Worst service ever!! They came out to clean my hardwood floors. Both of them seem lost. One didn't talk at all. He did all of no work. They didn't even move my furniture, as in the video they provided. I asked about an area that they said they had done. He said he would "hit" it again. He didn't. They did three rooms in 15 minutes and it looked the same as when they began. I went to Home Depot to get my own supplies and did it myself. I started with the area that he said he "hit" twice and on my first try, it was taken care of. Keep your money and do it yourself or call someone who knows what they're doing. They don't.

Ugh. I just had the worst experience with these guys. I had an appointment scheduled to clean my area rug and the guys arrive, check things out. Then one leaves to go get more cleaning solution and comes back to say his boss says he can't clean my rug because it's a wool, silk, bamboo blend. These are all normal materials for a rug and if Stanley Steemer is calling themselves a rug and carpet cleaning company then they should be able to clean all materials or at least ask in advance of the appointment before anyone wastes their time (taking the morning off, moving furniture, etc.). These guys are more concerned with liability than customer service which is a total bummer.

Stanley Steamer was fantastic! I thought my kitchen ceramic tile floor was losing the color it had originally been, with small black marks in high traffic areas. However, after listening to Larry and Ed saying it was dirty and after their cleaning , the floor would improve by 80%. I’m so glad I listened because it’s like magic, th floor looks 95% better! All those black marks are gone and my floor is once gain one color and th grout looks fantastic as well. I also had my sectional sofa cleaned, deodorized and protected and am so happy with the way my old sofa looks now.Thanks, guys, for an amazing job. Another plus was that these gentlemen came during the designated time (rare these days) and did the job well, kept me informed and gave me suggestions on how to keep my floor and sofa looking great. Outrageously expensive. They offer so many options and add-ons every one of which is ridiculously more $$$. They said I needed enzyme deodorizer which has no fragrance. House smells worse after the cleaning!!! I've never had carpets cleaned before and it wasn't worth nearly $2000 for a six bed rental property!!! I had no idea what to expect and I'm disappointed and out a lot of money.

I had "Zerorez" come clean my carpets last week and did an awful job on stains I could have scrubbed out by hand, high traffic areas were still dark, dirty and looked like it was never cleaned. Sysco and Jerrell came from "Stanley Steemer" and did an excellent job. I had them go over everything all over again plus two more rooms One of the rooms had huge stains all over and was disgusting. They took their time cleaning everything and all the carpets look brand new. Just saying I will never call anyone else to clean my carpets but Sysco and Jerrell from "Stanley Steemer."

Got out the stains but the odor after they were done was not pleasant and it stayed that way for hours. Very distasteful smell. Should really considering using a deodorizer during the cleaning process. I have my carpets cleaned on a regular basis but this was the first for Stanley Steemer and I’ve never had a lingering smell like this before.

Im giving a one star because I cant give a zero stars. WORST customer service EVER. The technician came in with a total attittude. We knew something was up. I told my husband watch them try to hike up the price. I asked the tech if I could get a quote on also steam cleaning the linoleum since he was already here and we were having the entire households carpet cleaned. He avoided to question and said first I need to see what kind of chemicals I will be using on your carpets...just went down hill from there. He proceeded to do a TEST spot in the middle of are livingroom carpet. It looked amazing. We thought thats great. We were quoted $109 for entire house. We are going to get taken car of. NOPE, he said this is what I need to do and its going to cost you almost $500. You HAVE to have a deep clean. NO, we wanted a steam clean at the price we were quoted. He was pressuring us stating then he cant do the job. We called the office and the customer service schedualer became combative with my husband and then with me. The tech began to pack up leaving this SPOT in the middle of my livingroom. WORST cust service I ever ever had. We arent even new to Stanley..been using them for years. There upgrading technique to get more money from you is brutal. I even recorded the entire thing on video and am going the news with it. They litterally bullied us right infront of our children. I will tell everyone I know about this high pressure service EVEN on social media as I am born and raised in Vegas and have never experience this sort of battle from a service provider in my own home. To add insult to injury NOW they are saying the deoderaizer in NOT included when it WAS included in the over the phone qoute. NEVER AGAIN!!

