This might not have been a five-star review if not for the excellent way in which my initial impression, which was very mixed, had been handled. The cleaning had been spotty, with the appliances looking spotless and beautiful, while other more obvious and simple things had been left undone. I hadn't received a call asking what I might have prioritized until the allotted time was basically up. Enter management, who understood and realized why I was disappointed, and handled it perfectly from there, apologizing and immediately going back to wrap things up for me so the house could go on market. This is ultimately a very good sign, to me, about how a company's run, and Castle Cleaners is run well. Highly recommend them.

Haley and Jessica are my usual crew and they do a wonderful job. The house always looks great, they go the extra step when something is messy (think spilled tomato sauce on the cupboards) and are super friendly. They are great with my dog which i realize isn't a cleaning criteria but it makes my life a ton easier when the dog likes the cleaners and/or the cleaners aren't terrified of our pup (who is super friendly but barky at first). I have to say I was a bit hesitant after they got bought out by a national company (when we started using this company it was Better Life Maids), the first cleaning after the buyout wasn't as good as usual, and the admin portion was a mess but they got it together and it's back to normal. My only complaint is the admin/calling/email/timeslot stuff is still a bit annoying since it's all handled by people not in Portland but it has not affected how clean our house is after a visit.

The quality control and attention to detail is lacking with this company. I even gave this company a second chance. The first time they “cleaned” they forgot an entire floor of my house. What they did clean, I just felt like they wiped things down in the house and didn’t really feel or look clean. The edges of the wood floor along baseboards was dirty. They wiped crumbs from the kitchen table onto the chairs and didn’t clean the chairs, etc. They did come back out and cleaned they rooms they had forgotten and also re-cleaned our areas of concern. I was pleased when they were finished. The following month I gave them another shot. This time they got all the rooms but it just felt wiped down, not clean. The front of the fridge and my trash cans weren’t wiped down. One bathroom, which gets the most use, wasn’t cleaned sufficiently. You could also tell whoever did the shower doors cleaned the upper parts of the glass but only bent down so far. The bottom few inches weren’t cleaned. We could actually see the wiping swipes where they cleaned and where they had stopped. They did reach out to me after the cleaning to see if I was happy. I explained I wasn’t and they offered to make it right, but I already gave them 2 chances. That was enough for me. If you’re looking for attention to detail, I would look elsewhere.

We moved to Portland in June and needed a new cleaning service. I called a number of different places to compare rates and schedules. I found Castle Keepers to be one of the few reasonable options. My initial consultation was very informative. I was able to explain my situation...what we needed and did not. When I ultimately scheduled the first cleaning, they provided scheduling reminders and called the morning of with a small window when they would arrive (key for me because I work from home). So far we are 3 months in and the service is fantastic. The crews always arrive when they tell you. Every one of the employees I have interacted with has been super nice and, most importantly, they do a great job cleaning. We have not had a single issue to bring up so far, so I would highly recommend!

I have a similar story to another reviewer. The cleaning ladies were very nice, but when I got home they hadn't made my bed, the floors were still dirty, and one of the bedrooms hadn't even been touched. I called Castle Keepers and they apologized profusely. They sent someone back out the next day and cleaned the house again at no charge. Lateshia and Nichole paid special attention to every area of the house, and I greatly appreciate how hard they worked to correct a mistake.

Very very poor experience the company gave me an arrival window of 11am-1pm i couldn't even tell you what time they eventually came. I had to go about my day Around 130 i left the door unlocked and left. I got home just before 5 and they were still cleaning, mind you i live in a very small 1 bedroom apartment that at the time was completely empty. The cleaning for the most part was OK. But small smudges on the wall that i easily wiped away with a Lysol wipe, there was astain on the carpet that i quickly removed with some laundry detergent and a paper towel and the inside of the fire place was dusty that with some paper towels and water i wiped up, all in just a few minutes of extra cleaning. I normally keep a pretty clean place the only reason i had cleaners come in was for the termination of my lease agreement and for close to 200 dollars i will not ever support a professional cleaning service again. This entire experience was a waste of time and money.

I have been using Castle Keepers for a couple of months now. They do a fantastic job! There was one time where quite a few things were missed. After each visit they send an email so you can write a review of how they did. I expressed my concerns and they came back out and re-cleaned EVERYTHING (all the spots they missed plus some) for free. I have two dogs and a cat and I was drowning in animal hair before Castle Keepers started coming out every other week. Make sure if you have a specific area they need to focus on you let them know and they will get it done.

