Arthur was polite, but that's the only nice thing I can say about him.
The company, which I think is just his cell phone, was hard to reach. He didn't return my first voicemail, and then it took 4 days to reach someone by phone. We scheduled an appointment on a Monday before moving out of state on Tuesday. They missed our appointment Monday. Then we rescheduled for for Tuesday, and they missed the appointment without a call or text. Then we rescheduled for a third time, and I got a text from Arthur, who forgot how many hours I had requested when I booked the appointment. He didn't contact me to clear up the hours he forgot about until after you had begun work. He didn't charge me for the overage, thank goodness. But because they failed to do the work while I'd be around, Arthur promised me that to make it right, he'd at least take before and after photos. He didn't take pictures as he had said he would, which I had to pester him about twice over 3 days to get a reply with the bad news.
Finally, after the work was finally done, I asked my landlord if the cleaning was done well. My landlord is a really nice, reasonable man, who isn't very nit-picky or particular, a very normal, level headed 30-something year old. This is my landlord's assessment of the work:
"To be frank they did a pretty bad job. Baseboard really wasn't hit, there was still pet dander on floor and it looks like there was tracks from salt and shoes, i expected a better cleaning in the bathrooms especially the grout and caulking areas really weren't touched as they tend to be the most dirty, laundry room didn't look like it was hit. I will say the refrigerator was nicely done and the kitchen. Oh and front and back door they didn't hit the glass."
I now have to send this guy a check for the full, agreed upon sum of $85 for the work that was barely done. The house was completely empty, there's no reason that the floors should be dirty, baseboards dusty, bathrooms dirty and glass not cleaned.
