I asked them to perform their "level II" service on my furnace which was recommended 2 years ago when they serviced it. The technician called and told me my furnace was leaking Carbon Monoxide, was installed incorrectly, and was "the worst he's ever seen". He also told this to my tenants and recommended they leave a window open for the Carbon Monoxide. My tenants were understandably upset and afraid. I was too as they had not mentioned any of these concerns last time they looked at this furnace. I get a call the next day that it's going to be $5100 to replace. Making sure I did my due diligence, I called another company to get a second quote before purchasing. They recommended I have Northwestern Energy go check out the furnace for Carbon Monoxide which I did. The NW Energy technician told me he found no evidence of CO in the entire system and that the furnace, although old, was running as it should. I did talk to a representative from Central about the problem and they were apologetic, but needless to say I will NEVER trust them again for my HVAC needs. It's hard enough being a remote landlord, but companies that deal in fear to make a quick buck make it that much harder.

I had a technician, Shawn Way, come to my home as my heating system wasn't working. He was so friendly and very professional. He was clear about what he was going to do, and assured me that he would go over any additional charges, if any, prior to doing anything. A few days after he was there the heat stopped working again. He skipped his lunch break and came back to my house within 45 minutes! He got everything going, finding a flaw in our thermostat that was so small I don't know how he ever saw it. We had a burst pipe in our basement causing the carpet to become saturated with water. Central offered to schedule the next day, but came the day after because of my own schedule conflict. We have a vaction rental property in Whitefish and had complaints of it being too hot upstairs. We had used another company who charged our AC unit in June and said there was a small leak and not to be concerned. We aren't the type to just put a band-aid on things...we want it fixed. When the other company couldn't give me any idea when they could back to fix the leak I knew I had to find someone else. I'm big on reading reviews and saw right away that Central Heating & Cooling had many great reviews. I called them and they were able to come next day. I had to push them off til Monday when the house was vacant. I knew from the minute I spoke to Nikki (I think) in the office it was already a great experience. The Tech (Ken...I think), was super nice and jumped right in to find the leak. He found, not 1, but 2 leaks along with a flooded duct in the crawlspace. He was very professional, knowledgeable and was able to resolve our not so minor issues in just a short few hours. I am so impressed that I just had to write a review. This is only my second review ever. Thanks guys for doing a great job and fixing our leaks. Highly Recommended them!!!

If you want the top-of-line Heating and Cooling, Electrical and Plumbing business to maintain/supply/problem solve/repair/install your equipment, Central HVAC is the company to call. We have used them for years and have always been impressed with every single person who has done the work, as well as the front office ladies who answer the calls and return calls promptly to set up appointment times. From Central, we also bought and had installed a new furnace and air conditioner in a 21+ year old house. It is the best investment we ever made. The last visit involved an additional cold-air vent installation. Shawn Way found the problem with Garrett, Shawn figured out the solution and Shawn and Ken did the install. It was not only a technical solution, but an aesthetic solution and to us, a work of art, so nicely done. They teased one another, worked efficiently together, and made us chuckle. Shawn returned again to investigate a thermostat idiosyncrasy and ordered a replacement. He makes every visit fun and full of laughter with stories as he works. Importantly, he and all the others are professional, knowledgeable, precision-based, and desires to do what is right for the customer and Central HVAC. Every person who has done work for us from Central or talked with us via phone is just like that type of person. This is a superior company with employees of integrity.

I have to edit this post. They sent Josh out today, and it looks like he fixed the problem. It appears there was a cap of some sort that was missing this allowed water to drip into the unit until the sensor (and the hot water) went off. He set up a drainage hose that will hopefully take care of it. He was very polite. Purchased a tankless water heater that came to $4k with install (small house - 2 sinks, tub, washer) from these people. BIG, HUGE mistake. The man who came and installed the unit was EXTREMELY RUDE. Every time the wind blows if it's raining, we have to open the unit and dry it out to restore our hot water. This is because the vent that goes to the outdoors is not properly installed. When we called him out to fix it the first time, because we had no idea what was going on, he was beyond rude. At that time, he promised to bring out a part so the water wouldn't enter the vent pipe and travel into the heater, shutting it off. We never heard back from him. Any other plumbing, heating or cooling needs I have will definitely NOT be serviced by these people.

