You couldn't find a place with better customer service. The company built on the Golden Rule and they truly follow it. You can't find a better product either. My Kirby is amazing! Highly recommended to what ever vacuum you have. They service and sell all of them! 67 years in business and I see why! Try them out, I guarantee you will be satisfied!

Reality 1

Bought our first generation Kirby Heritage at this location in 1983. Worked great for 35 years. Picked up a rock which broke the cast aluminum fan. Decided to have a complete referb including polishing of all metal. Looks and runs like new!!! Eddie and staff are incredibly professional and personable. A wonderful place to conduct business with!!!

I have a 1998 (January) Kirby G5 vacuum cleaner. I bought it used in 2006. Last week it didn't turn on. I checked the two safety switches; they seemed okay. So I took it to Kirby Co. on San Mateo. The technician immediately checked the cord. Then he checked the switches. Then it started. He did all this on the bench right in front of me so I could watch and ask questions. The cord and switches were good. He asked how long it had been since I had it serviced. Never. For $45 they do a complete check up and fix what needs to be fixed. Parts extra. He said it seldom runs more than $65. Sure. It was ready the next day. He had replaced the brushes on the motor and the belt (I tend to suck up wayward shoestrings and the occasional sheet that hangs to low off the bed). They fixed only what was needed (He pointed out a crack that had been glued on the bottom of the plastic connector for the bag. I asked if it should be replaced. No, it should be fine). The machine is as good as new even though its 18 years old. Oh, and my cost was $55. The people at Kirby Co service center are friendly. They took the time to answer my questions and show me what they were doing. They showed me the parts they replaced. They tested the vacuum for me before I left with it. They are technically savvy. I'm convinced the tech could take the vac apart in the dark, troubleshoot, and fix it just by feel. That's how good they are. As we talked, the tech said he had refurbished Kirbys at very reasonable prices if I wanted one for the second floor. My wife wanted me to go back and get one. Meanwhile, my 18 year old Kirby is ready for another 18 years, though I probably will get it a few checkups before that.

I brought my mom's Kirby vacuum here for a revamp for Mother's Day. It has never been working better! She was very happy. We also signed up for a chance to win a free carpet shampooing and we won! They did an excellent job. They were also able to provide us a "receipt" for their shampooing service that we were able to give to our Apartment complex when we moved out. This place is great. We will definitely be using them again in the future!

Bought a Kirby a few years ago in Colorado and after several moves the drive shaft switch came apart. The team here answered all my questions promptly and fixed the machine for less than $50 in minutes. Great service and customer service all around!! Recommend this place for all your Kirby needs.

I went in for the first time early afternoon. I was amazed how helpful and kind these people are! I thought it was very of them to offer to fix my vacuum without asking them to. They also replaced my belt and bag, so I can go home feeling good about my Kirby and finish experiencing the magic of vacuuming my floor! I will continue to go there for bags, belts or whatever my Kirby needs. I may get the shampooing parts too, later. It is family owned, and they enjoy being there!!

I took in my Kirby for a check up. It was running a bit sluggish. The staff is well versed on the vacuum. Within 1 week I received my Kirby as powerful as ever. Reasonably priced and the hepa bags are the best, especially if you know anyone to have allergies. Staff is knowledgeable, courteous and eager to teach you how to extend the life of the vacuum. When we were sold the unit we had never discussed payment in full for the unit we had discussed monthly installments only. My credit card was charged the full amount. My girlfriend and I were distracted by the three sales people so we never heard the third gentleman tell the person over the phone how much they were charging the card. When we read paid in full we were under the impression that the initial payment was paid in full. We have tried to work with these people and were willing to keep the vacuum if they would have met our original agreement of monthly payments. Something you would have benefited on since there was interest involved. However, now that the sales team refuses to work with us we do not want to keep the unit and requesting a full refund. My parents bought a Kirby over 40 years ago and it’s still going so we were excited about our purchase but this experience has been awful and we just want to be done with this. It is very unfortunate that the sales guys are more concerned about keeping the sale rather than taking ownership of the problem and coming up with a solution. I was patient and gave him every opportunity to make this right, which turned out to be a complete waste of time. He said he would return my call and never did. What’s suspect about that is the price that we discussed at the end of the monthly installments is the amount we were charged for the whole unit, so either they charged me the interest or he’s lying all together. So I was left with no choice I contacted Amex and reported the transaction as fraud since it’s not the amount that was discussed nor was that agreed to. His argument is that the “contract” that was signed has written in the itemized section “paid in full” which wasn’t there when I signed the document. If his argument is that the paid in full notation was there that wouldn’t make sense since he made the call to whoever he did towards the end and when I spoke to the agent on the phone to verify who I was, the full amount was never mentioned nor was it agreed upon. This document has a section where we were supposed to get credit for our old vaccume which doesn’t have the amount of credit we were told we would be getting towards the price of the new one. So they took our property without payment for the item. There are a list of things that are incorrect and inconsistent throughout yet this is the document that the salesperson is referring to as binding and is his reasoning for not needing to help. With the amount of errors and lack of detail in the filling out of all parts of the document it Voids its validity as an official document or a receipt. Lastly, in regards to the warranty form, specifically the item in red which clearly states that the sales person is to inform us if the device has been used for a demonstration at another location prior to us purchasing the unit. We were never told if it was or not, however we know it was used before hand because none of the parts came out of plastic bags when he took parts out of the carrying unit they were just tossed in dissaray in the bag. Furthermore when he asked me to fill the reservoir for showing us the floor cleaning attachment he specifically said to empty out the liquid that was in the reservoir and put fresh water in it. So the unit was used prior to our location which was never mentioned to us officially which is a violation of your own policy. Yet we were charged full price. There are a lot of things that went wrong with this transaction, all of which we were willing to look past had the salesman simply undo the charge and put us on the payment plan which was the only option discussed. His unwillingness to work with us has lead us to where we are at Today. My next course of action after Amex establishes the charge to be fraudulent is to take the case to the district attorney’s office and file an official complaint. The only way to keep that from happening now is to credit my Amex back and giving me compensation for my stolen property.
