Although the experience started out great it had a rather unhappy ending. I was referred to Desiree and her team by a credible source upon purchasing a new home. The house didn’t show well which meant that it needed a thorough cleaning, from top to bottom, so paying for a cleaning service was the right route to take. Desiree was very responsive and friendly both on the phone and via text, even coming out to my new home to provide a free estimate on service cost. She was open to working within my budget, taking note of what areas in the house needed more attention (kitchen and bathroom) which I appreciated.
On the day of service, Desiree sent out two of her employees, who were also friendly upon arrival, for a total of five hours. I was not home during their cleaning as I was still living in my rental so could not see exactly what was being cleaned but when I arrived to pay them, they were already packing up – 5 minutes early stating that they did as much as they could. Let me preface the following by saying that before the crew came I did a quick cleaning of the kitchen, baseboards, and bathroom so they could spend more time elsewhere. After the cleaning crew left and as I moved in over the next month I began to notice that things were still dirty, things that were easy to clean and listed on their Move-In Cleaning list. Fan blades and ceilings were not dusted, cabinet doors and baseboards were not wiped down, floors were not mopped, etc. The list goes on and on.
But the biggest let down of the service was finding the old tenants trash and other items left on the top shelves in the kitchen cabinets when I went to unpack. This was a huge disappointment as the kitchen was one of the areas I requested Desiree’s team to focus on and if they had, they would have found these items (5 different cabinets total). I reached out to Desiree about this issue to which she apologized and stated that “this is what happens when we are time restricted due to budget.” Please note that my last message regarding finding more debris in the cabinets was never answered.
I am just so disappointed because you put trust into someone to follow through with their words and when they don’t, it’s because of the client and their restrictions, not the company. I had to go over what Desiree’s team supposedly cleaned as I didn’t feel like they did really anything to the company’s standards and being my new home, I didn’t feel comfortable in it. It’s just unfortunate that I paid so much money to be so dissatisfied.