Hummmm. Looks basically exactly the same as it did before. Same stains in the grout. I actually paid an extra 50 something dollars to have the grout sealed, because I thought that's why it was staining. I don't see how the grout can be sealed when it still darkens with water. I feel like I might have been taken for a ride on this one.

My basement flooded two inches throughout, even though I have French drains and a sump pump. The flash flooding was too much to handle. Stanlet Steemer provided an estimate, negotiated each part of the service and remediated the water within four hours. I was especially pleased with their handling of my rugs and furnishings and small stuff. I purchased bins at WalMart to store items in, and they emptied shelves to remove soggy bookcases. The floor was cleaned to the baseboards and they left fans and an industrial dehumidifier overnight. I chose to leave the drywall as is, due to price of removal they offered $349.00. All was beyond my expectaions for excellent service. Thank you.

We had to choose this service to clean our hallway and flights of stairs on request of our co-op board. Unfortunately the quoting system on the website was so vague, with practically no choice of material and viable information on pricing/space size ratio, that we ended up paying more than 3 times the amount of what was expected and what was sent as a quote by the company, including a highly unprofessional cleaner, that keeps adding to the pricing, even after the walkthrough was done and the new price was agreed on. He changed his mind, saying it was stone and not tile, while walkthrough he tried to sell us extra protection and treatment of tiles not even knowing if the carpet was protected before. Do not recommend, at least absolutely not in customer handling.

Both technicians and the scheduler were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a bad experience where a company posed as Stanley Steamer and sent a random man in a van with no markings for identification whatsoever. When we ask the company and this employee if they were with Stanley and both lied to my wife to her face. After finding out who they were and telling them to leave the guy tried doing some under the table dealing for cash only and no receipt. I got ahold of Stanley and told them what happened and they were shocked. The scheduler informed us who out technician would be and their vehicle description. They give military discount and gaurantee the work. Awesome job guys.

Mr Otha Hardimon and Mr Jeff Coat arrived right on time. Both were neat , polite, and pleasant to be around. They got right to work. Both my wife and I were very surprised to see how much difference their cleaning made. There is a section right in front of the front door the was much darker than the rest of the carpet. We figured it was going to have to be covered with a throw rug. The crew did their magic and now it looks like the rest of the carpet. They got out stains from my shop we had given up on. Last year we tried another company, and were disappointed. Stanley will be back here on a yearly basis.

They just left and I am thrilled. I originally employed them to just do the kitchen/hallway tile but I was so happy with the work I had them do my carpeting as well. Firstly, they arrived promptly and confirmed that the price quoted on the phone was the price. This had concerned me when I made the appointment. In fact, it was less than the company I had previously used and Stanley Steemer did a better job. The grout turned back to white from black and they got close to the walls and all the corners in the tiled rooms. The stains from my dog peeing on the carpeting are gone and hopefully they will not come back. I definitely recommend Stanley Steemer and the guys who did the job.

When we moved , we wanted our three large rugs to get a good cleaning before laying them out in the new house. I took them to the Stanley Steemer facility but the staff unloaded them for me. They laid them out to measure and note any problems. Gave me an estimate for me to pick up or have them deliver. I had them delivered. Either way, it wasn’t cheap, so consider the sizes and realize they have huge machines to clean them. The rugs were cleaned faster than estimated and delivered one Saturday morning by guys who helped move furniture to lay out the rugs right where we wanted them.

The professionalism of the team that came to clean my carpets was top notch. They removed stains and I was satisfied with the work. All details were explained. I’m giving the service a 4 star and not a five because their equipment had limitations. We have baseboard heat and as a result the equipment would not clean 2” inches of carpet around the perimeter of the walls. Hopefully vacuuming will make the area under the baseboard that wasn’t cleaned less noticeable.

