If I could give no stars I would. This is the abridged version since it would be too long if it were not. The teams were always late, they sent a cleaner who is scared of dogs to my house with two dogs, all but two of the cleans I received were awful and the two were simply subpar, they tried to charge me a cancellation fee when I tried to cancel my contract after their team was unsure about the whereabouts of my house key and Merry Maids had to rekey my house. They sent someone to my house after I received confirmation from multiple levels of management that she would not be back. There was no communication from management to the cleaners about any special requests or notes I left. Management never seemed to care about resolving anything but simply trying to keep me as a customer, regardless of how miserable my experience or how stressful the situation. Ultimately it was the worst customer service experience I ever had, the only saving grace was their estimator, Fawn, who was always very helpful and nice. I would post pictures but there are far too many, just know it looked like a dirty house and that's after a few hours of cleaning, which I was informed was a $600 value I would need to pay if I cancelled the contract. So be wary of the value if you're looking at this company because they outbid their competitors- cause you get what you pay for.

Disappointed with Merry Maids of New Braunfels. We hired them to do a deep clean on our vacant home. The quoted price was $500 and we were assured that the cleaners would thoroughly clean every room. The cleaners were scheduled on a Friday (first mistake). I arrived later that afternoon to inspect the home. The front door was unlocked and the key was in door! The floors had been lightly mopped with evidence of streaks and existing stains in several areas. The vacuum work on the carpets looked erratic and lacked uniformity. I found small pieces of debris in every room. I'm a reasonable person and I wasn't expecting perfection, but this was sub-par at best. The crew emptied the mob buckets on the front porch! The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is due the management sending a crew back to try to remedy the job a couple days latter. Hopefully your hiring practices will improve and your employees will take ownership over the jobs they do.

The bathrooms were not cleaned properly. I can provide pictures of the way the glass and tile was cleaned. The tile floors are not cleaned well, dust and dirt in the corners of the floors. There is dust all over. They basically have to clean one bedroom thoroughly and vacuum, dust the other two. I am very dissatisfied!! I would like an INTENSE cleaning tomorrow at no cost. We have had so many different teams each week, it’s terrible. I travel for my job and expect to come home to an immaculate house. The way I clean. I would expect to have someone come out and check their performance without them knowing. We have expressed our dissatisfaction many times and things do not improve!! We are ready to discontinue. The best team was the team we had initially and then they quit!

Kayla and Katie (Team #3) did an outstanding job. They pointed out areas that previous maids did not clean and then they cleaned them. They were very thorough. I called the office and told them that I will not accept any other maids to clean my home. If they are not assigned each visit, I will use another company. Merry Maids are fortunate to have Kayla and Katie on their staff.

I am a former employee of merry maids. I would like to enlighten you all on how things are run in the new Braunfels office. Stacy schedules houses as she desires not as the customers see fit. They have no remorse for mistakes made on scheduling upsetting customers. We have lost 11 employees in two weeks due to non payment or services or gas reimbursements. And a total of 35 customers unhappy customers. A business is run and only successfully run by a great office team and management. If you take care of your employees they in turn take care of your company and your customers. But when you have an office run by incompetence you are guaranteed to fail. They have 4 employees. And refuse to pay correctly give mileage reimbursement and wonder why the business is crashing. I refuse to be treated less than my worth I have been there for over a year, lived to not paid for hrs not paid for gas, not paid for holidays we were promised, not had any positive from Mr. David Cantue the owner of the company. It's a sad business when you don't care about your customers or your employees. Look for another company save your money. Take my advice.

They clean OK but beware of the price. Two girls worked about two and a half hours. They charged over $300. A good bit more. We tipped the girls before we knew we were getting charged well over a hundred dollars an hour for them. I wasted my time training for a skilled job as I could never make that kind of money.
