I would like to give both praise and a thank you to Mike Pridham the owner of Servpro and his assistant Sergio. I own a building in Cambridge with 8 Apts and 4 stores. Due to the accumulation of snow and ice, I developed a water leak from my roof which created water damage to the 2nd and 3rd kitchens and rear halls. I called my roofer, brother, and Servpro and they all showed up very quick. After the leak was diagnosed and repaired, Mike and his helper then went through all the tests for water damage inside the building. A few days later after the leak was stopped, Mike, Sergio, my son and the Arbella Insurance adjuster went through all the damages. Because of Servpro's assistance, my problem was resolved with the insurance company in a very prompt and efficient manner. Again thank you George Sbordone

Highest Honors to ServePro Cambridge/Belmont! A December 2014 Nor ‘Easter brought up to 6” rain and caused extensive flooding in the area. The first time in 11 years that my basement took in water. Even though ServePro was fully booked given the extensive damage in Belmont and surrounding communities, Michael Pridham, ServePro owner, took extra measures to summon team members and equipment to attend to my situation. There was a mutual recognition that time was of the essence in order to prevent permanent damage and spare significant expense. Have used Servpro Cambridge/Belmont a few times now to deal with water leaks. Each time they were super responsive and were able to come and deal with the problem right away, which is super important in these cases. The last job they did for me they even helped to coordinate a carpenter to help and repair the damage after it was taken care of by Servpro. As a Cambridge property owner, I am very grateful to ServPro of Cambridge-Belmont for their services that twice rescued my properties. In 2010 when the rains wouldn't stop and City drainage was insufficient for town sewage, the back-up into the basement was completely eradicated with no trace of damage. This past winter 2014 when a freeze-up caused water seepage into every level of a different property, their team came and remedied the soaked areas resulting in a renewed and fresh interior. Without the ServPro team on the job to reverse the effects of these casualty sites, the properties would have remained uninhabitable. We had our house main sewer connection back up and flood the basement with disgusting muck. ServPro was awesome: they responded FAST and in one day had the mess cleaned up and the fans going to dry everything out. A week later they came back, finished removing the contaminated sections of wall, trim and insulation, and that was that. The project manager I dealt with, Anthony Salvi, was extremely polite and responsive. Having these guys respond so quickly and thoroughly to our emergency really did replace my freaking out with a sense that things were going to be ok after all. VERY happy with the service we got. Though I would hope to not need to call again, if the situation arose, 10/10 would definitely hire them.

We had the nightmare of all nightmares occur where we were awoken at 2am in the morning to sewage water pouring out of our toilet in the basement bathroom at our home. And let me tell you thank god for Servpro Cambridge/Belmont. I immediately called them despite it being 2 in the morning and less than 6 hours later they had a crew at my house. Yes they arrived at 7:30am! The crew was led by a gentleman named Melvin and he and the two other guys he had working with him could not have been more professional and polite. They were simply amazing! They worked nonstop from 730am to 5pm and were able to remove all the waste, power wash the entire basement and disinfected everything. They even went so far as to take pictures of all the personal items that were damaged and needed to be discarded so that we could use those pictures for our insurance claim. Furthermore, my wife is 7 months pregnant and was scared to be in the house after the disinfectant spray was applied throughout because of potential fumes. Well Servpro even has an answer for that- they use a toxin free food grade anti bacterial spray which is completely safe for kids, pets and pregnant women. You can never really imagine the horror of having sewage water pouring into your house unless youve experienced it, but we feel so blessed that the amazing team at Servpro took such amazing care of us. They are the best and I say with utmost confidence that there is NOBODY you’d rather have helping you when disaster strikes than these people!

These folks are great - Sergio in particular - we had an issue with a water leak from an above apartment and they were able to come over the next day and help assess the damage, pointed out things I had no idea about. The following day they had all the necessary drying equipment set-up and we were well on our way to getting our house back in order. They also worked with the insurance company while explaining everything they were doing and why. This made us feel really comfortable that everything was under control. If you want fast, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable folks when you have an emergency this is the company to call.

My daughter attends college in Cambridge, MA and broke her ankle on May 5th - right before finals week. We live in Arizona, 2500 miles away, and ran into a bind and needed help fast finding a company to pack out and store my daughters items over the summer. Her roommates backed out sharing a facility, the night she broke her ankle, and we needed to find something fast. I've worked with Servpro many times in Arizona and thought I would call the local Servpro in Cambridge/Belmont to see if they could recommend a pack out company to assist. I called thier office and left a message with the answering service. Within 5 minutes, I received a call from the Servpro owner, Michael Pridham. I explained the situation with my daughter and asked if he knew any pack out/storage facilities in the area. Michael first apologized about my daughters situation and then said they would take care of everything for my daughter! Oh, by the way, Michael called me while on vacation in California. He told me his assistant Sergio would call and handle everything. Within 10 minutes, I had a call from Sergia - amazing! Sergio and Michael bent over backwards making sure my daughter was taken care of while my wife and I dealt with our daughters medical condition- again, 2500+ miles away... Sergio brought her boxes and assisted with packing as well. Little to say, everything was handled quickly, professionally and our anxiety was short lived. I've never worked with the Servpro franchise in MA but they were awesome from start to finish. Michael and Sergio bent over backwards to help and we can't thank them enough. I've always believed that good people make a business successful. When you have a franchise owner and an employee that care, good things happen. I had water damage in a basement space with rugs and exercise mats and other stuff. I called Servpro because I had seen their trucks around and really did not know who else to call. I am so glad I called them because they were able to help me salvage some of the stuff that I thought would have to be replaced. They took all the rugs and mats and cleaned them off site. This was great because I could never have done that, no space for one and no equipment or know-how. Furthermore I would have just spread around mold and mildew in the rest of the basement. Anyway they also told me how to clean what I could clean myself which was cool because that is work they were basically taking away from them selves. Once the area was clear they came back and cleaned everything, set up these big dryer boxes, and after it was clean and dry they put the mats back and all the rugs they were able to clean. The place for the first time didn't smell like a basement! Honestly it was cleaner than it had ever been. They really turned a horrible situation for me into a tolerable one. I hope you never need their services but if you do I would strongly recommend them.

A sewer back-up is a miserable experience but if you have to go through it, this company has got your back. Our sewer backed up after a monsoon downpour. Sergio answered the phone at 9:30pm and got us in the queue for a clean-up the next day. Michael sent out Melvin and his team the next morning and they worked to pull wet carpet out of our basement, moved bins of belongings out of basement, then cleaned and disinfected the area. Came back a week later to finish the job by removing drywall. Again, Melvin and his team worked to keep the dust down while they cut and removed wet drywall. Always helpful and friendly. They did a fantastic job! Throughout the process Michael checked in by phone to see how things were going and to help out with moving the process forward with the insurance company. I can't recommend them enough.

Sergio and his assistant ripped out our raised floor (concealing most of the mess), removed all water & waste and fully disinfected - all in one day. It was short notice and ServPro came in and did everything beautifully. They were very careful with furniture and moving things.
