I am very pleased to recommend Brickliners. I cannot thank Justin and David who did the work on my chimney this year. I would give them a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5 (10 being above and beyond the job required). They showed up when they said they would and finished when they said they would. They took extra precaution with their scaffold on my rubberized roof by using plywood under the feet. They cleaned up after the job each day and cleaned the area when the job was finished. Justin even showed me the new material being used such that the chimney would not have to be water proofed on the outside. This just shows me they keep up on the latest technology to be used. I would highly recommend this team to anyone needing chimney repair. The office staff did a great job coordinating the job and working with me on the dates. They were easy to talk to and work with.

It all starts at the beginning! When you call their Administrative Assistant is fast and efficient. If she says she is going to call you right back she does. The on site staff are professional and knowledgeable and take the time to answer all the questions you may have. Because of chimney fire our liner cracked. They came and installed a new steel liner. The work was well done, and the two guys that were here were very personable and professional. The only thing I would recommend, is that they tell homeowners that there is the very real possibility of black soot. My wife cam home late in the evening while I was out of state. She spent four hours cleaning. We would have covered the doorway that lead to the rest of the rooms with plastic and they could have used the front door to go in and out. She also would have covered the others items in the room and removed the coat rack that had soot on all of the jackets. Thanks Gary

We hired Bricklayers for a routine sweep. Mike, the technician, came and did a thorough inspection and found an issue with the chimney. He also discovered we had had a chimney fire. He wrote up a report, a recommendation and an estimate. We were able to get our insurance company to help fix the damage. Mike and his team came back a couple of week later and did an awesome job. They found three blockages and thought they would have to go through the walls to fix the issue. They put in several hours of additional, backbreaking work to avoid going through the walls, but still stuck to the estimate. They were very concerned about the dust coming in (more so than we were) and left the place spotless, which was no easy task. The office was quick to get us all paperwork for the insurance company and could not have been more accommodating with our schedule. We got lucky calling bricklayers. I'd recommend them to anyone. These guys are true pros.

So folks, here is the wonderful story of a great company represented by Bradley and of one of the best customer service experiences I have experienced in my lifetime and I am no spring chicken. Have seen them all: good, bad and indifferent. Bradley, this was the best in customer service that I have ever seen in my years now in Vermont. You need to know a few things before I dive in. I've been a CEO of several large service oriented businesses over my career. Also note... I am a perfectionist. Bradley D. Coulman who has a senior position in this company, comports himself as if he owns the place. What a great vibe to give off. Such a vibe is the best way to approach a customer bar none. So I said, "This is your company?" He said," I treat it as such!" My wife and I who just bought a new home, feared that one of the wonderful features of this home, the fireplace might have some real issues as it was changed out to carry a wood-burning stove. Bradley might have preyed on our fears, might have invented some scenarios that worked right into our fears... instead he reported the news as he saw it. That from what he could see after thorough investigating the fireplace .... it was in good working order. He figured out where we might place the wood-burning stove with proper venting. Assured us he would restore the fireplace in the shape it was in and how we want it, as no big deal cost wise. All connected costs ball-parked seemed reasonable. And the final news, from a hard grader in the arena of customer service, because of Bradley... Brickliners Custom Masonry & Chimney Services are getting my first-ever A+ grade, richly deserved. If you have needs in the world of Chimney and Masonry work these are by far the best folks!!!! 2/6/2019 Last week, during single digit temps, I arrived home at 4:30 PM to a house filled with smoke; the wood stove insert was back puffing as gusts of strong north wind howled . I immediately called Brickliners, got a voice message with emergency phone numbers. Shortly, a gentleman named Richard called, quickly gathered the basic info...realized I did not have back up heat (i.e. no furnace in a 19th century house) and assured me he'd be by ASAP. He obviously by-passed dinner...arrived as darkness fell, and not only swept the chimney but waited to make certain the fire caught and burned properly, before leaving. What stands out most in my mind is that down to earth presence you rarely experience with a professional...and his positive, kind, gentle demeanor. I joked with him, "You actually seem to CARE about what you're doing." He smiled, kidding back.."Well I guess I've pulled the wool over your eyes!" He also has a venerable work ethic, ( it's no mean feat replacing the bricks in the upper part of the fire chamber), thoroughly vacuumed the stove/stove pipe and possibly my rug...I nominate Richard K as Employee of the Year. The chimney on our 27 year old home needed repair; it was occasionally leaking into the house and I could see with binoculars there was cracking and crumbling between the bricks at a minimum and likely leaky lead flashing as well. I called a few chimney contractors that people suggested, but I rarely got a call back and the two prices I received seemed terribly high to me. Then, having seen Brickliners trucks around town, I called Brickliners and all of a sudden things got easier and better! The ladies in the office were really polite and helpful and we made an appointment for Adam to come take a look. He climbed right up to the chimney, did a thorough examination, took photos, and explained all that needed to be done, along with a preliminary cost estimate. I then received the written estimate promptly by email and signed on the dotted line! I had the work done early in the season, receiving an early season discount. The fellows who came and did the job were very personable, knowledgeable, neat and efficient. The job was done in less than two days and the chimney looks great. I asked them how I could tell they did a great job (it's not like I can walk up to my chimney and check it out!) and they explained they take pictures to show Jake back at the office, so he knows every job is performed to the highest standards. Bottom line, friendly, professional, fairly priced (chimney work, by its very nature is expensive!), time efficient, solid warranty, all great!

