I have never left a negative review and I usually disregard them as outliers. Three cleaners were scheduled to arrive during a 2 hour window for a move-in cleaning. After waiting 2 hours, one person arrived 20 minutes later and I'm told the third person arrive 2 hours later, but I wasn't present confirm. We were kindly warned in advance that the crew did not have time to complete the areas within the scope, we were told they were able to clean 3 of the 7 rooms due to the inaccurate description of the cleanliness of the house. That's fine and understandable, however, what is not acceptable is the standard that they consider "clean". The 3 "clean" rooms still had dusty and sticky surfaces, upswept floors, built up grease on the stove top and refrigerator, hand prints on the cupboard doors, a ring in the toilet bowl, and numerous other issues. I, the non-professional, was able to remedy all of these with a little elbow grease. I sent photographs to their office and I was told this was not to their usual standards. Ultimately, after requesting a 20% discount, I was offered a $50 credit or they could return and reclean those areas later (involving waiting another 2 hours during the arrival window). I am disappointed that $50, less than 10% of the total cost, is the discount offered after admitting the outcome was not up to their usual standards. I requested to speak with the owner numerous times and was denied. Again, I'm fine with the fact that they couldn't finish all areas within scope, what I'm not OK with is the quality of the cleaned areas. If you are so inclined to hire their services in the future, I would highly recommend taking before photographs.

Called them at 8 am on a Monday and needed them to clean out my house the next morning. They were there at 9am the next day and done within 3 hours (my house ain't small!!). There are a lot of reasons to love Green Cleaning Seattle - friendliness of staff, management's commitment to caring for their employees, environmental sustainability, local ownership, flexible policies, etc. That's great, but you want to know about the quality of the cleaning, right? The quality of cleaning exceeded our expectations. I have tried multiple cleaning services over the years and experienced inconsistent results. I don't know if it was because of how other cleaning companies trained their housekeepers, (or, worse, didn't train them) or why other companies never seemed to be able to fulfill the job. However, I have been using Green Cleaning Seattle for almost a year and the results are always great, always clean, always consistent. Absolute lifesaver company.

Green cleaning has cleaned my place four times now. The cleaning is great. The billing is not. On every single invoice that I have received I am charged $25 for a late fee, and $25 for a parking fee. After every service I call in to go over the invoice and correct these issues. After my most recent invoice, I responded and asked them to please correct it. I use this service to save myself time and headache. My invoice was updated. They 'forgot' to add the (inappropriate) parking fee to this one. I just called in. You are not allowed to speak to billing directly. The lady went thru, and she does not actually have to ability to determine what my balance is. Sorry guys! UPDATE: The owner is a liar and apparently a psychopath. My very first invoice had a late charge. Instead of removing the late charge my invoice was modified to say i received a one time waive, which is also a lie. I paid on time as instructed. I have the hand written note says what my zone parking permit was successfully used, yet I still have to call in to have the $25 parking fee removed. I have an invoice in my inbox that literally reflects that I made a payment at the time of service on line one, and then has a late fee! The owner is a thief and a con and a nut job. Anyone who keeps scrolling thru the negative reviews will see accusations of fraud, faking positive reviews, and BBB complaints. Based in what I've experienced I believe it!

I discovered them at a Job Fair, where I was representing my employer and ended up hiring them for cleaning services. Terrible company! Very inconsistent cleaners and strange office staff with sketchy policies. I was never charged for parking during my cleaning visits, then one day I get a charge for $7.25. I debate the charge, they send me to collections, and I pay via collections. Now a YEAR later, I get sent to another collections agency for the same amount! Get it together Green Cleaning Seattle!

They charge on higher price point of cleaning service costs--within normal ranges, but higher end. But they earn every damn dollar of it. If you appreciate attention to detail and natural cleaning products like we do in our house, you'll be happy to write them a check on your glistening kitchen counter once a week. Money well spent and a relief well deserved, in my opinion.

