We hired cottage care to do a cleaning of the home we purchased before moving in. When we arrived following the cleaning we were very confused because it looked as though nothing had been done. There was dust and dirt in the cabinets, the bathroom was dirty, the stove was caked with dirt, the floors had not been cleaned - there was even an huge bug on the floor. They emailed a checklist and I selected that these things be cleaned. It was very stressful because I assumed that the house would be move in ready and we had already scheduled the move in so I was frantically trying to clean before the movers arrived in the morning. When I called Cottage Care the woman I spoke with was argumentative and said that she was there personally for a few hours and even wanted to debate what kind of bug was on the floor. I finally called corporate who apologized and gave me a full refund.

Very disappointed. I am giving a one star because their employees are very kind and were apologetic however I paid $280 for move in cleaning for the whole house. Master bedroom looks like it wasn't even touched white residue and dust was still on the floor from before they came to clean bathroom was still dirty. Inside of the cabinets were still dirty. Dust and mildew and water spots still on the shower head and faucets in the master bathroom. I was told that they tried to clean the white residue and it didn't come off but when I cleaned it with just water it wash away like with no problem. I really want my money back. At least the money for my master bedroom.

Cottage Care has been helping us out for years now. We have used them for move in and move out cleans as well as regular cleaning. With our busy schedules it's nice to know that the house being clean isn't something we have to worry about. Can't recommend them enough.

I am a first time customer of this company (St. Andrews location) and am highly dissatisfied with the poor service received. I paid $288 for move out services and upon my return to the home dust was on the ceiling fans, bathrooms were partially cleaned, the stove top was slightly touched and the quality of care received by the home office was slim. The yound ladies in the office on Friday, July 20 around 4:20p were slightly empathic yet rather unbothered. When asked for the corporate office number, I was told following a brief hold that it was unknown and to look it up myself. I had plans in tact to plave my house on the market tomorrow (which I worked very hard for and waited months to do). Now, I can't! Im immensely hurt and even ashamed of having to write such a reveiw about a company. Ive contacted the corporate office to file a complaint and am praying someone reaponds accordingly.I have pictures and am totally appalled that a company would think this is okay.

I have tired many, many house cleaning companies over the years and this is the first time I have been 100% satisfied. Jennifer took my call, answered all my questions, gave me an exact price and her ladies showed up exactly when I was told. So refreshing! I had them come in to clean just my bathrooms and my kitchen. They did a good job on the kitchen and a decent job on the 2 smaller bathrooms. But the shower and the tub in the master bathroom were left in just about the same state as I left them. And it was OBVIOUSLY not clean which means they were conscious of the poor job they did. I keep my house generally clean, so for the $100 I paid them this was an easy job. I called and Virginia offered to send someone out to fix it on Monday. I explained to her that wouldn’t work because I ordered the cleaning for a get together at my house tomorrow. She offered to send someone back out today but I do have a job and I couldn’t leave to accommodate them coming back out to fix a problem they created in the first place. And since they don’t work on Saturday, she said she couldn’t send someone out first thing in the morning. To think I allowed someone into my home and paid them to do a job and they just didn’t do it really disgusts me. I think the least they could have done was make an exception to have someone come back on Saturday to do what I paid them to do. I’ll eat that $100 I paid them. But I will NEVER use Cottage Care again.
