I really wanted Hank and his crew to clean my gutters and deck. His company had excellent reviews here on google, and he gave me a reasonable price. I asked for liability insurance, and Hank gave me two certificates via email when he got on site to do the job. The certs were from prior high profile clients that supposedly expired June 2018. I immediately did my due diligence and checked with the local insurance company, and the policy was terminated in July 2017. Unfortunately I had Hank come down off the ladder before he actually started the work, and stop. Really a shame, as Hank seemed like a stand up guy and gave me a reasonable price. But I don't want anyone working on a ladder on my property without valid liability insurance.
