I brought a rug with a red wine stain to American Rug Laundry, and I was not hopeful the stain would come out. It was set in for several months and I had used Oxy Clean on it , which was a mistake. They did not promise that they could remove the stain, but to my amazement, they did! The customer service was excellent, both over the phone and in person. The rug was back to me in less than a week. I thought the price was very reasonable, given how labor-intensive their process is. Highly recommend their services.

Red wine got spilled on a brand new, hand knotted wool rug and we could not get the stain out by blotting and apply water.. We looked at some youtube videos but were afraid to try anything for fear of ruining the rug. We called the place where we bought the rug and they told us to bring it to the American Rug Laundry. We brought it there on a Tuesday just minutes before they were closing and they did some preliminary work using vinegar right away. The next day the owner called and said the vinegar didn't work but when they did their total washing process they were able to get the wine stain out. A few days later we were called and they said it was dry and ready for pickup. When we put it on the floor it looked brand new again with NO stain to be seen. Thanks you, American Rug Laundry. We will be bringing all our area rugs to you when they need cleaning hopefully not because of a red wine spill.

You know those long lists of disclaimers that they put in ads that basically removes all liability from the provider of the product or service? This is American Rug Laundry. Yes - they explained that they couldn't get pet urine stains out, so I wasn't expecting that, but the rug really didm't look cleaner in any way. For all I know they just rolled up the rug after i left, and I picked it up two weeks later. That also seems a long time to clean a rug. Plus you have to pay when you drop off and you get it back wrapped up so you can't even see it. For forty dollars I could've had Stanley Steamer come over and do a way better job in less time. You're better of sponge mopping and vacuuming than to go here.

Every step of the process went precisely as Mike Ulick had said it would. Ours was a little more complicated than normal as our rugs were at a storage facility, not at our house, so it required a little more coordination. Mike was kind enough to email us pictures showing one rug with moth damage from years in storage. Mike orchestrated the entire process, he and the entire crew really understand the meaning of customer service! The cleaning they did was good..since the stains were a bit old most of what was there was removed with only a slight sign of remaining stain..if I didn't know it was there it would be hard to see. The forewarned me they would do their best and it show, Would recommend them for any area rugs that need TLC.
