Decent cleaning, but horrible customer service
My family planned a surprise party for my sister on October 29. I called Maid Brigade Of Upper Marlboro and arranged for them to come clean a 1300 sq ft space, including a refrigerator. I was told that cleaning a 1300 sq ft space on a non-recurring basis would be $215.
The maids arrived 9am on Friday, Oct 28. Upon arrival, I pointed out to them that my kitchen has 2 refrigerators, and left them to their task. I received a phone call at 9:07 stating that the maids needed another 30 mins to work on the kitchen, and that would be an additional $68. Since I really needed both refrigerators cleaned, I agreed to the additional charge. I came into the kitchen at some point during the cleaning and saw that on of the fridge doors was open, and some drawers had been removed. When they finished cleaning the area, I returned to check on the work. Things seemed clean enough. The maids left after that and I thought no more of it.
My family came home and went into the fridge later that evening. They discovered the fridge I saw the maids cleaning still had a few stains. In addition, the fridge door wouldn't shut anymore. After that, I checked the second fridge and discovered it wasn't cleaned at all. There were several stains on the drawers and shelves. I might have called Maid Brigade at that time, but it was after hours on a Friday. They were closed for the weekend. Moreover, I had a party to get ready for.
I called Maid Brigade on Tuesday, Nov 1 to let them know I was dissatisfied with the job they did on my fridge. I was told that they only certify their work for 24 hours, and that I was basically out of luck. I asked to speak to a manager.
I was put in touch with Tina Johnson. I explained my situation and was met with what I'd describe as a lack of concern. She told me that Maid Brigade Of Upper Marlboro doesn't issue refunds. The most I'd be able to get was to have the maids come back and fix the job, if I called them within 24 hours of the service being done. When I asked her if there's nothing she can do, she asked me to send her pictures of the fridges, and she'd get back to me. Once I sent the pictures, she told me that the fridges look clean to her, and she didn't see what the problem was.
I reminded Ms. Johnson that I'm the customer, and I'm telling her that the job wasn't well done. At that point, we had been discussing this poorly done job for four days, and she's made little to no effort to correct the work.
I would discourage anyone from using Maid Brigade Of Upper Marlboro in the future. In my opinion, $283 is too much money to pay for one floor to be cleaned, and to still have spots that are unsatisfactory. I told Ms. Johnson that I will be voicing my displeasure on business review websites such as yelp and others. She never got back to me. If you're looking for your time, money, and patronage to be respected, I'd suggest looking for some other service. Thanks for reading.