Today we had Joel come to our house to install new LED lights in the kitchen. Before there were no lights over the stove and it was dark. Now our kitchen looks bright and illuminated. It makes the kitchen look bigger and fancier. Joel did a wonderful job. He is very polite, professional, smart, creative and full of ideas. Our experience with Central started as a maintenance call on our furnace. After talking with Ken Gray, we decided it was time to replace our 24 year old furnace. Ken priced out a selection for us on the spot, we discussed and selected which furnace we wanted. Ken, with the help of Garrett, ordered and scheduled our installation. Garrett even held off the ordering for a few days so we could get an additional 5% off through Costco. While Ken was at our house I knew the water heated was dying so I had him schedule a plumber to come out and check it out. Josh S came out with a coworker and verified what I allready suspected. A new hot water heater was ordered and Central bundled the two purchases. The furnace and water heater arrive in a timely manner and were installed quickly and correctly the first time. Josh Secrease and a co worker installed the hot water heater. They cleaned up their work area and made sure all systems were functioning correctly before they left our home. Mathew and a coworker arrived with the furnace, removed the old unit, fit the new one on the spot. ( did not have to run to town for any additional parts ) when the new furnace was up and running the technicians spent time with us stepping us through the new touch screen controller and made sure we were comfortable with everything before they left. This is not our first experience with Central and all of our experiences have been exceptional. I spent my working career in service and was treated in a way that will keep me calling on Central.

Told me our water heater was broken. Needed a new pump etc, $2999 (included labor). Wouldn’t guarantee their work unless I spent another $2000 on a their “low end” water softener. Called Home Depot. Their plumbers said there was nothing wrong with the water heater, just the expansion pump was out. With labor, total cost was $260. Be wary. Will charge you $89 just to take a look. They will ask your credit card number first thing.

First Trane in 2002 was great. Trane heat pump and electric furnace 2015 looks smarter and its cooling has been top grade with all the recent hot weather. Extremely quiet - actually noise free. Data says it will reduce costs, will see. Installers Shawn and Ken did a clean removal and rapid installation taking care of the many details. Clean up was excellent. Service in the past has been reliable and will continue with the new products.

In mid October I had placed a service call for my very old furnace. Your extremely polite service tech, Bobby C., came to the house to repair it as much as he could. During his visit, he reviewed my furnace and it's situation with me...on it's last leg. This wasn't news to me as I was aware of how old it was when I purchased the home 2 years prior. Bobby stated that if I would like, he would pass my information onto Bilynda S. and she could assist in providing me a quote. Bobby did exactly what he said he would and it only take a day or two max and I had an appointment scheduled for Belinda to come out and assess my current furnace! Bilynda was just as excellent as Bobby! She was very patient with me and answered all my questions. I purchased the furnace and met with Clint to sign paper work and he got me all squared away! 2 weeks later two other service techs were over to install the new furnace, put in another vent in a bedroom and fix the chimney! Everyone person I came in contact with at Central Heating & Cooling, exceeded my expectations in every way possible! It's rare to deal with so many people at one company and to have each and every one of them be so polite and do exactly that they say they're going to do! Keep up the good work on hiring excellent staff! The new furnace is great and my tenant is thrilled to have the old one out! Thank you Central!

Terrible, I really felt they were deceitful. Booked an appointment and they made sure I was prepared for and committed to an 89$ fee for them to come out. The receptionist couldn't give me ANY idea of cost but I had the faucets and kitchen sink that I wanted installed at the house already so it was just an install. They gave my daughter a quote of 1300$ ....if I would have had any idea they would be so exorbitantly priced I would have checked around first but you expect fair, not necessarily lowest but if they are expecting you to commit to the 89$ then they should have a price reasonable enough for you to accept. It took One call to another plumber to do the same job for 500 and found one for 350 second call so 1/3 the price. They are a "big" and supposedly "reputable" company so I did expect a reasonable price. I had to give them the 89$ and find someone else. What a shame. Similar story on Angies list. Sold an elderly lady a water heater for 2200. and should be more like 800

Since January of this year Central HCP&E has been involved in the updating of our 60+year old home. We've had a minisplit installed and plumbing tuned up for my Mom's apartment. In June we had a new furnace installed in the house-best time to do it is when you aren't freezing. Most recently Joel Z. added additional amp service to the house, and installed an exterior outlet for our camper. He was instrumental in how some construction was done in our yard-working out the "where" and "when", and always cheery. In the next few months we'll be going after a new bathroom!
