Horrible service. We called and had requested they come on a certain day since we have a locked gate to our backyard and dog inside the house who would not be happy being alone with strangers up on the roof. I was told that they would come on a certain day and then they show up the day before they were supposed to! Luckily my husband was home, otherwise the dog would have had no clue what was going on and would have freaked out. And on top of all of that, the two guys they sent out spoke zero English which made it impossible for my husband to communicate what they needed to do and what we wanted. I DO NOT recommend this location. Spend a little bit more money and go some place else for your gutter needs.

Just had my gutters and roof cleaned by Ned Stevens. The crew did an outstanding job.The roof looks brand new. All of the moss and black streaks are gone. The gutters are also clean and well-flowing. I have my gutters cleaned on a schedule twice a year!!! It is so nice to never have to “remember” to make that call as Ned Stevens emails me in advance before they come out !! This year I called to schedule a cleaning of my vinyl siding which was dirty and almost green from the pollen build up over the years and the dirt built up in my window shutters which began to drip down on my siding. I have a two family home so the price was extremely reasonable for the size of my home and the work that had to be done. The workers were polite, professional, and considerate of my plants around the house. They left the property cleaner than when they started and my house looked simply amazing !!!!! I actually had to make a call the next day to let the company know how happy I was with the work that was completed!!!! I would recommend this company not only for gutters but more for cleaning the siding of a house. You won’t be disappointed!!!!!

Terrible experience. They didn’t even clean all the gutters around our house. We recently installed a new security system and we caught them shooting basketballs off our roof and only doing a small portion of our house. They arrived at 9:06am according to our system and left by 9:41 am (again all video documented). When we called to complain the representative told us we will talk about payments when we provide the video evidence which we are doing as we type this. This is making us question if they ever really cleaned our full gutters before. But at least we got video proof now.

First they came and couldn’t get into the back yard despite the fact the gate latches from the outside. I had to explain to them the gate was open. So then they came back a month later and said they couldn’t set their ladders up safely and cancelled the job. My house is just two stories so I don’t know how you can be in the gutter cleaning business and not be able to do gutters in a two story house. Only good thing they did is they didn’t lie that they did the work when they didn’t. Other than that I have serious reservations about this company’s ability to even actually do gutter cleanings

This company must stay in business by scamming people. On the phone they screen and ask a million questions about the house. Great. Everything seems in line and the price is decently fair. They show up and call me, and need to add a last minute charge of 75$ for gutter guard removal. They did not ask me prior if I had these, and let me know it was a hinderence or extra charge. Convienent. Annoyed, but fine. They remove the gutter guards and then proceed to LEAVE THEM ON THE GROUND AND LEAVE. Did not ask if we would like them reattached, just left. When inquired about this behavior we are told that they do not approve of the use of gutter guards so they do not reattach. How is this at their discretion to decide? How did I pay 75$ for removal only? Extremely unprofessional and horrid customer service. If I wanted to get on a ladder I wouldn't have tried to use this sham of a service in the first place. Please stay away and find a more responsible and honest company.

While the service is average, the customer service is awful. The scare tactics / fear-based language they use to address minimal issues is not only abusive but also baiting and false. Customer service on the phone was defensive and unwilling to take feedback. Email marketing is garbage and doesn't let the customer take action because it's all image based, so you have to either write down the phone number or google the number to take "immediate action". In a day and age when I can choose from 30 different companies to do my gutter cleaning, this level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is cause for customer defection and the bad press I'm providing with this review. We paid $250 for a gutter cleaning and our gutters still do not work at all. Just had a bad rainstorm, and water just spills over just like it did before the cleaning. Just called to complain and they only offered a $40 discount, and didn't offer to come back out and actually make the gutters work. I originally had this review at one star, but am raising it to 3 because from what I can see, the gutters look mostly clean even if they still don't work at all.