My overall customer experience with Green Cleaning is the worst I've had with a service provider. Yes, worse than Comcast. If you scroll through the one star reviews, you will see that our experience with Green Cleaning is a common one. The cleaning is fine. A bit slow with just one cleaner, but the job was always done well. The cleaners themselves were always nice too. I liked them. I suppose that's why we kept the service for the 18 months we did. But then we get to the customer service, which as I mentioned above can become off the rails bad. It's the classic "it's fine until something goes wrong" sort of experience. I recall the first scuffle was about billing. Something silly about invoice fees and it being terribly inconvenient for them if we paid by card instead of check. We moved on, but admittedly kept grumbling about a few ongoing inconveniences. We did our best to be good customers though. We paid on time and were flexible a few times when cleaners had to reschedule for one reason or another. But whenever push came to shove it was clear that this flexibility was not going to be returned. In fact, as the billing and scheduling practices grew increasingly aggressive, we felt disrespected and exploited. A few choice examples: * A cleaner had to cancel due to sickness. No problem, these things happen and we're happy reschedule. Green Cleaning then proceeded to pick a new time on our behalf, and then threatened a cancellation fee when we informed them that we'd be traveling during the new slot. Keep in mind, it was the cleaner who cancelled. We just wanted some say in the new scheduling. * A cleaner showed up on New Year's Day, our regularly scheduled day, but with zero advance warning that the holiday was still a go. I would have expected a heads up, but you'll find that Green Cleaning only communicates when it benefits them. Frustrating for everyone involved, and certainly some blame on our part, but probably not enough to warrant charging for a full cleaning plus a late fee. Anyway, as we were trying to find a solution, they sent us to collection. With a second late fee added. We finally reached a handshake agreement for a 50% discount to make up for our frustration, and then paid the collection. Not long after payment went through we were informed that there would be no discount after all. It was really the debt collection that did it. We'd been regularly paying customers for a year and a half at that point, and it was shocking to witness such a disconnect between our history and Green Cleaning's actions. It was nothing new, but it sure does make it clear where you stand. I suppose there's a bit of "fool me twice, shame on me" in this story. But my loss can be your gain. Steer clear. Update: As expected, the owner has responded here. Aggressively, of course. Let's tally the new transgressions since I posted my initial review: * Revealing private information by mentioning my wife by her full name. * Misconstruing our 1/1 bill as unpaid. We made the transaction via Paypal on 3/11, a week ago. There is plenty of evidence here to back us up. * Double-billing us for the 3/12 cleaning. The cleaner, Ryan, and I talked about the check, and I saw him grab it. On top of everything else, and given the timing, I believe this is a retaliatory action because of my negative reviews. Again, everyone, steer clear.

On the day of the clean, they were on time, thorough, and followed up with a call when they were done to let us know everything went well. After I walked through my home, I was shocked...nothing was missed. I am very nit-picky and will look for mistakes and places they could have missed. Honestly, I am hesitant about cleaning companies and I only hire out cleaning when I am absolutely overwhelmed and cannot do it myself. Tops of shelves, door trim, behind and under the couch, all cleaned. Super happy.

I had a deep cleaning house cleaning for $350 (900 sq feet) and the house was not deeply cleaned as per the check list provided. When I followed up and provided photos they said they would provide a partial refund and asked if I wanted to re-book a regular cleaning. I have emailed them twice and they have not followed up.

STEER CLEAN. Although this company markets itself as ethical, they are any thing but. When their reviews on Yelp got too bad in 2012, they opened up a new page on Yelp to start fresh (Which also has 2.5 stars overall). Verify for yourself: the old Yelp page is Green Maid Services and the new one is Green Cleaning Seattle (both have the same website). Their photos on their reviews page supposedly by happy customers are easily found on Google images and they are lifted from decorating images! Please do your due diligence and research their customer complaints on BBB which are online under their name. This is not a good company. Beware. UPDATE: defamation occurs when a company's GOOD name is hurt--that clearly does not apply here.

I travel a lot and juggle being a mom and working….the week I hired Green Cleaning Seattle for the first time, had a lot going on. I scheduled them while I was out of town so I could be at ease that my husband and kids were taken care of in the house & so that I’d be able to take a breather when I got home the next day. Around 6pm the evening they cleaned, my husband send me a text with a photo of our son’s bedroom :) He was even so impressed with their work (something I have never seen him even think about before). When I got home the next day, I agreed: these guys do a great job. Super happy to have found them.