Unprofessional, late, INACCURATE QUOTE and poor job. The main guy out of the two man team that came to clean my carpets and hard wood floors was completely unprofessional. Continuously complained about moving ONE piece of furniture that I, a mother of two kids under three years of age, could not move before their arrival. Said he had a bad back and actually said "I have a slipped disc in my back - you want to compare injuries?" Do not rely on the quote they give over the phone. The cleaner told me they purposely do not give accurate quotes over the phone because the customers attention span is about two minutes....instead, they told me upon arrival it was going to cost me $300 MORE than the original quote for the work I requested to get done. This was after they were two hours late. I called the main office all afternoon to pin down a time they would come. It continuously slid back until they pulled into my driveway at 6 pm... They walked on my wet carpets with their street shoes, did not clean the corners of my wood floors and missed entire areas that I had to clean when they left. They pretty much use a steam cleaner and a swifter.... When my husband came home and called management, he was told someone could come back out but that was all they would do. That if I didn't like the service I shouldn't have signed their form (which I did just to get them out of my house!). We paid in protest. After trying to hold the company responsible for their poor customer service and disrespect to my family, James Queen, the Charleston owner, refused to return my call and work out a refund or discount. He kept insisting he send out another crew. Would you allow a company back into your home who blatantly disrespects your family? Would you James? Service was as expected. Our carpet was filthy from our kids and from some foundation work we had done a few months back. For the money it was so much easier and done better than renting a steamer and doing it myself. We had five rooms and our stairs cleaned and it largely did what we expected (we have lots of ink stains, etc that are permanent fixtures). Scheduled appointment online and it was easy. Got a call that they were on the way thirty minutes before. Carlos and Luis showed up at the beginning of my appointment window (which almost never happens). Went over my bid and gave me the up-sell but didn't pressure me. After they were done, I pointed out a few spots and they went back over them. Carlos and Luis were professional and personable which I appreciate. I would use these guys again and would recommend them specifically to a friend.

We just bought our new home and needed the carpet to be cleaned. There were paint marks on the floor, tred marks, and a pretty good stain from the toilet over flowing. For starters we made it absolutely clear to them that we needed the service after 3 due to me (wife) having 2 toddlers to take of. We live with my mom so I didnt want to have to pack them up and be down there while they cleaned. Instead of after 3, they came at 1...so I had to quick get my kids together and meet them at the house only for them to tell me that they COULDN'T clean the carpet!!!! They told me the stains I had were so bad I might as well just replace it. So they I thanked them as politely as I could and they left. Funny thing is, I called a company called Divine Quality Carpet Care and they came, took a look at my carpet and said we will take care of this for you mam...and my carpet looks amazing!!!!!!! i only paid 20 dollars more than Stanleys!!!! Will never reccomend this place! You call yourselves carpet cleaners but come and look at my carpet and say it cant be done. I think they saw that they'd have to put a bit of elbow grease into it and got lazy!!!! Call divine Quality Carpet they are amazing!!!!

For the price I was charged expected my carpets to look brand new. They don't...I can still see dark spots on the high traffic areas. I feel like it was very rushed. Every other carpet company have used went slowly so it kind of threw me for a loop when they did it super fast. Carpet cleaning was great. I walked in white socks and stayed clean as I knew previously I was due for a cleaning. I was disappointed that the person doing the cleaning stated that he had cleaned both set of steps as 13 steps included in purchase. Shortly later checking how damp the second pair of steps were and they were not even damp and had white lint which should have been picked up by cleaner. I would advise to check the work before they leave the house.

When I inquired about the service, I was answered by a real person. Making an appointment was easy. The technician by the name of Miguel Serrano, called the two numbers and left a message prior to his visit. He arrived at the exact time, very professional and explained all the services and even some pointers on how to maintain and take care the flooring. I was ready to tear up an expensive carpet because of terrible stains coming from different sources such as animal feces, vomit, urine, and oily and dirty visitor’s shoes. We’re satisfied with the result. The service was fast and efficient and the technician explained the service very well and with very professional attitude. No sales pitch pressure. I highly recommend their service again. However, their price is a little bit high for those people that are “price sensitive” like me. In my opinion it’s worth it.