While driving on 217 today, I encountered two young women driving a car with a castle Keepers sign on the door. Traffic was kind of thick and I had to get out from behind someone rather quickly. I signaled and pulled in front of these two young women. They pulled up next to me and we're incredibly rude even though I apologized. I will never use this service. Cleaning was acceptable and cleaning ladies were friendly, however they will clean ONLY what they state on their terms of service. They charge a two hour minimum. This is fine, except they took 1 hour to do a move out clean for my 1 bedroom apartment and left, leaving me to pay for an extra hour of unused service. They did not even dust the blinds and they will NOT even dust the top of a refrigerator, let alone clean it, unless you pay an extra $35 (same goes for stoves). I guess the extra $90 for an unused hour of labor doesn't count towards this. I highly recommend using Domestic Divas of Charleston instead.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ALL LEVELS!!! Yesterday we had this company come start a rotational deep clean on a biweekly basis. The staff showed up and was extremely unfriendly and just stated they start upstairs. The cleaners literally took 1 hour and left before I could speak with them. After they left I walked around looking at the designated areas they stated they "DEEP CLEANED" . I have attached pictures of what they considered a deep clean. Contacted the company and was told they offer a 48 hour period for them to come back out... Why should I have to call y'all back out to do your job??? Informed them I do not want to be charged due to the lack of work performed... Took a look at my account and they charged it this morning... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I've never had such an awful experience in my life. I scheduled this company a week and a half in advance for our move out clean. I requested they come out first thing in the morning, their earliest appointment being 9am. The day before they called me as a reminder saying they would be at the house at 1300. I told them that was unacceptable and not what I scheduled and they reassured me that they would be out here the next day at 0900. On the day of service I received a call from them at 857 that they would not be there until 1100. At 1130 when then still had not shown I called asking where they were they told me they would be there within the hour. At 1300 when they still had not shown I cancelled their service and was forced to come back to the house and clean it myself (I am 8.5 months pregnant). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO!!

Terrible job cleaning. Was supposed to be a deep clean in three bathrooms and a kitchen in an empty house. Fingernail clippings in the bathroom drawers, hairball in one shower drain, dirty soap holders and plastic piece covering drain in second shower, third shower not cleaned at all! Kitchen cupboard handles not cleaned well, dirt still in the drawers, face of a few cupboards sticky. They were going to come "redo" missed things, but I'm so disgusted I don't want them back in my home.

I've been using Castle Keepers for over six months now and I have been very pleased with the service they offer. I'm on their every-other week cleaning plan. That means I get an automated email and phone call reminder the day before they come and then every two weeks they show up on the same day at the same time to clean my house. If for any reason I need to reschedule the office is very responsive and accommodating (though I would note that it is much better to call them than to email as they don't seem to process their email very quickly.) Their cleaners always arrive promptly and the ladies I have met have all been polite and friendly. They do an excellent job cleaning and the honesty and integrity the staff has consistently demonstrated has made me completely comfortable leaving them alone in my house. If you're looking for reliable, honest, friendly and affordable house cleaners here in Greenville I would totally recommend them. I'm telling you, there is nothing more amazing than coming home to a sparklingly clean home at the end of the day. Try it once and you'll be hooked.

Second time using this company for their Deep Clean service. You expect a certain level of detail when you pay for cleaning services. Especially a premium price for deep cleaning. Both times have been marginal and they overlooked many areas. I travel for work and like to have a deep clean done occasionally for “big jobs” jobs such as washing baseboards. I had to specifically ask for this to be done before the crew left, even though it’s a part of the service. I had to show them that it hadn’t been done, and it was obvious. Also they didn’t dust anything in our small office (bookshelves mainly) and also overlooked cleaning several window sills. Master shower still needs cleaning after they left. They did a good job on my floors. I’ll just finish the job myself but I’m disappointed. 7/23/18 UPDATE: Castle Keepers called and offered to come back and fix the listed items at no charge. Their customer service is great and they do stand by their satisfaction guarantee. Since I had already completed cleaning the missed areas myself, they offered a discount.

The customer service over the phone was fantastic. They were able to get me booked quickly and were very accommodating when I needed to reschedule due to our water heater breaking. The cleaning team was also very friendly. However, for $150, they spent little over an hour "deep cleaning." After they were finished, it basically looked like a general wipe down. There was a small sticker on the floor before they came that was still there after they left. All it required was bending down and picking it up. Our master bathroom shower looked untouched. There was soap scum and pieces of hair all over the shower floor and in the cutouts and crevices. The floor in our master bathroom looked untouched as well. I am extremely disappointed at the level of cleaning for the time and the price. I now have to bring someone else in to clean because my house certainly isn't clean and I'm one day away from having an entire house of family filling the home. The only thing I think was done very well is the vacuuming of the carpets.

This company broke the blinds in my house while cleaning. I called and told them about it. They said that if I go out and buy new blinds, then they would reimburse me for those blinds. It has been four weeks that I have waited for the reimbursement now. I have texted the cleaners number and have called and no one has responded to refund me any money. As far as cleaning is concerned, I was happy to begin with. But upon further inspection, I was actually really disappointed. I still had cob-webs in the corners of my rooms (with 8 foot ceilings) cobwebs above the refrigerator, and cobwebs around the tops of my ceiling fans. If you want someone that will charge an arm and a leg for doing half of the job they agreed to, this is the place for you!