I've had a monthly cleaning service with Green Cleaning Seattle for 4 months now and am generally happy. The cleaners have always been friendly and chipper. The prices are on the higher side, but I appreciate the care taken to use more natural cleaning products to protect the staff and my home. They do a good job of resetting my house to very clean every month. I agree with some of the other reviews that the address to mail payment could be more clear -- each email has a signature with the physical address but not the PO Box. I think adding the PO Box to the email signature instead of only on the website would lead to much less confusion.

We hired green cleaning Seattle for a deep spring cleaning. We have two huge dogs that shed and track in dirt so it was amazing to have a clean sparkling home. We left on vacation and came home to a near spotless place (nothing cleaned under furniture, no fridge or inside cabinet cleaning but other wise very clean), complete with a sweet note from the team. My only caveat is that the pricing was fairly outrageous in comparison to other companies ($414 for the deep clean of a 950 sq ft home).If that's within your budget I would recommend their services.

They clean in the corners, fold my toilet paper, clean behind the toilet, make my toiletries organized, clean inside my microwave. All the stuff that makes you really happy to see clean. Showed up and finished in time. Ladies were very professional, but friendly. Paid attention to most of the small details, and made our house look and smell great. However, in the two days since, I had noticed a few places (under the beds specifically) that they failed to clean. I was a bit surprised, since the rest of the service was so spot-on. HOWEVER once I called them they sent out another cleaner - no charge, of course - and finished the vacuuming. THAT is customer service, and I would say that they did a superior job! I think our initial job was an anomaly, as what I have heard about this company is all good. Our house is now proof that they stand behind their work, and are hard working folks.

Our encounter with Green Cleaning Seattle was less than stellar. Not only did they not leave enough time to complete our house on their first visit (after extensive emails trying to assess the situation remotely), their job was uneven at best. Most of our house was not terribly dirty, with the exception of two bathrooms (and two rooms they didn't even touch). The workers were very slow, and even knowing they wouldn't finish, some of them left. We finally sent them home around 6 pm after our bill climbed to $750 and nearly 1/2 of the house still uncleaned! I could have deep cleaned the entire house in the 12-person hours they spent here. In fact, I cleaned after they left that evening! Ugh! This is without doubt, the worst experience with a cleaning service I've ever had. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I am a real estate agent and my brother referred me to green cleaning seattle. I frequently need highly detailed turn over cleaning for home staging and sales and I need it fast. I have worked with other cleaners in the past and have experienced a never-ending black hole of them forgetting this and forgetting that. But my experience with green cleaning seattle has been top notch. I have used them for 5 different homes as of present and I have not had to have them out to re-do ANYTHING on ANY of the homes they have cleaned. As a real estate agent, this is close to a miracle. And one I am really grateful for as it saves me a lot of time, money and stress.

I have a relatively small house. It’s only 1400 square feet. I am not home much - but when I am home, I don't have the time (or desire) to clean. These cleaners, yeah, are a little pricey (the "high end of normal" I would say) but it doesn't stop me from hiring them...they're worth it!!...Scheduling with them is easy and the lovely lady Ariel (who has been working there for a long time) I talk to always remembers me and likes to "catch up" when I call. From time to time, I’m here and actually see the cleaners, they’re always very courteous. They do a good job, and as long as they keep it up, I plan on staying with them forever.

I am not one to bother writing reviews unless I am really REALLY impressed with a biz. This is one of those rare cases were a business really goes above and beyond what most of our would probably expect. There are a lot of cleaning companies out there and I have tried a handful of them. But my finding Green Cleaning Seattle has been more of a relationship than just a cleaning company. I feel like I know them - not just my cleaner but the company too. Very mom-and-pops feeling business - but with better (faster) customer service. They've kind of nailed it with regard to maintaining a very "local", friendly and personal feeling while bringing the convenience of speed and great customer service and communication into the mix. We've had Green Cleaning for a little over 6 months now and we love it. Our Green Cleaner, Clay, is very nice and does a great job in our two-bedroom condo. The company is very responsive, friendly, and helpful. They worked with us when we had guests in town to reschedule our cleaning and when a small item was accidentally broken they replaced it right away. I would recommend Green Cleaning!

