The cleaning job done is a good basic one. The cleaners are friendly and very pleasant and Brian is very responsive to correct any (rare) problems I bring to his attention. My only complaint is that other than the day (Friday) we don't get the cleaning at a consistent time nor do the same people show up. This means some inconsistency in getting details correct as we have to be sure to explain things almost every time. A management problem, not a personnel issue.

1) Day 1 of our biweekly cleaning service with TCA (the most expensive cleaning option you can have, deep clean was performed), the cleaners damaged our silk upholstered bedroom bench by letting something drip on it. I assume they left cleaning containers on the bench. This bench costs $500 and some change. TCA is bonded and insured, BUT I learned the hard way this is for their workers if they get injured and not to make insurance claims for damages caused by their workers (that's basically what I was told). I was offered 1 cleaning service free ($86 value), which apparently is in the contract, and then after I tried to negotiate with one of the owners, i was offered 2 cleaning services free. I tried to explain that they would lose money in the long run because I am canceling with them if they do not replace thee item and they did not care. So as of today I no longer use their service. 2) They continuously forgot to remove trash from the kitchen pantry trash can after notes were added to my file. 3) The 1st time I used them before starting the biweekly service, they did a poor job of mopping, leaving dirt marks by the door. 4) They were told multiple times which rooms were off limits, but they continued to go into those rooms anyway, I end up putting locks on doors. Do yourself a favor and find a cleaning service that will go above and beyond.

The ladies are certainly nice enough, but I truly believe the owners set low expectations that show through in the finished product. The first two cleanings are supposed to be the proverbial floor-to-ceiling, Spring cleanings. We were grossly underwhelmed after the first, and actually had to call and complain to get the team back out after the second, since they didn’t perform basic requirements, let alone a “floor-to-ceiling” clean. We stuck with it for a bit longer, but after the last clean (the 6th or 7th in total), I called no mas. This clean was supposed to focus on the kitchen, and it was the day after a dinner party, so it was sorely in need. I left the house to run an errand as the ladies were parked out front, having lunch. When I returned, 40 minutes later, they were gone. The floor was mopped, clearly without being vacuumed first, the kitchen counters had not been wiped down, the kitchen sink had not been cleaned, and the appliances were given a quick wipe down at best. They used something abrasive and left scratches all over the top of our brand new stainless range, yet still failed to give it an adequate clean. In and out in 40 minutes, and didn’t do the basics. See the trend? I called and expressed my dissatisfaction to Barry, who offered to come out and have them clean again. I declined, as we don’t need the continued bother of calling people out again to re-do what we’re paying them well to do right the first time. I did tell him I would like to be refunded for that last clean, which he refused. He also apologized for his team scratching the range, which I guess is some— albeit weak— attempt of standing behind his work. You can tell a lot about a business by how they handle a mistake. Stand clear of this bunch and find some real professionals.

We have a small (less than 2K SF) bungalow. So, it's a fairly quick clean. The Cleaning Authority had even less square footage to worry about as we told them not to clean our laundry room or my office. So, as we spent $188 to have a little less than 1400SF cleaned... I expected to hear angles singing when I walked in the door... That was, unfortunately, not my experience. For the "discounted" price of $188 - for each of the first TWO "deep cleans" (so, in total we spent $376 to deep clean your whole house), you should know NOT to expect: your dishes to be done, your windows to be wiped or your furniture to be conditioned. They won't touch your laundry, handle your linens or - really - do anything beyond the basics. My stove top was gleaming! As were the faucets in my bathrooms - which was great. But that was about it. While they did "wipe the dust off" of the mantles and the furniture, where I come from, "dusting" involves a little old english (or whatever organic substitute you deem appropriate) and some elbow grease. I want things to shine. Alas, they did not. The day before our kitchen was to receive its deep clean, my daughter had a crumbly, white-chocolate-something-or-another while sitting at the kitchen counter. I swept up after her, but not thoroughly - because (duh) our cleaning service was scheduled to deep clean the very next day. Well, upon returning home - after they'd done their work - there was a chunk of bright, white chocolate in the middle of my kitchen floor. It had been mopped over, so it was nice and stuck. The rest of my experience was similar: dusty base boards, dirty door knobs, there were still children's hand prints on the walls and the cased openings. The doors had not been thoroughly wiped down. Despite telling me that on "living spaces" day, they would vacuum and clean my furniture - there is still junk under the cushions on my sofa and there are visible crumbs on the chairs next to the kitchen. The list goes on, but - I assume - you get the picture. The reason I've given them two stars: the young ladies that came to our home to clean were absolutely delightful. They were professional and pleasant and I really liked them. I just don't think that the Cleaning Authority's business model provided an opportunity to do provide what we expected for that $188.

The ladies are certainly nice enough, but I truly believe the owners set low expectations that show through in the finished product. The first two cleanings are supposed to be the proverbial floor-to-ceiling, Spring cleanings. We were grossly underwhelmed after the first, and actually had to call and complain to get the team back out after the second, since they didn’t perform basic requirements, let alone a “floor-to-ceiling” clean. We stuck with it for a bit longer, but after the last clean (the 6th or 7th in total), I called no mas. This clean was supposed to focus on the kitchen, and it was the day after a dinner party, so it was sorely in need. I left the house to run an errand as the ladies were parked out front, having lunch. When I returned, 40 minutes later, they were gone. The floor was mopped, clearly without being vacuumed first, the kitchen counters had not been wiped down, the kitchen sink had not been cleaned, and the appliances were given a quick wipe down at best. They used something abrasive and left scratches all over the top of our brand new stainless range, yet still failed to give it an adequate clean. In and out in 40 minutes, and didn’t do the basics. See the trend? I called and expressed my dissatisfaction to Barry, who offered to come out and have them clean again. I declined, as we don’t need the continued bother of calling people out again to re-do what we’re paying them well to do right the first time. I did tell him I would like to be refunded for that last clean, which he refused. He also apologized for his team scratching the range, which I guess is some— albeit weak— attempt of standing behind his work. You can tell a lot about a business by how they handle a mistake. Stand clear of this bunch and find some real professionals.
