We were set up for a clean every two weeks. For a good chunk of the past six months, we would get a call at the time they were supposed to be showing up and be told that they couldn't get a cleaning crew out to us that day. Sometimes they would try to reschedule, but more often they would just say we would have to wait until our next scheduled clean in 2 more weeks. This summer this happened the day we had company coming to stay for most of a week, and we had to rush home and try to clean the whole house in the hour we had before our guests arrived (and we already had other things we needed to do). I was understanding when this first happened and again when it happened during snowstorms, but it started happening at least once a month this summer, so I confronted the manager about their lack of dependability. She never once offered us a discount and really didn't seem bothered when I said that if it happened again that we were going to cancel their services. It happened the very next clean. So they scheduled a final clean (because we had already sent the check for that clean), and they canceled on us AGAIN--and, of course, we were depending on their clean because we having a party that night. When we first started with this company in Holland, they did a fantastic job. But since they were bought out 5 or so years ago, the management and service has gone downhill. The cleaning was mediocre this last year. They never wiped down our dining table or cleaned the faucets for mineral deposits. They never really got our toilets or sinks clean (rust and hard water--but we have been able to take care of some of that with bleach), and sometimes they would only dust the shelves we had at eye level and skipped anything lower or higher. I would not recommend this company, especially if you live on the outer ridges of their service area.
