Selected Power Vac after calling several companies. Liked what I heard and the communication, as well as the price, that included the use of a coupon, but did not exclude any service. Two service men were timely, tidy, friendly, and informative. Everything was attended to, finishing with turning my thermostat back on. I received a follow-up call almost immediately as my rep must have made a call to his supervisor with a concern about the safety of my dryer vent. Supervisor offered to come over to see how he could help out to resolve that issue. I'm IMPRESSED and DO recommend this company!

I've had allergies my entire life and have found getting my ducts cleaned and filter changed on a regular basis makes a big difference to the air quality in my home. A friend of mine has been complaining about the dust levels in her house so I decided to surprise her with a duct cleaning. I saw an ad from these guys for a price much less than what I've typically paid and figured I’d give them a try. Let me tell you this was a huge mistake! I saved maybe $100.00 compared to competition and received 10% of the service I’m used to getting. I met the techs at my friend’s house while she was at work and they showed up stinking like cigarette smoke (not good if you are allergic to everything!). They both went downstairs, brought the hoses in the house, and starting sucking immediately. I asked them if they were going to use any of the tools I’ve seen other companies use in the past to knock the dust loose and they told me they know what they’re doing and not to worry. They worked for about an hour and told me the ducts were as good as new. I questioned how they completed the cleaning so quickly considering it took the other company almost 4 hours to clean my ducts and they told me again not to worry. Well, my friend came home that night to a house full of dust! It appears they did nothing more than connect the vacuum to the duct work, knock some dust loose, and leave. I felt so bad I called the company that did my house and paid them $450.00 to do the job right. Do not take the bait and get suckered into using these guys due to their low price.

I ran into Justin the manager of Power Vac, at subway today. He was VERY attractive. So, to flirt with him, I read the name on his coat and asked him more about this Power Vac company. I had no intention of having my air ducts cleaned at all...but by the end, I did. He knew more about my house then I did! He knew exactly where my furnace would be located, & how many main lines I had. I was amazed when I went home and seen everything he said was true. I called and scheduled to have my home and business done here in Rochester. When he handed me his card I seen these review steps and just had to share my experience. I dont leave reviews very often but 2 men arrived to my home smelling like marijuana. I brushed it off because i was a kid once too. So i kept an eye on them to make sure the job was done right. Im not completely sure my HVAC ducts were even cleaned properly because i have a 5 bedroom home and they were only here for 45 minutes at most. The most disturbing part of this experience was watching the guy in charge kick my dog out of the way. I didnt say anything because i didnt want them damaging my belongings. Ive called multiple times the lady in the office never returns my phone call. And to top it all off the truck leaked oil ALL over my driveway after reading these reviews im just about positive i was scammed. Im contacting the BBB.

We recently used Power Vac to service a condominium community in Rochester Hills. There was a fire at one of the condominiums, and it was determined that it was caused by a clogged dryer vent. We suggested to the homeowners that they have their ducts professionally cleaned for safety. Many of these homes had not had their vents cleaned for years. There were approximately 30 homes that were serviced by Power Vac, and all were very pleased with the service. Power Vac is friendly, efficient and timely. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Starting with April on the phone, then Keith's follow-up call, through service by Dakota and Mitch this was an extremely good experience. The price was more than fair for the amount of work performed. The drywall dust is gone. We aren't coughing as much, we only have to dust once a week. Not only did Dakota have to work in the crawl space under the house, they also managed to reach a cold air return under the water bed by crawling through a very small space! We recently used Power Vac to service a condominium community in Rochester Hills. There was a fire at one of the condominiums, and it was determined that it was caused by a clogged dryer vent. We suggested to the homeowners that they have their ducts professionally cleaned for safety. Many of these homes had not had their vents cleaned for years. There were approximately 30 homes that were serviced by Power Vac, and all were very pleased with the service. Power Vac is friendly, efficient and timely. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Two calls to the company regarding this hoping they would do the right thing and send someone back to clean it up and of course no call back after a few days. They know it leaks because I saw them place a big pan underneath to catch the oil when they got here (to no avail). Not very professional. Do yourself a favor and call someone else or you too may find an oil mess in your driveway to clean up and unanswered messages. They advertise Most Trusted in the Business. So much for trust or guarantees if the business doesn't bother to call you back once they have your money. On top of it, since they cleaned the ducts I have had noises from them every time the heat is on, some banging and knocking. They may have well caused damage to my duct work. Update 11/26/2018 - I also want to add that in the short amount of time they were here, I suspect they may have damaged my ducts as well. Ever since they came my ducts now knock and make noises every time the heat is on.

PowerVac Review: Totally dissatisfied. Technician was going to leave filter out of furnance. Didn't reconnect the dryer or figure out what to do with it. Technician couldn't determine where dryer vent exit was/is. So we are left with a plugged dryer vent and still can't use our clothes dryer. Thin films of dust everywhere a vent/cold air return is, all over my desk, on the back of the leather couch (just a few examples) 10 feet around the area. Gave a step ladder to technician to use and was left near the furnance. We were going to be charged for the dryer vent cleaning until my husband spoke up. I called same day of service and following business day and left message, no call back. My allergies are worse than before and still can't use the dryer. Now we have to call another service, fingers crossed that not all vent cleaning companies are like this one. UPDATE: not all duct cleaning companies are bad, call Amistee !
