I highly recommend the Merry Maids. I have used them multiple times. They are very dependable and do a very thorough job, and are easy to work with. I've used them primarily to do deep cleaning of a rental condo I owned.

Inconsistent cleaning. They told us to let us know and they would tell us clean next time (never happened). Also, overpriced. Left many spots untouched. Each time there was a new cleaner (reducing likelihood of accountability). We didn’t know what time they were coming until the day before. Sometimes they would confirm. Other times just show up unannounced (once while I was getting dressed for work.) Other times, they wouls arrive late and leave early. This was not reflected in billing, so we were overcharged regularly. Worst of all is that our home iPad (that never ever leaves home) was stolen and they never denied it. Claimed they would follow up and never did. We were encouraged to file a police report without any restitution whatsoever. They were terminated. I hope this review helps someone so they will not have to experience what we did.

Overall, I'd rate them as "good". There was an obvious decline in effort as time passed. Initially they went above and beyond, but it eventually got to the point where they only seem to do the bare minimum. To be fair, I've had the same experience with other cleaning companies, and I am getting the service I paid for. The reason for the lower rating is specifically for the decline in the quality of work, instead of consistently exceptional service. There is also a bit of a language barrier with some of the cleaners. This does not affect my rating at all, but does make it difficult to communicate any specific requests.

The ladies on 9/23 did an excellent job per my instructions. However, last month, the ladies left dust on furniture and did not have a proper mop, so floor was not clean. I had to dust and mop after they left. I was not happy with their service on that visit. Please make sure your staff have the proper cleanup tools. I don't consider a medal stick and a cloth a mop.

Hired Merry Maids to thoroughly clean my enclosed balcony. Asked when I made the appointment, with Lorraine, whether they would be able to clean the grout, in particular, to its original color. Was given an "absolutely yes"! WRONG, HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Even though the women (Kim and Emily) tried their best they did not have the proper equipment (products) to complete this task. With a verbal guarantee of grout that would be brought back to its original color as when installed, was the only reason I hired this company! I'm sure that was said to secure the job. If you want clean grout, stay away from this Merry Maids! Would never recommend this company for any type of cleaning as there are too many other cleaning companies out there looking for business!

worst cleaning service ever. we hired them to clean our house before moving in. They had to reschedule the appoint to after our move in date (so when all the boxes and furniture were then in the house) and didn't actually clean anything. Dust wast ill on the baseboards and windows, and house looked no different than before they started. We called them back to fix it, they sent the same cleaning person, who then brought a malfunctioning vacuum cleaner that spit dirt out ONTO the floor, and then left it like that. We then had them come back a third time to fix it, and they again did nothing, at which point they tried charging us as if they actually completed any of the jobs. We ended up hiring another cleaning company who did it right the first time, and then had to fight with Merry Maids and eventually pay them for services they didn't provide. I would have rather paid my 5 year old.

While cleaning my bathroom, one of the employees accidentally hit the water valve by the toilet. It broke and flooded my bathroom and bedroom. Upon returning home, the employee stated that she was cleaning around the the toilet to me and my neighbor. The plumber stated that the valve could not have broken unless someone hit it. The employee changed her story and told her employer that she was cleaning the sink and not the toilet, so their insurance denied the claim and left me with $10,000 worth of damage and repair costs. We know it was an accident, but to leave me with that mess and bill is the most unprofessional thing I've ever experienced. They clean well, but good luck if they break anything. They will NOT take responsibility and you will be left with the bill. STEER CLEAR.

The staff was polite and friendly however the cleaning was subpar. I paid $200 for what was supposed to be a deep clean of a small 2 bedroom 2 bath home. They sent 2 women out for about an hour. They did a basic clean. Cabinets were not wiped down, window sills had dust, vacuuming in the bedroom was spotty, the bathroom sink still had toothpaste on it. Also, the cleaning supplies smelled like the fake cherry stuff they clean the chik-fil-aplaygrounds with. I have used many cleaning services and the work they did was not even close to a deep clean.

