Detroit Maid did a great job on my rental. They went above & beyond in customer service, after I accidentally missed an appointment. Danielle came, herself & spent an extra 20mins. making sure that things were done properly.

I gave Detroit Maids another try since my initial time trying them about 3 years ago to see if the service had improved but unfortunately the service I received today confirmed that I should have just left this company in the past. The service has gotten worst. The 'Cleaner' (in parentheses because there really wasn't much cleaning done, more like tuck and wipe around) arrived 5 minutes late starting off. Upon me showing her around she asked was I going to help her clean because she usually doesn't have "all this" work to do at her assigned houses. She said picking up the kids toys in living room was too much and she would need me to show her where everything goes in the kitchen the whole time. She proceeded to call her boss and left a message then decided to just "do what she could do". Then I said just move things to the side and i'll see about what you have questions with. I explained that Detroit Maids must have changed their policy because I never had gone through this when I had the service 3 years ago and def did not experience this with other companies I had recently had. For the price Detroit Maids charge, the service today was no where near suitable. Definitely not a relief to a mom who scheduled this to get some relief around the house. I have never had cleaning service this bad. Countertops, tables, floors, bathroom, are still not clean. She even showed me huge area on countertop she hid with glasses that she didn't clean. Tried to support this business esp after seeing recent social media posts but unfortunately it's a No for me. UPDATE: Owner issued a refund regarding this situation.

I signed up for the two hour service. I’ve really enjoyed the service and appreciate not having to scrub the bathrooms. Thanks for the help! Also, when we had some dishes that had burned on food they assisted and helped save them!

I really wanted to love Detroit Maid, but honestly, the service is terrible and the owner is a con artist. The cleaner arrived with one dirty rag and a bottle of mystery fluid to clean my whole first floor. I asked her about a vacuum and she said Detroit Maid had given her one, but that it didn't work and she couldn't use it. (This was after I had been assured by Danielle on the phone that the cleaner would bring all supplies.) I offered her my own paper towel and other supplies, but she refused to use them. She missed key areas like corners, baseboards, windowsills, and she did a sub-standard job in others. When I asked her to re-visit what she'd missed, her response was "No, I already did that." I felt insulted and frustrated in my own home, and completely taken advantage of by Detroit Maid. After the cleaner left, I spoke to the owner, Danielle, and she assured me that I'd get a full refund for the service, plus a refund for a future service I'd pre-booked but cancelled given the circumstances. It's been nearly two weeks of phone calls, emails, texts, and still no refund or response. It's embarrassing to admit this in a public forum like Google Reviews, but I feel like I've been conned for hundreds of dollars by Danielle and Detroit Maid. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Any cleaning service would be better.

They did fast, professional work and the furniture looks great. Cleaned up, too.