This company only cares about your money not about your problem. Representative came in and I told him that living room is the most important part, I need it as clean as possible. He told me alright but not paid attention to anywhere at all. I told him that I still see dirt in the carpet and he told me I did vacuum it ones and this is only what I can do. He did it one more time with all my pushing but as soon as he vacuumed second time, he wrapped up the hose and showed me the bill. Briefly, this company is just a crap, go with local company, don't fool with "nationwide" company dream.

I wasted good money. I called their office and I thought I would get help but there is no such thing as customer satisfaction. Below is my review from several months ago. Today a different crew, Brian Tibbals and Timothy Rodgers, completed the year's work agreed to with an annual contract. They were conscientious and thorough. I'm fortunate to have had two different crews, both of which were excellent. We paid for a contract so that Stanley Steemer (SS) would clean our carpets for a full year and on the first visit, our ceramic tile. We decided upon SS after using a competitor several times and comparing the work to SS's. At first, we thought we'd made a grave mistake. The grout was virtually untouched, the crew rushed, one crew member moved a piece of exercise equipment onto damp carpet--against instructions--and left a stain, and one of the two crew members had to be instructed to protect my furniture from the now damp carpet. Mr. Stanley, in Kansas City, after several unsuccessful attempts to correct the problems locally, resolved our issues and the job was redone, completed correctly. Our next two carpet cleanings were just average; we decided never to pay for a year's contract again as the savings are marginal and the service less than spectacular. One problem we had was the crews rushed through the job so for the next to last cleaning, I asked for a senior crew and was promised one. Little did I know that scheduling has been centralized in Kansas City and that promises made there do not trickle down to local crews. Worse, the crews spend as much time driving long distances from house to house as they do cleaning because long-distance schedulers, unfamiliar with the areas, send them hither and yon to fill a 12+ hour day. When the crew arrived after 6 p.m., I asked how much experience they had; it could not be considered "senior" unless turnover at SS is extremely high. I told them I'd been dissatisfied and that I expected them to do an excellent job in spite of the late hour on a Friday. If they could not, I was willing to send them on their way and reschedule. They put in the time and delivered! These guys, Mr. Selby and Mr. Morris, were conscientious and careful. Instead of 40-45 minutes and out the door, they worked my 5 rooms and a couch until they were clean. I will request them again for my last contract cleaning. SS should know that these two represent the company very well.

My wife and I were on out honeymoon when out dog had an accident. My parents hired this company to clean the mess up so we would have a clean house when I got back. Our tile is the 3d rugged looking tile that had sealant on it and looked great. They removed half of the sealant, and didn't move any furniture. It cost 300 dollars for them to screw up my floor. Every tile still has half sealant, and I can't move furniture because it's shiny underneath. I don't think it can resealed properly because I won't be able to get all the original sealant off which is flaking and will show in the clear new seal. If they don't have the equipment or ability to do a job properly they should do it. I probably have to replace my entire floor if i want it to look good again. They take responsibility and just said that type of tile isn't good for sealing because it can't be resealed. Well maybe they shouldn't use their machine on something they know won't turn out well. It's the job of the professional to deny services if it won't turn out well. They were hired to clean dog feces, not irreversibly damage my flooring. The lazy mover even put pads underneath the legs of my couch like he was going to do behind it, but never did. My floor looks awful after paying 300 dollars for it to be "cleaned".

Stanley Steemer came to clean my caperts I have used them several times the last time I used them my daughter was missing a pair of diamond ear rings. I blamed her and told her she had just put them somewhere and had forgotten where. Well today I had them come for another cleaning. I didn't let them go in her room without me present. Then they moved to my granddaughters rooms I forgot about her birthday and tooth ferry money on her dresser. I left the room to go check on my 3 yr. Old granddaughter I came back the cleaner had knocked over my granddaughters perfume on her dresser and was picking it up. I told him I would do it little did I know while I was gone he took 140.00 cash out of my granddaughters glass case sitting behind her perfume so I guess he knocked over the perfume while stealing her money. I am livid. I know this for a fact. We counted her money this morning before school she had 175.00 she took 5.00 to school with her to by her mom a present at the school store she spent 3.50. After her dinner and bath tonight she went to put the 1.50 change back and only had 30.00 in her box so now I know the workers took her money. So I will never let them back in my house and they will replace her money.