Our service from Merry Maids started out great a couple of years ago but for some reason this year has been terrible. We had a regular cleaning in January and the first thing the ladies said was how clean the house looked so we guessed that’s why a lot of things were missed. Then we scheduled a deep cleaning for May which took them less than an hour to do. None of the ceiling fans, baseboards, window sills, etc. were done. We complained and they sent a new crew out. The new crew said the first one missed regular things that should have been done with just a basic cleaning. The new crew also missed almost everything. I made a list and they sent yet another crew. Same thing. I called Glenda and asked her to come out that afternoon so I could show her everything that was missed. She and I went through the list and the house and she agreed that everything should have been done. We had company coming that afternoon so we dropped it. I called Glenda a couple of weeks ago to see if they wanted to give it another shot for a basic cleaning and some of the items that were missed earlier. We requested the original crew of three we had two years ago and they said they would send them. Two of them showed up and were done in 45 minutes. Not one of the items on the list were done, rims of toilets were not scrubbed, kitchen counters and back splashes were not cleaned and I ran out of time to look for the rest. I even bought two hours of service last summer for a friend of ours to have her and her mother’s house cleaned after her mother passed away. We feel like they are having fun with us now. Sorry Merry Maids, no more chances. The Owners response appears to be "canned" so they are not too concerned with customer service. You have a great day too.

Greatest thing I've ever done for myself and my home. The girls not only take the stress of cleaning away for me (which is fabulous in itself) but they are wonderful in every which way-very friendly, very observant, eager to please, efficient, and always leaving my house beautifully and elegantly finished. If I have a request, they fill it. If I need a little extra oomph in certain areas (for when I'm having a party or any company is expected) they deliver. Thank you for being so great!

I called the merry maids to clean my studio apartment before moving in. There was no furniture the apartment was empty which I thought is easier for cleaning. During my consultation appointment I explained in detail what needed to be cleaned and what I specifically wanted cleaned. I pointed out each area, space, window screens, cabinets etc. they sent 3 woman and were done in an hour and half!!! I was so excited to see my apartment after work so I could move myself. I was anything BUT HAPPY when I saw my apartment. Paint still on the floor, adhesive tape still in the cabinets from the people living there before me, the walls and floor full of dust, my windows and screen doors filled with dust and dirt. The Windows weren't even cleaned. The bathroom wasn't cleaned. Nothing was cleaned. The way it looked before was the same way it looked after they finished. I'm sorry I didn't take off work that day because they didn't deserve to be paid. They are expensive. I HAD TO FIND A CLEANING LADY TO CLEAN MY APARTMENT. MY personal maid who charged 1/4 of what they charge did a much better job. I HAD TO PAY 1 lady to clean what they were paid to clean!!! Total WASTE OF MONEY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!! The WORST $270 I ever paid. Disgusting how anyone can rob someone. Customer service is so important and merry maids were Such a huge disappointment!!!! They over promised and under delivered!!!!!! I even reached out to them and the lady ignored my calls and texts because she knew what she did was wrong. TERRIBLE!!! Merry Maids are dishonorable. Money is money but I guess they treat those who pay hundreds of dollars like VIPS CAUSE IM SORRY BUT I Can't AGREE WITH ANY OF THE COMMENTS BELOW.

Our Merry Maid Team was recently changed to Patty-Team Captain WOW!!! We didn't really know what we were missing out on with our weekly cleanings until Patty took over our cleaning detail in our home. Patty-the team captain usually works with various other Merry Maids and trains them. Patty arrives and begin immediately cleaning. She is organized and has a system of checks. Patty works as a true team to ensure that everything is done. In the past we had thought we were on a rotation of cleaning tasks and mentioned it to the MM office on several occasions. We were informed that the entire house was supposed to be cleaned each week. Well NOW, under Patty's lead everything is clean and fresh. Patty & her trainee work confidently and efficiently to ensure our home is clean top to bottom and in all the little nooks and corners. One outstanding thing I can mention is that they are never on the phone or taking multiple calls during our clean as was the case with the other Merry Maid teams that came to clean. Patty has never said anything derogatory about other Merry Maid teams or the employer, as other teams have said. She has never asked for tips or stated how much other customers will provide incentives. She has never asked for food or soda or as with our past teams. Patty just does her job and does it extremely well!!!! It is refreshing to see the pride that goes into her work and her accomplishments. Patty has amazing integrity and honesty. We have contacted the Merry Maid office to state that is Patty is not on our weekly rotation, we will not want service. Kudos to Patty on the best weekly cleans we have EVER had!!!!

