Five star service. My wife and I had a great experience with Idaho Disaster Kleenup. Harry treated us like family, not as random customers. He provided us with facts about a water leak we had, ways to fix the damage and repairs that we would need. Harry also provided us multiple ways to deal with the problem and options that afforded us cost savings. We helped with a small spot of moisture found in the roofing. He again provided us with facts to make our decision and cost effective ways to address this area. We could not be happier with the services or the personnel!

I recently had significant water damage at a rental of mine and major restoration needed to be done. I hired a different restoration company that was referred by my insurance company and they were horrible to work with and they weren't even willing to finish the project. So halfway through the project I hired Disaster Kleenup and they have been a pleasure to work with. They communicate well and do what they say they will do, and get it done on time. I would recommend them above any other restoration company in the treasure valley.

My bathroom sustained water damage last year. My insurance company recommended Disaster Kleenup. These guys did a great job from beginning to end. They were kind and professional. They used several professional contractors, and every contractor that came in cleaned up everyday. There was never a mess in my house. Anytime I had questions or concerns I was able to get a hold of someone, or they would return my call within a few hours. The work was done in a timely manner as well. Also, they had a professional decorator work with me on the new material for my bathroom. They made sure that they weren't just replacing my shower, but that it fit in perfectly with the rest of my bathroom. It turned out better than it was before the damage! Disaster Kleenup showed up to my house after a fire on December 31st. They claim the fire department called them. They sent me a bill last week indicating I owe them 700 dollars for mediation services. I emailed back as the bill was made out to a different name and an insurance company that was not mine. I received a call today and when I asked what the bill was for they indicated it was for boarding up my property. I indicated that my property was not boarded up and Rachel, the admim person continued to argue with me about how it was. I told her to go look at that property herself. At that time she indicated she would have the project manager call me and hung up. I spoke to Sergio(the project manager) and he indicates that they are charging for being called out. I said I never called and he said that did not matter they went out and I have to pay. He also indicated that because of how long it has been if I don't pay immediately they will be putting a lien on my house. This is just ridiculous! Definitely a bunch of disaster chasers who prey on people's misfortunes and kick them down when they are already on the ground. I would definitely think twice before considering their services!

Upstairs flooded and within an hour Disaster Clean-up was there. We sure appreciate ALL the staff that have come to work on putting our house together. They were professional and got right to work! Gina was very much appreciated. She was here doing a great job with painting. My husband found a leak coming in from a bedroom window while it was raining outside. She jumped into action and got a tarp up on the roof and was in the attic. She had already put in a long day here and saved our house from greater damage! Hope we never need them again; but if we do, they will be our first call!

I had a slow refrigerator ice maker leak back in May. I hired DK to take care of the issue on May 7th... They did a great job of tearing the house apart and getting things dried out. And a wonderful job working with my insurance. However getting stuff put back together has been another story... When the hard wood was put back in, they left a 1/2 inch gap between the hardwood and other flooring. They also threw away some of my cabinet trim. It's been over 4 months and i'm still waiting for the last items to be finished. Every couple weeks i get a promise that the remaining items will be taken care of asap... I'm still holding payment for the project to be completed...

On 10-18-16 we had a water softer blowout and flooded a good portion of our house. We had left at 8:30 Am for appointments, and upon returning at 11:30AM discovered the disaster. We immediately called our homeowner insurance agent, who notified our insurance company, and their claims adjuster called us about 1:30PM. He was very helpful to explain the claims process, asked for details of disaster, and told us their list of approved disaster cleanup/reconstruction companies. We chose DK (Disaster Kleenup), Nampa, ID who were at the top of the approved list. DK responded promptly at 2 PM, their cleanup crew arrived at 3PM to start the process, and by 11PM had completed initial processes, including vacuum water up, move furniture, pull baseboards, pull up dining room hardwood floor, pull carpet pads, and set commercial fans for dry out. We stayed with our son/family for 4 days and on 5th day were able to move back in on dry floors. Two/three weeks later our hardwood floor was replaced, carpet pads were replaced, carpets cleaned, appliances moved back, baseboards replaced, minor repairs completed, and insurance proceeds received covered all but my deductible less some adjustments. Overall, Dk's entire staff & team headed up by Del Klein were just outstanding! We appreciated their friendly attitudes, expertise, good quality work, and how they all went out of their way to take such good care of us. We discovered an irrigation problem on a Saturday that left our crawl space flooded. Harry sent a crew over in about 45 minutes and explained how they could correct the problem. They did what they said they would do. The invoice came in at the same price they quoted over the phone. And they finished the job when they said they would. I could not ask for any more. Disaster Kleenup provided an extremely prompt clean-up and restoration when the main water-line in our commercial building began to leak. Seth Perry was on site immediately to inspect the affected areas, identified the problem and had equipment and a crew in place within hours. Despite carpet, baseboards, drywall, paint and plumbing needing fixed/replaced, the quality of work upon completion left us feeling as if no damage ever occurred. Many options exist when it comes to damage restoration companies in the Treasure Valley but we would highly recommended Disaster Kleenup and will use hem again should the need arise in the future.