Stanley Steemer (Located in Alexandria Virginia) - DC South. (Thieves) Sent an invoice to to my insurance company that stated service was rendered for six days. The service that the claim was supposed to be for by them was for 4 days. In addition, a faulty dehumidifier was found after 4 days. The company advised they would only bill 2 days of that machine. So why did they send a fraudulent invoice in on services completely? Why have the branch manager and general manager fail to return calls and been dismissive to my complaint? As I read the response from other bad experiences it must be a automatic response from the "owner". As I have not heard anything back from them. I did respond immediately after their request. They asked to make it right..confused how not responding will make things right. As they have taken our money without giving the service they promised. Hi everyone, I am leaving my review for the Stanley streamer customer care department. On Monday morning I called asking for cleaning services. I told the women representative (donna) That i wanted only two rooms cleaned. I was given a price of $105. After two days pass I receive a voicemail stating the price has changed. It went from 105 to 159. Apparently she forgot to mention that Stanley steemer charges for the machine port. Who in the right mind forgets that. Does she not know the company she works for. ALSO did i mention this is my third time with the Company. I was extremely uncomfortable and unhappy with her customer service. I work in customer service industry I know how and which way to handle business. On that other hand the two gentlemen who came to vacuum my condo. Did an amazing job. That I have no complaints.

Technicians were competent and did a fairly good job, but did not clean all the way under my pedestal bed as I had requested (which would have required getting down on their knees). Maybe this was too much to ask. The carpets looked very clean when done. The one bedroom had an odor about two days later. After we treated it with baking soda, and ran a dehumidifier for two more days (we already ran it overnight on the first day), the smell subsided. Overall, I'm satisfied, and prefer using Stanley Steemer to trying to clean the carpet myself. They do get much more water extracted than is possible with a rental unit. They did do an excellent job cleaning my loveseat, and that dried very quickly.

My two projects were done on the same day, with the air vents first. I had already moved furniture to one bedroom and bathroom and kitchen and away from all the vents to make it a little easier to do the job. One person took down and cleaned each vent, while the other person cleaned the air ducts. Then for the carpet, one did the three bedrooms. Then they switched, and the other gentleman did the hallway, steps, living room, and dining room. It took a minute for the house to get back cool, but I was good with that. The carpet looked so good from when they got there, I was impressed . I've told some of my coworkers in case they wanted to get ready for the holidays season

Very polite- introduced themselves and then immediately proceeded to a disclaimer and noted that the dark areas were unlikely to improve as they were high traffic and now “dyed” to the darker color. Very basic once over/one way clean. I would have really appreciated repeat cleanser application and steam in those high traffic areas. Will see what it looks like once dried. Update: Left 3 fans on the area for 24 hours. Area dried well; no odor and the darkness of the high traffic area greatly improved.

