questions that I had.

I have been looking for a new cleaning service because my old one kept changing cleaners on me and many of them didn’t do a good job. I gave Rain City Maids a try because they are locally owned and they use eco-friendly cleaning products. The cleaners who came were friendly and willing to clean in the order that worked best for our household, that is, around our kids’ schedule. The cleaning: It has been several months since we had a cleaner come in, so there were a lot of areas in need of help. They did a good job and of all of the cleaners we’ve had, did the best job on the hardwood floors. I found this particularly interesting since they used exactly what I had other cleaners use. So, it wasn’t their products that made the floor look good, it was their desire to do a great job. I’ve had some cleaners leave the bathtub dull with soap scum and wipe around the shampoo, etc. on the side. But, not Rain City Maids – the tubs were shiny and the nooks and crannies clean. The cleaning products: They seem to be using Method and a few other brands. What I liked was they used the right product/tool for each job. The house smelled clean but not overly chemically or perfumed. I plan to have Rain City Maids come back. It feels great to be in a clean space.

I've used Rain City Maids for almost 2 months now on a bi weekly basis. Each time they come and clean our place, my wife and I are surprised at how well they do. They do a great job cleaning each room we ask them to as well as with small details (i.e. cleaning the toaster, arranging shoes on the entry way shoe rack neatly, etc.). They provide great communication before and after their cleaning, the professionals are kind and present themselves professionally, which provides a lot of comfort as we allow them to come in and clean while not home. I'm not sure, all I know is that it wasn't worth $224 when I had to continue to clean after they left. Will not be using the service anymore. Disappointed because the first service, like I said, was amazing!

I had a stellar experience with Rain City Maids last week! This was my first experience with RCM and I cannot tell you how pleased I was. I totally appreciate that the employees of this company are experienced, vetted and the company is licensed and bonded. I called to schedule something right away and appreciated having someone come within a couple of days. The employee came right on time and brought all of her owns cleaning equipment! I really thought I would have to provide things but she had everything, including a vacuum. After I showed her around I mentioned that I asked for a deep cleaning of a few of the areas. She got right to work and worked so swiftly. I was impressed with how thoroughly she cleaned and moved from one area to another. She managed her time well. She moved furniture away from the walls and cleaned places that are frequently overlooked! A bonus was that a supervisor rang the doorbell and came in to see how things were going. She also inspected the work being done and I heard her giving some constructive instructions then departed. When the employee finished the house it actually felt lighter, cleaner and we were sooooo happy! Nothing like a clean home! I would highly recommend Rain City Maids to friends, neighbors whether you need a one time deep clean or a regular weekly or bimonthly cleaning. I scheduled our next appointment already! :)

That made me feel confident that the work would be professional. Very gracious young ladies came, full of energy. My place was spotless and sparkly when the left! I might get lazy and use them for touch up - initially I had a deep cleaning. Even if my shoulder was 100% better, I couldn't do a job like theirs!

