Awesome job, amazed at how dirty my ducts were, thought they might be since the house was built in the 1940's, and after opening the vents we could see that the older ducts were probably never, ever cleaned (see (1) & (2) pictures). My technician was very knowledgeable and explained everything as he went along. I like to know how things work, so I was his shadow following along, asking questions, snapping pictures....and he was more than helpful and welcomed my questions and presence. Stanley was super kind, professional and efficient. He took the time to explain my system to me as well as show me videos and photos of the black mold within our system. He noticed we don’t have an attic fan and suggested getting one installed to help regulate the temperature in the hot months. He not only cleaned up after the cleaning but also swept up our dog hair under our dryer (used the dryer plug, so he pulled it out) and took out my full garbage for me. Wonderful experience with him, and the mold is gone, so we can breath easy.

When you meet them and they review what they are going to do you automatically (I do not use that word loosely either) feel comfortable and know your job will be done correctly, efficiently and with a positive pleasant attitude. Classic bait and switch. Once at my father's house, told me that blower needed to be cleaned and that would be another $325. Was this the first time they've worked on a heating system with a blower?! Why not mention this during the quote on the phone? When I asked why cleaning the blades on a little blower with easy access, a 20-45 minute job at most, as so expensive, I got the run around you would expect from someone who's cheating you. I was in a pinch because I was doing this for my handicapped father and was only there for 24 hrs, had to get the work done at any price. They ignored me and tried to talk around the issue. They were happy they got their $1000, and hoped I'd go away. I think business is good for them, and so they don't care about treating people right. They took advantage of a handicapped old man on social security. If I didn't live 3000 miles away, I wouldn't have let this happen and would be in their office talking to them face to face. Steve, the fellow who answers the phone, was very disappointing. He interrupted frequently, wouldn't listen, and put me on the defensive for asking a simple question: "What am I paying for?"

Hello, Today, Better Air cleaned our vents. I was pleasantly pleased. Two techs arrived: Stanley and Danny. They were very friendly, and explained the process. We walked around the home and located the vents, and they immediately went to work. I was amazed with the equipment and was impressed with the before and after. The vents were so clean, and the Thyme oil made the house smell really nice. They did not leave a mess at all! They wore booties over their shoes, and were careful with the furnishings in my home. Kenny did a good job cleaning out the air ducts and explaining what he found and what he did. However, the final cost was more than twice what I had been quoted on the phone. I think that we were misled. My husband and I had the feeling that some items were added that weren't necessary and that we were taken advantage of. Also, Kenny said that he would clean our dryer vent before he left. He forgot to do that.

I had the pleasure of having Stanley W. of Better Air complete the cleaning of all the ducts, returns and trunk lines in my house. Upon his arrival, he explained the cleaning process which I previewed previously on-line. He arrived on time, wore plastic booties on his feet from the time he entered the house, and he was very thorough in his work. He showed me before and after videos he took of each vent as I watched him efficiently do his job. He was professional, respectful, polite, extremely competent and personable. He took the time necessary to make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. The equipment is commercial-grade with a high capacity cfm (cubic feet per minute) suction of air into his robot-like portable vacuum. I would not hesitate to recommend Better Air to anyone considering a whole-house duct work cleaning. Definitely a 5 out of 5 star rating

Had my ducts cleaned today. I had issues with a heavy mold smell when I ran the a/c that was giving me a sore throat. Better Air came out and did the job and resolved my issue. You need to do your homework before they come. They will recommend the most expensive option which includes a $1100 UV filtration system (the same system can be purchased online for $250 and installed in 30 mins if you're handy) and an expensive blower cleaning which can be done with a shop vac by most people. I opted out of the UV and the blower cleaning for $349 (I think) but did have the Benefect duct sanitizer done for $249 (seems expensive since the stuff is less than $50/gal on Amazon). My system needed to be cleaned and the Thyme oil sanitizer made the house smell good. Great service, in and out in 2 hrs but was kind of expensive. Be informed and hang onto your wallet when they come and you will be fine. Would recommend and probably would use again.

The job seemed to go well but I have some suggestions for future jobs. - check ALL vents that were covered or closed before leaving - 2 of my output vents were not reopened (wondered why it was cold in what is usually the warmest room in the house) - the plastic over the largest return in the house was not removed - If you find a problem with the vent cover (one side had no screw) please point it out. I was able to repair this, but it would have been nice to be made aware of the situation It is nice to wake up without a sore throat from the dust.

LOVE this service! I called Safeside in Hartford and they were very mean and rude, and were booked for a whole month. Called Better Air instead and they got me fitted in for an appointment the SAME day! Marcus, my service tech, was wonderful. Even though we had movers tromping around the house he took the time to put booties on his shoes before coming in. He did a thorough inspection and explained every aspect of the process and pricing to me before getting started, and even indulged me as I dragged him around having him show everyone my "before" video. They did some serious magic on what had been a horrifically dirty property. Pricing was expensive, but not out of the ordinary based on the research I have done. Cannot thank these guys enough!

Better Air is excellent and we recommend them highly. I called their office and spoke to the manager, Steve. He was patient and helpful and explained the process completely. We purchased standard duct cleaning plus the APCO air detox system (which uses UV to kill mold). Our technician, Stanley, arrived on schedule and was extremely professional, helpful and personable. First, he gave us a complete overview of the process, then he put on a pair of sterile shoe booties and began working. He invited us to follow along and explained each step as he was doing it. He not only answered all of our questions but MADE VIDEOS of our ducts before and after the cleaning so that we could see the difference. We were very curious and he was happy to give us a demo of each cleaning tool so we could better understand what was happening. We had had our ducts cleaned before by another company, but the process was nowhere near as thorough as Better Air's. Stanley also cleaned up after himself and did a final inspection of the house to confirm that everything was accomplished according to plan. We can't say enough good things about this service -- Thank you!
