I wish this was a good review but it is not. I hired Newburyport Cleaning over a year ago. Started off strong to clean about an 1100 square foot apartment that was picked up well ever two weeks. I explained that details were important including a small collection of cups on the hutch and certain items in my office. This is a small place - only 2 br, 2 ba and a living room. Rarely was the place cleaned and trash taken out completely or dusted. Always something missing. This company is the worst I have had in my over 30 years of housecleaners coast to coast. The last straw was not wiping down bathroom counters, dirty bathroom floor (missing corners and places of obviousness) and the dining room chairs as well as table were not dusted! Moreover the piano, which was dusted by the owner Richard was not completely dusted and in the light one could see big blotches of dust. Richard's answer when confronted - not to take responsibility - but rather to run and resign and hide behind "I have been cleaning for 20 years." I stuck it out because I move to a house/home at the end of April but it is futile to work with Richard. One points things out but nothing changes. Only gets worse at least for me. I have found someone else. In general, I find the Salisbury/Newburyport vendors with a few exceptions not able to take responsibility, say I am sorry, make amends and move on. They seem to have a chip on their shoulder. As I say, with exception but nowhere near the quality in the Newton/West of Boston area where I am going. Shop before you go with this vendor. There probably are much better, I hope, for your sake. Newburyport Cleaning caused more work and aggravation on my part than they were worth. Worse, I am disabled and they still didn't do a good job knowing that I had a hard time doing just about anything. I stated this fact up front and that I might have to cancel on short notice but I expected things done well. Didn't happen. BTW, Richard should not be in charge of this operation. He is running it into the ground imo at this point in his career. There is a wonderful woman who seems to be co-owner and I wish she was in charge. She would be great!