Called Ned Stevens in reference to replacing a hanging gutter. What a surprise I had when right over the phone he quoted me a price for a new installed. So I asked how can you do that without even looking at the job ? His answer I've been doing this job for 40 years I know gutters. Ned Stevens showed up the very next Day !! Job was completed professional and timely. Due to this professional service, even though I have cleaned my own gutters , Ned Stevens will do all my gutter cleaning and services from now on. We had brand new gutters put on our house 2 years ago. Ned Stevens said we needed new ones and that the pitch wasn't correct. I don't see a difference and it was rather expensive. The second part of our service was for them to snake out a downspout, which is causing overflow issues outside both our property and an adjacent neighbor. It's been going on 6 weeks and they still haven't performed service. I called to complain and they stated, "You're on the schedule." I called back again, and they moved my appointment up by 3 days due to my being very vocal and saying there was no communication and that the appointment was made well over a month ago. They agreed to move our appointment up by 3 days, but after I got off the phone, someone called back and said their schedule couldn't accommodate the change. I don't see the value in their service at all, not to mention they don't give any timeframes of when work will be completed. At the price I paid, I'm certain there are better options out there. I'm happy I didn't get rooked into their regular maintenance schedule. One last thing - the crew doing the gutter replacement left gutter screws IN the gutter and strewn about on the ground, on top of leaving me with a broken shingle to fix. Buyer beware!

This company made me wait 8 weeks to get a gutter replacement job done and when they finally showed up the worker said there wasn’t parking in the area and the job is too hard and left. Now I need to get another company fast before it gets cold outside. I called this company to replace a gutter in West New York, NJ. I explained in detail the job site to the person that answered the phone. I was given a price for the job and they said they would get it done within four to six weeks. About five weeks later I called them to see why they had not come. They came before the week was closed, but quickly left because the nearby school had the road blocked for the kids to arrive. They couldn’t wait 15 minutes. The company rescheduled for Saturday the following week. I was given an arrival time of 7 am to 3 pm for Saturday. They arrived around 8:30 am in a full size truck saying there wasn’t parking in the area. I offered to give my parking space to them, but supposedly they couldn’t pull their equipment from the truck in the parking spot. One of the workers went to see the back and said it would take too much time and left. They made me wait 8 weeks for nothing. This company needs to get their act together. West New York doesn’t have parking for a truck so why send one rather than a van. Also, perhaps they need to send a person to look at the job before sending the workers out so that they can tell them about the job and the area. The workers need better training too. They have a bad attitude and don’t seem interested in getting the job done.

I've used Ned Stevens for years, with either Diamond or Platinum service package, but I have not renewed for this coming year and have been avoiding their phone calls. The prices have really become rather high, considering many other companies also clean gutters, but on their last visit they not only broke my front outdoor faucet when my water had already been turned off for the season, but I found loose mesh gutter guards on the ground around the back of my house. I called them a couple of weeks after their visit because that's when I noticed the mesh gutter guards and I mentioned to them about the broken faucet. Instead of listening to me the phone rep pretty much accused me of scamming them, as it was a couple of weeks after their visit. (It's winter and the loose gutter guards are in the backyard pool area...not a space I frequent in December. I wasn't trying to get them to pay for the faucet repair, as I didn't see them actually break it, but I saw it broken that day after they left). I hate dealing with their office. Most reps seem pushy and arrogant.

