Haven't used their service personally (too expensive), but a friend worked for them briefly and was fired after only a few days but wasn't given any reason for the termination. Basically the secretary (acting as manager because they can't even staff the place with a manager) didn't like her and had her fired to protect herself. All her trainers had told her she did well and knew what she was doing. Any company that treats their employees with such disrespect don't deserve your business. Go elsewhere.

Not worth it for what you get. Cost almost $300 and took their crew 3 1/2 hours to “deep” clean a small condo that personally wouldn’t have taken me that long to clean by myself (and do a better job). Take into account the fact that it was almost already clean, it looks like the only thing they did was vacuum. Kitchen was not mopped like promised, counters still had food on them. Stay away from this service.

I've been a loyal customer, for the Merry Maids Provo, for over a year now. I called this morning (Monday at 9:30 am) to reschedule my cleaning (which was happening tomorrow, Tuesday), because I'm having rooms painted in my house and everything is out of order. If I had known the painters were coming on Monday, I would have called/canceled earlier...but I've been on a waiting list with my painting company and I was not notified until Sunday night that they were coming the next morning. I was told this would be a $50 charge to change because they needed 48 hours notice....but they are not open on Sundays. I'm so so so disappointed with how I was treated. They obviously are more concerned about money than they are their loyal customers. They lost a customer today. Hopefully they can get their act together and understand their customers have busy lives as well and things come up. Also, at the beginning of my service, the cleaning was done really well. As the year went on, the cleaners got lazy and didn't clean as well. Lots of things were overlooked, and sometimes certain area's were missed all together.

First off I have to say that I have used Merry Maids before for some of our rental properties in Salt Lake but and we absolutely LOVED them! So I had some pretty high expectations but after reading the last 2 reviews I was a little nervous to use the service in Orem but we did and it was FANTASTIC! I was very impressed with the level of detail they go through to get a very dirty college rental back to sparkling clean! There turn around time was also unbelievable, I called on Tuesday afternoon and they came out the very next day.

This company is very un-professional! I am the first person to write positive reviews when I feel a company is outstanding and rarely write negative reviews unless they are just beyond bad. They do not care about their customers or listen AT ALL. Every time they would come I would give them another chance to redeem themselves and EVERY time it just got worse. They don't communicate your wishes and are not very nice to work with. My scheduled cleanings were always messed up (they never came when they were supposed to) and they didn't even call me to let me know when they were coming I had to call them every time and find out my requested times were not honored. They are very expensive too and do a poor job cleaning, most the time after they would leave the only place I could tell they cleaned was the kitchen. Not worth the money I was spending! They also broke something in my house and still charged my card after I called to cancel because at that point I was so mad! Lastly when I called to cancel they didn't care one bit it was rather disgusting how much they could care less to lose a customer, especially a customer like me that would have been very loyal and never missed payments!

I was not very happy with the outcome. I know coming into it might have been a little overwhelming to her, but I texted her boss very specific things I wanted done first. But, I have worked with cleaning companies for the last 20 years and no one initially came over to give me a quote on what needed to be done and then when they charged my card there was no way that kind of work had been done compared to the cost. No receipt was left and when i called to request one they said they never provide receipts unless requested. I run my own company and couldn't not have a paper trail with where my money goes. I wanted to get on a regular schedule with them, but after seeing the work and the cost I will not. I will be looking for another service.

Well let’s talk about Merry Maids for a moment shall we. They send two people over to clean our apartment which has been completely cleared out as a move out. They spend 7 hours which includes coming back a second day and barely do any work. Not to mention they lowered our thermostat to 60 degrees and then open the windows and leave it. I get it that it was hot that weekend, but I’m pretty sure that messing with thermostats that they don’t pay for doesn’t fall under the job description. It seriously makes me wonder what on earth they did during that time they said that they were there. Well thanks merry maids for a piss poor job and a high electricity bill that we all know you’ll deny responsibility for. To everyone reading this.. be very cautious about considering this company. I’m sure not all of their cleaners are incompetent and probably do a great job, but unfortunately for them, a few bad apples just ruined it for the rest of them.

Overall, Merry Maids did a great job on the house we are putting on the market. One storage room could have had a better job done on the shelves, which I asked them to come back and finish. They did come back, but only vacuumed and dusted the shelves, and didn't use a cleaner to get off stains. So I ended up doing it myself. Other than that, they did a fine job.

The woman in charge, who told me 8 hours of deep cleaning dropped off two non-English speaking women who had no idea what I wanted, so just did a slight going over of the house. They griped about what they did have to do, and that their boss said 2 hours at the most, simple job.. They had not been told, as I was that it was a 2 day thorough cleaning My brother is bilingual,, but they were already angry because the boss was leaving them there for 3 hours that he didn't say anything. I would never recommend them to anyone..

The first time they came, they didn’t follow the priority list well, and didn’t even touch the inside of the fridge (which was mentioned as the top priority). The didn’t even dust the top of it. They apologized and sent out cleaners the next day to clean again - they sort of cleaned the fridge, but I took a wet Kleenex to some spots on the shelves and I wiped residue right off. There was a chunk of something in a drawer, and that cleaned right off when I touched it. Totally unacceptable, and they had two tries to make things right. Don’t expect anything more than a weak wipe down of anything you need cleaned.

The team that cleans our home treats it like it's their own. Even light housekeeping means that every surface is dusted and the floors are clean. Estella always checks to see how my parents are doing and is a truly caring person. She will even do small special requests when she has time. One day, we forgot to make the bed and when they left, the bed was made! The wonderful cinnamon fragrance that fills the house makes cleaning day extra special. We love having them care for our home.

On Oct 22, 2014 I had them come clean my house I was quoted $275.00 and that I would get a $50.00 off bringing my total to $225.00. That was what they originally charged my card. They came and did the work. There was a few minor issues but nothing major. I checked my account a couple of days later and found that they charged me an additional $50.00. I have called several times about this and they apologize for the mistake and promise that they will get it taken care of right away. As of today Jan 27,2015 I still have not received my money back.

Everyone that comes to clean my house is very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. There are many maids, so you don't know who is going to show up. This doesn't matter too much, but sometimes they do things differently. For example, some of them will fold all your bathroom towels a certain way and others don't touch the towels at all. I have them cleaning just part of my house; my bathrooms and kitchen. All of my bathrooms are by rooms with carpet in them. As they clean the bathrooms, dust and little pieces of garbage invariably end up right outside the bathroom doors. Some will vacuum that up but others won't since they clean only the bathrooms. I just vacuum after they leave. The rooms that are cleaned are always very clean and smell so good! If I call with an issue, they are very good to take care of it. It is easy to get a hold of Merry Maids. If I leave a message they are good to return my call in a timely manner. I wish I could give half stars. I give them 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. I would give 5 but I think it's a little pricey.

My kitchen had some areas covered with sticky cooking spray and they worked hard on those areas and did a really good job getting them clean! Because of that, a few items I wished they had cleaned didn't get cleaned. They didn't have enough time. They also couldn't reach the high cobwebs.

I did not use them, I just called for a quote, which they were very hesitant to give me, and I can see why. I told them I was interested in a move out cleaning. Meaning, the home is empty, I just wanted windows washed, and bathrooms and kitchen cleaned. For a 1700 sq. ft. home, they said it'd be $98/hr for 3-4 hours. So, $400?? CRAZY expensive and so not worth it.