Where can I start, if I could give them 0 stars I would. We had a house fire and they were the company that the fire department called. It all started out good. Joe Blackwood came to our house and got things boarded up that night, but that’s where the helpfulness ended. Our house was damaged but it was estimated to be back in our house 3-4 months later but it ended up being 8 months and the only reason it got done was because we fired them. They replaced the trusses in our house that were damaged WITHOUT pulling permits and our house was ticketed with a “Stop Work” sticker on our window. They started on the siding and did an AWFUL job. They asked us to sign a waiver that didn’t require them to warranty their work because we wanted them to stagger our siding so that we didn’t have vertical boards every 8 feet. We provided them with instructions on how to install the specific product that they chose. They didn’t replace the fascia board, the soffit, and instead of replacing the gable completely they took a skill saw an inch away from the top of the gable then attempted to match the new siding with inch left at the top. It doesn’t stop there either! Their workers used our toilets but there was no running water because they didn’t supply an porta-potty. So it was left to us to go check on the progress of the house to find standing raw sewage in both of our bathrooms. We called and talked with Joe and he promised it would be done, it took until the next week for it to be fixed. Then he ensured us that the toilets would be pulled to avoid this problem again. Joe never had the toilets pulled and two weeks later there was raw sewage again in our master bathroom. We asked them to fix it again and it took another 4 days to have the guest bathroom toilet pulled with sewage still in our master. We finally got them both pulled. We decided to fire them and hire a new contractor but DK still had all of our belongings in their storage. They overcharged our insurance for EVERYTHING including things they never did! Example: we didn’t have closet doors but they charged to take those off along with every other door in the house (still never happened). Also, those permits they didn’t pull and we got ticketed for? They charged us for them! They held our stuff hostage because they couldn’t agree on a price with our insurance (because they were charging for things they never did). It took them two months to get things “right”. Then told us our bill was later because we hadn’t paid it within a week, still without an itemized invoice sent to our insurance. They damaged our garage door. While I will give them credit for replacing the whole door when they one damaged one panel, they didn’t replace it with the insulated panels that were there before the damaged them they also didn’t hook it up so now we are responsible for getting it to work again. Although they promised they would insulate them after we paid them we have not heard from them nor am I holding my breath for it! In the end, our insurance paid them just to be done with them. Honestly, there’s more I could say but I think you get it by now. Will never recommend this company for anything to anyone, would only advise to stay as far away as possible from them. Side note, JK Construction was able to finish the whole thing in two and a half months.

Everyone that we came in contact with was courteous and professional. When we had questions, they were always answered. Where do I start? I guess the beginning. Well, after a major water leak (flood) that originated from underneath the kitchen sink, our one story house was exposed to several inches of water. Luckily, our next door neighbor was home and knew who to call on our behalf. Literally, within an hour of the flood Disaster Kleenup arrived and began extracting the water, mitigating the problem by moving out appliances, removing soaked carpet pads as well as wet insulation in the crawl space underneath our house, and spraying anti-microbial agents to prevent bacteria or mold. When the moisture was extracted out of the remaining carpet and the laminate was removed from the walls, DK employees set up 13 large industrial fans and a dehumidifier to siphon water. The next week was admittedly a blur, buzzing and humming fans, exposed carpet tacks, the look and feel of a partially constructed dwelling, meetings with DK (Sergio the DK contact/foreman as our general contractor), the insurance adjuster, Mike's Flooring, two amazing installers (Jessie and Paul), DK's crews from their hazmat team who crawled through our crawlspace to repair and replace duct work and insulation, to their construction clean-up crew etc. What I can say is this: Sergio represented DK as if it was his own personal company and treated us with the utmost respect. He was the calm during the storm and guided us safely through the entire hectic event. Every person who entered our house was professional, polite, respectful, and thorough. I was so impressed with Mike's Flooring who came out to our house with a multitude of carpet and vinyl samples and let us compare colors, patterns, and quality within our own house. Ultimately Mike helped us pick flooring that not only replaced what we had but surpassed our highest expectations. A final shout out to Jessie and Paul who I practically consider friends at this point. I have purchased eight homes over my life span and had my fair share of remodeling done and even fired a crew before, but I have never seen two men work so hard and do such a great job as Jessie and Paul. What I'm trying to say is that DK employs and uses sub contractors that absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Long story short, two weeks to the day, with over 10K in damages repaired and restored, I can say with all honesty that our house looks better now than it did the day we bought it brand new eleven years ago. Thanks to Disaster Kleenup (Sergio) and the sub contractors that they employ our ordeal is over and our house is better than ever before. On September 2, 2014, we had the cold water connection under our master bathroom sink pull apart. In 20 minutes, water was flowing not only in our bathroom/closet area, but had traveled partially into our master bedroom, office/closet area, small hallway, and entry. It had just started into the living room when the leak was stopped. We made an attempt to vacuum up the water from the carpets, but, when the hardwood floors (office/closet area, small hall, & entry) started bowing and separating, we realized we needed to contact one of the disaster cleanup companies. After a quick review of customer comments, we contacted Disaster Kleenup (DK) in Nampa, ID, and we could not be happier with our choice! Our main contact person was Del. Immediately, Del made us feel at ease, and that his team would have our home back in order very soon. Within a couple of hours, all the furniture (and we have a lot and very heavy), and the wet carpeting/padding were out of the house. The furniture was staged in the garage, and the DK team paid close attention to the care of all our items, by laying plastic on the garage floor, covering pieces for protection, and made sure not to damage any walls. Del worked will with our insurance company, Sunrise Flooring for replacing the hardwood floors, and Fashion Floors & Interior Design (Nampa) for replacing the carpet. We discovered that the carpet in the living room was salvageable, so Del made arrangements for the carpet to be cleaned. Our damage could have been so much worse, and we are so thankful that it was not. And, we are extremely thankful that DK came in and did their job! We were kept abreast of each step, what they promised was completed in a timely manner, every team member was friendly and very professional, and we never worried about theft. Best of all, there is NO EVIDENCE we had any water damage.