I had the roof treatment done. They did an amazing job. Now that it has rained a lot, all moss and marks are gone. I had them treat my 10 year old wooden deck, which always looks dark and wet. It came out looking like brand new wood. I was really surprised. But the biggest surprise was they went out of their way to clean my small, newer (vinyl) front door landing and railings. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU HAVE GUARDS ON YOUR GUTTERS. I chose this service because of the decent reputation, however their business ethics and attitude are completely unprofessional. I scheduled to have my parents gutters cleaned. The morning of, I received a phone call on my commute to work letting me know the workers have arrived at the house. However, the person over the phone explained that Ned Steven's needed permission to remove the gutter guards in order to clean the gutters. The service also stated their would be a $75 additional charge to remove the guards in order to do the work. I take full responsibility for misunderstanding the person over the phone, and thought the $75 additional charge included putting the guards back over the gutters. It does not. I called Ned Steve's after receiving a call from my parents informing me that they didn't put the guards back on. I was told that the additional $75 service was to remove the guards and dispose of them, not put them back. I explained I misunderstood, however only because of it being a ridiculous price for just the removal. But why didn't they didn't ask me if there were guards on the gutters prior to coming to the location? These clowns ask many pre-screening questions, but failed to ask me if there were any guards on the gutter... Why? I'll tell you, so they can show up, call you, and scheme an extra $75 from you. The fact they'd drive to a location with the possibility of being turned away is suspect alone. Many people have guards on their gutters and they know this. Putting you on the spot with an overpriced additional fee is part of their game. It's not about the money, it's about principal. They may have been in business for 60 years, but it only took me 60 seconds over the phone to see through their shady business model. Edit: Google doesnt allow people to respond back directly. Regardless, your response is an attempt to save face. There's no excuse why Ned Steven's couldn't pre-screen to find out if there's guards on the gutters. Again, you do this intentionally to upcharge when you're on site. I received both voicemails however I'm not interested in working anything out with your service. Have a great day.

Horrible The company came, was gone in less than an hour and left the fascia exposed to the elements. The old gutter covered this and there was no way I could have seen it. They did not contact me and explain that the fascia need to be wrapped in metal or even painted before the gutter was installed. The company insists that the wood is not rotted yet and only tough up paint needs to be applied.I was told to buy some paint at Home Depot and touch up the exposed wood. My master carpenter/builder does not agree. I called a contractor to do it right, remove the gutter and wrap them properly. I paid over $1,000 for an hour job and now will pay to have it fixed. I called Ned Stevens because I see their trucks around and his company and have been in business a long time and might be fine for a newer house but I would never use them again or recommend Ned Stevens.

I'm happy to have found a company to take care of the home maintenance chores I can no longer do myself: gutter cleaning, window washing, patio stone cleaning. And all with environmentally friendly agents! They've never failed to respond promptly to my calls about a clogged gutter, so we haven't had water issues around the house for a very long time. And they once very quickly and efficiently replaced an old gutter that was no longer sufficient. Their friendly crews do not hesitate to communicate, which is also comforting. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ANYMORE !!! IT IS NOT WHAT IT WAS A FEW YEARS AGO We used Ned Stevens Gutters Cleaning for a few years. Last was on 7/12/2018 at one of our properties . Our tenant was at the house when the service was done. Tenant told us that after the work the serviceman was trying to convince the tenant to call the owner and authorize to do the roof repairs ASAP. He told the tenant that the edges of the roof are really bad and need major repairs. Also technician suggested to have his company do it while he is at the house, and have tenant pay the serviceman and then Tenant can bill the owner. Luckily the tenant did not agree to such arrangements. Later we called the other roof contractor and discovered the following. The overall roof is in a good condition. Nothing wrong with the roof, but the last contractor ( Ned Stevens) who cleaned the gutters , damaged quite a few shingles by placing the leader on the roof ( which of course they were not supposed to do ). We were trying to reach out to Ned Stevens. First Saeid ( one of the managers) told us that they were not at the property for the past 2 years. We send the paid receipt as a proof, with pictures of fresh damages. During a few months now we have send several follow up messages via email and phone. Never heard back from Ned Stevens.

In the initial phone call, service was promised "within one week-- maybe as soon as tomorrow!" When I called (I think) 6 days and 22 hours after the initial call to see when the service would be done, the phone operator was rather testy. But workers showed up that day and did a very thorough job.

I hired Ned Stevens on April 19th to replace my home gutters and spouts, they finally came yesterday May 14th a little over 3 weeks to do the job & after me calling a few times asking when the job was getting done they came but they only replaced the gutters not the down spouts. I called customer service questioning why they didn't replace the down spouts they said it was an error on their part and will come back to finish the job within 3 weeks. I am very disappointed, I had shopped around before picking them and picked them due to great reviews but so far it has not been easy for me. I will patiently wait for them to finish the job. I had other things I wanted them to do in the near future but i'm considering going else where.

