They came and looked at my home and gave me an estimate of hours and when they came the first time they did a good job. After the first cleaning the quality went downhill. I also hired them to do my windows when they came the first time and it was raining the day the came and did a good job on most or the windows but missed the sliding door. When I brought it to their attention they said someone would be out the following week to complete what the first crew missed but never showed up. The last time they were here my wife called to say that they had missed some items that she specifically asked them to make sure they got and she was told that "Maybe we're not the right cleaning company for you so we have taken you off the schedule". The worst part of this is that when they originally came to look at the job I was told that they have many crews and if I'm not happy with the job of one crew they can send a different one until I get one I'm happy with. Also the sliding door still has not been cleaned.

We initially hired Great Northern Cleaning last fall to do a thorough first-time cleaning as well as carpet cleaning and windows. In spite of them being separate tasks with separate teams, Erin coordinated her staff to have each of these things completed on the same day! There were a couple of glitches to be worked out, but unlike other cleaning companies we had tried, GNC was very responsive and the minor issues we had were easily resolved. We now have them come in to do monthly cleaning and are comfortable having them in our home and are very satisfied with the work they do. My husband and I love coming home on the days they have come to clean! And while it feels to us like such a luxury, GNC is reasonably priced. The rug cleaning team was able to work around the house cleaning team so that this combined cleaning effort flowed smoothly. The window team took pride in their work too. The house was amazing after they were done!!! One of the biggest “awe” moments was when we looked at our hardwood floors, and we were shocked with how amazing they looked!! Have already recommended this company to a friend, and will continue to do so. Hope to have the cleaning team back again soon.

I have bi-weekly cleaning. I do a walk thru at the beginning so they know what I want done that day. The cleaners are always extremely polite and accommodating. They use products that will not aggravate our allergies, and are gentle to the environment. I have referred (and will continue to refer) friends who need cleaning services. We have a crazy schedule and GNC is very willing to move us around on the schedule as needed. Because of that I have had the opportunity to meet several of their cleaners. All have been great. Took great care, went under furniture and put the furniture legs on little foam blocks so that the carpet would dry correctly. Pricing was fair.

We were very disappointed in the lack professionalism displayed by this company. We have a very gross cleaning job to be done, and were very upfront about that when we scheduled someone to come out and look. It took a week for a person to come look and when he did he was in the place barely five minutes, declared it fine and set us up with an appointment another week out. When the cleaners came we could not be around, but they left without ever doing any cleaning and without a call or text or any follow up as to why they left. Upon several calls to find out what happened, we were told they "smelled gas" and didn't want to clean up mouse droppings. It was so disappointing that no one bothered to call and that the person who took the walk through told us we weren't going to have a problem. We have tried to contact them for follow up for two days and have heard nothing. I will never do business with this company again and will never recommend them. Update to owners response : The fact that they did not clean due to those circumstances was never our problem with this service. It is, however, an issue that no one called us to tell us they left. How can we address an issue we didn't know we have when no one bothers to call us. Interestingly enough, we have still received no follow up call four days and several calls later. That is just no way to do business.

We received complaints about the cleanliness of our cabin last year. At the time I did not fully understand them until we had to get a new cleaner this year because Great Northern Cleaning would not help us out this year- even though they had assured us they would at the end of the season last year. When I called to schedule them, they said they would not help me. A blessing in disguise as we have a wonderful cleaning crew this year and our return renters have made a point to let us know. I do not recommend them for rental properties with a lot of guest turn over.

I was at a friends while they were cleaning her apartment stairway in Bristol, they yell up and down the stairs to one another rather than walking down and speaking to one another. When they go to vaccume around the doors and walls they just slam into them. The yelling is unprofessional and the slamming is just unnecessary. Take your time and relax, stop yelling to one another and slamming into things.

I broke my ankle this summer and my house fell apart. With three dogs and a husband who works and then had to care for me when he was home, you can imagine it wasn't just messy - it was dirty, too. We originally hired another company and were not impressed. That's when we found Great Northern. Erin came out and spent some time with us, learning what we wanted and explaining what they could do for us. The cleaning crew was friendly and efficient. The owner Frank is the kind of man you want to get to know better because he's honest and fair. We expected this to be temporary, until I was back on my feet...but now that I've been absolutely spoiled by the wonderful people of this company, I can't let them go! They go above and beyond in every possible way! Everyone from the owners to the staff are good, trustworthy people who make sure they are meeting your needs. The work they do is EXCEPTIONAL. This is a long review, but it could be much longer. Seriously - if you are looking for a solid, trustworthy cleaning company that does the job YOUR way, call these guys!
