Rich's My Carpet Cleaning Service has given us excellent service over the years here in Washington, D.C. He has always been so thorough and produced amazing results every time he comes, tackling even old spots with a success that I didn't think possible. He is a very nice person as well -- easy to deal with, flexible and considerate, and he really listens to what you need done and any concerns you have and offers good advice. He also helped me find other people to deal with for non-cleaning carpet/rug issues and even followed up on a small question I had asked him about finding grippers to keep a rug in place by sending me an email with the information I needed. This is the first time I've ever written a review of this type, and I am so pleased that it is for My Carpet Cleaning Service. I wouldn't use anyone else.

We knew Rich from when he came to clean our carpets a couple of years ago. We called him this time following a flooding of our basement through water that had seeped through the windows during heavy rain. The water had run along the wall and soaked the carpet in the main room of the basement. Rich came promptly and took action immediately to prevent the growth of mold on the walls and the carpet. He was able to identify areas of high wetness, including areas that were not visibly wet, and by doing this, he really saved us from mold growth inside the walls. He and his crew worked tirelessly and quickly to open the walls, lift the carpet, remove the underlay, dry everything and later on, repair and make good. The work is now finished and the basement looks brand new, including the carpet, which Rich cleaned thoroughly in the end. Rich went above and beyond to accomodate our schedule, work with our insurance company and budget. His professionalism and knowledge are amazing and he is a pleasure to work with. He and his crew are very neat and have a great attitude. We highly recommend this top quality business.

Rich cleaned several wool and silk oriental rugs for us in July 2017 as well as carpet. The work was done professionally and thoroughly. Impeccable Service!!! It didn't help that when Rich came to my home, my 1yr old granddaughter gave him a big hug that is usually reserved for me..lol. Did I say Impeccable service? I meant it. If you are serious about getting your air ducts and carpets totally cleaned up, Rich's service by far is one of the best in the area. Before we had him come in, our condo-townhouse left by the previous tenant was a mess; the carpets had never been vacuumed and cleaned for over a year, they were filthy and were abused with dirt, dusts, food. The air ducts and vents were equally bad; air filters were never been changed and had almost half inch of dust layer. The condo had bad odor. All of these were gone, Rich fixed everything! and that was exactly what I was looking for from a carpet/air duct cleaning company: resolving issue with high quality and professionalism. His service is not cheap but is overall not terribly expensive. I highly recommend him.

We had used another carpet cleaning service in our home previously and it didn't even come close to being as great as MCC! Rich was so pleasant to work with and I really appreciated the fact that he took my children into consideration when he planned out his cleaning (e.g. doing their rooms first so they would dry before bedtime and making sure they were well ventilated after). His service was incredibly thorough, even getting rid of stains we didn't no were there! Our carpets look like new and we are so pleased with this service.

Rich cleaned the carpets in three rooms of my house this past weekend. This is the first time we have had our carpets cleaned since we moved in a year and a half ago and our carpets look like they did when we moved in. We have a small dog that has occasional accidents in the house and Rich was able to remove the stains after he thoroughly evaluated and explained the process. He was very friendly and professional and even brought my dog treats, which she loved! On a suggestion from our realtor at last minute, we decided to clean our fully carpeted house before selling. The Carpet Cleaning Service team was astounding. Not only were they able to fit us in at extremely short notice, they worked around cleaning while we were even showing the house. They proceeded to examine and determine the exact cause of all the stains and use specific products. By the end, even the stains that we had inherited with the house were completely gone! First off I found this company from searching Google for carpet cleaning services. I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a shot. I left a message for Rich and he called me back promptly. I explained what I was looking for and what my issue was. He set up an appointment to come check out the project. The estimate was very reasonable! A few weeks later Rich and his associate came back out to do the job. We had very old carpet that had filtration lines that were very difficult to remove. Rich worked his magic and did a wonderful job. He even removed paint stains that were 10 years old!! I highly recommend Rich! Don't waste your time or money on the commercial chains. Rich was amazing! My husband and I just bought a new house and my mom uses Rich and raved about him and how good his work is. My carpet in the new home I thought I would have to replace which would have cost $$$ so my mom suggested rich and so glad that I went that way. He made our carpet look almost new ! My kitchen tile were also in need of some TLC. He cleaned then and sealed them to keep them looking new. I highly recommend Rich. Dont know if you can tell from the photo but there was a really darken area in middle of carpet from wear and tear +/- pet wear. It looked completely improved after rich finished

TOP CLEANER_A+++. I was referred to MCC Rich, by the area's top real estate agent who swears by him as "the best I've seen in over 30 years and if he cant get it out no one can." She was right. I made the mistake of earlier using a heavily advertised coupon special service that although cheaper, simply was not trained, did not have the equipment nor the experience to take out my stains which included wax, marker, paint and glue (they were convinced it was impossible). Shortly after Rich arrived, it was apparent that he had quality equipment, a wide range of chemicals and tools, and was highly experienced. Rich took a quick look and was confident he could do the job, saving me from the alternative of having to replace the carpets (at a few thousand dollars) for my house sale. Although it was a very short notice, Rich managed to squeeze me in his tight schedule and get a difficult job done professionally, on time and at a reasonable rate. I am pretty meticulous and frugal, and rarely give enthusiastic recommendations but in this case I am delighted to give him my highest recommendation to everyone I know as he has earned it.

He did what was right, but what all-too-few others would have done: He said “no” to a paying job when “no” was the right response. Rich always goes the extra mile to please his customers. I have heartily recommended him to friends and neighbors for years, and I similarly recommend him to you.

My Carpet Cleaner (Hratch) did a fantastic job on my wool area rug. I'm a serial canine foster mom, and, well, accidents happen. Hratch rolled up and took my area rug to his shop where his thorough cleaning and deodorizing has removed all traces of previous "guests". He didn't sell me on services I didn't need, he even talked me out of some services because he said I really didn't need to do it. He saved me money!