This company seems kind of a rip off to me. I had scheduled a gutter cleaning which was done in 15 mins for a 4200 sq.ft home. When I called them to ask why like this she told me they are professionals doing it so it's quick. So then I asked for some pictures of work performed which she did not have any. Please don't waste your money. I also called few other gutter cleaning professionals after this experience and they all informed me that it takes atleast an hour for this job.

I just began using Ned Stevens as having been referred by several friends and acquaintances. I signed up for their annual service to keep my gutters clean. They came on time for the first visit and did a great job. One of their technicians noted that our roof had fungus from weather, etc., and I agreed to have them spray it, which they did. Came yesterday at 126pm left the house at 142pm spent 16 minutes at my 3000 square foot house to “clean” the gutters. I have video of them from my system they shows they didn’t touch 95% of my gutters. Lazy company wish I could give -5 stars. Took my money didn’t do any work. The workers took the ladder to one side of the house only and you might say if they can access the gutters from my roof....false I have solar panels throughout the roof so the only way to clean or even check the gutters is you need to move the ladder which they didn’t do and I have video proof of it. Update as of 8/1/19 Shane the owner took care of the issue and made the situation right. I would suggest if you have an issue to directly contact him he was a stand up gentleman and made the situation right.

I called to have the basic gutter service completed for approximately $150. No specific day or time frame could be accommodated, and the customer service rep was adamant about "not being able to give a specific day or time" after I asked several times. I arrived home on the day of service to find a tag on my door with a note to call the 800 number for problems found outside of the basic service. I looked at the gutters and found dead pine tree needles still in my gutter, which I took a picture of and posted with this review. I also had a question about a loose gutter that needed to be re-nailed (part of the basic service) and wanted to inquire if this was fixed. After calling the 800 number, I was connected to a different customer service rep who tried to sell an additional $700 of service. He was unable to tell me if the loose gutter had been re-nailed but offered a follow-up service due to the pine needles still in the gutter. Wanting to be home for the follow-up visit to ask questions and determine what had been done, I was again denied the opportunity for a specific day of service. I stated to the customer service rep that this was not a problem but I will be posting my experience to an online forum. His response was that I was "holding him hostage." This was inappropriate and strong language for a request, as the customer, to be present for follow-up gutter service. However, after making the statement several times about posting my experience, I was accommodated for a 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. time frame for a specific day. I'm not sure why this could not be accommodated without having to resort to several statements about an online posting. If you plan on using this service, they will come out and clean your gutters, but there is no way to observe the work completed nor do a quick spot check before they leave so that a follow-up does not have to be rescheduled. Do not expect to get the opportunity to speak to the foreman, ask questions and ensure you are satisfied. I gave two stars due to my dissatisfaction with customer service and a gutter being left with pine needles in it.

I used Ned Stevens about 3 years ago. They dumped all of the debris from the gutters on my shrubs and left it. Some kind of black slop was all over the trees so I stopped using them. I decided to give them a second chance and called today. They said the price increased from $138.00 to to $240.00 for the same house. They did the same thing to me about 5 years ago when a bad storm was coming in and I needed my gutters cleaned. They wouldn't do it unless I committed to a yearly $600.00 cleaning. 5 Stars! I was blown away by the absolute professionalism of this company.First of all, the men showed up & quietly went about their business. I didn’t even know they were out there. What a difference from the companies I used in the past! These men were polite & did their jobs so perfectly, & cleaned up afterwards. There wasn’t a speck left behind. Again, much different from my experiences in the past with other companies. But I’m SO grateful bcz I had a garden hose that I only bought last year, & the leaky spray nozzle was jammed on & I couldn’t remove it, which meant that I’d have to buy another hose. Being on a fixed income, every penny counts, so I asked one of the men if he could try to get it off for me. He tried but couldn’t either. Now this wasn’t part of his job. But, after they had finished cleaning my gutters, he went & got a special type of wrench & was able to pry off that damn nozzle! He just made my day! And ever since they cleaned my gutters, I no longer have water running down my front sidewalk. They did their work quietly & efficiently & left absolutely no mess behind! Last month, I had a birthday celebration in my backyard and my guests noticed that my gutters were full of leaves and had plants growing from them. I had not had my gutters cleaned in over two years. It was quite embarrassing. The next day (Sunday), I called Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning and they gave us a quote for their gutter services. The quote was reasonable and we agreed to have Ned Stevens perform the service. Within days, the crew showed up and cleaned the gutters as expected. They were very professional and courteous. We specifically booked this company because we have a townhome and just had a tree cut down so we had to get the front of our house and our neighbors power washed. We said we didn’t need the back of our home done. It was about only 25ft between my front of house and my neighbors. She is getting married soon and wanted the gutters clean before they take pictures at their house and so we got the ok on Sunday that they would do the front of their house and not do our back. Today the men who came to my house said that they couldn’t do that and to call the company. The company now said they couldn’t but they can charge us full price to do our neighbors. Perhaps before giving a quote they should have come to my house to see all I had was about five foot of gutter that had to be cleaned and to stick to the original deal. My neighbors gutters are so clogged it will just spill into ours now. Guess I have to call another company now after we were mislead and only booked them because they agreed to the service we requested.