I was so excited to have Stanley Steemer company come out and clean my carpet but when I got home I was extremely disappointed. I understand some stains come back but the walkways are still dirty . I’m sorry to say I’ve paid less and gotten better results . If it’s possible for someone else other than the gentlemen that came out the first time to come back and reclean my carpet or a discount . We were last to be serviced in a four hour window (3 -7 PM). Two techs took two hours to clean 20 stairs and a small bathroom. Good job on the stairs with some encouragement, but a poor job on the very dirty small bathroom. We expected the shower to be cleaned, but Tech said it was not possible to clean shower and back splash on the floor. Grout not cleaned as expected. Not a good experience overall.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I honestly wish that I could give negative stars, because they don't even deserve one. I had an appointment scheduled one Saturday with a time window of 2-5. I was moving out of my apartment that weekend and planned on having everything in the carpeted rooms moved out before 2 that day. The cleaners showed up at NOON, two hours early, and I told them that I wasn't ready for them to be at the house yet. After some back and forth they agreed to come back at 2. I later got an email "confirming a new scheduled appointment" for three days from then, in the middle of a work day, which I obviously did not schedule, especially since that Saturday-the day I had scheduled my appointment for- was the last day that I could have my carpets cleaned before official move out. I called, and they said that the office was closed but they would relay my message to someone and have them reach out to me. Hours later...nothing. So I called again, NEEDING my carpets cleaned THAT DAY, and they said the same thing-someone would reach out to me. Another hour goes by and nothing. It's now 4 o'clock and I haven't heard anything from anyone about when they are going to show. So I call a few more times, expressing my frustration, and NEVER ONCE RECEIVED A CALL BACK! I stressed about moving everything out by a certain day and time for them to be able to come out and clean, I'm losing money out of my security deposit (which I'm sure will be more than what I was going to pay to have the carpets cleaned myself), and we had to keep our electricity on for 3 days after we moved out so that our landlord could have the carpets cleaned before new tenants moved in. This is probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I work in customer service and I have for many years, so I am normally really patient when mistakes are made and things go wrong, but this was absolutely ridiculous. I don't think that I have ever written a review about anything before now, especially a bad one, but the service I received, or lack thereof, prompted me to say something about it so that others will be aware. I will never use this company and I highly recommend that no one else does as well.

First, admittedly one of the reschedules was completely my fault. However, I rescheduled and was told the crew would be there between 8-9. I took off work to be at the house so the crew would not have to wait. They never showed and we had to reschedule. I was called and told the crew was on the way. I asked how long it would take, I was told 20 minutes. I was at the house in 15 minutes and I ultimately waited for an hour and a half... I let the crew in, signed some paperwork and left them to do the job. When I returned, the carpet wasn't much better than when I left. Many of the stains remained (which was the main reason I used this company). I later received a receipt via email which had three areas containing initials to indicate acceptance of some of their rules and policies - the letters represented my name, but I never initialed anything or agreed to these policies. I am assuming the crew initialed for me... I also have to say that while I waited and contacted the office, they did give me a discount on the service. Which based on the results, I still felt like I paid too much. I will never use Stanley Steemer again.

The techs that came to the house were professional and efficient. They ended up cleaning our area rug at the house because the website quote tool is inaccurate. It needs to be configured to include the rug size so the quote is correct. I was quoted $107.00 for off-site cleaning. The rug is 8x10. When they got here I was told the price would be $320! My expectation was I would be charged what I was quoted so they did clean the rug at my house for the $107.00. The techs were great, I am not holding them accountable for the company's ineffective web quote too.

I always put carpet fresh in that one room. You can tell the exact trail I sprinkled it . They did a lousy jib on the whole entire house , area rugs they claim to have cleaned , I put carpet fresh in them , rugs still full of carpet fresh . I am really upset that they took advantage of a 82 year old senior citizen ..And I'm not gonna let them get away with this . They were doing such a lousy job they even left some of their equipment laying in his yard ..I am contacting the BBB on them and retaining an attorney .How dare you take advantage of an 82 year old person .

We scheduled for them to come between 8 and 8:30 and they got here around 8:20, so I was already pleased with that. They didn't try to hard sell us on anything more than what we already requested, except they did do our hallway for an extra $10 which was good since there wasn't a way to request it online and I did want it done in addition to our 2 bedrooms and living area. We left to run some errands for about an hour and a half and they called to let us know they'd finished. They did a great job cleaning the carpet and sectional and gave very thorough instructions on when we could start putting things back on the carpet. Very professional and I would definitely use them again.

Stains started coming up all over 8n my home in the areas they cleaned. My cleaning people made me aware it was getting worse and these were not there prior to Stanley steamer came out. The tech I talked to Ben and his Manager Talya stated it was too late only 30 days guarantee. It was 60 days. I think that is very unprofessional and the stains were not there prior to their cleaning. I am very unhappy as I have photos to prove it as well as my cleaning company's concern. Sincerely bad business.

Outrageously expensive. They offer so many options and add-ons every one of which is ridiculously more $$$. They said I needed enzyme deodorizer which has no fragrance.