I scheduled service with Green Cleaning Seattle for the very first time after finding them via Google. I am a huge proponent of green cleaning products and services (having once run my own green cleaning business) and was excited to find this company and to use their service. I was moving and, as a result, was frazzled, and found that I needed to reschedule my appointment due to a series of move-related, last minute changes. When I emailed Green Cleaning Seattle to reschedule, I was confronted with a $50 cancellation fee. This is because I gave them something like 45 hours notice rather than 48 hours notice they request. Keep in mind that I was a first time client who had not previously used their service and who was hoping to reschedule rather than to cancel. In their FAQ, they tout their empathy and understanding of move-related chaos, stating their flexible policies because they get, and I am quoting here, "the chaos involved in moving!", yet they were firm on their $50 cancellation fee, and seemed more than happy to lose the future business as they did not bother to reschedule the appointment as requested, which I found odd. I would have loved to have been a patron of this business but am now left to pay a $50 fee and to also find a new cleaning service that will work with my altered move schedule. In short, reschedule or cancel your Green Cleaning Seattle service only very carefully.

I'm updating my review 5ish years later to say that I'm still using Green Cleaning Seattle's service, and still as happy as ever. I particularly appreciate how flexible they are about scheduling and payment (texting is my new method), and that they have been so great about never forgetting my address and preferences (yes, it is a weird thing to be happy about but I can't tell you how many other cleaners I have used that constantly forgot stuff and were so disorganized). And, what about the *actual clean* you ask? Yeah, perfection. They use green products - and you may wonder "does that really work"? Yes. It works. After cleaning, say my kitchen, there is no grease, no residue. Surfaces like glass and stainless are shiny and spotless. Floors are immaculate. These guys rock.

It is the details that count, especially when you're renting out your home. Pillows neatly organized, pictures straightened, blinds neatly pulled up. And then also the level of clean. Behind the TV, under the night stand. All of these things are taken care of my Green Cleaning. I use them for my rental and for my personal home. I can't recommend them enough. They not only get the job done, but they do the job in a way that I don't have to worry about anything. This is especially important to me because of my short term rental. If my rental isn't perfectly cleaned and in order, my guests will complain. Green Cleaning is a huge relief in my life.

I was in a move out crunch, I called these guys - scheduling prompt *they were full but called me back within 2 hours and said they could squeeze me in!*. They were quick, well prepared, and left the house looking better than when I moved in. There wasn't a spec of dust or dirt anywhere. I'm a detail person and I didn't have a single concern after the first clean. The cleaner was also just the right level of friendly and engaging, someone I didn't mind having in my home. Green Cleaning Seattle may be a bigger company but they started out small and they grew because they are just that good.

We have had green cleaners come to do deep cleans in our house, and recently opted for every other week service. We appreciate most of all that the house smells so nice after they are done, not of harsh chemicals. Our experiences have been very positive - their cleaners have all be nice to have in your home and have done a thorough job. We have mostly opted for help in the kitchen and bathrooms, and I am finding the more frequent service a real help in keeping on top of things as our schedules have become very busy. I always try to choose locally owned (non franchised) businesses that focus on sustainable aspects. When I called Green Cleaning Seattle, I spoke to Spencer - who took numerous notes on the specific areas I wanted cleaned. The quote was emailed to me as well as their checklist and some other documents. Their staff arrived on time the following week, went right to work, 3 people worked hard for 4 hours. They didn't bother me or make small talk (I appreciate it, I was working from home! And they knew just what to do; I appreciate only having to give my needs and home information once!) A few glitches happened, but that is to be expected the first time and they were very small. And these minor problems were handled professionally and remedied immediately. Customer service is outstanding. I have pets, am very picky that appropriate products be used, that tools are fresh and clean so my pets do not smell other people's pets, and that the deep cleaning I need is done well and efficiently. This company met all my requirements.

Happy this company comes all the way out to Shoreline too. Very nice cleaners and we are very happy with the cleaning results. Friendly nice people, hard working...and good to keep chemicals out of our house.

I have been using them for just about 2 months. The cleans have been great, and I would say have gotten better after a few cleans have passed and we made my service notes more detailed and targeted toward what I wanted. When I wasn't happy with the smell of a particular essential oil, they used, they changed it for me. Easy to talk to staff, and very helpful customer service.