The Brickliner Crew took 8 hours to do a warranty job that they told me would be 3 hours. Left a mess inside our fireplace / firebox, a residue from the liner that looks like foam but is rock solid. We called to complain, still haven't heard back from management. This was a warranty job for a new liner they placed in our chimney 3 years prior (at a cost of $7,000) and needed to be redone already. It was supposed to last 20 years. Hope this review will spark a response from the management of Brickliners. We would like the mess left behind by their employees cleaned up.

They called a few day before the visit as a reminder and then again on the day of the cleaning/inspection to let me know they were about 20 minutes out. I then got a text when they were done, and the report later the same evening. There wasn’t a single footprint or speck of soot or dirt in the house and the wood stove and stovepipe are clean as a whistle!

I called Brickliners for a dryer vent cleaning and evaluation. The corrugated tubing needed to be replaced and they were prepared do it during that visit. They quickly prepared a quote and presented it. A trip to the shop was needed to get more materials because the venting takes the longest route possible through the condo attic. They removed the corrugated tubing that was sitting right on the drywall and installed rigid insulated tubing above the insulation on a much shorter route. They were polite and tidy and my dryer is much more efficient as they predicted. I am already set up for my next cleaning. I highly recommend them.

Brad was great, very thorough and it was obvious from the beginning that he is incredibly knowledgeable. I asked him to come over and give me an estimate for replacing the top chimney blocks outside, and he ended up coming in and teaching me a great deal about my specific stove and the way everything works. Unfortunately, we found some extra, unexpected issues which were more than my wife and I were prepared to take on, but Brad went through everything and explained what he was seeing, why it was important, and what needed to happen to make everything up to snuff. Knowing that we likely would not want to take on the work, Brad still promptly sent over a thorough quote for everything we would need should we want to move forward. I'm not sure when we will tackle this (even if it is to completely remove the chimney), but when we do we'll be using Brickliners.

Crooked business! The price gougers at brickliners estimated our chimney work to cost $3700. Our neighbor who is a Mason estimated the work to cost $900 and offered to do it for us in about a day. These guys are absolutle crooks! They also do not employ Masons. They train "technicians" to do Mason work. What a scam! Our neighbor explained that Brickliners are typically the most expensive people to contract. They were going to charge us nearly $4000 for a day's work. Shameful!
