KUDOS to Merry Maids in Raleigh for doing an excellent job 'deep cleaning' our home! They arrived on time and immediately got to work. No 'dilly dallying' whatsoever. The staff was very personable - which is very rare these days. They attentitively LISTENED to all my many special requests, and cleaned to 125% PERFECTION. Our home has a lot of antique 'do dads,' so the most impressive and positive part of our experience with Merry Maids was that ALL articles and objects were cleaned, dusted and returned to the same spot they found them, thereby giving us the PLEASURE of not having to tidy up AFTER they left! Merry Maids is, by far, the BEST cleaning service we have EVER engaged, and believe me, we've used quite a few! Without a doubt, we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Merry Maids. They were also very reasonable. White glove service all the way! We felt like we were their only clients!!!

I have been using this service for a couple months now and just cancelled. I had a plan for floors and bathrooms only. Today they came and it was very obvious they didn't do the floors at all. They did the bathrooms, but again not the floors in the bathrooms. They were willing to send their crew out again, but I no longer trust them and do not want them back in my home. I give their management credit though for having some great customer service as they really tried to make things right and ended up refunded me for the cleaning. I think I just got a crew that wasn't interested in keeping me as a client.

MY HOUSE HAS NEVER BEEN SO CLEAN! I'm a single mother and i work 70 hours a week so finding time to clean is very difficult. Walking in to a clean home after a 14 hour shift brought tears to my eyes! They let me know when they were done and I inspected the work which totally met my expectations. They did a really good job of cleaning up the house and they did it quickly (~3 hours for a 2400 sq. ft. home) and relatively quietly. Aside from the occasional vacuum sounds I barely noticed they were here and was able to work effectively. I paid $265 for a top to bottom clean, in which I was informed baseboards were included. (They were not- I did them myself.) I gave all three ladies $20 each- and I don't think the service reflected the amount of money I spent. My first problem was the "leader" of the group was very rude. There was no introduction, so I have no names. She immediately made snarky comments about my 950 sq ft apartment. She said,"We'll do the best we can." In a snotty voice. And then made a joke in a language that I couldn't understand. Sorry, I've had pneumonia for 10 days so don't give me a hard time for it not being spotless. I had to run out to Target and buy bleach because they didn't have any (?) Towards the end of the two hours (I would have been better off paying by the hour) she asked me if I was satisfied. I said no and pointed to many obvious spots that were easy to clean. There was attitude from there. She knocked over my cat's (huge) water bowl leaving me to pick it up and wipe down the damage.(Hello mildew, if I hadn't been home!) I took pictures of all the areas that didn't look good, but why bother. The one shining bright spot was the woman who did the family room. She did more work and a better job than the "boss lady" and spoke to me as if I was a person. I wish I had given her more of a tip than the others. She was the only one that cared when my pets were missing, too. Finally the woman in charge said in a snotty voice "we're leaving." Um, okay thanks for leaving before you finished! Top to bottom shouldn't have a time limit, that's why I chose that option instead of the cheaper option! She obviously wanted to move on to another house, so I feel I did not get the full service I paid for. Being that they were late to my home, that made me feel great! When my fiance got home he said the blinds looked good, which made me laugh because plastic blinds are the one thing they specifically don't do! I don't know if it was a bad day or what, but since I handed the "group leader" all three $20 bills, I hope she split them evenly among the team- because she did nothing that warranted a bigger cut. The phone service is impeccable, they offered to send someone out to fix the areas I took pictures of immediately because I was so unhappy with the attitude I got and the dirtiness left behind. I don't even know if I want them to come back because they were very unfriendly, and I don't like the way they spoke to me and knocked over a gigantic thing of water leaving it to puddle and mildew into the ground. The group leader even tried to convince me that one of the noticeable spots they missed was part of the wood on my cabinets. It most definitely is not, but a sponge is a cheaper option at this point then dealing with her attitude. I even borrowed one of their rags to start wiping down easy areas myself! 1 star for the group leader. 5 stars for the woman that did the family room!!, and 5 stars for the staff I called for offering to fix the problem!! I don't think other customers will have the same problems that I did. I think part of why I was treated so dismissively is that I look young for my age and I'm a small girl, with a small apartment.

I have pictures to back up what I say, but can’t see how to load them with this review. Floors are not clean - I actually think the entry/dining/kitchen floor is dirtier than when I left this morning. Hardwood floors are sticky, streaked, and dull - the same floors that I just had sanded and refinished less than 6 months ago. Apparently they don’t bother to sweep behind doors, or wash the bathroom floors. I am paying $150 for two people to work 2 hours, and I do not leave a dirty house. I don’t wear shoes past the entry, I regularly sweep and swiffer. At most I might leave a glass or a bowl in the sink (none this morning). No excuse. Recently they actually made up the bed by putting clean sheets over the dirty sheets! (I ended up buying a new set of sheets because I could not fathom where the bottom fitted sheet could have possibly gone.). The same dead bug stayed in the corner of the carpet for over a month. I thought I would see how long it stayed, but finally had enough and specifically asked them to vacuum that corner. Any recommendations for a quality cleaning service in Raleigh?
