DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Its nothing more than a poorly managed franchise that the previous owner ran into the ground in Rocky Mount. The woman who runs this one now is heading in the same direction: lacking any sort of business ethics or acumen. Arrangement for cleaning services commenced with a disagreement as to the services actually NEEDED vs excessive foolishness she was intent on selling: which were completely unnecessary and a colossal waste of time. I repeatedly discussed the service and pricing PRIOR to the first visit: only basic service for one 89 year old woman's residence: dust, vac small, older 3 BR home, clean 2 baths & the kitchen every other week. Simple enough, except for the fact that I was dealing with an unscrupulous and greedy woman, intent on ripping off an elderly woman. First visit: residence cleaned as requested above. Second visit: the women showed up late, stayed for only 40 minutes, skipped the third BR and bath, and demanded the same amount of money as the first visit which INCLUDED the third bed and bath. The owner stuttered over the fact that her sneaky employees arrived late and worked for only 40 minutes. Then she claimed the third bed and bath were NOT included in the service, despite the fact they were, previously agreed upon and performed by the drones at the first visit. I terminated this useless service IMMEDIATELY. You can find a better and more honest cleaning service by hiring a guy at an intersection stoplight who cleans windshields with a dirty rag. There is a special place in the Ninth Circle for greedy people who prey on elderly people, and I hope this ratty franchise goes straight to bankruptcy. I would have given it a -5 stars, but there wasn't an option to do that. STEER CLEAR AND FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

It is so comforting to know that I don't have to worry about cleaning my house anymore! There were a few things that required clarification about expectations, but these were addressed on the next visit and have been handled each visit after. I cannot recommend this business enough!!!

I was initially interested in hiring Merry Maids because they are a reputable company with an A+ rating through the BBB. I was trying to arrange a 'move-out' clean up from out-of-state but quickly discovered that there were no Merry Maid offices in the county where the house was located. However, Merry Maids put me in contact with their closest office and I was relieved to hear that they would be willing to travel a bit (i.e., 30 minutes) to help me out. Customer service was super friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They kept me updated throughout the project as well as afterwards to make sure that everything was done as needed. Cost was reasonable, they were flexible with the dates I gave them and worked the job in quickly, they arrived when they said they would, and they kept at it until the entire house was spic-and-span. You guys rock! Thank you, Merry Maids! I plan to use you again.