Rain City Maids has cleaned our house every other week for 3 times now. You can book online and the process is very easy. Ben, the owner, is quick to reply to emails (even late at night) and will make adjustments to your bill after you checkout if you need. I have never had my house cleaned before so I have nothing to compare our experience to. Growing up my mom was apparently Superwoman because I don't remember anything being dirty! But with a full time job, preschooler, and newly-crawling baby, we decided that it was time to give Rain City Maids a try after seeing the other reviews. For the first visit, Ben arrived at my house along with the ladies that would be cleaning it. He introduced himself and I very much appreciated meeting him. For the first cleaning, I paid extra for the blinds, windows, and walls to be cleaned (I have a preschooler who often uses the walls for drawings or for his napkin!). I was especially impressed with the way the blinds were cleaned, because since then they have stayed nearly dust-free. What I have learned in 3 visits is that they clean what they can in the time allotted. If your house hasn't been cleaned professionally in awhile, you should probably start with a deep clean. However, they work very efficiently, have the right tools for the job, use quality, eco-friendly products (Method and Biokleen), and they do not use paper towels! They come stocked with a large stash of microfiber cloths. They spend a lot of time in the bathrooms and they are sparkling, and my stainless steel kitchen appliances and granite countertops have never looked better. The ladies definitely take pride in what they do and they are courteous and pleasant to be around. My husband is always impressed with the way they organize whatever he leaves on his dresser and my son has been excited to see the way they make his bed (it's the little things). I have felt comfortable leaving my house to run errands, my kids have been home and it has been easy to not be in the way, and this past week I organized toys etc. while they were here. I have hired cleaning services in the past to help out when my condo gets to be too much, they remove everything off places, clean and make stacks with items then I go through the stacks. THESE GIRLS DID NOTHING. They had 1 tiny bathroom, 1 small kitchen, 1 living room - I told them not to worry about the bedrooms. They didn't finish ANYTHING. 2 girls, 2 hours. If you spend 2 hours on any room it should be sparkling.. Not this crew.. No vacuuming, things not moved, living room didn't even get touched. I have never had someone do so little with so much time. I explained this clutter issue when I made the appointment and they said they dealt with it all the time and not to worry. IF YOU USE THEM DON'T LEAVE Response: The litter was in ONE room. I have pictures of the floors of the day.. I told you on the phone not to worry about the room. There was no litter anywhere in the rest of house. It's funny that this too much clutter was not too much for another single lady to clean everything in 3 hours the larger of the rooms. And reclean the kitchen and bathroom..AND the kitchen and bathroom were too small not to be cleaned completely. They left all the dishes in the sink and didn't even load the dishwasher.. Nobody reached out that day but about the back bedroom and I said ok in response to not to clean it. It was already cleaned but the spilled catlitter and some cat treats on the bed. When I called to make the appointment I explained the situation regarding the clutter and putting it in piles. I was told no problem.. No one ever said otherwise.. I texted pictures to numbers and called and left a message, I never got a response. I have time stamps for both the voicemail I left and the pictures I sent. I was supposed to have another lady come in on Sunday and go through everything with me and do a KonMarie? Method to start purging my PR items but everything is pushed back. I will call you on Monday and show you what the real situation was with the pictures.

It was very easy to schedule my first service as well as recurring visits, and pay online. I set up the first service even though we weren't going to be home that morning. I received a confirmation email along with two reminder emails and a phone call to inquire about any specifics, etc. because it was our first time using Rain City Maids. We came home to a very clean house that smelled fresh but not like harsh chemicals. The kitchen and bathrooms were cleaned very well - the grout in our shower hasn't looked this clean ever. Very good customer service! I had some questions before I hired them for the first time and they responded to my questions super quickly. It was also very easy to schedule my first service and they even sent me reminders the day before and on the day of. They did a good job cleaning my place although the lady missed a few minor things, but overall my place looked a lot cleaner afterwards. p.s. Make sure you have a parking spot arranged for them. I didn't know that, so had to pay extra to cover the parking fees.

At the beginning of February 2016, I was in contact with Ben, the owner of Rain City Maids, about scheduling a cleaning appointment for my house in Kirkland. Ben responded quickly to my inquiry and thoroughly answered my questions. He even sent me a reminder email the day before the scheduled cleaning. All interactions with Ben were professional and pleasant. Thanks, Ben for making it seamless and easy to schedule a housecleaning appointment. On Wednesday, February 17,2016, two housekeepers from Rain City Maids cleaned my house--Bethany and Jessica. To begin both of the housekeepers showed up on time for the scheduled cleaning; they both removed their shoes before coming into my house (without being asked and while you might expect this of housecleaners, you would be surprised). They looked professional--with matching Rain City Maids polo shirts. I gave them a quick tour of the house and warned them of a broken toilet that didn't need cleaned. They asked if they should use their products--green all natural products--or if I preferred them to use my products. I appreciated that they asked and didn't assume. I worked from home during the cleaning; they were quiet and respectful of me, which I appreciated. When they were ready to clean the office, I moved to another part of the house. They worked quickly, quietly, and efficiently and were finished cleaning my house in a little over two hours. In the end, the house looked and smelled clean, but not overpowering of chemicals. The floors had been thoroughly vacuumed, not just a quick run of the vacuum over the carpet. All part of the house had been wiped down; all blankets on the couch folded nicely; beds made nicely; towels hung nicely; all kitchen appliances sparkled (I even have a hard time doing this); and they even managed to make my old windows sparkle again. Thank you Rain City Maids for the thorough and professional cleaning--I highly recommend them!