Found this service on the web. Called for a price for them to come and install new gutters on my home. Talked with them on May 29 2019. They gave me a price to come and install the gutters said it would take a couple of weeks till they could come out gave me a estimated date of June 20 or after. Gave them a deposit to come and do the work. Called them on June 24 to get a update. The rep said that my address was out with the guys that install the the gutters so it should be any day now. They still couldn't give me a date or a time of when they were coming. Called the following week and was told it would be 7 to 10 days. Now we are into July and still no idea of when they are coming. Giving them till the end of this week then going to have to cancel this order and get my deposit back from them. Really think they should work on their scheduling of jobs like this. I'm sure they do more cleaning then installs and that part might be great but the part that I am dealing with really cant give them a good review. Hope the owner see this review and makes something happen before I call and cancel. Hope this helps everyone out with them. Will put another review on here in a week letting everyone no if the job got done or if it gets canceled. The top part of this post was from July 2. The manger called me that same day and said they would have a crew out to do the job. They came July 3 to do the work and installed the gutters. After they left I looked at the way the gutters were installed and there was a few issue with them and the way they looked. Took pictures and sent them to customer service and got a call again from the manger. They said they would come back out and fix the issue with the install. They sent 3 new guys out to fix the issues this crew did a good job in fixing the issues that I had with it. Only took about a hr to fix the issue. Now they look and work good. After all was done with the guys didnt leave to I got a call from ned Stevens that I was satisfied with the work. Some things that they should work on in my opinion is doing a better scheduling of when they will come and do the work. Have guys that take pride in the work that they are doing. The first crew of guys seemed to be in a big hurry to where the next crew seemed to take more pride in the work they were doing as far as clean up safety and the protection of my house by the things they set up and put down when going onto the roof to put the gutters on. Over all would give them a 3 star rating just because of the issues. Would have gotten a 5 if there wasn't any problems.

Very good service from nice, safe people. They came early in the morning and were very fast to clean my house and detached garage gutters. Using leaf blower and hose seemed to make it a quick event. But not perfect, see below. Even blew out loose debris from under my garage porch thing. Dislikes: They left the bag of debris from gutters on the street, I had a garbage can available but no problem. Also, they didn't say anything to me as I went out, I had time before work, but they gave me a notice that they had found some issues and that I should call the number. Instead of just telling me. I can think of some good reasons why they would do this, but I would have appreciated even a quick summary of issues with my gutters/roof. When I call I always get greeted with a representative that is always courteous. They will have their standard pitches for continuous service/ maintenance plants and recommend services, while usually not sounding too infomercial-y, and didn't press the issue after I said I'd think about it. Gave me good explanations when I had to call regarding issues the cleaners found, and a quote. First time customers discount helped with the price and so far I really liked how much they got done. The suggested work I was told after calling came with sort of pricey quotes but I'll call around and compare.
