I have had my wool braided, 7'x9', rug cleaned several times by Zakian. They pick up the rug and listen to my concerns about stains, etc.. The rug is in the kitchen. Their employee's are very professional and prices are reasonable. I have never had a bad experience. The deliver the rug after it has been cleaned and are always prompt. It has given my rug, extended life.

If zero stars was an option I would choose that. My oriental rug is over 21 years old, it is not a display piece hanging on a wall; this rug has been used, and tenderly stepped on for over 21 years and it still invokes the same compliments today was it did when I first purchased it. I have primarily dealt with one company during this time period: Zakian Rug Cleaning. In that time both my name and address have changed, but I have continued to deal with the same company. I find it hard to believe that they do not update their records to include such vital information (however, during this time I continue to receive offer letters and coupons offering their services) and, more so, I cannot believe how their services have deteriorated. I recently scheduled an appointment to have the carpet cleaned, and even though they could not find my name in the system, they scheduled an appointment to pick up the rug. I missed the pick-up time through a miscommunication, and someone I believe to be named "Vicky" called to reschedule. The day before the rug was to be delivered, I received the called from "Vicky" to inform me that a corner of the rug was still wet, and they would be unable to deliver it back to my home the next day , as scheduled. The next delivery day offered for our area would not be for several days (close to a week). I was disappointed to say the least. I believed they should have made an effort to deliver the rug sooner, and I informed Vicky of that in a calm manner. She became instantly irritated and cut me off multiple times, "ma'am ma'aming" me. I asked to speak to her manager, and spoke to Zakian himself and now understand where she got her customer service skills. The rug was eventually delivered, no cleaner than when it was picked up. And it certainly had not been deodorized, an extra service I had paid for. I called Mr. Zakian and reported as much. He agreed not to charge for the deodorizing of the rug. I would like to inform Mr. Zakian that he no longer has to worry about dealing with my rug as his services are no longer required.

Many years ago my mother told me that Zakian Rug Cleaning is the BEST and only rug cleaning company that she would ever use. I should have listened!!! I moved to New Jersey and had another company clean my beautiful Karastan rug and it came back maroon not burgundy!!! That's when I remembered Mom said always use Zakian. Not only are they the best rug cleaners but they also do amazing rug repairs. I have 2 very old Persian rugs that I thought I would have to throw away (one was chewed by my sweet puppy, the other one was in such bad shape I was embarrassed to even ask if it could be repaired). I also had some work done on the rug which had been my Mother’s so it is special to me. They fixed the area that was ripped took off the fringe which was worn out and did a binding on it. They pick up and drop off your rugs, and for two or more they do it free. Nice people. I have called with concerns and the office got me the right people to talk to. They know rugs and adjust the cleaning according to type of rug: they know what they’re doing. When one needed fixing they called and told me how much it would be so I could decide. They are not cheap but we have good rugs and those cleaning machines you can rent don’t do nearly as good a job.

They threw away my rug! Ug! :-( No calls about the status I would not even give this place a star but it forced me to in order to post. What a scam. I would give it a negative 5 stars if I could. Don't trust them. They picked up 3 rugs from my house on wed. I did not here from them. I call this afternoon. They said everything is good they will deliver them next Wed. I get a call just before 5 today friday 7/13/2018, and they said we sorry but the rug was throw out. I said check the dumpster . They called me back and said the truck just hauled it away. It seems fishy. Did they make a mistake or is it greed? Did they really throw it away or did they clean it to resell? Angry frustrated and annoyed! How will I break the news to Mom about her family heirloom. Should I buy another one similar an not tell her? I told them to let me know if they had any issues. Why didn't they call? It was a really nice rug. Mom said it was from over seas and hand made from the middle east.

Not only were the seats on my dining room chairs done well, but also the oriental rugs. That was only part of the experience that was so positive. Every single worker that I talked to or came out from telephone to cleaner to pick up and delivery were the most professional people I have dealt with. When there was a slight mix-up the delivery men were capable at explaining the issue (both of our last names were similar and our rug numbers were identical except the last number which were 4 and 9. That looked similar). So only praise and satisfaction with the job from beginning to end.

Quick, responsive service, 1 week turnaround time for a sizeable oriental rug. Pick up/drop off times location-specific and can be a little tricky if you don’t have days off mid-week. Was sold on a scotch guard service when the rug was picked up. I called that afternoon after I changed my mind and wanted to 86 the scotch guard option...they ended up doing it anyway and I was charged for it, which was kind of frustrating. Overall the team picking up and dropping off were polite and efficient and I was satisfied with the cleaning. The people I spoke to were all professionals. The up-selling at time of pickup and failure to communicate my change of mind re: additional services was a little frustrating.