I am a regular customer and I generally book a 4-8 hour cleaning service. Their website does not ask me if I want to do a regular vs deep cleaning if I book a fixed slot. Now, when their maids arrive I tell them that these are my priorities and this is what I want to get cleaned first. Window and door cleaning is one of those priorities. Now this has happened twice - these maids would say we just have 4 hours and you want us to clean windows and door? Did you tell the office? Rain City Maids - Really?? If you want me to tell office each time what are my priorities please don't book my appointment unless I specify those. What is so difficult here when cleaning windows vs cleaning cooktop or Chimney (which is generally much harder).

I've lived in my apartment for 2 years, 3 months now, and never had it professionally cleaned. Prior to the inspection by my landlord this year, I had Rain City Maids come and do a cleaning job on the place, including a deep clean. I was able to use their website to complete payment very easily, and the price I paid was very competitive. My cleaning was scheduled to start between 2 and 3 PM. The cleaner arrived at 2:01 PM (and finished the entire 884 sqft. apartment in under 3 hours). The kitchen and bathroom were cleaned excellently, with the bathtub being even cleaner than when I moved in. Counters, stove, etc. were all wiped down, and every surface was properly dusted. The windowsills, which had been quite dirty even for windows that have never been opened, were cleaned thoroughly as well. After the job was complete, I was given a checklist of everything that was done, and a field manager showed up to inspect the job to make sure it was complete. The only thing that was not cleaned was the surface of my bathroom scale. Highly recommended, and I intend to use Rain City Maids again!

When I first reached out for a quote Rachel responded quickly with a super friendly email and phone call. She was not pushy at all, but was super descriptive about everything they offer and do as a cleaning company. I told her about my past experiences and why I was leaving the other company and she really seemed to care and take note. They were able to get me on the schedule that week and I have looked forward to each clean since then. I was very happy with the service provided by Rain City Maids from start to finish. Ben did a great job communicating with me via email and even sent me a reminder one day prior to my cleaning appointment. In the email, he included the names of two gals who will be showing up the next day. On the day of the cleaning, the girls arrived on time and had all the cleaning supplies. Ben also stopped by to meet me and introduce them. I gave a very quick overview of the house and they were ready to go. They worked meticulously for the next 3 hours and were very detailed. They vacuumed all the rooms (5 bedrooms, living room, den and stairs), mopped the wooden floors (kitchen and dining) and tiles (entrances), cleaned 2.5 bathrooms, dusted and cleaned accent tables, dining chairs and several other places, and also cleaned the windows. The laundry room was also mopped and the machines were wiped down. They even folded few clothes and towels which were in the laundry room. It was above and beyond what I expected. The products they used were very gentle and didn't smell like strong chemicals but everything was sparkling clean. In the past, some cleaning products have been so strong that I have had to open up the windows to get rid of the smell. I was pleasantly surprised with how well their products worked without leaving any smell behind. Overall, I'm very pleased with the service and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for both recurring professional cleaning or a deep cleaning once in a while.

Rain City Maids saved the day! My apartment had gotten to that "I don't even know where to begin" state, and I knew professional help was needed. I selected Rain City Maids based on their good reviews on websites like this, and I was not disappointed. My kitchen and bathroom has been scoured and scrubbed and looks brand new. Surfaces were dusted, baseboards are looking bright and shiny. Best of all, the carpet was vacuumed and cleaned, and I noticed that many tough stains disappeared. I knew I had let things slide too far when RCM contacted me (they were scheduled for 2 hours) to let me know that they recommended another hour's worth of cleaning, and that it would be an additional $50. I appreciated their letting me know and giving me the option to approve the additional work. I was certainly glad I did. A clean space is a happy space, and we will definitely have RCM return regularly.

After having several cleaning services, we. Decided to try Rain City Maids. They were more expensive then our former services, but from the web site sounded better and more professional. We booked a "deep cleaning" appointment and they did arrive on time. After they were finished and a Supervisor had reviewed the work in our home they all left to head to the next job. Later that day, my wife and I started to notice somethings that were not moved when they were "dusting". And there was dust still there, like on the coffee table.Then we noticed floors were not cleaned or mats not moved to clean under them. Also needles from the real Christmas tree were still on the carpet. But the biggest issue was in the guest bathroom. A towel bar was broken off, floor still dirty and No One mentioned the towel bar issue. Just left it next to the tub. We did advise Rain City of this via the web site, but the issue still stands. In my OPINION.....go with a cheaper cleaning service, you will get the same equality job we got, but at half the cost. We will NOT have Rain. City Maids back.