I’ve had my house cleaned for years, but this is the first time I used this service. I was not completely satisfied with the services I received. They did not move the pictures when dusting the tables. When cleaning the glass sofa table they did not use glass cleaner, the same spots are still there, when cleaning the bathroom counter tops they did not move the items off the counter top, but cleaned around them. They cleaned the refrigerator for an extra fee, but did not wipe the outside of the refrigerator or anything. When cleaning the kitchen floor they did not move anything either. Lastly, when they dusted the ceiling fan they did nothing to ensure the dust did not get all over the bedspread. Not satisfied at all and today is Friday and I’m having guests on Tuesday and a procedure on Monday that means I have to do the work myself.

While negotiating a new contract with Tim, that included coming more often and more area to clean, I made a comment about an area I would like to see cleaned in the future. Before I had signed the new contract and made an obligation, your staff cleaned the area I had mentioned to Tim. Customer service is key to me and who I hire. Price does play a part but your outstanding customer service and reasonable pricing would enable me to recommend your service.

Those 5 stars are for Patty. Previous housekeeper would be a 1 star. When we first began using Merry Maids many, many years ago, the service was excellent. Then about 4 years ago, the team captain began to have health problems and the service deteriorated. Finally she retired and the help was simply negligent. About 3 months ago I requested a new team and our house has never looked cleaner—they did a great job and we have been thrilled now with Patty. About a month ago, Kevin erroneously sent the unsatisfactory help back and nothing had changed—she was still inept. I was upset that she was sent and I want only Patty and her team to come from now on so I’ll have a meticulous housekeeper. After using Merry Maids for a very long time, we expect our house to be properly cleaned. Otherwise we will have to hire another firm.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. They did a horrible job cleaning our house and to top it off they broke several items in our house. They never admitted to it and we had to spend several thousand dollars repairing the damage they did. Stay away from this company, if you value your possessions.

Was originally thankful that they were able to work out coming for my move out and closing. House was empty. Floors, countertops, bathrooms, one out of two fridges. I noticed they weren't vacuuming , they were using a small hand held type to do spots. I told them to use my vacuum which was still there. Rooms were not vacuumed. Fridge was left dirty. Kitchen counters were grimy and dusty. I paid $300 for 2 1/2 hours. Called Suzanne to complain, and was told she would send them back. I told her I was 20 minutes away from my walk thru and closing. Her response was sorry nothing else I can do but will call them to see what happened and call you back. Still haven't heard from her. 2 days later. There should have been some sort of a partial refund. I would NEVER recommend.

I cannot begin to tell you to the “miracle” workers, Kayla and Angie at Merry Maids are. Due to illness and child going off to college, the upstairs desperately needed help. I should have known that it was going to be a pleasant experience based on my initial introduction to Merry Maid. On my initial appointment, Timothy came out and assessed the rooms. He was courteous, punctual and pleasant. He examined everything in detail and answered all my questions. There were no hidden fees when he wrote the invoice. Kayla and Angie were very friendly, punctual, polite and hard workers. I can honestly say, I didn’t feel like I had strangers in my home. Right before they were finished, their supervisor came to see how everything was going. That spoke volumes to the professionalism and integrity of Merry Maid. I love my Merry Maids! They made sure my house was clean from top to bottom even including the tops of my cabinets. The girls were professional and came when they said they would come. I scheduled a one time deep clean and a gentleman came out to do an estimate. He told me it would take about 2 1/2 hours and cost $250. It took a couple of weeks to get an appointment and the team arrived about 20 minutes after the appointment time. Not a big deal. I stayed in to finish some work and moved out of the way as the team met in middle to do the living room and kitchen. The team left very quietly and didn't ask me to check anything before they left. I did look at everything and based on the actual work, I would give 4 stars. A few things were missed . . . louvered closet doors and a dusty lampshade. What concerns me is it took just under 1 hour for 2 people to "deep" clean a 2 bedroom home. I don't know if this is the normal speed for this team or if they were more efficient because I was present. What if I had left and come back 2 hours later; would I be paying for people to do nothing for an hour? The 3 stars is for the price and misrepresentation of a "deep" clean. Other than that, everyone was very nice and professional.
